Problem in MRP generated purchase requisition.

Hi Friends,
We have run MRP via MD02 transaction for one material.
MRP generated purchase requisition created.
In that MRP generated purchase requisition, under item level in the status tab we are getting below field values is like below.
Processing status : No edited
Block ID: Blocked by requester.
Due to above values we are not able to convert this MRP PR to PO.
Could you please let us know is there any master setting is cause of this?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Jegen Mohan

Hi Friends,
After debugging MRP programme, we came to know that there is BADI implemented to block the MRP PR's intially and then z programme called for adding secondary materials/services to that MRP PR's.
After addition of secondary materials/services to MRP PR's, Status will be unblock automatically then save the PR.
This is my client specific scenario.
Thanks & Regards
Mohan.

• Document type for MRP generated Purchase Requisition selection

Hi,
when I run MRP ,for externlal procurement items system is creating Purchase Requisition with Document type NB.How to make system to take different Document type automatically with MRP.
Thanks and Regards

Dear,
Follow below steps to fullfill your requirements:
1) Go to Tcode OMDT.
2) Click on MRP group
3) In front of your plant maintain your doc.type purchase requisitions for standard purchase ord which you want to generate at the time of MRP --PR generation.
4) Go to Tcode MM02---maintain MRP group same as above parameter in MRP-1 view .
Now run MRP..it will pick the defaulted Document type for PR generation via MRP.

• Document type selection for MRP generated Purchase Requisition

Hi,
when I run MRP ,for externlal procurement items system is creating Purchase Requisition with Document type NB.How to make system to take different Document type automatically with MRP.

Dear,
Go to SPRO-Materials Management--Purchasing Purchase RequisitionDefine Document types
Copy the NB and create and New Document type
You can default the document type from the MRP group.
Customizing is done in OPPZ transaction.
Once you have entered the MRP group to your material master MRP view, then next MRP run will create the requistions using the document types maintained to the MRP group.

• MRP Generating Purchase Reqs for Materials Needed in 2013

Hi, all. We're running MRP and it's generating a massive amount of purchase requisitions (18,310 to be exact).
The following is a typical part setup:
Lot size = EX
Planned delivery time = 5 days
GR processing time = 2 days
Individual/collective requirements = 1
MRP profile = BTO
We have one existing sales order with a delivery date in 2014.
With a lead time of roughly a week, why is MRP generating purchase requisitions out into 2013 for this material??
Thanks!
Sarah

Sarah,
MRP Profile doesn't mean much to us, they are all created individually during each implementation, and they are all different. However, I will guess that BTO is some type of Make-to-order profile.
You mention 18K of PRs. Are these all being created in a single run, or is it possible that they may have been accumulating for a while? To find out, run MRP, but using the parameter for Planning mode 'Delete and Recreate planning data'. It will delete all the unfirmed PRs and then regenerate new ones based on the current situation. I will assume for the moment that all these 'future' PRs are unfirmed, please let me know if they are not.
Since it appears to be a MTO environment (if not, let me know) then you should be able to see in the planning segment which requirement (sales order) is driving the purchase reqs. Depending on your MRP type, this could give you understanding of why MRP is proposing so many PRs.
One thing that will generate a large number of purch reqs is an unrealistic value in Maximum Lot size (MRP1 page of material master). For instance, for a requirement of 1000 widgets, and a max lot size of , say, 2, it would generate 500 PRs for 2 widgets each.
If my suggestions don't help you, please specify MRP Type, Lot Size, max lot size, rounding value, Safety stock, reorder point, Strategy group, From these values we can begin to understand your problem a little better.

• MRP and purchase requisition document type.

Hi
where can I set the purchase requisition document type for
MRP?
MRP generates purchase requisitions using document type NB instead of
a custom document type.
How can I set the system so that generates purchase requisitions with
a custom document type?
Best regards

hi,
in Tranasction : OPPQ, you can assingn the user defined document type.
here standard is NB. There you can change the doucment type to ZNB like.
hope this may help you,

• MRP no purchase requisition generated

Dear Experts,
I have a problem that I can't generate purchase requisition after MRP run.
Example : I have a finished goods material FG and under which has 1 component Mat 1.
The setting in material master of Mat FG is internal procure(E), MRP type = "PD".
Mat 1 is external procure(F) and MRP type = "ND"
I entered the forecast requirement in MD64 for Mat FG and I set the Create PR indicator to 1 in MD02
and start running MRP.
Planned order created for Mat FG, but no PR created for Mat 1 which only shows dependent requirement for Mat FG in MD04.
I can't see there is Mat 1 in the planning file(MD21) under Mat FG.
Any settings I missed and can anyone help?
Thanks a lot.
Claude

Hi,
IF you do not maintain mrp type PD then system wont consider the material during MRP run, so convert it to PD.
Also go through the below link which will clear your doubts of master data maintenance for MRP.

