Problem in Number range

Dear experts,
in FBN1, I have to delete a number range which is from 1 to 9999999999 ( complete range) and i am unable to create another range if i want to, as it is overlaping.

if it is in IDes
goto FBN1 and click on status make the current number to 0 and then delete the desired number range.

Problem in number range assignment to equipment category

Hi Gurus,
I have created equipment categories & now want to maintain no. range for them. But by mistake i have assigned the categories to standard no. range group (PM) .Now i want to reverse it by deassigning to its original place.Please suggest me the way how i can do it so that i can create a new no. range group & assign equipment categories there.
Also to activate the check box for external number range i am not able to activate or deactivate the check box.Please suggest for this problem also.

Dear,
For deassigning to it's orignal place
Select the category
Press the select element or F2
Select the Not Assignt (at bottom of the screen)
Press the Element/Group or F5
For creating a new no. range
Select Group at Menu Bar
Select Insert
Now give he Text and give the no. range
u can not activate or deactivate External check box. See there are two lines if u want to give external no. range then assign the no. range at second line where external no. range check box is already activated.

Problem in number range assignment

Hi All,
we have requirement to create a number range object(SNRO). Using FM NUMBER_GET_NEXT creating numbers.
Here i am facing problem, when i am executing FM directly it is getting next number. But it is not updating it as current number in number range object(SNRO). Sometimes i see it skip 5 number in between n update as current number(not in the sequence)
if anybody worked on similor case, please revert bask when you find the time.

It looks like buffer issue of number range.
Do as following to come out form the problem.
Goto SNRO and Enter the Number range name
Click on Change.
Then form Menu-> EDIT ->Buffering -> Select No Buffering..
Also remove the number in buffer to 0 which is 10 by default.
Save and Try now..

Problem of number range object

hi experts,
the user use PA40 to record events and create an employee, the user wants the system to warn if the total number of employee beyond limits.
so i found an exit 'PBAS0001' and implements it, if the total number beyonds limits, and popup to warn user and exit. But the number of employee is got from the number range object. when the program runs to the PBAS0001, the number range object has already add one, and next time when employee created, the employee number wouldn't be continuous.
if the employee number must be continuous, so how to solve this problem? or is there other exit fm runs before the number range object adds? i found an exit named HRBAS00_STRUAUTH runs befor the range object but the necessary parameter is not all ready.

when you start the transaction the numer is for examle 2000 you save the employee. And now you start your transaction again which number is shown now ?

Problem in Number range Interval in VF02

Hi All,
I am using Number range USEREXIT for invoice creation- VF01.
So, while creating invoice, userexit will trigger, as per our logic provided,system generating numbers as expected.- which is working fine.
Where as, in VF02, transaction , i was trying to release invoice to Accounting,
system prompts with the below error message.
Fyi, in my invoice doc type: Number range- interval-19, which has numbers mentioned in the error message below:
am expecting, that when i release invoice to accounting from VF02 transaction, system triggering number range from invoice doc type,- But I dont understand, why it is triggering number range interval again, for which number is already createed in VF01
Error Message:
Incorrect doc.no.: 9003000002. Select document number between 0090000000 and 0094999999
Can someone, have any inputs??

Facing problem in Number Range Allocation for Objects in OM

Hello Friends,
I have couple of questions in setting number range for Objects OM :
1) Can we set one single number range for the objects in all planned versions or do we need to set different number ranges for varous planned versions?
2) If we are already using existing Internal Number Range in $$$$ for Objects in OM, how do we set number range External Number range to use it for forthcoming object creation?
3) If we set the External Number Range, will the system use the set num range combinedly for all object types or individually for each object type (Ex: If we have an external num range 100~200, then while creating Org Unit the system may take 100 after that if we try to create another Org Unit the system may take 101 in seqeuence. After creating these two Org Units, if we try create an Position object will the system start allocating the number from 102 or will it again start from 100)
4) Can we default number ranges for various Object Types Planned version wise? If YES, what feature is used to default this number range?

For 1). Yes you can set number ranges for all plan versions.
2. You can devide like this.
IN - 00000001 to 49999999
EX - 50000000 to 99999999 - EXT.
3. In my view it is applicable to all Objects.
4. Don't know.

