Sometimes after calling, lock on, or pressing back button the display get black completely. Plesse tell me what is the reason, and how would I overcome with this problem.

hi mate, have you checked that you are up to date with the latest firmware for your device, along with the latest Nokia system app updates from the Store? also check that you have a correctly cut microSIM card and that there is no discernible physical damage to your handset.

Nokia Lumia 525 Software Update. Wifi problem.

Hello Nokia users. I recently bought a Nokia Lumia 525. Heard that Software Update would come by September. So i learned how to update my phone by seeing Nokia videos and articles. I got to know that we need a WiFi connection to perform a Software Update.
the problem is i don't have a WiFi connection in my place. Can i download the update using Mobile Network ? I saw this " YOUR PHONE WILL AUTOMATICALLY DOWNLOAD UPDATES IF YOUR DATA SETTINGS ALLOW IT" what does that mean ? How can i make my data settings allow it to download my update ? Can i pause and resume my download ?
i heard that we can Update our phone at your nearest Nokia Care center... If yes how much it will cost ?
please don't get angry on my questions,, im sorry that I've asked so many questions... Please answer me.

Bugs in new lumia 525 indian model

Took latest lumia 525,but it seems it has lot of bugs specially in music section.
phone is making four copy of a single track and looping same track four times before moving to next track.
phone is getting heated on top Left corner near camera lens even for small time use of Facebook or any other applications
does one have any solutions for above????

The same problem I have faced with Lumia 720. Now I am using Lumia 925 and in it no such problem.

Not Windows 8.1 but WP8.1
You surely will ..when its released for general consumers... No specific date but the release is slated for Q3 of 2014.. so not far away.
BTW, WP8.1 was released a couple of months ago as Preview for Developers as mentioned HERE

As that software update hasn't even been officially announced yet it's impossible to say with any certainty. It is expected it will be compatible with all current WP8 devices but only Microsoft can say that for sure.
You will need to contact Nokia India directly or retailers in India to find out when they expect to be selling it.

Lumia denim for Lumia 525

You cannot do an update over mobile data, you have to find wifi. Alternaitvely you can use the Software Recovery Tool via PC, but that will completely wipe your phone and make a clean install of the firmware, so you need to back up first.

At the moment, developer preview is released but WP 8.1 update will be available for all WP8.0 phones when it's oficially released.
Cortana will be made available gradually around the world, but it may not be available for all phone variants. Cortana depends on speech recognition services and if microsoft cannot provide speech recognition for a language, then cortana will not be available.

Asphalt 8 on Lumia 525

I am Unable to install Asphalt 8 on Lumia 525 from windows store. I contacted Nokia, they gave me a link but it was old version of Asphalt 8.
When I install it, it asks me to update the game. But the update is not available on 525.
I suppose Asphalt 8 for lumia 525 is published seperately by Nokia, Can the game on the given link be updated to latest version 1.3.1.1?
I am not able to play this game, can anyone please help?

It didn't help. Even after the update I can not istall the game, and the link I gave does not contains the updated game. Its still the older version. Don't know what to do. Neither Nokia nor Gameloft is responding to this.

Mobile network problem in my lumia 520

Once network gone, I have to Restart it then again mobile network come.calling proble occurs many times even network is dispayed. Network problem sshould be rectify.

Do you experience the network issue regardless of your area? Aside from calling, are the other network services working fine like SMS messaging and mobile data connection? Is this for a Lumia 520 as well? If so, I hope you're using a standard microSIM and not a cut one as this is what the phone is designed to use.
BTW, the reset that the Nokia Care Center recommended is the one under Settings > about, is that right? After the reset, have you checked if the system apps are updated? Go to Settings > swipe to applications > store > check for updates.

