Problem in OAC0 ( create content repositories)

Hi Friends,
I am trying to execute a senario of linking DMS with OPEN TEXT (Content Management)
We have completely installed "Open Text Archiving and Document Access for SAP Solutions" in SAP.
I am encountering with a problem, when I'm trying to create a new repository with document area "ARCHLINK" with transaction OAC0.  The value "ARCHLINK" is not getting selected. It is automatically disappearing.
And also by default the Storage Type has value 04 HTTP content server which is again not changeable.
Please help me in this matter to solve the problem. Your timely help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

  • Content Repositories OAC0 - Transport

    Hi
We have separate dev and production Content Servers..
What is the practice followed in creating content repositories in Production server??
Is it transported from dev ?. Or do we have to create it freshly in the production server??
If i try to transport from development, the storage categories are not assignment to the content repository.
ie, Inside the storage category, the content repository name is shown blank after the transport.. though we can see the content repo name in OAC0
So in production server do we have to manually create these instead of transporting from dev server??
    Please guide
    Regards
    Aby

    Hi there,
we did this quite recently, and we did end up setting up the content repository in prod as we didn't have one in dev. It is necessary to open up the client for customising, then you can do it via the transaction or CSADMIN.
I think it was also necessary to set up the required certificate, no expert in that though, basis did this. Then assign the storage cat as you mention

  • If I change the nation setting of my iTunes in order to buy a song from the American iTunes store, then change my setting back to the Korean store (where you cannot buy music) will that create any problems with my downloaded content?

If I change the nation setting of my iTunes in order to buy a song from the American iTunes store, then change my setting back to the Korean store (where you cannot buy music) will that create any problems with my downloaded content? I want to buy an album that I cannot get hold of in Korea, but it is available in the US iTunes store. However since most of my apps are downloaded from the Korean store I'll need to switch back in order to update them. Does anyone know if there are any issues in doing this. I'd rather find out before I spend money, change my store setting back to Korea, and then get told I can't listen to the music because I bought it from the US store and my iTunes is set to the Korean store.
    Cheers.

You canot easily change your country settings.  The iTunes Store in a country is intended only for use by that country's residents, and only while they are in the country. To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card (or other card type if acceptable in a country) issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store.  You are also restricted to waiting 90 days between country changes.
E.g., "The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance." - http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html#SERVICE

  • Storage type of Content Repositories in OAC0

    Hi,
Can someone explain to me what is :
    - Structure storage system, and
    - Logical Repository
and how they are used in the Storage Type of Content Repositories in tcode OAC0?
I was not able to find any related description / explanation in saphelp.
I have a "file and print" server (not running sap or http content server or knowledge server) where users store pdf documents and now need an sap link to these pdf files.
How should I go about setting this linkage?
    Thanks

  • Homogeneous System Copy - Export Import of RFC's, ALE, Content Repositories

    Good Morning,
I have a landscape with a Development and Production Systems with SAP R3 Enterprise 4.70 Ext 110, MaxDB 7.5, HP-UX 11.23. A Homogeneous System Copy is going to be done from Production to Development.
I have a idea to be able to recover the RFC's, ALE and Content Repositories Information after the Copy, which is to create a transport order with the structures which contain data for the RFC's definition, the ALE configurations and definitions and the Content Repositories configurations and definitions in Development and after the copy, transport the orders back to Development. The problem is that i don't know which structures should i use, and if my idea is viable?
For example, if i go to transaction oac0 and look at the content repositories and if i look at the Technical Information, i can see that the fileds with data are from Structure SCMS_SCREP, but my question is, inserting thsi structure in a transport order to import after the copy willbe enough? Aren't there more structures i need to insert in a transport order? And for RFCs and ALE?
Can anyone help me on this matter please?
    Kind Regards,
    Pedro Gaspar

    Hi,
If the target system is being refreshed then first secure any information that you may require.
    1) Backup user master and authorization data from each client where this data needs to be retained.
Use transaction SCC8 to export this data.  Select profile SAP_USER and specify target system = TARGET_SID.
    2) Backup RFC tables to restore destinations afterwards.
the only below tables required to take backup.
Call SE01 and create a new request of type = ""Transport of Copies"" with description = ""Export RFC destination tables prior to system refresh"".Make sure to specify a Target for the request or no data file will be created.
    RFCATTRIB
    RFCCHECK
    RFCDES
    RFCDESSECU
    RFCDOC
    3) ALE / Partner profiles.
Call WE20 and select each partner profile.
Follow menu path ""Partners --> Check"" and obtain a list of tables used.
The only tables listed were the ones listed below.
These tables are client-dependant therefore you will have to logon to each client and call SE01 and create a new request of type = ""Transport of Copies"
      EDPP1
      EDP13
      EDP21
Also document the WE21 --> Ports --> Transactional RFC" section.
Run transaction BD64 and document each configured distribution model.  This information is client-dependent so make sure to record values for each required client. and also record RFC destinations for synchronous method calls in BD97.
I hope it will help you.