Problem in Number Range - object RF_BELEG

Hi,
i Have error that ....... For object RF_BELEG XXXX, number range interval 50 does not exist FBN1
i have gone to FBN1 and even SNRO and gave this object.
Number is already maintained there for 2010 for interval 50 but system still showing me error.
Help Me !

Problem in number range - TX.1-spot forward transaction

While creating spot/forward transaction in TX.1, I have found the following error message:
1     "Number Range does not exist"
     I left the field " External Number assignment - Trans" in TX.1 is blank
     For information, I've set the configuration for number range in IMG as follow:
     -"number range for each transaction type" is blank
     - number range interval for financial transaction for each company code is 'unthick' for field Ext.number range
2     " Number range 01 does not exist"
     For information, I've set the configuration for number range in IMG as follow:
     - I changed the configuration with put number 01 for number range setting for each transaction type.
     - for number range interval for company code is remain the same.
why the above error is occurred?
How the number ranges configuration should be?

Problem--Define number range for cProjects projects

Hi,
Does anybody knows how to define/create number range for projects in cProjects?.
In the standard cPrjects frontend system, the system is taking 16 digits number automatically so i want to define my own number range as required by the client.
Hence please let me know if some knows abt how to define number ranges for projects in cProjects system.

don't think there is a standard functionality for this. But you could create your own number range object and fill the data via BAdi. Try DPR_ATTRIBUTES.

FBN1 problem (document number ranges)

Dear Friends,
When i use tcode FBN1 i get message as "You are not authorized to use this function". Now i checked SU53 where i get message "The last authorization check was successful". Can you tell me what to do ahead. This problem is in development server. But i have complete authorisation in development server. Thanks. Further i can operate FBN1 properly in production server.

When u run the t.code in developement server the system show the message , you are not authorized for this transaction , dear u simply ask your bassi consultant, plase authozed me, not going to other way
its a 2 minut job for Basis consultant

Number ranges are in the Inactive mode.

I am getting a problem with number ranges. When I am at Number ranges screen the options display only in active mode. change intervals and enter intervals are not in the active mode. How can I set this number ranges to be active and can be used. The same problem I am facing with the document number ranges. Please anybody help me in this regard. Thank you in-advance

Error when creating a Number Range

When I use transaction ZNRO to create a number range, I get an error message:
"Invalid call sequence for interfaces when recording changes".
All I did was enter the text and a domain for the numbers. There was an earlier error regarding buffering. It said that I should not use buffering for accounting documents. I am not using this for accounting documents and do not care if numbers get skipped. So I continue through that error.
But after that, the "Invalid call sequence . . ." error pops up.
I searched this forum generally, and with portions of the error text, and do not find any discussion of problems creating number ranges.
The number range I'm created is very simple. I just need "one up" numbers for a custom database used to store custom schedule information.
I'm at release 4.6c.

When at release 3.1i, I had no trouble creating number ranges.

SAP buffer for Customer Account Group (number range skipping)

Dear Experts,
When creating new customer for Account Grp = TRDL for my company, I find out that the number range always skip and this problem continues. Someone told me to check it out if the problem might comes from buffer. In Tcode = SNRO (Object = DEBITOR) I find out that buffer setting = 5.
The Question is how can I check if this buffer rate is compatible with my SAP environment? or which rate is more compatible and help solve the problem of number range skipping?
If anybody have some suggestion please feel free to contribute it.

in SNRO, take out the flag for
"Main memory buffering".
SAP recommends:
Dependencies
When buffering number intervals, gaps may result in number assignment. Buffering is therefore not possible for applications, which require continuous number assignment.
What happens is that the system loads consecutive numbers into the buffer, in your case these are five consecutive numbers. When you create customers and do not use all the numbers already in the buffer, the numbers remain open. Example: You start XK01 for customer creation, create three customers and then logoff. You have two open numbers remaining. Numerical example: 1, 2, 3 have been used, 4 and 5 have been reserved, but are open.
When invoking XK01 again after subsequent log-on, the system pulls the next five numbers into the buffer. Since 1,2,3,4,5 were already taken (for the previous buffer), the next buffer goes from 6 to 10.
Numbers 4 and 5 will never be used, the practical consequence of that are the number gaps that you have noticed.
