Problem in overall release

Dear Expert
we are facing one problem in release procedure of PR previously we are having line item wise release of the purchase requisition now we have change it to overall release , but in that if there is a line item which have deletion indicator then we are not able to release the PR by ME55 , where as we can do the same PR by ME54N , i.e if there is a deletion indicator system is not able to release PR by ME55 . how can we sought the same problem

I need your comments!!!
I define the Purchase requisition as Overall Release, and woks !! but I have a Issue.
I have an entry in the CL24N txn as follow:
AccAssgCat = K
Plant              = CC01
CostCenters = 10001
                        10002
                        10003
totalAmt        = 1USD to 1000US
So when I create my purchase requisition with only 1 Cost Center the release strategy is called and PR can be released.
But When I create the purchase requisition with CC 10001 and 10003, the requisition is not subjet to release!!! (note TotalAmt = 15usd)
I assume that as both are into the release strategy the system will take both CC and ask for release!!
What I can do to fix this situation??

Activate Enhancement M06B0005   EXIT_SAPLEBND_004
Then in the program zxm06u31 put the following code line:
e_ceban = i_ceban.
and also a breakpoint so that it stops automatically upon PR verification or saving.
Activate and then create a PR with the problem you are facing. On saving the program will stop in your breakpoint.
Look at structure i_ceban there you will find the values that your release strategy is getting from the document and with which it will try to determine the strategy based on your classification.
I the standar logic is not what you want maybe you can put some logic of your own based on account assignments in structure C_EBKN.
Well, tell me what happens

PR Overall Release Strategy Problem

Hi Expert,
I have set the following
Characterisrtic Name:
1) ZPR_Release_Plant, Char : CEBAN-WERKS (Char format : 4)
2) ZPR_Release_DOC_Type , char : CEBAN-BSART (Char format : 4)
3) ZPR_Release_Pur_Grp, Char: CEBAN_EKGRP (Char format : 3)
4) ZPR_Release_Total_Value, Char: CEBAN-GFWRT (Curr format : 15 and EUR)
I assign the above to Class : ZPR_Overall_Rel
I created Release Grp R1 and assign the class and tick "Overall Release" checkbox. There is only one class, no others in the list
I created two Release codes, F1 - Senior Finance Manager, C2, CEO
I created two purchasing group, LLL and LYL
I used the standard indicators for S - block 2 - RFQ/PO and I created two release strategies A1 and A2 for Rel grp R1.
A1 - release Code: F1, Classfication: Plant 0001, Doc Type : NB, Value : > 0.00 EUR, and Pur Grp : LLL
A2 - release Code: C2, Classfication: Plant 0001, Doc Type : NB, Value : > 0.00 EUR, and Pur Grp : LYL
The problem is when I tried to created the PR, it doesn't work at all. No trigger whether I click the "check" button at the toolbar of the PR (i.e., the release strategy tab not appearing at the header). I also tried saved and display the PR and see if the Release strategy appears at the header but still not triggering.
Can you folks advise?

Forgot to check the box "Overall Release" forthe Nb doc Type. The problem is now solved.

How can i find the overall release amount in the tables of PR while entering into the workflow.

Overall release strategy in purchase requisition

hi,
how do i configure overall release in case of purchase requisition. i have done item wise release in PR. but in case of overall release what field I should take in characteristics? is their required two seperate classes for item and overall release? i've allready chosen the field BSART and GSWRT for item wise release,

For PRs, there are two types of release procedures available
With classification
With this we can release the PRs both items wise and in their entirety
Without classification
With this we can release only at item level
When you create the Release Group under the release procedure with classification
you check the box " ov Rel P Req (Overall release of purchase requisitions
This Determines that the items in a purchase requisition are all released at
the same time (rather than individually).
This should help to relsove your problem.

PR overall release workflow

Hi All,
I am working on PR overall release workflow (WS20000077) and had activated workflow for PR rejection 'wf_pur_rejo' (WS65400029). When i create a PR using ME51N workitem gets created. When we reject the PR by executing the workitem i receive the workitem for rejection also. Everything is fine till here.
But when i try to execute the workitem (Purchase Requisition XXXXX Rejected) i get an <b>error 'No Administrator found for the task'</b> and i observed that in workitem log it is shown in READY STATE. This happens for some user ids and it works fine with some other user ids.
Can any please tell me where i am going wrong and if i am then eloborate on what should i be doing?

