Problem in message sending of nokia 6080

my sim card is unable to allow message sending from most of the nokia 6080 mobile phones.but,my sim can send messages from all other mobile phones in the usual manner.i have sent my cell to one of the nokia care centres(job sheet number:319434038/070519/20
).what they are telling me is that the phone is working fine with their sim card.so i am in a dual situation----my cell doesnt respond to my sim,but my sim is working with other phones.in such a one to one sim-mobile intercompatibility problem,what am i supposed to do?my warranty is still on.can i get a new cell in return?please help.

Well u must have moved ur settings.. i would sugest a format or factory reset.. its only the problem that u must have changed ur messeage no or something..

Problem with message sending.

My Mail has stopped sending messages. They simply end up in my outbox. The systen has been working perfectly well and I have not knowingly altered any settings. My provider is yahoo and that works fine if I use it directly. Any advice?

Don't you have to pay extra to get Yahoo POP mail? That is how you would be connecting on your Mac and that access wasn't free last time I checked.
You may want to review the help documents over at Yahoo to be sure they do not charge for POP access. If they do then that is your problem and no adjustments on the Mac will let you in, as access will be blocked on Yahoo's server - for both incoming and outgoing mail.
You would still be able to get in using the Web interface but not through Mail.

Message sending fail in n95

i have n 95 simple one not 8gb,and i have problem in message sending.when ever i send msg to any one it gives resend time n at that time msg did not sent n after 3 tries it say msg sendind fail and on details its says memory full ,close some aplications. i reset my fone frm settings but it works only one time then problem occurs again n msgs r not sending at all.now plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz send me da solution for this.plz plz plz.i restart my fone several times but no use.i am from karachi pakistan and my fone is made in hungry..

one more thing i hav to tell you that i did not use internet on mobile.and when this problem comes i did not use net at all.this problem occurs suddenly . i was sending text messages as usual then then after some msgs it did not send any msg.then i reset my mobile from factory reseting n problem gone for few days n now it occurs again, should i update my nokia n95 by nokia software updater nsu ? plz help me out. n guide me from where i can change my settings u just told me.

i installed the older version of PC suitewhich i got with my CA-42 cable it connected my phone to pc but did not get me connected to the net so my father brought me a newer version from his friend after installing it instead of solving my modem problem it created a new problem that even my phone(Nokia 6080)doesn't get connected to my pc. Problem while sending message (sms) using nokia ov...

recently my nokia ovi suite is updated to version 3.1.1.85, Now when every i am typing to send message from nokia ovi suite's messaging section and if notification for new message is on,
while typing if new message comes, it refreshes the screen (inbox) section and the alreday typed message disappears.
I didnt have this problem in previous version of nokia ovi suite. and i can send / receive message at a same time.

Nokia 1200-Message sending failed

My Nokia 1200 is not sending texts. When I push 'send' the note: "Message sending failed" pops up immediately. Pls if anyone knows how to fix this problem I'll be eternally greatful!!! TY.

i'm encountering the same problem on my Nokia 1200 (Type: RH-99) bought in Austria in January 2008. It is a great phone - everything i expect from a mobile!
However, suddenly the phone shows me the message "Message sending failed" when i want to send a text message. I could not find any other problem.
Of course i did some research, i tried to use another SIM-Card from a different provider, exact same error. I tried to follow the advise from 'cjlim' to order the networksettings from (my local) Nokiapage.

→ it says it does not have software for my type
i also know this thread Re: Manual for 1200 says you have to set a message center number in order to be able to text.
fact is, there is no such option in N1200 and it worked befor with a new mobile without any settings to be made.

Nokia 6230i: Message sending failed!

Everytime I try to send a text message I get - Message sending failed, number not in use.

What network are u on? Have u had this problem before? I used to be on Orange, and I couldn't send SMS/MMS to certain O2 numbers if I hit "reply" but could if I wrote a new message. HTH, Chris.

Nokia 6080 & PC suite problem - access to sms's

Hi,
First of all, i must apologize cause my english is not so good :-)
I have Nokia 6080 and i connect it via Cable CA-42 with my PC.
Everything seems to work fine, with PC Suite, except having access to sms's.
In Files Manager f.i. when i try to see sms's, explorer freezes and doesn't responding...
If trying to make a backup of sms... the program freezes too...
The access to other mobile files, like Images, Sounds etc... is working fine.
It seems like beeing a problem of Nokia 6080 firmware...
Is there any possible solution?

