when i restart the instance my application works fine,but intermittently i get this problem .
i have used request controller architecture, when ever a request is made it will go to the controller.jsp and from there the requested file will be forwarded.
Previously i have used the same application on
os windows 2000 server
iws 6.0
jdk1.3
And there was no problem with the application.

Have you tried increasing your stack size?

  • Problem with IPSec on  solaris 9

    Hi all
    I'm facing a problem with IPSec on solaris 9 that I didn't have with Solaris 8 (With the Security package installed).
    I've an application that creates SA's by using the pf-key interface.
    What it does is first doing a GETSPI to a specific SPI and a specific Destination IP Address.
    This will create an SA and put it in a LARVAL state. After about a minute my application will do an UPDATE to this SPI and that command should change the state of the SA from LARVAL to MATURE but instead I get an error saying that this SPI & IP address already exist (errno = 17).
    Well of course it's already exist that's the all point it should just change the state of an existing SA.
    This exact scenarion was is working fine on Solaris 8.
    Am I doing somthing wrong (maybe there is a package on the solaris 9 that I need to install ?)
    or is this a bug in solaris 9.
    If anyone has any idea on how to do that (without using a one step ADD for a new SA) I will be very thankfull.

    Sorry for using reply for querying.
    I got a problem in creating a Security Association using the PF_KEY Socket (first used SADB_GETSPI and got SPI,with SPI tried to update SADB_UPDATE).
    Getting this problem on Sun Solaris 8.
    It returns errno 122 . operation not supported.
    Here is my mailId [email protected]
    I got few more queries regarding PF_KEY socket.
    Not much directions are available also for pf_key socket in internet.
    Monitor produces the following error.
    # ipseckey monitor
    "Base message (version 2) type UPDATE, SA type AH.
    Error Operation not supported on transport endpoint from PF_KEY.
    Message length 16 bytes, seq=4294967294, pid=450."
    Here is my mailId [email protected]
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Oracle 10G installation problem, and errors on SOLARIS 10 x86

    HI.
    I installed the last version of oracle 10g on a x86 SOLARIS 10 system.
    When the installer arrived at Configuration assistants, the window is stopping, and I can't see forward. But when I look at the installAction.log, the installation is checked as OK (?).
    When I launch sqlplus, and startup inside, it is said the ora-00205 error (problem with control files), and in the end, I'm really suprised there's no the database I told the installer to create at the beginning. But should I be surprised? As I didn't see really the end of the installation, and the installer didn't propose me the PATH where to install the DB, well, I guess there's something wrong.
    Could anybody tell me how to solve these problems, please?
    Thank you :)

    Two options:
    1. Create database using DBCA - execute $ORACLE_HOME/bin/dbca
    2. Create database manually (without DBCA)

  • Problem occured with installation Solaris 10 on x86!

    Hello all!
    I am a newbie with Solaris, please help me to resolve this problem following:
    I setup successfully Solaris 10 on my PC, during the processing, I did not choose value option for DHCP (Option No), then, the host name was unknown
    I set the name for NFS as Ora9i. But when my Solaris operating system startup, it request login console. I tried to test with host name "unknown", password correctly, but I did not log in console or XWindows.
    How do I do now?
    Thank you!

    (I am not sure that the install process has been the correct one)
    anyway:
    at the console login prompt you have to write the superuser name and its password... not the name of the host.
    login: root
    password: rootpassword

    best regards

    I see mention of a similar problem, but only with early development releases of solaris10 branded zones running on Solaris 11 development bits. It seems as though this is not what you are running.
    Since there are no swap caps nor brand emulation in place, the next thing I would suspect would be that you somehow have inconsistencies between key libraries (e.g. libc) and the kernel. This could happen if you have a full-root zone that has been force attached (zoneadm -z <zone> attach -F). In the past, I've seen products that do this under the covers (e.g. Veritas Cluster) so it may have happened without your knowledge. If it is a sparse root zone, you may want to run "zoneadm -z <zone> detach; zoneadm -z <zone> attach -u". Prior to doing so, take whatever precautions you would normally take when patching a system.
    If you open a support call about this I bet the first advice you are going to get is to patch, as you seem to be 2+ years behind. Also, newer releases of Java 5 are available at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javasebusiness/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase5-419410.html.