PR Overall Release Workflow - Agents Determination Failed

Dear All WF Experts,
I have used the standard workflow WS20000077 for PR Overall Release. I have assigned the agents to the task TS20000159 by position maintained in the Workflow Organizational Management Structure. The agents' names are showing correctly in the task's agent settings.
However, when I execute the workflow, the error 'Agent Determination Failed' for that step (TS20000159). I have checked the agent settings in workflow and SPRO, they look fine. Could anyone please kindly give me advices how to solve this error? Thank you so much.

Thank you very much for spending time helping me to go through this issue.
Yesterday, I ran through the coding for the function module for the rule AC20000026 again. I found out that there is one part of the coding which is causing the failure of determining an agent. The code disregard the company code for overall release of Purchase Requisition while the business requirement involves company codes in every PR created. Thus, by changing that code, the problem is solved.
The snippet of code of function module (ME_REL_GET_RESPONSIBLE):

it will work, however, I think it's better to just remove the If statement
IF eban-gsfrg EQ space.

Overall release and item-wise release at same time

Hello,
we use item-wise release for our PR strategy. Beside other we have the characteristic Account Assignment Category, which we assigned 'K' for our item-wise release. We also have the characteristic Cost Center.
Now we wanna add a new strategy with Account Assignment Category 'F'.
The problem is, if we do that with item-wise, it will not take affect, because the Cost Center Characteristic will be empty with Acct Assignment Category 'F'.
Now I am wondering if I can create another class with overall release and implement the Account Assignment Category 'F' strategy. But right now, it does not come up after creating a PR with Acct Assgn Cat 'F'.
so my question is, can I implement both classes (Overall release and item-wise release) at the same time?

Item-level release is possible. This can be done as follows:
Solution 1
Enter a blank value in the cost center characteristic. You may need to change the characteristic definition (make it non-mandatory) for this.
Then in case of F, it will find the blank cost center and still determine the release.
If you have some misgivings in this, you can try the next solution.
Solution 2
Create a dummy cost center value in the characteristic for the purpose of release. Activate the user exit for PR Release. In this user exit, if the account assignment is F, change the cost center in the communication structure to the dummy value. This will ensure that the release is determined.

Urgent Help - PR Overall Release not working

Hello Team... I have a problem and I cannot find what I forget to setup.
My Class ZBANF_GESAMT class type 032, its contain the following characteristics
ACCOUNT        ---> Account assignment category has the field CEBAN-KNTTP
PLANT             ---> Plant has the field CEBAN-WERKS
COSTCENTER ---> Cost Center has the field CEBAN-KOSTL
ORDER_TYPE ---> Order Type has the field CEBAN-USRC1
OVERALL_VALUE ---> Total Value of Requisition has the field CEBAN-GFWRT
ORDER_NR          ---> Ordern number AUFK-AUFNR
The Characteristic ITEM_VALUE was replaced with the new OVERALL_VALUE.
After changes these class work fine, but when chenge it to OVERALL_VALUE only works with account assigment K... not for the F conbined with ORDER_TYPE and/or ORDER_NR.
I defined the Release Group M1 as OverReqRel = TurnOn, and assigned my class ZBANF_GESAMT
Also Defined as Overall Release mu PR document types in txn OLME
And well define the release codes, release indicators and created the release strategy.
In CL24N I just filled the values for the class and all looks fine.
But when I create the requisition, send the message *"Purchase requisition 183260 not subject to a
release strategy"*
What I forget !!! ?? Some have an idea??

Overall Release with Cost Centers

I have a questions concerning the overall release procedure. I was told that we cannot have mulitple Cost centers on the same PR when using the overall release strategy. Is this true? If not how do you get around this problem. The release procedure is working but when I enter in two items with two different cost centers I receive an error. Please let me know

Hello every company is facing this problem. To avoid this create a Characterics value as BLANK in the CT04. Input thsi BLANK in CL24N for the particular release strategy.
in SAP; when 2 cost centres are at the line item level; while determining the corect release strategy at header level; the cost centre value cecomes NULL; hence by inserting the BLANK value; the release strategy is picked.

I could not able to create Release Group ( 01 & 02 ) for Release Procedure and assigning it with a Class
( Z_CLASS_PR ) in Set up Procedure with Classification.

Release group:
You are only allowed to use one class for each release object (1=PReq, 2=Purchase order). When you use the overall release (as of Release 4.0A), you are only allowed to use one class for the overall release or individual release. If you use the overall release for purchase requisitions, you must mark this for the document type (transaction OMEB, flag for V_T161-GSFRG) and the release group (transaction OMGQ, flag for V_T16FG-FRGFG). In the overall release, the system only takes into account characteristics that are identical for all items. If, for example, item 10 of a purchase requisition contains material group 001 and item 20 contains material group 002, the material group is set to BLANK for the strategy determination.

