Problem in Lotus Domino and Portal Integration

Hi,
We are trying to integrate Lotus Domino 6.5 with EP6 SP11. We have installed the LDS-D component as per the help.sap.com. On the Portal side, we configured the lotus transport and calendar repository manager. In Collaboration>Groupware Transport>lotus Transport, we have specified the following:
System alias ,
Server,
port,
virtual directory(only the folder 'Servlet' and not its entire path is specified)
protocol.
When we click on Collaboration and try to check the availability of another member, it gives the following error
'The virtual path specified is incorrect'
Kindly suggest what has been wrong from our side.
Regards,
Prathamesh Dalvi

hi,
As far as i think u have to specify the Virtual directory on the Domino HTTP server on which the LDS-D components are installed. U have to specify the path.

  • 9iAS installation problems w/ db cache and Portal

I am still trying for a succesful installation of the 9ias software. I have followed all of the suggestions that have been posted and I am now getting TNS cannot resolve service name during the database cache part of the install. I checked services and it seems that this install didn't set up a TNSListener service for the 9iSuites home? I set the oracle_sid = icache as it instructs in the appendix, set the o7_dictionary_accessibility = true, and renamed the spfile to a .txt file so Oracle wouldn't find it. Subsequent to the database cache errors, the Portal install can't find the database either. I'm frustrated because I had the server up and running succesfully with an 8.1.7 db and I'm trying to switch to 9iDB. Any help would be greatly appreciated! My boss is getting a little impatient.
    Thanks.

    Mark,
I was succesful on my 4th try. This is what I did differently and I'm not sure what triggered success.(a preface: database cache was not succesful but portal was). After install of db I followed these suggestions before install of 9ias(plus others offered by Tao Fan in a previous post:
    in the init.ora file:
    set o7_dictionary_accessibility=true(this is an o, not 0)
    comment out the 'dispatchers' line.
rename the spfile in the <oracleHome>\database directory(i changed mine to xspfile.txt). Make sure you restart the db after any changes to the init.ora file. Set all oracle services to manual and disable the http server. Stop all services.
Start your install. Mine hung at 100% complete with a command window open. Before I closed the command window I started the database service but not the listener. The install proceeded to fail during the db cache and portal install. I exited out of the install, started the dbTNSlistener, and any iSuitesagent services(not sure if this helped but I'm happy now!)Then, I restarted the machine. Then start/programs/iSuites/portalConfigAssistant and it worked.
If none of this makes sense I can email you the documentation I kept while installing.

  • Problems with Lotus Notes and AcroPro9.1 collaboration - tracker, email, etc

    Hello all -
I have been trying to resolve this for a few days, and it's gotten worse, not better. I've searched forums and blogs - no luck so far.
I am in a corporate Lotus Notes environment, Win XP sp2, AcrobatPro 9.1, reader or pro 9.1 deployed at users in question. With Lotus Notes 8.x open and running, cannot get the collaboration features to work. I get "Lotus notes is not responding. Please make sure it is not offline and try again" when Notes is up and running. Other issues are the good old duplicate email addresses in the to: area, email address and a lot of other text that should actually be in the body of the email appearing in the to: area, etc.
I am trying to push for more automation using Acrobat in my environments, and this is rapidly becoming a serious show-stopper.
    Adobe Team, ideas please?
    Thx.

Over a year later... Did you ever resolve this issue? I'm having the same problem since our upgrade to
    Acrobat 9.
Please let me know if you have a solution!

  • CRM 5.2 and portal integration

    Hi
Has anyone had any experience with integrating CRM 5.2(2006s/2) with Enterprise portal? I know CRM 2007 supports this but not sure how will business roles in 5.2 be uploaded to the portal roles if this is at all supported in 5.2..
    Thanks,
    Sudipta.