• MRP - Single Purchase requisition for multiple Items

Hi
We have recently introduced MRP module in SAP .In some specific scaeanrios , we want to create a single Purchase Requisition for multiple items .Standard SAP generate different Purchase requisition for each item
Is there any way out

Sandeep,
This topic has been covered numerous times in this forum and in the MM forum. You evidently have not used the search feature. There are thousands of posts in these forums, and the search function will be very helpful for you in future questions.
To answer your question, No, nothing is available to make standard SAP MRP create Purchase requisitions for multiple items.
Most companies address this issue during the conversion of Purchase Requisitions to Purchase orders. During this process, you can add many items to a single purchase order.

• Mismatched data for "Created By" in generated Purchase Requisitions

Hi,
Just wanted to ask question to all gurus that, I see some mismatched data for ‘created by’ for system generated Purchase requisitions. As if I do MRP run using MD40(MPS scheduling run) then system is showing PR created by 'MRP controller' but if I run MRP using MD41(single item multi level), then system is showing the user ids name(the person on whose id MRP run is executed) is showing in the PR.
As both the MRP runs being executed in the same user id, then there should not be such kind of diffrent data. Due to this mismathced data we are gettting some difficulties in the reporting.
Thanks in advance.

• SNP Heuristics generates purchase requisition

Hi Experts,
I have a requriement to generates purchase requisitions start date at Monday; Im trying to use period factor but still I gets the reqs still falls in different days and also the planning calendar under the lot-size. Is there any other ways that I can apply this requirement?
My lot-size is weekly bucket and 1 day transportation duration and 1 day GR.
Thanks
Regards,
Lhon

Thanks again for your reply; yes some of the days that didnt fall has holidays for that current week thats why it didnt schedule at the desired date but some of the Preqs generated were fall on other days even without any holidays in the calendar. Except for the calendars of the transport and handling what are the other factors thatc an affect this specified period factor settings? Other than this setting would you consider any other scenario to apply this requirement?

• MRP is not generating purchase requisitions consistently for MRP type VB

Issue: When executing consumption based MRP in ECC 6.0 using the following parameters; purchase requisitions are not created for all material with stocks below max stock levels. In other words requisitions are created incase of some materials and requisitions are not created for others.
u2022 MRP type VB ( manual reorder point) with reorder point qty
u2022 Lot size HB with Max stock level
u2022 Procurement type F (external procurement).
Additional info: Some of these materials are batch managed and results are inconsistence whether it is batch managed or not.
Regards
Sai

I checked that and planning file entry is created.
Example 1: MRP is not working.
MRP type = VB
Lot size =HB
Procurement type= F
Material # = 1200045
Reorder point =30
Max stock level = 300
Available qty = 139
No PRs are existing before MRP.
MRP is expected to create PR for qty 161 (300-139= 161)
Example 2 : MRP is working.
MRP type = VB
Lot size =HB
Procurement type= F
Material # = 1200052
Reorder point =100
Max stock level = 1000
Available qty = 87
MRP created PR qty of 913 and results are as expected.
MRP is expected to create PR for qty 161 (1000-87= 913
NOTE: I am directly creating Purchase requisitions by selecting creation Purchase Requisitions Indicator =1 during MD01/MD02 trxs . Not creating any planned orders.

• MRP and Purchase Requisitions..

Hello,
I want to know
When MRP generates the Purchase Requisitions which has many due dates per lines, how does the dating logic work. Can we state create one PO for all lines due on a specific date and create a second one for other dates. So there for a Purchase Rec, could turn around multiple PO based on dates. We want one PO per due date, not nested due dates within the PO. It is also my understanding that this can be automated. If you automate rec to PO, can you do this per question above on PO per due date
Thanks
Kris

