  • Newest update won't allow startup page to be blank, it loads to the last page Firefox was on, so how do I fix this?

    Since the most recent update, every time I open Firefox, it loads to the last page I was on. I prefer a blank page to be loaded. I have this correctly marked in the options, and I've even uninstalled and reinstalled the program. Is there a fix for this?

  • How to make Firefox 8.0.1 load only the home page when starting?

    After upgrading to 8.0.1, I see two tabs being loaded when starting - my home page and this http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/central/. I dont find a setting to not load mozilla page.
    This happens only when the first instance of firefox is started. If I start another firefox, it loads only the home page tab.

  • The latest version of Firefox loads with the Ask page and doesn't retain the selected home page. How do I change this?

    I downloaded the latest Firefox version. Upon loading it it doesn't retain the previous Home Page setting and always reverts to the Ask page, which is always indicated as the Home Page. This is annoying. How do I overcome this problem?

  • How do I stop automatic loading of the next page as I scroll to the bottom of an internet page that has a number of pages?

    When I search with Google, as I scroll to near the bottom of the page, the next page of results automatically loads. I can never get to and use the similar searches, or "Searches related to ***", which are at the bottom of the page, as the next page loads and focuses at the top of that next page. Also, there is a bar with the page number, and a field with a "Jump to" command with a pop down arrow with page numbers, and up and down arrows beside it which go up or down one page if used.
    This does not happen with, say, Bing, nor if I use Int Expl (aagh).
    I have no autopage type of add-ons, or plugins.. I may have had an add-on at one time. There are a bunch of autopager "strings", or lines, in about:config. How do you remove them, if that is the problem?
    How do I stop this from happening? It is extremely annoying.
    Thanks,
    SK

    hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

  • How can I turn off inherent features of Firefox? (Specifically, it automatically loads and displays the next page, but it will load OVER the current page)

    With this version of Firefox, it automatically loads the 'next' page. When I'm reading blogs, when I click to go back, it automatically loads the first page of the blog as the 'next' page I want to go to. However, it will load this page OVER the page I am on, so that I cannot see it. With some blogs, it is so extreme, I cannot use Firefox on them at all. This isn't an add-on or anything, and I cannot find it in the preferences panel. Can I turn it off somehow/is there a way to in Firefox 4?

    That is not standard behavior. You may have installed an extension that causes it.
    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • How to load only the jsp page even after applying template

    Hi,
    I have a webpage template with header,footer, Dynamic Menu etc. Now I assigned this .jtpl template to all my existing fases jsp files.
    The problem is when I submit a form in jsp, the entire page including template gets loaded again by which we can notice significant time for loading menus and other things.
    Is there any way to avoid this entire template loading and make only the jsp page to load? Please help
    May be this can be achieved by frames. But I dont have idea on how I can merge template with frames. If someone can provide that even would help me better.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
    I found the solution .
    <html>
    <head>
    <script language="JavaScript">
    function checkRefresh()
    if( document.refreshForm.visited.value == "" )
    alert('first ime');
      // This is a fresh page load
      document.refreshForm.visited.value = "1";
      // You may want to add code here special for
      // fresh page loads
    else
    </script>
    </head>
    <body onLoad="JavaScript:checkRefresh();">
    <form name="refreshForm">
    <input type="hidden" name="visited" value="" />
    </form>
    </body>
    </html>

  • Problems with loading Facebook log in page.

    Hello. I have problems with loading the Facebook log in page. It's been a day. Every time I try to go to the website, it reads,
    "The connection was reset
    The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
    The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.
    If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.
    If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
    that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."
    I did every possible step to overcome the problem but in vain. Please suggest something that could work.....:(

    I suppose is not a CSS matter but in the SWF player becouse since some time ago it worked good in Firefox too and i didnt modify anything in the code!
    Best regards,

  • Okay so I just got a new MacBook and I'm setting it up. I decided to not download all of my files to iCloud drive and its taking forever to load to the next page. Is this normal for it to take so long? After all I didn't even download my stuff?

    why is it taking forever to load!?

    The files you are loading into the new computer are by wi-fi? If you have no other option
    that may be OK but slow. A faster method would be Ethernet cable from internet router
    or modem, instead of wireless. Most of the setup process can take some time.
    What are these files? Where are they now?
    Do you have a backup on-site, & not online?
    Did you check to see if the operating system was updated as part of the setup before use?
    The Software Update can locate later parts to the as-shipped system, that may be needed.
    Other upgrades or new apps are through the Mac App Store, some through App Store, etc.
    As part of the setup, you could use a migration assistant if you have a backup from the old
    computer or have other files saved in an external hard drive to import.
    Hopefully your process won't be drawn out too long...
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • I have igoogle for a home page but the personalized page does not load, only the generic page loads; why?

  • Download went fine, no problems, but what is the first page?

    My download of 3.0 went just fine, but I don't know what the first page is. Can anyone tell me what it is? It looks like you can type there, but I don't know what it is.

    This is where you can search your iPhone.
    Contacts, apps, songs etc!
    Give it a go!

  • Tabs won't load. The web page loads then instantly starts to re load and continues like this.

    When Firefox opens it loads a blank tab. As soon as I click on any web site it loads for a milli-second then the pages on a reload cycle and doesn't stop so the page never loads at all. I doesn't matter if you reinstall Firefox, reboot the computer disable java or anything.

    hello Stepgar, it sounds like a theme or extension might be interfering here. please try launching firefox in safe mode once and see if the issue is occurring there too.

    when I go to firefox page to download firefox the green box is not there and will not load so I am not able to download firefox on my desktop. i have tried everything to have it load. I am trying to get rid of ie!!!

    Hello,
    '''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
    ''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)''
    * You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
    ''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
    '''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article for that.
    ''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.''
    ''When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.''
    Thank you.

  • Some webpage cannot be loaded, but the same page can be loaded using other browser like safari, IE

    I am browsing some local website about properties. When I browse pages with pictures, it cannot be loaded. It was stated in the bottom left corner of the browser that data was being transferred, but it was not true. This problem occurs when I updated the browser version to 4.0. I am fine with the old Firefox version. Thanks.