    Ravi,
CRM 2007 has a "portal-like" menu that can be used for accessing the CRM application.  You can use CRM 2007 in "standalone" mode without an enterprise portal or use the enterprise portal with the CRM system.  If you want to use the ESS/MSS business pacakges then you must use a traditional EP system.  The CRM application menu is not a true portal application.
This means for you that you need an enterprise portal which will contain your ESS/MSS package and will link into the CRM 2007 start page.
    Take care,
    Stephen

  • Webdynpro for ABAP and Portal Integration

    Hi Experts,
we created a WebDynpro  for ABAP application for portal. The application will modify/update few fields in backend sap HR table PA0006 (infotype 6) . The end user (portal user) should be able to update his data in backend with the iview created on this application.
I have below two questions in my mind.
    1. Do we need portal eventing for this? It's a single iview in portal which will fetch and update his data through this WebDynpro  for ABAP application.
    2. It is for 10 countries of almost 1000 users (with same userid in portal and backend). How can I make sure that the enduser updates and fetch his records only. The SSO is already set up between Portal and Sap ECC system. Do I need to again pass the enduser portal id to the sap in coding to fetch and update the data or sso will take care of itself.
    Thanks
    Ajay

    1. Do we need portal eventing for this? It's a single iview in portal which will fetch and update his data through this WebDynpro for ABAP application.
Answer: If you use, for exemple ITS to access this Webdympro, you will not need any action on portal for sure. Actually you will just need actions on portal, if you want to make some customization on portal side. If you want just show the Webdympro how it is, your action are all on backend..
If you access via ITS, te custome will acess the backend with the user you have set on the SSO or user-mapping. The portal there is nothing to do in this regards, you must just take care of this on backend.
Please evaluating the answer you are contributing for the SDN keep growing.

  • Problem whith redirect = "true" and portal

    Hi!
I was trying to use a @jpf:forward with redirect="true" in a pageflow of my portal,
nevertheless, when it makes redirect, it opens outside the Portal, in a new page, I I need that I make everything within he himself Portal. How I can do this? thanks.
    [email protected]

I think the redirect attribute only works when used in non portal pageflows. you will have to generate the (portal friendly) URL's yourself and redirect using the response object.
I believe you can use the url templates defined in url-template-config and a BEA class called GenericURL i think but ive never tried it

  • Portal integration with ISA

I would like to know the standard way ISA is integrated into Portal in a B2C scenario where a customer self registers himself on the Portal and then SSOs to ISA. Will the Portal User ID <b>have to</b> be something cryptic like the SU01 User ID ISA creates on the backend CRM server or is there anyway we can use the friendly alias? The biggest problem we are facing is figuring out how to authenticate SAP Portal using the Alias field of SU01 ISA user instead of the SU01 User ID and still be able to perform SSO to ISA.
Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.
I would really love to hear from people who have worked on integrating SAP Portal with ISA (Internet Sales).
    Thanks,
    Krishna

    Hello All
I was just tasked with ISA and Portal integration and I do not know where to start.  We are not running any SSO yet.
I would like to configure if possible without this.  Any directions would help.
    Thanks

  • Portal Integration with XI

    Hi Guru's,
Could any one tell me two scenarios where we integrate Portals with the XI system.
If Portal is the receiver/sender then what could be the possible sender/receivers respectively.
Please, also let me know what scenarios (IDOC to HTTP etc) is used for ECC and Portal integration with XI.
What are the Adaptors used for Portals.
Thanks in advance.  I will assign points.

    Hi,
Take a look at this blog,
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/1334 [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
You can make a webservice ( SOAP ) call from the portals to XI, or a HTTP call for the same.
For integrating XI and ECC , as usual IDOC's , RFC or Proxies can be used. This blog discusses the same,

  • How to check Portal integrated in Landscape

What transacton code can I use to check a portal is running in the landscape that I am working with and whether BI (7.0) is already integratedin that portal?

BI Portal Integration can be checked by launching a query using Bex tools and executing it or publishing it to portal.
You can use transaction RSRT (Query Monitor) and use Java Web to test it as well.
Using transaction SM30 check table RSPOR_T_PORTAL and see what portal URL is used by your BI system. If your BI and Portal Integration is complete then URL prefix will have this information.