You need to supply the "Key Store Location", "Key Store Password", "Private Key Alias" and "Private Key Password' to use socketssl.
Also please make sure that the content server has enabled "Use SSL". You can configure it using the enterprise manager.

  • Content Repositories in Navigation Model not visible

    Hi,
    I use JDev 11.1.1.7 and WCC/WCP 11.1.1.7.
I did follow the tutorial in the Oracle WCP documentation and created a connection to the Content Repository.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E28280_01/webcenter.1111/e10273/createconnect.htm#BGBDDHAA
Step 1 is working fine. In the Jdeveloper Application Resources window I can navigate through my content.
My problem is that when I open my navigation model and try to add a content item I have to set the url as it is shown in Figure 6-24. But I don't see my defined Content Repositories which I see in the Application Resources window. After clicking on the loupe to the right of the url inputBox I only see a folder named "Connections". This folder contains a folder called "Content Repositories". And this "Content Repositores" folder is empty.
Using drag and drop to add content from the Application Resources window to the navigation is working fine for me.
I don't remember, that I had this problem before. Can anybody help me on this.
    Thanks
    Tobi

    Exactly,
this a problem with older versions of Explorer.
I wouldn`t worry too much, though.
Almost everyone don`t use IE6, anymore. The last I heard about it, leats than 11% of people are using it. IE 7 and Firefox are quite more popular.
Now, if you really wanna fix this, one way is to use older versions of iWeb also. You`re probably using iWeb `08. One way is to download and install iWeb `06. But, that really is a pain in the ***.

  • Request time out when creating content database

    Hello,
my problem is, that i cannot create a SharePoint content database via the central administration.
    My Setup is the following:
    SharePoint Server 2013 Enterprise Farm
    1x Applikation Server/WFE (Windows Server 2012 SP 1)
1x Database Server MSSQL Server 2012 (Windows Server 2012 SP 1)
    1x TFS 2013 (Windows Server 2012 SP 1)
all of them are hosted in the same Hyper-V Environment. It is not the fasted Hyper-V Environment existing on planet earth.
The weirdest part of the problem is, i am able to create a content database via powershell.
I am running in some kind of time out issue related to the IIS and CA of that Applikation Server.
Here is the ULS Log from the failling content database creation via CA

The fact that i am able to create a content database through powershell sorts out permissions problems. I am certain of that because the w3wp.exe and the powershell.exe used for both creations were run under the same user.
The timeout always happens aroud 120 seconds after i started the creation. The creation via powershell takes about 3,5 minutes.
Here for the folks that ask me, why i haven't asked google or bing or some other search engine.
I tried the solutions suggested here
    http://www.sharepointpals.com/post/Error-while-Creating-Web-Application-through-Central-Administration , here
    http://anthonyspiteri.net/sharepoint-2010-web-ui-timeout-creating-web-application-quick-fix/ and here
    http://blogs.ibs.com/Duane.Odum/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=33
which i thought pointed me to the right solution.
But those post unfortunatly didnt worked out.
I also tried to alter the web.config files (i know that isn't recommended or supported, but it didn't change anything so those are back to normal as well)
    So here are my question:
Can you guys help me solve this issue?
Are there any other places where timeouts can be managed or defined?
P.S.: I am new to using this forum. so pls don't crucify me for doing a mistake.
P.S.S: My english is very poor also :D
    With best regards
    Simon

Be careful with settings like these because there may be a much deeper issue at hand. I have had an issue with a customer that manifests itself as a timeout on a site collection. It was very hard to track since it didn't happen frequently. We engaged Microsoft
Support to find out the root cause but all they could point at is a general network issue that pertains to authentication. After digging deeper, we found out that the network issue was caused by a saturated network connectivity to the domain controller that
impacts a site collection when the database is making an authentication call. Keep this solution as more of a quick fix but be sure to conduct a deeper investigation of the real root cause

  • Create content modell, logical/physical document class, TA CT04/cl02/dc10

    Dear experts,
Im about to get to know the SAP DMS. Content Server is already running working as well as the content repositories. I now wanna set up a content modell for testing with knowledge provider.
Im a bit confused about the different ways of doing that. What is actually the difference between creating a CHAR in TA ct04, creating a class in Cl02 with type 017 and the alternative of creating a content model with TA SRMCMCREATE or directly in the document modelling workbench.
Once ive hopefully understood the difference how can i start actually creating / uploading real (physical documents) cause in dont understand what TAs cvn01n/02n/03n are for.
There is a large number of function modules for kpro. Fo example when testing SDOK_LOIOS_CREATE i have to enter an RFC destination. What do i have to type in as RFC destination intending to store in content repositories of content server?
I know thats more than one question at a time but i would be very pleased some of these get answered.
    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Dear Christian,
I would like to start providing you information with CT04 question. Here the CHAR value is used for maintaining the type of classification characteristics. The CHAR entry stands for 'Character' type which
means you can add alphabetical and numerical values to this classification characteristic. Transaction CT04 is normally used for creating classification characteristics. In CL02 you can create a class for
classification and then add the characteristics to it. In the standard class type 017 is used for classifying document info records.
Transaction CV01N/CV02N/CV03N are used in standard for document managment functionalities. Here you can create/edit/display your document info records. These document info records are like a frame for your original files which could be added to an info record and then checked into your Content Server.
During this check in function the KPRO function modules are used too.
For further information I would recommend you to see the SAP online documentation under http://help.sap.com.
    Best regards,
    Christoph