My problems with Nokia Lumia 820

I was a big fan of Nokia until two months back when I purchased Nokia Lumia 820. It's been two months and I'm having tough time with the handset.
First it was the heat issue. I know smartphones are tend to get heated up due to processors. But my mobile gets heated up in less than 5 minutes when I play games like real football, wordament and even simple games. I thought I got a bad device out of the box. When I say heated up it's not warm, its hot and uncomfortable hotness. I can't hold my device until the heat subsides. I visited the Nokia care for raising the heat issue but they said they can't do much and updated my mobile to the latest firmware (1308) and asked me to check after the update and the heat issue is still the same. Just when I thought things can't get any worse it did. My mobile has visited Nokia repair factory already twice in less than two months of purchase. The first major problem occurred three weeks back when the display would be switching on and off randomly and finally the mobile got bricked. The screen went blank completely and the device was unresponsive. Along with that complaint I've again raised a complaint about the device getting heated up uncomfortably. 14 days after I submitted my device to Nokia care I got my device back only to find that the screen isn't responsive to touch in the middle within a week's time. The upper part and the lower parts are responsive, it's the middle strip that's not responding to touch.
I've again given my mobile to Nokia care and they have sent it to the repair unit. In two months of my purchase the mobile has spent more than 4 weeks at Nokia repair outlet. It is still undergoing repair in the Nokia repair factory. I had least expected this from Nokia.
Some of my friends who have windows 8 phones from Nokia haven't experienced any problems so far, not even heating problem. It's safe to say that the problem is only with my device.
It's two months old and I've got it from the Nokia priority dealer.
What'd you call a device which spends more than 40% of the time in the repair factory in two months of the purchase. Even the 3 months EMI's haven't been payed fully.
I've encountered lots of inconvenience after purchasing the device.

Poor Reception on Nokia Lumia 525 after updating from Windows 8.0 to 8.1

Hi, I am using Vodafone India and I am facing some issues with network connectivity. Infact in areas of low signal availability( relatively low signal availability- 4 points and 2g is available) the phones network bar switches off and then it freezez to 1 point(some times stays as zero bars of coverage). Also there is problems with calls being dropped and network browsing issues. Even if I move to an area with good signal still it shows only 1 point. I have to turn on flight mode and again return to normal mode to get connectivity.I replaced my sim twice but still the problem exists. So I tried using a different sim in my phone and then also problem persists. I also tried my sim on a different set(Lumia 520) and it was showing full network coverage(Where as it shows 0 or 1 bars in my phone).I went to Microsoft service centre and they did a reset and said issue was software related. But again when I moved to low coverage area same issue started again . Also from what I remember, this problem started after I update my mobile from windows 8.0 to 8.1

If the MS service have done a firmware reinstall and you still have the problem then it is not a software fault. Take it back and insist they check the antennas connections.

Problem with nokia lumia

I have nokia lumia 720 and i am facing some prolems. we can't send any video by blutooth or any other way.
even on whatsapp we can send any video from any phone but is this most advance phone we can't.
why?
2nd there is no fm, as i came to know that in next month we will get windows update. so will the upcoming update solve these common problems?
if not then i am going to buy android.

FM radio should be enabled with the upcoming amber update.

Problem with Nokia Lumia 925

This is what i encountered with my nokia Lumia 925 after 3 days of usage, i am not sure anyone besides me, facing the same problem.
- Overheating, after taking few photos, the phone feel a sudden of heat near the camera.
- Freeze, the phone freeze sometimes, and auto turn off the wifi, when you open it, it says you need to restart the phone, before can turn on the wifi.
- Music + videos apps, when you swipe your music in the apps, the apps freezes, but music still playing. Frustrated when you trying to change tracks.
- Video, i transfer some of my video via windows 8 to the phone, some of it lagging while playing the video. i have try numerous video format, it is still the same. I think it is a software problem. It works fine on my old lumia.
- Auto reboot, my phone has been reboot for 2 times, one time is after a called,another one is after i finish using my wechat application.
Lastly, i love lumia 925, i think the design and the pictures capability are what i really in love with, but i hope someone from nokia could tell me how to solve the above problems.

Hi, Di_vico. Does this mean you are not using the case anymore? Do you have a Lumia 925 as well?
As the concern is present with a case on, try doing the below steps. Let's check if these will correct it.
1. Press and hold the volume down and the power buttons at the same time until you feel a vibration (about 10-15 seconds). Your phone will restart automatically.
