Problem in login to servlet or application with IIS

i Have 2 servers IPS server and NT server, and when i want to connect application web (ActiveX) access in port 8080, who invite us to authentifies the user and Password, and that located in NT server via IIS, tal , then nothing is do , the generic page of the portal is display, but when i call it then second time, this application starts well .

Try to enable Basic auth in IIS also so as to portal servers Basic authentication to work properly.

Problem when deploying on tomcat two applications with same appmodule name

We have deployed two different adf-uix applications to a tomcat application server.
Each of the two applications has one application module, the two application modules have the same name. This seems to cause a conflict between the two applications.
After starting the application server, we can run first the application 'A' and then the application 'B' or viceversa, every time the first application works and the second doesn't. When running the second application we get messages like 'table or view doesn't exist'.
Having the application modules with different names seems to solve the problem, but it seems not so easy to change the application module name on an existing and rather complex application.
Any suggestion? Please help.

I had the same problem and the only way to solve it was to change the app module name.

Unable to run Flex application with IIS

Hi,
I'm new to flex 3 application. I created a simple application
using wizard from Flex IDE, but this application run well under
ASP.net server but failed under IIS.
Below is how i created the application
1. I created a flex project running on APS.net default server
(cassini).
2. I created an application from database by clicking on Data
-> Create application from database
This application is running fine. However, if i followed the
same step, but used IIS instead of ASP.net default server, the
application failed.
Below are error codes:
faultcode: server.error.request.
faultstring: HTTP request error
faultdetail: Unable to load WSDL. if currently online, please
verify the URI and or format of the WSDL

How to make "add to bookmarks - button" to login page of the application with the application alias?
The idea is to ensure that end-users are storing the application alias to bookmarks rather than the direct link to application id which might change.

Jari, here are some of my trials hosted now in apex.oracle.com. All url's to be bookmarked are "hardcoded" in to the login page html-header's javascript function.
Sample db application - url with workspace name.

But as said I am bit stuck ..

Chap 4 of that book contains screen shots and all kinds of information that will help guide you through the installation. We also have a doc on the different mobile clients. Login Problems in an Application with a lot of Pages

Hi,
I have a problem with the authentication.
I have an application with a lot of Pages and I want to have one Login for the whole Application.
So I created an authentication scheme and set the logging for the application to 'yes'.
So far all works well, but when I use the application and branch throu the different pages I must Login everytime when I want to open a new page.
I know that I can set the authentication(in page definition) for every page to 'Page is Public' but that isn't what I want, because then you can access the single pages without a Login!
So I need an authentication for the first time where I access the application and then no more authentication is needed.
Can anybody help me, please?

My mistake was that I didn't pass the Session in the links to the different pages!

Login Error from Users machine into BO Desktop Applications With LDAP user

Hi All,
I am getting a strange error and got stucked.I have searched in the forums and tried every possible thing but the problem remains same.
I am not able to login into any Client application using LDAP account.
The setup is:
Machine 1: Webserver
Machine 2: CMS and other servers
Machine 3: Clustered CMS server
LDAP is implemented and SSL is enabled between Machine 2 and LDAP server.
Now when i am into Machine2 and try to login into Client application using LDAP it works for me also for Web Application(CMC, Infoview)
When i am into user machine I am able to login into Client Application (Designer, Desktop Intelligence etc) using enterprise account, but not with LDAP account. However i am able to login to web Application using LDAP account from users machine.
All the ports are open and can connect to CMS machine and database repository connectivity is also OK.
One interesting thing i would like to share that if i am login into Infoview using LDAP account and If i go for editing a report it opens Desktop Intelligence for me (LDAP user) and there is a entry in System name when i login into Deski.That entry in system name is CMS Machine name,Port number, full domain, (J2EE Portal) written in last.
Using this entry in System I can Login using LDAP account but first should do the process (Login to Infoview, Edit The Report) for every user machine.
Please help me out where i am getting wrong.
The error with Client application and LDAP user is USR0013. Can not Access the repository.

My guess would be that client apps don't have access to the SSL directory defined in the LDAP config but the web/app does. When you edit a report it launches deski in 3-tier mode still using the web/app so this isn't surprising behavior. There are SAP notes on this in SMP key words LDAP SSL deski should return the result. The link to SMP is in the forum sticky at the top of the administration forum.

Problem in Integrating Existing Application with Portal

I have my existing application. When i tried to integrate it with portal by URLScrapper Channel, my existing applications are logging me out.
My existing applications have different user / password for logging into it. Once i try login, i am not able to log into it. I hope there is some problem in session. Can anybody tell me how can rectify it.