Please see response below:
When MRP generates the Purchase Requisitions which has many due dates per lines, how does the dating logic work.
[ANSWER] The due dates or delivery dates are completed as follows:
Delivery Date = PR Release Date + Purchasing Processing Time + Planned Delivery Time
with the following notes:
1. PR Release Data -> Time that the PR is ready for conversion to PO
2. Purchasing Processing Time -> the period it takes for the purchasing department to convert the PR's into POs; measured in work days and is maintained in Materials Management under Consumption-Based Planning u2192Plant Parameters u2192 Carry Out Overall Maintenance of Plant Parameters.
3. Planned Delivery Time - period it takes from the receipt of the PO (by the supplier) to the delivery of the goods onsite. This is measured in Calendar days and is maintained on the Material Master Record, Vendor Master Record or the Purchasing Inforecord
In addition, the Material Availability Date is computed as
Availability Date = Delivery Date + GR Processing Time
where
GR Processing Time - time it takes to process the delivery (i.e. unpacking, storage, etc) for internal use; measured in work days and is maintained in the Material Master Record
Can we state create one PO for all lines due on a specific date and create a second one for other dates. So there for a Purchase Rec, could turn around multiple PO based on dates. We want one PO per due date, not nested due dates within the PO.
[ANSWER] We can do that by using the delivery date as one of the parameters for PO creation. Although, please note that there are a lot of factors to be considered for PO creation, not just the delivery date
It is also my understanding that this can be automated. If you automate rec to PO, can you do this per question above on PO per due date
[ANSWER] Yes, this can be set in ME59N, to create a new PO per delivery date. Again, please take note of the other dependencies/requirements for creating POs as well as the other requirements for automatic generation. Note that your business processes must be healthy enough to allow the system to automatically create the Purchase Orders
Hope this helps

• MRP split purchase requisition with same date

Hi guru
When I run MRP, if there are more requirements for the same material with same date, the system creates one purchase requisition grouping requirements.
So, if I have two requirements of 3 and 2 pieces for material A, with date 18042015, the system creates one purchase requisition of 5 pieces
I tried to use a BADI in order to split purchase requistion and have in this case a purchase requisition of 3 pieces and another one of 2 pieces but maybe I wrong something because MRP works wrong.
Is there anyone that could give some tips about this request? Is there anyone that had same problem?
Thanks
Regards
Raffaele

Hi,
Hope your BAdI is working now.
MD51 is used for project. It creates replenishment orders against a WBS element. After this, you can run MD01 which will create replenishment order by material/plant level.
If you have a question related to PS, maybe you can post your thread in this space:

• Production order that generate purchase requisition

Hi!
I need to now from where in SPRO I set the purchase requisition type that the system generate when I use MD02 transaction. The thing is that the system generates an NB type, and I would like to generate an PURE type. Can this be done? How?
Also, when I use MD04, and try to convert a purchase requisition (type NB) in purchase order, the system generates an NB Purchase order and not an PUOR Purchase order. Can this be changed, as the system generate a PUOR Purchase order instead of NB, and if yes, where?
Thanks

Hello,
For MRP to create a certain requisition document type, try assigning this to the MRP group for the material in OMDT, so in "doc.type purchase requisitions for standard purchase ord" enter the type you want. Assign the MRP group to the materials appropriate.
Then for a PO type you need to configure settings in MM>Purchaing>PO-->Define document types. Here, for the PO document type assign the correct link to purchase req, meaning only the PO type you want can created from the reqs.
Hope that helps.
Thanks.

• MRP: Delete Purchase Requisitions and Create Planned Orders

Hi there,
I have a scenario, where in a material (HALB) was marked as externally procured. MRP was run for FERT material. The dependent requirements for FERT were created. Planned orders of the HALB material were changed to Purchase Requisitions.
Later, the procurement type of material was changed to Inhouse Production.
Now, I want all the Purchase requisitions that were created to be deleted and Planned orders should be created when I run MRP.
I tried all the possibilities, but of no success.
Please lemme know if there is any possibility to delete the P.Rs and Create Planned orders by running MRP.
Regards,
ABC

I Haven't read the Plan order is converted in to PR Before
If YOU convert the plan order in to PR, system will firm the Requirement, YOU need to remove the firm indicator FIxed iD in PR Before doing the MRP Run Again
Do the following thing in PR
In PR Remove the Fixed ID in Quantities and Dates tab of the item
and Rerun the MRP with Planning Mode 3 It will create a plan order

• Min-Max Planning Generating Purchase Requisitions

We have been using min-max planning for a while and scheduling the min-max planning report (planning level: organization) to run every evening to generate a purchase requisition. Of late we have some items that are showing a reorder quantity but not generating a purchase requisition. We have verified the set up of those items against items that are generating a requisition and can't see a difference. What are the possible causes of items not generating a requisition when using min-max planning?
Thank you!

Make sure Item Settup has the "List price" Given.
Source is set to " Supplier"
When you are running the Min-Max Report, it should have the Parameter "ReStock" to "Yes".
Since the records has to come from the Inventory to the Purchasing Module there is possibility that Records might be there in Interface tables. Run the "requisition Import" program and see if it address your issue.
Thanks and regards,