    Hi,
The reason why you are seeing this exception is because there is a mismatch between the version of the WLPM API used by the portlets, with the version of the service that you have installed on you Domino server.
To explain a little, there are two sides to the API that is used to communicate with Lotus Domino:
    1) the Java API side (used by the portlets that you have installed in the portal)
    2) the Domino Service side (installed as a DSAPI filter in the HTTP task of a Domino Server)
Each Java API jar and Domino Service Executable are branded with a version number, which in your case does not match because the portlets came with one version of the Java API, and you have installed a non-matching version of the service on the Domino Service side (you probably extracted the executable for the service installation from the "BEA Personal Messaging API 4.3" bundle or installer).
The solution for this is to:
    1) uninstall the Domino Service that you have plugged into the domino service
    2) extract the Domino Service installer which was included with the portlet bundle. This is located in the "Program Files\compoze\groupware_portlets_bea-2.5\8.1\service\domino" directory if you ran the portlet installer, or in the "groupware_portlets_bea81-noinstall-25\groupware_portlets_bea-2.5\8.1\service\domino" directory if you used the "no-install" zip file.
As a tip, to quickly check whether the versions of the service and Java API’s that you are using are matching, perform the following steps:
    1) hit the domino server with the following URL and notice the "service version": http://domino_service_url:http_port/compoze.czdo. This should be something like "Service Version: 3.6.102"
2)in your portal application (or in the portlet install bundle), open the harmony_portlets.jar file with winzip, then find the "compoze_products_information.properties" file. In this file, notice the "product.domino" version (e.g. product.domino = 3.6.102)
    3) the two versions you have inspected must match in order for the connection between the portlet and service to succeed.
If you have verified that the "service" version and "java API" version (located in %portal_app_dir%/APP-INF/lib/harmony_portlets.jar, and you are still getting the exception, it is likely that there is a "harmony_portlets.jar" that included an old version of the Java API located somewhere in the portal server classpath. In this case, make sure that the only harmony_portlets.jar in the classpath is the one that was included with the portlet bundle that you have installed.

    1) I got nearly 30 to 40 help documents (PDF & WORD) which users may refer when accssing CRM & BW system in portal.
Currently they are stored in the Local Drive....i am trying to find a way to upload them portal...so the users can always have the docs the require
    and
    2) Can any one please update me in detail ...on how to integrate Lotus Notes into portal and configure Single Sign on  currently my Portal and Lotus Notes user id's are different
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Geethika,
    1. IF documents are on your local computer, Netweaver Portal has a KMC Addon (Knowledge Management and Collaboration). Within KM it is possible to run a Document Management Scenario. You can Create Folders within KM, give Access Rights to Users, Create an Iview to browse KM Folder then add that Iview to a Page or Role so users can access it.
For this, please chech the online documentation via http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/20/b46d42ea0b3654e10000000a155106/content.htm
    2. For Lotus Notes Integration, your Lotus Notes Server must be running on Windows Platform.
For the rest configuration please check the following:
Single Sign-On from SAP Enterprise Portal to Lotus Domino

I've the latest version of SAP Ticket Verifier, if you couldn't find it, I can send it to you.

  • Installing and Configuring Lotus Domino Connectivity

    Hi
I am struggeling a littel bit regarding the integration to Lotus Domino
First of all - I have managed the "Installing and Configuring E-Mail Connectivity"
    1. Created a system
    2. Created a E-Mail Transport
    3. Checked the E-Mailing Service
Also Integrating Lotus Domino Using iNotes
    1. Creating an iView for iNotes
    2. Accessing iNotes Data in the Portal
    3. Ticket Verifier for Lotus Domino
    4. Implementing the Ticket Verifier
And from there I would like to integrate the "Installing and Configuring Lotus Domino Connectivity"
    1. Installing the LDS-D Component
    2. Creating a Lotus Transport
    3. Configuring the Calendar Repository Manager
But then I receives an error when I am trying to use the calendar functionality in the portal - eg. the Every User Role ->Home -> Work -> Overview
<i>"The mail server credentials are incorrect or have not been specified"</i>
Where may I resolve this error?
    Regards
    Kay-Arne