I have an iPad 3, iPad Mini and iPhone 5S and they are all sluggish on capitalisation using shift keys. I hope that Apple will solve the problem because it is driving me crazy.
I find using a Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 phone, which I also have, work as well as all the ios devices before the ios 7 upgrade.
It has something to do with the length of time that you need to hold the shift key down. The shift key needs to be held longer than the letter key for the capitalisation to work. For some reason, this is a major change in the way we have learnt to touch type on computers. I am having to relearn how to type!

Nokia 6080 Theme Problem

Hey guys, ive got a nokia 6080 and am having a problem with the theme. When I first used the phone there was no theme selected by default and when browsing through the menu system there was subsequently no graphic or picture behind the menu. I obviously started playing with the phone and selected a theme from the 2 that were already on it. But now I dont want the theme anymore as ive set a different default wallpaper anyway. Here lies the problem. I cannot seem to find a way of unselecting a theme. I have to have one of the two that were on there. So now I have set my wallpaper, I still have other settings from the theme like the image behind the menu when im navigating through it. Is there a way to remove or unselect the theme in use? or am I now forced to use one of the themes that was on the phone at the time of purchase?

Sorry, but is it lawful for you here to show any link to a "blank" theme? i've deleted the Nokia theme by mistake and the only one i do have now - is City. And i don't like it very much. And i read somewhere here in other threads that nobody can share here with Nokia theme as it is copyrighted.

Issue 1: Message Sender Name/Field is not updated automatically after changes made in contacts.
e.g. Message send by Mr. A is displayed in inbox, however when same contact changed to Mrs. AB in contacts does not update sender name/field inside inbox. Sender name remains Mr. A physically on handset. However the changes made to contacts and Message Sender Name/Field is updated automatically on use of Nokia PC Suite 7.1.60.0 and Nokia Ovi Suite 3.0.0.290 but not on phone.

Nokia 100 - Message Sending Failed

Newbie mobile user, with Nokia 100 on Orange PAYG in the UK.
Trying to send my first text message, the display shows "Message Sending Failed". Not sure if it's just me still finding my way round and not getting something quite right, or if there's something wrong and I need to change some setting or other?
I've looked around and it seems maybe it might be something to do with a message centre number? I saw an Orange support page here for Nokia

with some instructions, but I'm not seeing what they give in bold so maybe the Nokia 100 has different menu/options/settings, and it isn't included in the list to the right of the help topic. I've also scanned Nokia help topics but again haven't seen anything specific to the Nokia 100 for this error message. There also doesn't seem to be a comprehensive manual for the 100, only a fairly basic user guide -- for other models there's a lot more detail about errors and troubleshooting.
Any help appreciated... and please keep it simple

Messaging > Message settings (or msg. settings) > Text messages > Message centres
is what I don't seem to see.
From the main Menu I have these choices:
Messages, Contacts, Call register, Settings, Clock, Radio, Reminders, Games, Extras, Orange Plus.
I've been two ways from there...
(1) Messages, where the options are:
Create Message, Inbox, Sent Items, Drafts, Chat, Picture messages, Distribution lists , Screened messages, Delete messages, Message counter, Message settings, Service com. editor.
The only possibility from these (and in line with what you suggested) seems to be Message settings, and the options there are:
Templates, Smileys, Signature, Sending profile, Font size, Delivery Reports, Reply via same centre, Character support, No. screening.
It doesn't seem clear where to go next from these choices... from what I've seen from looking around, and again from what you've said, there should be an option for Text Messages, but there doesn't seem to be
The only reference to a "centre" anywhere is in the option for "Reply via same centre", but I don't know what that means!
(2) Settings (from the main menu), and the options there are:
Tone settings, Display settings, Profiles, Time settings, Call settings, Phone settings, Cost settings, Security settings, Go to settings, Restore factory settings.
Again I haven't been sure where to go but have explored a few and haven't found anything yet about Message Centre or specifically about text messages.

Nokia 6080 irda and pc suite

Hi everybody,
i've got the nokia 6080 phone and usb irda adapter and i am trying connect the phone to my pc, so that i can sync my contacts, but when i lay the phone near the adapter i have the message from pc suite:
"PC Suite does not recognise the connected phone. The connection between the PC and the phone failed, error code 0x80043605. ..."
I have win XP sp2, and the latest version of pc suite(6.85)
What can i do to make all of this work?

The final solution was to play a bit with irda dongle drivers, actually there were a few modifications which windows claimed to be compatible, when I chose one of them problem has gone away. These options were placed in the driver's properties tab or so.
For now I completely switched to Linux, thus I doubt that I can help you further.
