Problem in Loading Lync 2010 Control Panel

After installing Lync Group Chat Server on Lync 2010, The control Panel is not opening. As i have installed the Lync 2010 and Group Chat server on same server due to hardware limitations. In IIS Manager 7.0 i can only run one site at the moment . When in
using MGCWebservice i have stopped Lync internal and External Web Sites and started and MGCWebservice. Now tell the solution how i can run both at the same time coz both using https and Port : 443.
I need to run the control panel and MGCwebservice using IIS Manager 7.0 on same server machine.
Need a solution on urgent basis.

Collocating Microsoft Lync Server 2010, Group Chat with any server role is not supported.
You can change the default port for Lync Server internal and external web service.
You need to change it in Lync Topology Builder and run the step 2 with Lync Server Deployment Wizard, the port will changes automatically
in IIS. But each time you access Simple you need to specify the port you used for Lync web service. You may also have trouble by joining a Lync meeting with Lync client.
i recommend you deploy Lync Server Group Chat server on a seperate server. It is supported in a virtualized environment.

  • Lync Server 2010 Control Panel - "navigation to the webpage was canceled"

    Hi All,
I just installed Lync Server 2010. The SQL 2008 is installed on a separate box and both servers are on Windows 2008 R2.
However, when I try to start the "Lync Server 2010 Control Panel"  i get a blank page with the following message "Navigation to the webpage was canceled"
The Installation had no errors and went well. But I did have one problem in the Topology Builder where is asked to create a File Share and asked for FQDN and File Share. I entered "Server1.domain.com" and File Share "Poolshare" but it did
not like it and error with a red cross saying..
"FQDN Server1.domain.com is already used in this topology"
So in the end I just change it to "Server1" then published and ran the installation sucessfully and all services are started OK
Any idea? could it be that the file share is not using FQDN?
    Thanks
    ECL

I have reveiwed this topic but have not been able to fing my answer. I am getting the same result when attempting to connect to the Lync Control Panel and the webpage saying "navigation was canceled..". Here are the details, any assistance is greatly
    appreciated:
I have an existing OCS 2007 R2 server setup in the domain. My domain is company.CORP. It is a Standard Edition server for IM and Presence only. There is an Edge server as well and I have PIC enabled. My sipinternaltls SRV record to the current SE Front End.
All works great. There is a SIP.company.com record in the domain too. I am standing up LYNC 2010 environment on HyperV and ran topology builder twice because I had to fix a name. (I see in Mac's comment that I need to run step2 again. Why is that?)
My Share is on the HyperV server that is hosting the Front End server but they are completely different servernames. My topology published successfully and create some data in the File Share and the Backend DB was created and populated with tables. The certificates
were successfully applied and all services started right up. The latest version of Silverlight was installed and the server was rebooted. Still the darn White Page with 'Navigation to the webpage was canceled'.
I am able to go into IIS and launch the Control Panel successfully by browsing on the "cscp" directory for the Lync Server Internal Web Site. I can also connect to the Control Panel by using the
httpS://admin.company.com/cscp but I have to put  'cscp ' in the path. I cannot browse AD using the Control Panel to find my TestLyncUser1 account but I can find the account, and successfully enable
the account, using the Lync Management Shell. The account was enables and was able to successfully login to the Lync FE server (manually, since the SRV record point to OCS).
This is where I am stuck. Why won't it launch from the Programs File Tool and why do I have to designate the CSCP in the URL? I am Not sure why I couldn't browse AD successfully in the Control Panel yet I could with Powershell. I will begin troubleshooting
that issue next. Could it be because my sip.company.com record points to a different OCS Pool? Or my SRV internaltls record points to the OCS Pool? Microsoft supports standing up the two environments side-by-side and migrating but maybe I am missing something.
    Any ideas anyone?
I want to add that I will be having a FE Pool and have named and published my second FE but I have not installed it. The Pool VIP is created in DNS and only pointing to FE1 right now.