    Hi Kay-Arne / Eik Sunke,
I am getting the same error "The mail server credentials are incorrect or have not been specified.". Does the LDS-D and iNotes configuration need to be performed before this error can be corrected?
    what I have done:
    Enabling mailing for collaboration.
    1. Activate Mailing Service by going to
System Administration --> System Configuration --> Knowledge Management --> Content Management --> Mailing Service.
Ensure Active check box is selected.
    2. Create System Alias by going to
System Administration --> System Configuration --> System Landscape
    Go to content area.
Portal Content --> Content Provided By SAP --> Collaboration and right click.
Select New from PAR --> System.
Choose the iview com.sap.netweaver.coll.app.gw  and hit next button. Select Java_Mail option and hit next button.  Enter appropriate System Name and ID and hit next button.  Hit finsh button and open object for editing.
Select System Aliases from display option and add an alias for the system. Save changes.
    3. Create Mail Transport by going to
System Administration --> System Configuration --> Knowledge Management --> Collaboration.
Click Groupware Transports in content area.
Select Mail Transport on next screen.
Click New button and create new mail transport definition.
Give SMTP server being used in organisation, Inbox for ‘Sent messages folder’, and give
system alias created in step 2 as alias.
    setting Calendar Repository.
Select Lotus_Server option and hit next button.  Enter appropriate System Name and ID and hit next button.  Hit finsh button and open object for editing.
Select System Aliases from display option and add an alias for the system. Save changes.
    2. Create Lotus Transport by going to
System Administration --> System Configuration --> Knowledge Management --> Collaboration.
Click Groupware Transports in content area.
Select Lotus Transport on next screen.
Click New button and create new Lotus transport definition.
Give alias name of system alias created for system on step 1. Give the the domain server
(for eg; sap.corp) as the the http server. Port is 1080, and virtual directory is ‘/servlet’.
    3. Create and activate calendary repository manager.
System Administration --> System Configuration --> Knowledge Management --> Content Management --> Repository Managers -->Calendar Repository.
Click New button and create new definition.
Select name and description of choice. Select Lotus Transport created on step 2 above as default transport and for transports. Select Active check box and save.
Am I missing anything or do Ihave to do anything differently?
    Please advise.
    Thanks and regards,
    Arun

We're trying to integrate Discoverer with Portal unsuccessfully.
We made many things in accordance with oracle's documentation until add discoverer portlets (worksheet and list of workbooks) in a test page.
In view mode, the worksheet portlet shows the error:
"The portlet has not been defined. The publisher must define the portlet by clicking on Edit Defaults for the portlet on the edit mode of this page. Please contact the publisher of this page."
We think we have to edit properties before. Is this? Anyway edit worksheet portlet crashes between step 1 and 2. The error is: "The listener returned the following Message: 500 Internal Server Error".
We have a public conection created in EM and a discoverer application which can be viewed using plus or viewer.
Furthermore, it's not possible delete the added portlets neither the page that contain it. The error at delete is:

    Any ideas?

    Hi there,
Have you applied any patches to 9ias since it was first installed? We had the same problem and had to apply a couple of patches to get the portlets working.
    1. Apply the 9.0.2.53.16 one-off patch for Oracle 9iAS Discoverer which takes Discoverer up to 9.0.2.53.16. This patch appears to be password protected and you need to get someone at Oracle support to give you a password.
    2. Apply the Discoverer Portlet Provider: 9.0.2.53.00c patch (patch no. 2595444) which gives you a new discportal.xsl file that actually works. It's this second step that solves your problem but you need to do step 1 before this. This is password protected as well.
    3. As you've upgraded Disco on the server to 9.0.2.53, you'll need to upgrade Disco Admin & Desktop within your 9iDS installation using patch no. 2555265. This is because Disco 9.0.2.53 uses an upgraded EUL that Disco Admin & Desktop need to be patched to use.
This was the course of action Oracle support advised us about nine months ago. Of course they may have released a further patch to Disco that does 1 & 2 in one go, but we regularly carry out steps 1 and 2 on servers we use and we can use the Disco portlets successfully.
    Hope this helps
