Problem in iTunes with Sync on a new Mac

Hey guys, need help, I just got a new Mac and wanna sync it with the iphone, So I authorised the computer and then tried to transfer purchased apps, but there always pops up some window with som problem and there is written that I have to authorise PC...but I have done that already so I dont know what else I could do ....
Thanks for the help

Have you run Software Update in System Preferences on your new Mac?
If so and no change and there is no change after re-starting your Mac, try downloading the iTunes install and reinstall it over the existing - no need to delete the existing iTunes app first.

    Any fixes?

I also had problems with iTunes 7 when it first came out, but 7.0.2 is working for me and seems to have fixed a lot of the problems. It's worth a try if you need iTunes 7 for your new iPod.

It asked if I wanted to download updates and I did. However, the new mac is up to date. Itunes won't open. What to do now? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello, Stephen.
Thank you for the question.  You will need to rebuild your iTunes library file in order to open an older version of iTunes.  Below, I have included the article that walks you through this process.  Start with the section labeled Re-creating the iTunes Library file.

  • Can I keep my app list when syncing to a new Mac?

I bought a new iMac as my main computer and want all of my family's idevices synced to the new mac instead of the old one. When I synced my iPhone, it kept my data fine, but it installed every app in my library that would fit on it (about 800 apps!) instead of the select few hundred I had installed on it before.
I want to sync my wife's iPod touch to it now but I don't want this same issue as it takes HOURS to go through and select the right apps. Is there any way to sync to a new computer and have only those apps that are already installed on the device be installed after the sync?
    Thanks!

Use the Mac Migration Assistant to more all the iTunes information to your new computer. This includes the backup of the iDevices. Then you should be able to restore the iDevices from the backup of the device.
Also, you might want to explain better how you transfered and synced with your new computer.

  • Why dosen't my i-pod sync to my new mac mini?

Hello everyone - I am sure the answer to this is pretty simple. But then so am I. Hence the request for help.
I had my i-pod sync'd to an i-mac at my old job. I have since gone freelance and bought a little mac mini to run things from.
However - when I try to sync from the new mac mini my i-pod isn't found - scan for device dosen't find it. I have tried a reset of i-sync but still nothing.
Is there something I can do so the new mac 'finds' my i-pod?
    Hope that makes sense.
Thanks to anyone who can help

If you are using iTunes 4.8 or later, iSync is not involved in transfering your contact and calendaring records to an iPod - iTunes alone is responsible for this process.
Setting up to sync your iPod
If you do not have iTunes 4.8 or later installed on your computer, you can use iSync to transfer the contact and calendar information on your computer to your iPod. Before you can use iSync with your iPod, you need to add your iPod to iSync by following the instructions below. You need to do this only once.
If you have iTunes 4.8 or later, you use iTunes to transfer contacts and calendars to your iPod. For more information, open iTunes (in your Applications folder), and choose Help > "iTunes and Music Store Help."
To add your iPod to iSync:
    1. Make sure you have the latest iPod software installed. Choose Apple menu > Software Update to see if there are any iPod software updates available.
    2. Connect your iPod to your computer using the cable provided with your iPod.
    3. Open iSync.
    4. Choose Devices > Add Device, then double-click the iPod in the Add Device window.
An iPod appears in the iSync window.

  • And need the new iTunes 11.1 to be able to use my iPhone on iTunes but I need the new mac software update OXS 10.6.8, but my mac doesn't need or have an update what should I do! I'm upset :'(

and need the new iTunes 11.1 to be able to use my iPhone on iTunes but I need the new mac software update OXS 10.6.8, but my mac doesn't need or have an update what should I do! I'm upset :'(

    The requirements for iTunes:
    Macintosh System Requirements
Mac computer with an Intel Core processor
OS X version 10.6.8 or later
    400MB of available disk space
Broadband Internet connection to use the iTunes Store
Your Mac must be able to run OSX 10.6.8. If you can run that OSX then you can run iTunes 11.1.
    Which Mac do you have?

  • I was syncing my ipod touch on a friend's computer and now want to sync to my new mac book, will I lose all my stuff?

I was syncing my ipod touch on a friend's computer and now want to sync to my new mac book, will I lose all my stuff?

Not if you do the following:
    - Transfer iTunes purchased to the new computer:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
    - Transfer other music by using one of the third-party programs discussed here:
    new PC: Apple Support Communities
    - Move a copy of the iPod backup file from the old to new computer.  That file is located here:
    Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
    Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
    - After the stuff is moved/transfered, restore the iPod from the backup you just moved to the new computer and sync as necessary.

  • Can I install Windows XP SP1 with Bootcamp on my new Mac Mini 2011 i7 ?

Can I install Windows XP SP1 with Bootcamp on my new Mac Mini 2011 i7 ?