PR Overall release issue

PR release strategy issue comes when Line items in PR added by two different persons, PR Release strategy(overall release) not getting triggered.
Release strategy is working fine if i create PR with only one user id.
Both id's maintained in classification.
Is this sap standard behavior??

We have a similar equirement since we have cost center as one of the characteristics in PR overall release strategy.
In our case we agreed with Business that the CC in the first PR line item will decide the release strategy. (Or the first CC of thefirst line item in case of multiple account assignment.) We wrote a small piece of code to achieve this, to enter that CC in ceban-kostl.
If your business requirement permits, you may follow this strategy, where user id of the first line item will derive release strategy.

It is not possible to have more than one class define in the release
strategy but it is possible to define difference characterics within
the same class.
Please verify the following:
1) As the long text of the message says, first check that one release
class only is used within the release groups for overall release and
   the release groups without overall release in each case. However, in
   this instance several release classes have been used.
   This means you have to have one release class only for all the
   release groups for overall release.
   Assign the release groups that were not created for overall release
   to a different release class.
Example:

Why can we only use 1 release class for overall Release of Purchase Req?

Hi,
After realizing that it would be beneficial to use more than one release class for overall release of Purchase Requisition with classification, in use with release groups for overall release, I now ask if someone knows why SAP has chosen to only allow 1 release class for overall release of Purchase Requisition?
In my scenario I would like Release group US, used for release strategies for US-plant to be able to use 1 release class with a specific set of characteristics.
For example class REL_PREQ_CLASS_OVERALL_VALUE_IN_USD including a characteristic PR_TOTVAL_USD looking at CEBAN-GFWRT. The chosen currency for this characteristic would be USD.
I would then like to allow Release group FR, used for release strategies for FRANCE-plant to use another release class with another set of characteristics.
For example class REL_PREQ_CLASS_OVERALL_VALUE_IN_EUR including a characteristic PR_TOTVAL_EUR looking at CEBAN-GFWRT. The chosen currency for this characteristic would be EUR.
In this way the release strategies for the respective release groups US and FR, could maintain their overall limit values in their respective release strategies in their own currencies.
1. Observe that I do not want to use the same Release class for both release groups for overall release, even though I know that this is currently the only allowed option, as far as I've understood.
2. Observe that I do not want to specify the two characteristics PR_TOTVAL_USD and PR_TOTVAL_EUR for overall value in the same release class, as this would lead to double maintenance for a large number of release strategies. Also consider the maintenance when new countries with new currencies want release strategies.
3. Observe that I only want to use overall release.
What I'm trying to avoid is having to continuously translate local business USD overall value limits to limits in the currency chosen for the overall value characteristic. If this for example is specified in DKK, this would lead to a need to adjust the overall value limits as soon as the exchange rate between USD and DKK changes in the system.
Please consider this simple example:
Local requirement is that USD purchase requisitions should be blocked when the USD value is above 1000 USD. However in my release strategy I would have to maintain a value of >5365 DDK, if DKK is chosen as the currency for overall characteristic.(e.g exchange rate 5,365).
Next month the currency exchange rate in the system between USD and DKK has changed, and therefore I would have to go into CL24N and maintain the value to reflect the new exchange rate between USD and DKK. Lets say it has gone up to 5,435. I would now have to maintain a value of > 5435 DKK in my release strategy to correctly reflect the local business requirement of 1000 USD.
So if anyone could please explain why SAP has taken the decision to make the Release class for overall release client specific that would be much appreciated and awarded accordingly. Also if you have any suggestion on how I could obtain the above scenario on maintaning overall value limits in different currencies than that would be awarded to.

Overall release of PR in Release Strategy

I have created item-wise release of PR using with Classification of Rel Str.
But when I am creating overall release of PR I am not getting the tab.
I made settings in Rel Gp screen (ticked te check box for overall rel) & also ticked the check box in the document type of PR.

Am confused. You wrote 'Have created item-wise release strategy' and also asking 'Overall release'.
If you have "made settings in Rel Gp screen (ticked te check box for overall rel) & also ticked the check box in the document type of PR", then you have configured Overall release.
If PR does not get release strategy tab at header, it could be due to incomplete release strategies. No release strategy might have been triggered for your PR data. Do you see release strategy tab at item level ?