  • Problem building BDBXML in Solaris 10

    Hi,
    I'm trying to build BDBXML in Solaris 10 to produce 64 bit libraries (Sun Fire T1000 server).
    I use the build script as follows :
    ./buildall.sh -p solaris -b 64 -c cc -x CC -m /usr/sfw/bin/gmake with-dbxml-prefix=/usr/local/BerkeleyDBXML.2.2 with-berkeleydb-prefix=/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.3 with-pathan-prefix=/usr/local/pathan with-xerces-prefix=/usr/local/xerces with-xquery-prefix=/usr/local/xquery.1.2  enable-java
    The build terminates with an error :
    "/downloads/dbxml-2.2.13/pathan/include/pathan/internal/StringPool.hpp", line 75:Error: The function "memcpy" must have a prototype.
    1 Error(s) detected.
    Another problem I noticed is, though I specified -b 64 option in the build script, it produces 32 bit
    BerkleyDB library. It produces xerces library as 64 bit.
    Please help me.

    Pertaining to my comment and the response from George Feinberg here:
    http://cafe.elharo.com/xml/the-state-of-native-xml-databases/
    After we received no response to this thread, I tried addressing the issue through our account rep, and we provided all the information requested (along with the fixes we could make):
    "I'm working with our product engineers on this, and they have asked to find out the compiler being used, and flags being passed to the buildall.sh script, along with full output of the build (which will include the error messages)."
    After that, nothing, despite repeated followup on my part including an offer of an admin login on our server, and repeated promises by Oracle to have a Sleepycat developer work with us directly on this issue. Responses from the (unpaid) eXist developers on their mailing list take hours, not months, by comparison. So you'll please excuse the opinions I formed as a result of this experience, my comment at cafe.elharo.com was not made lightly. We tried 2.3.10 and had the same problems btw.

  • A problem logging in in Solaris Express Developer Edition 05/07

    Hi all.
    I just upgraded Solaris 10 11/06 to Solaris Express Developer Edition 05/07 on a Sun Ultra 20 M2 and a strange problem arose: after root has logged in in a Gnome session, then when another user tries to log in in Gnome everything slows down: the login screen with "Window manager" takes some 20 secs to go away and then "Panel" sticks there... The only option is killing X with ctrl+alt+backspce. This only happens if root logs in with Gnome, and not in CDE. If root doesn't log in, nothing strange happens ever.
    The problem seems unrelated with the user that logs in:
    - existing users which could login in Solaris 10 11/06 now have this problem
    - new users have this problem too...
    Rebooting the machine and never logging in to Gnome with root "solves" the problem.
    Has anyone ever had this problem?
    Can be a problem relating to upgrading?
    Thanks,
    Enrico.

    You should probably direct SXDE queries to the forums at http://opensolaris.org, more chance of a response from the JDS developers there.

  • WLS 7.0 Active Directory authenticator - problems starting managed server (Solaris 8)

    Has anyone managed to setup a WLS 7.0 Active Directory authenticator and booted

    Solved the problem. The 'domain root' directory specified in the remote start configuration,
    must contain a copy of the file 'SerializedSystemIni.dat' that was created along
    with the domain, in order to boot when an AD authenticator is configured. If an
    AD authenticator is not configured, no file is required. This was not a platform
    specific issue; on Win2K I had configured the 'domain root' remote start parameter
    to point to an existing domain root and not a new directory.

    Oracle 10G release 1 only support up to Solaris 9.
    You probably need to install 10G release 2. The second release of major Oracle version is always more stable anyway.

    You might want to ask about patching issue on Solaris update forums since as far as I can tell issue is not related to the fact that patch is for Application Server - it seems to be generic problem with patch signature verification. Solaris update and patching forum URL:
    http://forum.sun.com/jive/forum.jspa?forumID=316
    As for the asadmin question: first you need to start your server using 'asadmin start-domain' command and you do not need to know the port number to do that. After that you can try accessing https://localhost:4849 (4849 is the default value for admin application URL port number).