Baiscally if your Mini came with Lion Pre-installed new then No you can't use XP.
The Lion installed computers no longer support XP OR Vista via Apple's Boot Camp.
For one thing Apple only supported XP with SP2 in order to install it on pre Lion computers.
If the Mini had come pre-installed new with say 10.6 then you could have installed XP and still of been able to upgrade to Lion without any issues as you already have the drivers for XP installed. Lion only has the drivers for W7.

  • How do I move EVERYTHING in iTunes (including playlists) to my new Mac?

Sorry if this seems like an overly simple question but I'm stumped...
I need to move my iTunes collection over to a new Mac. I know how to move audio files but I also want to move the my *playlists, ratings, history, album art* etc. (Both machines are running iTunes 10.2.)
BTW, I'm not in interested in a third party solution. I spent over $1,000 on iTunes so I expect Apple to have an official solution.

    No need to double post.
As already noted - use Migration Assistant. It is an official Apple app therefore an official solution.
You can also drag your iTunes folder to the new Mac and replace the iTunes folder on the new Mac.

  • HT1719 I have music on my Shuffle and want to transfer it onto iTunes but when I go to Sync it, it warns me that all the music on my Shuffle will be deleted and replaced with what's on my iTunes. I have a new mac-mini and my old computer was an HP.

Can anyone tell me how to tranfer the music that is on my Shuffle to iTunes? When I go to Sync it, it gives me a warning that all the music on my Shuffle will be deleted and replaced with what is on my iTunes. I recently changed computers from an HP to a Mac-Mini and did not transfer/sync the itunes prior to getting rid of my itunes. So the music I had on itunes does not appear in my library. Help please!

  • Problems With Syncing Info To New Device

I have tried to sync info from my previous palm to my new palm.  The sync is from the PC to the palm.  The sync stalls when it gets to the calendar.  It is just stuck there and I can't seem to get past it.  Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

  • Once I have moved my iTunes media file to my new mac, will I have to erase and sync my iPod?

I have successfully managed to move my itunes media file from my windows pc to my new mac and all is well. However, of course it hasnt copied my itunes, its just copied all the stuff in it. So information about the number of times a song has been played or any playlists have not been copied over. Can i get this information? What will happen when I plug in my iPod to sync? Will I have to erase and sync?

Thank you for your prompt response - I did as you said and did a drag and drop into the iTunes window - it imported and got my album art from the net. When I started Itunes with the shift key down I was prompted to choose a library but since I copied over the media folder and not the library folder I was unable to select that so I guess I will have to create a new library and add in all the music, videos, etc. unless I wait for my laptop and export the library or at least that seems to be the case? In short, all my data (iTunes media folder) is on my external drive and can be added to the blank iTunes screen but I can not choose a library folder. Is there anyway around completely making all those playlists again? I am not sure my laptop will survive the shop with data intact and really hate to start over on those.
In an unrelated question - I collect old TV shows from the 1950's. Can I make playlists within the home video folder somehow?  In other words like one for Quiz shows, one for comedies, one for police and detective shows, etc. while I am remaking all my playlists for my music if I end up having to go that route?
Once again thank you for helping me out. I am not too Itunes savvy and really appreciate you taking the time to answer.

  • Problem with USB speakers and new Mac Mini

I have a USB sound system consisting of a pair of Harman Kardon soundsticks and a woofer from probably 10 years ago (bought and used originally with a Mac). I have tried driving it my new Mac Mini. It works fine for about a minute; then the music stops. Here's what I've tried to diagnose the problem:
    1. The problem does not occur when these speakers are driven from my Macbook Air (about 3 years old).
    2. The OS and iTunes software is up to date on both machines (10.9.5 and 12.0.1.26).
    3. It does not depend on which USB port I use on the Mac Mini.
    4. Using a port on a USB extender on the Mac Mini does not solve the problem.
    5. The iTunes Preference settings are the same on both machines.

Sorry, no actual experience with USB Audio devices.
I found this in the Pro forum, but the outlook doesn't seem good:

  • TS1717 Having problems lauching iTunes on my pc, dowloaded new version, getting error message that iTunes is not installed correctly or corrupted, reinstall. I'm afraid I will loose everything, tried to back up to earlier date, system diognosis said incompa

Having problems launching iTunes on my pc. Had iTunes on this particular pc for over a year. Have downloaded all of the new updated versions. Now I get an error message saying "This copy of iTunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please reinstall." I have backed up the pc to an earlier date when when the program was working, and also performed serveral system diagnosis all saying the program is incompatible. Searched for several compatible programs, none worked. All this happened several days after visiting iTunes.  I'm afraid that if I reinstall iTunes that I will loose everything and have to start all over. Eventhough everything is saved in an iCloud account and this particular pc. Never had a problem till now. Appreciate any help.   Thank you,   cld

Let's try a repair install of iTunes first.
Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
Can you launch your iTunes now?