  • Create Content in Portal SneakPreview installation

    Hello,
I have got a huge starting problem!
I have just started with SAP and my first aim is to try out the Enterprise Portal.
For this purpose I have installed the SAP NetWeaver Sneak Preview including the SAP Web Application Server,
the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio SP9
and the SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 SP9 and SAP Content Management and Collaboration. I did not install TREX
When I was looking for some documentation on how to start with a portal I found the "SAP Best Practices" Guide. In the document N04: General Settings Installation Guide
Step 3: "Create Content for your Portal" it says "right click on Portal Content and choose New Folder"
then the folder wizard should open...
But I can't right-click on Portal-Content..., well, I can, but only the normal Browser context menu
opens. I'm logged on as Administrator and I've also tried another User to whom I have assigned all available content-manager roles.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Could it have to do something with the Java-Script errors the page seems to include?
    Thank you for any help!
    Ina

    Ina,
if could have definitely to do with Java Script errors. Are you calling the portal web pages using the hosts IP address? If so, use the full qualified hostname instead. ...ah: And use IE 5.5 or 6.0. This should resolve the JavaScript errors and make the context menu available for you.

  • Does anyone else think the 'Creating Content in FCS' forum is Forum Bloat?

I'm interested to see if any of you think that the adding of a new forum one level up from here titled as above will lead to both constant dual-postings and unanswered threads? It seems to me to be nothing more than Forum Bloat. If we allow this, why don't we allow "Hardware Setups for FCS", "Viewing FCS work on video monitor vs LCD monitor" or "Heavy Drinking while Editing - users thoughts?" as forums?
These are threads, not forums! If we need more forums (say, Beginner and Elitist?), then so be it - but let's subdivide the topics via some kind of system rather than some arbitrarily broad topic?

I looked at the new forum, but didn't really 'get it'... I guess it will either prove useful in time, or become redundant and have tumbleweed bouncing around.
Creating Content in FCS? What does that mean exactly?
And in regard to the points thing... well, i'll stick my head on the line here...
The amount of times i've read 'Have you tried using the forum search!?' or 'We get asked this question a thousand times a week... use search.' etc etc etc...
So... off they go and use search... lo and behold, they see a thread title that matches their problem and they investigate... if the person can see a green star next to a certain post they will be assured that that answer will help them.
Sometimes threads go on for pages and pages before a solution is reached... if somebody uses search, finds that thread and starts slogging through all the posts, surely it's just plain helpful to have that green star there... just to say...Hey! this is the answer!. It's like a little flag, waving.
...and if, inadvertantly, some points go to somebody... that's all good in my book. It's just a little nod and a wink to say "Thanks buddy, you helped me out."
I will happily continue to remind people to mark threads 'solved' and to give people a little star... it adds a sense of completion.

  • Created content: Admin hangs

I have been making a new portal and portlets. I have created content for the
buklloader. I run the loaddocs. I go to the admin tool. I click on my rules
and the server gives me the error message:
    From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error<<<
In the console the exception is:
    Fri May 26 09:52:11 CEST 2000:<E> <ServletContext-General> Servlet failed
    with Exception java.lang.LinkageError: Class

    Now i cannot recover anything.
I have deleted the content and ran the bulkloader again. I have also deleted
the rulesheet though the admin tool.
When i try to create a new rulesheet, the same error is given.
    I hope i don't need to reinstall...
Does anyone know the solution and why i got the problem

  • Integrating content repositories

We have various content repositories including
    Lotus Notes/Domino
    Documentum
    and MS Sharepoint
how can we integrate the repositories and provide our users visibility across
    all of them at ease?
has anyone used livelink for that? -- they advertise
http://www.opentext.com/events/event.asp?ID=35063 that this product can integrate
disparate systems but wanted to get some thoughts on this.
    thanks,
    Joe

Have you taken a look at the 'Integrating your Content' page? This provides an overview of the steps.
    http://dev2dev.bea.com/pub/a/2004/04/wlp81_mccauley.html
In short, you need to implement the *Ops interfaces (NodeOps, ObjectClassOps, SearchOps) as well as the Repository connection interfaces.
Create a jar with your integration classes, then place it in the system classpath. It may also work in the application classpath. After this is complete, you should be able to connect to by creating a Repository Configuration via the WLP admin tools.