  • Problems logging in from Solaris 8 client

    I was given a tarball, from Sun, with instructions on how to install and configure iDS 5.1 to work with Solaris clients.
    I was able to bring over all of my nis maps successfully and my automounts work on the client machine from the NFS server so I know there's communication going on through LDAP. The one thing that doesn't work is when I try and login to the client machine as a valid user. It prompts for the password but rejects the login. I can log in as root to the client and su to any valid username in the LDAP directory and it's fine. I show the correct id and home directory. It's only when I try and enter a password that I have the problem.
    Both the ldap server and client are Solaris 8 2/02 HW release with patches through May. The machines are on a private network so there's no outside interference.
    I've double checked the encryption setting, and the error logs don't show anything that tips me off. Any ideas?
    Thanks

    I also tried to remove the client and re-entered it. Also I tried to jumpstart another client at the same time and that worked. But however this particular client does not boot.
    Looking at some sites, I found that env variables such as mfg-switch?, diag-device? and boot-device needs to be set right values. I verified them as well.
    For eg:
    boot-device is set to "disk "
    diag-device? is set to false
    However I do not have mfg-switch? env variable. But this not available in other clients which boot properly. So I don't think these are causing problems.
    Another point was that it could be due to network issues. I booted the client, opened a telnet session from JS server to the client and ran snoop on JS server. The connectivity was ok and snoop showed the same MAC address as configured in /etc/ethers.
    My only guess is if something is wrong with the port configuration on the LAN switch. I believe JS works in Layer 2 level.
    Can you please let me know if you have come across with problems due to network port configuration in LAN switch.

  • Installation problem: Java Chartbuilder for Solaris

    Hi all,
    I have downloaded Oracle Java Chart Builder for Solaris. It's a jar file in 3.8 M size. According to the documentation, I think I suppose to extract it, so I use this command to extract it:
    $jar xvf chartbuilder_kit.jar
    This will just give me a META-INF folder which contains a MANIFEST.MF file. Other than that I get nothing much. I have tried the NT version of it( a zip file) and after I unzip it I suppose get a set of folder which included a lib, doc, demos, bin and Meta-inf.
    Please advise, is it because of I use a wrong way in extracting the jar file????????
    Thanks for reading.....

    I'm having the same problem installing on W2K, what I discovered is that it's unable to start listener, I hat to start it manually but it still won't end tihs task.
    I also have a 9i Client / Manager software installed in a 9i Home which disapeared from home selector.
    If I try to deinstall OEM10G it'll just get to a 2% advance and stop...
    ...is this a BETA?

  • Problem with Jni on Solaris

    Hello I am using a Native code that is working perfect on Windows .
    I have used DllMain calls to initialize my threads .
    I attach my lower stack threads to the JNI by using these methods.
    Well I want to know what is way to put the same functionality on Solaris.As this particular method is specific to Windows Platform only.
    BOOL APIENTRY DllMain( HANDLE hModule,                     // handle to DLL module
    DWORD ul_reason_for_call,      // reason for calling function
    LPVOID lpReserved                // reserved
         BOOL returnValue = FALSE;
    switch (ul_reason_for_call)
              case DLL_PROCESS_ATTACH:
                   // We do not perform any initialization
                   // within this section. Instead we have
                   // chosen to use the JNI_OnLoad function
                   // as the library initialization point.
                   returnValue = TRUE;
                   break;
              case DLL_THREAD_ATTACH:
                   // We are to initialize the thread local storage
                   // variables in this call.
                   if( BridgeUtility::getInstance() -> threadInitialize() != 0 ) {
                        returnValue = FALSE;
                        printf(" Thread initialize failed..\n");
                   }else {
                        printf(" Thread initialize succed..\n");
                        returnValue = TRUE;
                   break;
              case DLL_THREAD_DETACH:
                   // We are to uninitialize the thread local storage
                   // variables in this call.
                   if( BridgeUtility::getInstance() -> threadUninitialize() != 0 )
                        returnValue = FALSE;
                   else
                        returnValue = TRUE;
                   break;
              case DLL_PROCESS_DETACH:
                   // We do not perform any uninitialization
                   // within this section. Instead we have
                   // chosen to use the JNI_OnUnload function
                   // as the library initialization point.
                   returnValue = TRUE;
                   break;

    If your aim is to load the library and initialize it
    that one time, consider using the pthread once routines
    to handle library initialization. See, for example,
    chapter 5 of Butenhof's "Programming with POSIX
    threads".