  • LYNC 2013 control panel error: this page cannot be displayed

    Dear sir,
Now i am suffering with the lync 2013 control panel problem, i cannot open it and got the error "This page can't be displayed" as below screenshot shows,
I've tried some ways, but still same problem
    1. Reflush the dns, checked the A record and SRV record of the FE are normally.
    2. checked the IIS and also cannot find any problem.
3, reboot the FE server/IIS, and AD.
    4. i can open the console page normally via web :https://localhost/cscp
    5. i can ping the FE server domain name and return the right IP info.

    Hi TECH-Tommy,
The certificate is under “Personal” store.
In addition, can you open the page via
    https://admin.domain.com ?
Also please try to clear IE cache and treat the FQDNs for admin, pool or FE server name as trusted zone.
    Best regards,
    Eric

  • Navigation to webpage was canceled when opening Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Control Panel

Ok, yes I know there are many threads with similar titles, but my problem is different in that it doesn't happen every time.
The first time I access the Control Panel I get the error:
"Navigation to the webpage was canceled
    What you can try:
    Refresh the Page"
Clicking Refresh the Page works, kind of.  It brings up the admin console, but I get the spinning lights, which eventually resolves to an error at the top of the page that reads: "An operation failed.  Network communication failed.  Verify
    your connection and try again."
Then if I click to other parts, things seem to be fine for the most part, I sometimes see the Network error, and often it is slow.
Port 443 is running through an HLB and this is setup exactly like my other Lync cluster, which doesn't have this issue.  Internal web services URL is lynccontent and points to HLB VIP.  Admin redirect is lyncadmin and points to HLB VIP.
Going to the /cscp page of each FE or of the pool from IE works every time, but lyncadmin seems to have the same issue (at least on FE1).
    Any thoughts?

    Hi,
    Could you perform the followings:
Make sure there're no duplicate records in the DNS Servers
Flush your DNS Cache at the Server & Client
Refresh any DNS Cache at the HLB (if any)
When the error appears, right click on the console and provide a screenshot on this
If you suspect that FE1 is the culprit, had you tried turning it off and monitor the situation?
    Thanks!

  • Lync server 2010 control panel SoapException error

We had a multi-site installation of Lync 2010 up (2 FE servers, 2 back-end SQL servers, 1 director, 1 Group Chat) and running when suddenly (and no one has any explanation of what happened, of course) no one can logon the Control Panel.  Those in the
CsAdministrator group are flat out denied (not an RBAC denial) and new users added to the group received a SoapException (CS2001, CS2008) and a long, drawn-out explanation of why it failed:
An operation failed. System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was not able to process request.  System.InvalidOperationException: Unable to generate a temporary class (result=1)  Error CS2001: source file "c:\windows\temp\xxxx.cs"
could not be found  error CS2008: no inputs specified
At the same time, the Group Expansion is also no longer working and the Group Chat Lookup Service refuses to stay running (although I'm not sure this ever worked, given the other issues)...   I did find some blogs/articles that mention something
about the permissions on the C:\windows\temp folder for other products (FIM, Visual Studio) but not for Lync.  The installation is still in beta testing, so a complete re-do isn't beyond the scope of the install... just something I would rather avoid
    if possible.
    Suggestion? ideas? questions??
    Thanks for the pointers...

As you stated that you have done with the permissions of CSAdministrator group than I will suggest you that kindly check the event viewer and work on error or even post the event error here because I dont think so that you should not connect with Lync after

  • Lync Server Control Panel : Insufficient access rights to perform the operation;

    Hi team,
I have a strange problem in managing Lync users through control panel. But I can enable/disable and Manage users through power shell. Am getting an error " Insufficient Rights to perform the operations" when i try through control panel
Please can someone help me urgently on tihs. I have all the users in a separate OU from where the RTC and CS groups are available. Is there any issue with the delegation?

