Problem in logging in to newly created client in IDES mySAPERP ECC 6.0

Hi,
I have installed IDES mySAP ERP 2005 ECC6.0 and using client 800.I want to make a copy of the client 800.I created a new client 910 using SCC4.When I try to login to 910 using SAP* and password PASS (I tried both upper case and lower case) it does not allow. I also tried user SAP* with master password, 06071992, 19920706 and also the userid: idadmin and password: ides123 .But nothing worked. So I cannot proceed further in copying the client from 800 thro' SCCL. Can any one pls let me know what is the login ID and password that I need to use to get into the newly craeted client 910?
Thanks in advance,
V. Revathy

HI dear,
before logging into newly created cllient 910 you have to change the activate the kernal user SAP*
a) Set the profile parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar to 0.
b) Restart the application server.
c) Log on to the new client with kernel user SAP* and password PASS.
now do client copy. after finishing client copy again deactivate the kernel user SAP*
a) Reset login/no_automatic_user_sapstar to 1.
b) Restart the application server.

    Dear Abhishek,
    Before you proceed to Create Jobs & Positions first you check whether the Personnel Actions (PA40) is configured or not. Then after uploading the employeee master data you can proceed to other process.
    if PA40 is not configured then Configure in SPRO using PA/PM/Customizing procudures/ Infotype Menus etc. You can also maintain user profile using Tcode. SU3.
    All the best.

  • Can I use Solution Builder on newly created Client?

    Dear Experts,
    I have an existing SAP system and I created new client via SCC4 without doing any client copy (means it's blank).
    Can I logon to the newly created client via SAP* (since there's no other user id) and run Solution Builder to activate those SAP best practices Building Block? Will that affect other existing client (what I mean, will there be a cross-client customizing?

    Yes, You can login to newly created client via SAP*. However, running or activation on empty client is not advisable.
    Please copy the Newly created client from 000 or 001 and start the activation.

  • Problem in Tax Exexpiton for Newly created Wage type

    Dear Gurus,
    I Have tried to create a  New Wage type for Allowance with Exemption IT582 created Amount. In pay roll results the IT582 Exemption amount is coming. In Wage type /132 Monthly Exemptions it says the Entire Amount which it created for the Particular wage type.
    Example:
    Newly created wage type 1010 : 10,000
    Exemption Created : 6000
    Payroll Results:
    /132 : showing 10,000+800 Conveyance
    MCAX : 6000 - Custom Allowance
    MCMX :6000 - Custom Allowance.
    By the above result the Gross value reduced to -10,000.
    Please suggest me to complete this process.
    Thanks in Advanc.
    Anbu.

    Hi Anbu,
    I am lil bit confused abt the explanation u had given. anyway i will explain the configuration n step u need to perform-
    configure a wage type in V_T7INA9 and V_T7INT9 view first.
    maintain the amount, which employee has submitted as claim.
    then pass the value in infotype 8 or 14 or 15 through the same wage type u have configure.
    now minimum of 3(entry in V-T7INT9, infotype 8 or 15 or 14 and entry maintained in infotype 582) will b the exemption amount.

  • Can't log in with newly created user on new install of Arch [solved]

    Hi all,
    Yesterday I installed Arch anew (because I had a hardware failure that took out my hard drive), but now I'm encountering an issue with logging in.
    After following the installation guide, and creating a new user, I find that I'm unable to log in as said user.
    It complains about wrong password, but it's the exact same password that I entered mere moments before that, when creating the new user.
    I can "log in" as said user by first logging in as root (which does work) and doing "su - <username>" (though then it doesn't ask for a password).
    Can someone point me in the right direction to fix this problem?

    I think cfr meant to say you shouldn't "fix" bash path - as some users did. Unfortunately there's a bit confusion wrt which paths should be used - see this ML thread.
    Some say we should keep /bin/foo for compatibility, others say that we should boldly move to /usr/bin/foo.

  • I can't log into a newly created Aim name for Ichat

    It says you cant change account settings while youre logged in in the accounts tab area, but I am offline still and the log in box repeatedly pops up. It says my username or password is incorrect.  But i just created it and know it is correct. iMessage logs in fine as well.  I have search for hours, and tried many different solutions with no luck.  very frustrated.  thanks for any help

    Make sure that you haven't saved Uppercase and Lowercase versions of that name and password.
    Remove saved Password(s): Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"

    Hi,
    You can reset the user SAP* by deleting him from USR02 directly at DB level with:
    DELETE FROM USR02 WHERE MANDT='<client>' AND BNAME='SAP*' ;
    Check afterwards whether the SAP* emergency user is active (SAP Note 68048)
    You should be able to log on to the system again with the SAP* user and the initial password 'PASS'.

