Problem in Leaves administration

Hi Friends,
we have a problem regarding Leaves.
Employee has taken a privelage leave of 18 days but it is showing total he has availed
36 days.
We have checked all his time infotypes and leaves are shown as 18 only
For cross checking we have checked the B2 cluster to make sure no one has not manupluated
but even in the B2 cluster also leaves are correctly mentioned as 18 only.
I tried the all the possible ways in checking his infotypes but could not able to trace how
it has given 36 leaves.
Pls advise me where i went wrong.

even we had issue previously
so pls check all the infotypes for this PERNR once
did u checked the above mentioned tables check PSA grping and ESG grping for this employee
check the grouping of time recording once
espescially with the TM infotypes

check the request in Rptarqdbview and see in WF to whom it is routed
if you know the workitem check the next agent in SWIA.
and ensure WF is triggered
check the WF associated in V_t554s_web for the absence

Urgent !!!! Problem in Leave request

Hi Experts,
I am facing one problem in leave request. When manager tries to approve leave request although is able to do so but he is getting one message "You do not have sufficient Authorization" .
I dont know why this message is coming.
Please provide the solution.

ESS - Leave Administration - Work flow item

Hi experts,
My PM asked me to prepare a document on ESS i got some inputs from different threads.
Now I need an input regarding workflow item
In Leave Administration after approval of the leave employee can delete the information which was work flow id as assigned to services the id is WS1000109
Which work flow id should assign to services.
Please help me in this regard

There are two things
1. Workflow ID - Employee can't delete a WF ID can delete WF items
2. Workflow item - No need to assign workflow item to a service , coz this would be done by the system internally for all the modules .

Any problems with leaving it on?

I am going to buy the intel iMac this weekend but had one question left: can you keep it on all the time without causing excessive wear and tear? I currently have a laptop and have experienced numerous problems with leaving it on for long periods of time. I hope the desktops are better. Any comments would be appreciated.

It's actually better to leave a Mac (w/ OS X) on rather than shutting it down. First the start-up is what causes the most wear and tear on a HD. Next, OS X actually is programmed to do it's maintenance routines in the wee hours of the night. If the machine is off it can't do maintenance and you have to do it manually.
When you get your iMac go into the Energy Saver control pane. Set the monitor to go to sleep after whatever time you are comfortable with (I use 15 minutes). Set the computer to never go to sleep, and set the hard drive to sleep when no in use.

Problem: textbox leave empty string("") instead of null

Hello, I have a problem with textboxes. By default, they always are initialized to null, but when I start entering and removing data from textboxes, many times they leave an empty string "" instead of null.
And, of course, it's not the same a null value as an empty string and thus, I haven't got the expected result in queries to database.
Thus, I always have to compare textbox values with "" and null. It's very tedious and not elegant solution. I would like to know if there is another way to get the values as null instead of empty strings.

Yes. Once you entered and remove the text it will evaluated as you told .
For ur case u can Try the condition as
if ( instance !=null && instance.length !=0)
be sure instance != null check b4 other wise u can get NullPointerException

Problem getting CF8 administrator to work on windows 2008 server

When I create a file helloworld.cfm in root folder and browse to http://localhost/helloworld.cfm, it renders cfoutput fine <cfoutput>#now()#</cfoutput> shows the correct date and time.
But, when I go to the CF Administrator and enter the password for the initial setup, I keep getting the following error. Anyone have any idea how to fix it? I have checked permission everything seems fine.
If there is no solution, then I am thinking of upgrading to CF 10. If I buy and upgrade from CF8 to CF10, can I do a fresh install on a new 2008 server, or do i need to have CF8 installed correctly first?

For CF 10 :
The installer of CF 10 is indepedent of CF 8.
If you want to keep both CF 8 and CF 10 on the same server, then yes it is possible.
If you just want CF 10, then you can uninstall CF 8 and install CF 10.
However if you want to keep CF 10 only and migrate all CF 8 settings to CF 10 then make sure that when you install CF 10, the service of CF 8 should be running. At the end of CF 10 install, you will be asked : Do you want to migrate all the CF 8 settings to CF 10? Say yes and all CF 8 settings should be migrated to CF 10

Problem in leave workflow working in ESS

Dear All ,
I ahve modified standard workflow for leave WS12300111 . I have 2 levels of approval . The step which goes to approver is standard task TS12300097 which is calling DUMMY method of CL_PT_REQ_WF_ATTRIBS class .
Now my problem is suppose 100 people have applied for the leave after managers approval it workitem will go to HR . So in HR's UWL he/she will have 100 workitem . Now supose HR clicks on first workitem in by logging in to ESS . when HR clicks on pop-up comes on the top it has one table sort of thing , here all the 100 leave request r getting diplayed .
I want Table to dislay only the Leave request of an employee belonging to That workitem . Please help in this regard . This is very high priority issue .

We are using EP 7.0 , ECC 6.0.
when an employee is requesting leave, the request is not going to the substitute but it is going to the manager who is in leave.
I haven't worked on ESS/MSS. How and where can i check for the problem? and how to resolve it.

Problem with Delegated Administrator

Dear All
I am having probelm to get the JES2005/Q4 get working on my server,
installation goes okay with no error and installation log and events looks okay, after installation and configuration of Delegated administrator i can not login to DA with admin or amadmin username name and I keep getting invalid username msg. the funny thing is I can login to com express with admin username but not to DA. I tried almost everthing but I can not undrestand where is the problem
Any help is apperciated.

Problem with leave to list-processing and return to screen

Hi all,
I am designing a screen in which I have provided a pushbutton which will allow the user to upload (via BDC) the price list to VK11 transaction. And consequently, after upload the BDC message will be captured and displayed as an ALV list. for this, I am using leave to list-processing and return to screen 100 statement.
My problem is, when I return from the alv list screen by pressing back/any button the called screen 100 is displayed as a dialog window. but actually the screen 100 is a normal screen.
How can I rectify this problem?

Certificate upload problems in Visual Administrator (Elster)

Hello all,
to communicate with german tax authorities we have to upload a certificate to the Visual Administrator. The necessary steps are described in SAP Note 1279472 and 1275854.
When I upload the certificate the Visual Administrator asks for another certificate after I entered the correct password ("Load chain certificate #1 from"). And then I get the error messages
"Certificate: ID21143: Certificate format error: java.lang.ClassCastException" and
"Certificate: ID21112: Not a PKCS#8 formatted key. PublicKey algorithm not implemented: PKCS#7 data"
As I followed the notes step by step I have no idea why it doesn't work. What other reasons can there be?

Hi David,
can you please tell what type of certificate you are trying to upload? which format? That we way we can figure out the problem you are facing.
Try to include all the certificates botht the private key and the public key together in the PKCS12 format. If you have all certifcates try to use Open ssl tool to convert into pkcs12 format and then try to import into VA and i think this should work.
If you dont use the PKCS12 format then the VA will keep on asking for the certiifcates. This is what i had once and may be different in your case

This is a typical error when the fully qualified hostname of the machine cannot be properly resolved.
Said differently, can a client on the network connect to the machine server.dominio.com ? Is this machine known in DNS ?