    Hi,
You will receive this error message when you attempt to manage Lync users who are members of protected admin groups in Active Directory (such as Enterprise Administrators etc.).
Typically I use Lync Management Shell, so don't get this error often as it only occurs in the Control Panel.
Editing the properties of the user object you are attempting to enable / disable in AD, and enabling inheritance on under the security tabs advanced options will also work around the problem, but you may not wish to do this. The inheritance change will revert
itself in 15 minutes or so I believe.
Perhaps someone can advise of an alternate solution through group membership / permissions, but as I don't have the issue often I've not looked into it at any great depth.
    Kind regards

I post here because System refuses to let me post in Tiger forum depite my being a forum member since purchasing my G4-500 new just a few months after coming out.
The problem is associated with my PowerBook17" bought new March a year ago. I currently am running 10.4.6 Tiger.
On my G4-500 using Panther 3.9 I am allowed to drag and drop the load order of extension and control panel in System > Accounts > Startup items, at will.
If I try the same thing on my PowerBook 17" It want let me Drag or if I do get it appear to drag what it does instead is remove from the list.
    Suggestions?

How do I mark one portion of my question as being answered ( the part so named in the subject line.) and one part as not part about not being able to get into sub category so far as adding a question.
You can use the Helpful buttons without using Solved. Solved will result in your thread being marked as answered, Helpful won't. It is possible to mark a question answered without marking any posts as helpful or solved. You would do this if you found the solution somewhere other that the thread with the question. It is good form to post what the solution is so that others can benefit. You can go back & "unmark" a question as answered, but I'm not sure if there is a time limit from the time you originally marked it answered.

    Hi,Rich
    Here are some suggestions:
1)Please make sure you didn't type wrong FQDN for the pool name on FE server by mistake
2)Please try to add https://lync.example.xyz/cscp to your Trust sites zone on your FE server.
3)Please verify that if your IE proxy is set or "Automatically detected settings" is set in the internet options,if so please set exclusions to bypass reverse proxy server for
    https://lync.example.xyz or turn off it.
4)Please disable IPv6 on FE server and try again to see if it works
5)Here are some other information related, hope these can give you some tips.

  • Cant access lync control panel

i have troubles opening the lync server control panel, when i login using my administrator i get "navigation to the webpage was canceled".
to get the obvious out of the way:
    - DNS record for admin already added, pointing at lync FE server
    - The user, used for loggin in is member of CSAdministrator
    - I am able to ping between the Lync FE and and AD
    - IIS https setup, ip:all unassigned port 443,is set to use the lync FE certificate
if any further information is needed please tell me

    Hi,
Did you change the simple URL to access Lync server Control Panel? If yes, please make sure you also change for DNS record and certificate. You can run the Enable-CsComputer on each Front End server to register the change.
Please also make sure W3SVC work normally.

  • Problems: iCloud Control Panel 2.1.1 not allowing sync of contacts, calendar, remainders and notes

I just installed Outlook 2013 today. Initally it was showing contacts calendars from my iCloud. Then i got a message that I could not have two outlooks on the computer and I needed to remove one of them. I did take off outlook 2007. Now the control panel does not give me an option to sync with outlook at all. It just tells me that mail contacts calendars reminders and notes are avilable at icloud.com.
I hope to be able to get control panel and outlook to talk nicely again soon.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a similar issue. I installed Office 2013 yesterday. iCloud 2.1.1.3 I thought was working - I could see the Add-On in Outlook and my contacts were showing correctly under people but it showed in the iCloud control panel that my email for icloud was not connected. I tried removing my iCloud account from Outlook with the intent to reconnect it via the iCloud Control Panel. Bad idea apparently--anytime I try loading the iCloud Control Panel it crashes office. I have reintalled the control panel, tried the office repair, tried enabling / disabling the add-ons, tired a seperate test Outlook profile--nothing works- I am no longer able to integrate the icloud features into Outlook.
    I am using Win 7 x64 SP1 with Office 2013 x32. iCloud Control Panel 2.1.1.3
Update: I tried rolling back to a restore point from yesterday to at least get my contacts functioning again. No Luck- the accounts are there again but they are not connected and can't be opened. iCloud Control Panel still crashes Office/Outlook as seen above anytime I try to open it