  • How to get the Newly Created Material

    Hi all,
    Iam creating Materials using BDC sessions method,My Problem is to update the Newly Created Material in a Ztable.
    so iam getting the Newly created Matnr by the following peice of code
        SELECT  matnr FROM mara INTO  TABLE v_matnr
                               WHERE ersda = sy-datum
                               ORDER BY matnr DESCENDING.
    But the thing is,we are getting Previously created material.i.e the new material will be  created only after the sessions are processed,but when i write the above code in the program we are getting previous material.
    so how to update the newly created material.
    I think we can't do  that through program because we can get new material only after processing the session..so what is the solution for this.should we use userexits for getting the newly created material.
    thanks in advance
    balaji

    Hello,
    Use the <b>BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA</b> to create the materials.
    The BAPI will return the Material number which is created at that instance by which u can update the ZTABLE.

  • Log file is not created using LOG4J

    Hi all,
    I want to use Log4j to log the details about my portal application. I would prefer using Log4j instead of SAP Logging. I have created properties file in my portal application which extends Abstract Portal Component. This my Log4j.properties file which i created under dist\PORTAL-INF\classses folder. I could read the Properties file. There is no problem on that. I am able to refer the API s available in Log4j. I am using Log4j-1[1].2.14.jar.
    log4j.rootLogger = INFO, R1
    log4j.appender.R1 = org.apache.log4j.RollingFileAppender
    log4j.appender.R1.File = LoggerForMyApplicationC.log
    log4j.appender.R1.MaxFileSize=100KB
    log4j.appender.R1.MaxBackupIndex=1
    log4j.appender.R1.layout=org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout
    log4j.appender.R1.layout.ConversionPattern=[%-5p] [%d] [%c] - [%m]%n
    But the problem is Log file is not created (LoggerForMyApplicationC.log) under \logs foler in SAP J2EE Server.
    Do i miss any other configuration? Please bring me the solution.
    Thanks,
    Malar

    Malar,
    Check for the file in the server folder of your server installed directory.
    ie..<Drive where server installed>:\usr\sap\<name>\<instance>\j2ee\<server node>

  • Newly-created Files & Folders Permission Problem

    Hello. I have a Snow Leopard Server 10.6.8 with Snow Leopard and Lion clients.
    When all Macs were running Snow Leopard, any client could create new folders and files on the Snow Leopard Server, and all other Mac clients can access and modify them (Read and Write permission).
    I updated a few clients to Lion, and now when a Lion client created a new file or folder on the Snow Leopard Server, only that client has Read & Write permission. All other client now cannot modify the newly-created file/folder.
    My temporary fix is to change the folder or file permission on the server so everyone can have access.
    Does anyone know how to fix this? Is this the Lion client problem or the Snow Leopard Server problem?
    Thanks.
    Alex.

  • Problem in creating client side PDF with image using flex and AlivePD

    I need a favor I am creating client side PDF with image using flex and AlivePDF for a web based application. Images have been generated on that pdf but it is creating problem for large size images as half of the image disappeared from that pdf.I am taking the image inside a canvas . How do i control my images so that they come fit on that pdf file for any image size that i take.
    Thanks in advance
    Atishay

    I am having a similar and more serious problem. It takes a
    long time to execute, but even attaching a small image balloons the
    pdf to 6MB plus. After a few images it gets up to 20MB. These are
    100k jpeg files being attached. The resulting PDF is too large to
    email or process effectively. Does anyone know how to reduce
    size/processing?

  • Logging in to a newly created account hangs

    Hi. I have a MacAir running Leopard (fully up to date) and all works fine when I log in as the only user account that has ever been created so far. I used Migration assistant to migrate a user from another machine on to this one, and that worked fine, with the new user being created and contents being copied across successfully. On trying to log in to that account, the login screen just hangs before loading desktop items. The dock appears and then just the timer wheel. To test, I created a new admin account and tried to log in to that, and the same happens. If I log in as the original user its all ok. Any idea's?

    Thanks. Done that, and the problem is just the same. Created a new account after having done the repair permissions, and that doesnt work either. Original account works fine. Any thoughts??