How to start a application with a login window?

You can start a new thread by making a thread object and passing it an implementation of a runnable object. Runnable has just one method, public void run(), this is was gets executed in a second thread. perhaps the code you would use would look something like this.

APEX 3.2 Associating application with SSO login page.

My requirement is to replace my login page of APEX3.2 application with an SSO login page. Also, the application uses some tables with some history columns like: "Last Updated by", "Created by", "Last Update Time", etc... While create/edit of any table, I want these columns to be automatically populated according to the credentials used in SSO login page to that application. Please help.
The link given on this forum (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/howtos/sso_partner_app.html) for the purpose seems to be obsolete i.e. for previous versions of APEX.

That how-to explains all the steps you need to set up SSO with Application Express.
As far as the audit columns, just create triggers on your tables. Referenced v('APP_USER') to get the authenticated username.

I've got a rather new installation of Vista Business x64 on my developer rig, and last week I installed the new JDeveloper 11g version. The installation was all-inclusive, no customization on my end.
In addition I've got a test installation of an Oracle DB 11gR1 on an available server here.

I'm not that familiar with these things but it seems to me that there is an issue with port numbers here. The application seems to expect a app.server service at port 7101, but does'nt find one.
Any suggestions on how to fix this problem would be appreciated?

It fails in a similar way.
What I did was; create a simle 'Hello World' html file, saving it with the jsp extension. In Jdev11g i made a new application and an emtpy project, then loaded the jsp file and made it the default run-target. This compiles nicely.
When running the project it first attempts to start the WebLogicServer (WLS). After a few minutes it is started as seen in the "Running: DefaultServer" pane:

The WLS is still running though as I can still access its adm console.
To me it seems that it is attempting to start a separate instance of the WLS for each run attempt, but then I could be wrong.....:(
Later I'll try to change the default WLS port from 7001 to 7101 as suggested in another port here.
I must admit that I'm a bit surprised that the JDev11g doesn't work fine at this very simple level when performing a default install.

Problems building a stand alone application with LV 8.6.1.

I'm having problems building a stand alone application with LV8.6.1. I'm using a USB- 6008 DAQ and USB-6501 Digital device in the application. I already have an simple executable on the machine so the Run time Engine is already installed. For the USB DAQ device, I assume I need to include the DAQmx8.8 as one of the installers. When I attempt to build the application, I'm prompted for several disk, one being a distribuition disk 1. I have the installation disk for the developer package. I did not see a distribuiton disk as one of the installation disks. When I insert disk 1 I get an error that another application is trying to run. Could someone tell me which installers I need to include and where do I find the "distributor" disk.

are you building installer for the first time on this PC?...It usually asks for the drivers CDs and some toolkits if required.
you just need to use drivers CDs (comes with LabVIEW) from which you installed on this PC. If you have ever upgraded drivers, then you have to use the latest CDs only.......
another issue may be ...when u insert the driver disk, it has autorun, it will launch drivers installation wizard....close that and then try to build distribution.........

Some of the following is going to use some technical terms — this area is inherently somewhat technical.
If you don't understand some part of the following reply, please ask.
Is this your own OS X Server system on your own network, or is this some other server within some larger organization?
You're posting this in the OS X Server forum, which is a software package that allows OS X systems to provide web-based and many other services; to become servers.
If it's your OS X Server on your network, then the network and DNS configurations are suspect, or the server is somehow malfunctioning or misconfigured. This is unfortunately fairly common, as some folks do try to avoid setting up DNS services.
If it's a larger organization and somebody else is managing the server and the network, then you'll probably need to contact the IT folks for assistance; to learn the network setup and DNS requirements, and if there's a problem with the server itself.
The basic web URL "hyper link IP address path" — without using DNS — usually looks something the following, where you'll need to replace 10.20.30.40 with the IP address of your server:

UptimeJeff has posted a URL that specifies the AFP file system; an OS X file share. That's used if you're connecting to an Apple storage service somewhere on your network. You might alternatively need to specify smb://10.20.30.40 or such, if it's a Windows file server. (There can be additional requirements for connecting to Windows Server systems, too.)
If there's local IT staff available here, please contact them for assistance. If these are your own local systems and your own local OS X Server system, then some information on the server will be needed. (If you're on a NAT'd network, you'll also need to get DNS services configured and working on your local OS X Server system and your network — you'll not be able to skip this step and reference ISP DNS servers here — or things can and usually will get weird.)
