Problem in installing P6 V8 on windows 7

i have successfully installed P6 V8 on windows XP
First i installed SQL Server 2008 R2
then i configured a new database automatically by using dbsetup.bat
then i installed p6 v8 successfully
BUT when i had tried to install P6V8 on windows 7 i faced a problem

what can i do to overcome this problem???!!

I would try creating the database from the install scripts rather than the utility to get a better look at exactly where it is failing. Is the error identical when you run this on Oracle and MS SQL?
Note that Windows 7 is not listed as a supported database server platform for P6r8 so you may not get much support from Oracle on this configuration.

I've been using Dev 2000 ver 6i for several months sucessfully on Win 2K RC2. The compiled .fmx's work fine with the ver 6.0 runtime environment under NT 4.0.
The only problem is that the Forms Server won't work till the 1st patch set comes out
(only Oracle knows when!) , so you can't test or deploy the forms as web apps on Win 2K yet. OAS 4.0 appears to work ok on Win 2K.
I have been using the Beta version of Dev 6i and will upgrade to the release version eventually, probably when the patch comes out.

you have two option to start your oracle service. your problem is your oracle serivce is not start.
for that you can start manully....
like
on command prompt.
cmd>net start oracleservice<sid>
or
you can set automatic for oracle service.
go services window. start >>>> run >>>> services.msc <<<enter>>>
check and select oracle services and right click and set automatic..
every time your system is reboot then oracle service is automatically is start.

Problem to install Oracle 8 in Windows 98

I have a problem to install the Oracle 8 client in the Windows 98. The machine is a Pentium IV 1.6 128 Mb RAM.
After install the Oracle client, when I try to execute SQL Net Easy Configuration, appears the Windows Message "Java - This program executed the ilegal operation .... ".
I tried also install the Oracle 8i client, but I coudn't. At the beginning appeared the Windows message "JREW - This program executed ilegal .... "

Also make sure that you also install the FWs updater:

CIMCommunicationException: CIM_ERR_FAILED: IO error: Read timed out
You may try to import the SLD content manually and proceed with the Installation.
The following might be helpful.
Importing SLD content takes lot of time in Solman 4.0

Problem in installing 10g R2 on Windows 2003 Server

We have a great problem when trying to install Oracle Standard Edition 10g to Windows 2003 Server. The procedure begins fine but at some point it stops (around 17% - 20%) without any Error Window.

It worked before.

Open Disk Utility via Spotlight or in the Applications folder stored within the Utilities folder. Close all applications and 3rd party software and choose "Repair Disk Permissions." Reboot the computer when finished, and test to see if the issue is resolved.

I've a problem,when I finished installing vista 64,I should install the bootcamp 2.0,I searched many discussions about this.But I can't find the file 'bootcamp64' on my leopard disk(apple\driver\bootcamp64?),I just find the bootcamp.msi,what can I do?

When you insert your DVD while in Vista, it doesn't open to
/Bootcamp directory and doesn't show an Apple setup.exe ?
I think you are fine... I copied it off and keep it on USB and on a data partition NTFS that I have all my data, downloads and files and haven't used the DVD in a year.

I have to configure a test environment on my pc. I need a 2-node RAC system which will run on Windows.
Problem is this:
I'm creating two networks on my nodes, public and private but when i come to grid installation, Oracle can not identify my networks. I cant see my public and private while installation.
