Problem in Packaging Process

Hello Experts,
I am working on a Packaging Scenario.
I am using a packaging material PACK100 to pack material RICE100.
I have done an initial stock entry of 500 nos. of PACK100 in the Partner Storage location.
Now, I want that every time when packing is done during Inbound delivery creation, the packaging material should be picked from the Partner Storage location.
What is happening right now is that, the packing material is getting created in the Partner storage location. Therefore, instead of decrease in qty. of the packing material in the partner storage location, there is an increase in the number.
Can you help me in telling where exactly do we tell the system that Packing material used for packaging has to be picked from a specific Storage location.

As per my best knowledge:
- the packed (main) item is in the storage location for which HU requirement is set
- the packaging material is in the partner storage location (unpacked main items can be in the partner storage location too).
If you remove the packed material from the HU storage location,--> you CAN consume the belonging packaging material from the partner storage location
If you receive the packed item into the HU storage location --> you CAN increase its stock.
Normally, handling units are not built into the main item, so consuming them via packaging, I'm not sure it is the best solution - e.g. you loose information on your packaging material inventory (pallet).
If you want to have a different logic from the standard, you have to investigate the possible solutions.
I'm not sure mixed items (e.g. GI for main item and GR for packing item) will work at the same time in outbound delivery (or the opposite scenario in inbound delivery)...

Problem with long filenames in packaging processes

Hi,
I have a quick question regarding packaging processes of Thinapps. I'm sure others have the same issues too, but it is not much info on it on the interweb.
certain application have alot of subfolders in program files etc. when the developers made the application they did not go over the 255 NTFS filename limit. but when working with the virtual filesystem we get additional subfolders. This makes it difficult to move project folders etc.
Does any have some fix on this issue other than using subst command everytime for each folder?

We use Thinapp 5.1.
We already change the location but, but when storing the project folder on a share we cant avoid getting additional sub directories. The developers for all applications take this into account when they get the same problem in their development environments.
If Thinapp had not used ANSI codes that has a limit of 260 path length. then I dont think that it would an issue. Support case?

InDesign CS6 crashing in packaging process

Hi all,
I'm having a problem with InDesign crashing during the 'packaging' process. Here are the details:
System:
iMac running 10.6.8 OS
Version: CS6 8.0.1
Issue:
When packaging, after ive gone through, agreed to the warning blah blah its starts packaging. Sometimes it gets to packaging the links then crashes half way through, but most of the time it only gets as far as packaging the fonts then crashes. Ive sent crash reports, I've updated, I'v saved as different names in different locations, I've called adobe and sat on hold for 30 mins before i got impatient and hung up. Ive found its also running super slow - it takes a few seconds to highlight text or object and even longer to copy and paste.
Bottom line, I need to be able to send the package to another colleague so its very frustrating. I've also tried exporting an .idml file and package that in CS5.5, but it didnt work either. We pay an absolute fortune for this software in Australia - it should work!
Any ideas?

Hi Peter,
We keep all our files on a Mac Leopard Server. There are no 'illegal' characters in paths, but your suggestion to copy to local worked. but this is a bit of a pain to do everytime i need to package (which is pretty much every time!) and ive worked of this server using the same file structure for a couple of years now and never had this problem until installing CS6 last week.
Heres what im working with (maybe you can see an issue that i can't):
InDesign file sits at: Leopard Server/Folder Name/2012/WORKBOOKS/Folder Name/FileName_021112.indd

Hi,
I will suggest you to check a few places where you can see the status
1) SM37 job log (give BIrequest name) and it should give you the details about the request. If its active make sure that the job log is getting updated at frequent intervals.
2) SM66 get the job details (server name PID etc from SM37) and see in SM66 if the job is running or not. See if its accessing/updating some tables or is not doing anything at all.
If its running and if you are able to see it active in SM66 you can wait for some time to let it finish.
3) RSMO see what is available in details tab. It may be in update rules.
4) ST22 check if any short dump has occured.
You can also try SM50 / SM51 to see what is happening in the system level like reading/inserting tables etc.
If you feel its active and running you can verify by checking if the number of records has increased in the cube.

Problem with packageing and deploying a sample application

HI,
I have tried to download and install the server in my system. I am able to deploy a sample application using autodeploy utility.
But when i tried to package a new sample application and deploy i am getting 404 error. For application server i have used 7070 port and not the default 8080 port will this a problem to package & deploy sample application provided with this software.
The error is as below:
HTTP Status 404 - /hello1
type Status report
message /hello1
description The requested resource (/hello1) is not available.

Btw, verify that the url you are trying to access is correct. For instance, assuming you deploy app. without --contextroot option. By default, the url is http://<host>:<port>/<web module name>/<value of url-pattern in web.xml> if your app contains servlet. If your app has jsp then it's http://<host>:<port>/<web module name>/<value of url-pattern in web.xml>/<name of jsp>

Problem with css processing in Firefox8 on Win7.

Hi guys. I have a problem with css processing in Firefox8 on Win7. I need to make div which width and left css properties should be dynamically changed. Inside this div i have an swf object. When i change width and left css styles for my div, it jumps on the page, but other browsers render that well. What can you suggest to fix this problem? Thanks

After Effects Warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

Hi There Fellow Adobe After Effects Users.
Please could some one help assist me with the following error i am getting.
I bought a template and needed to do a logo animation reveal. It was done using After Effects CC for PC.
AE had to then convert it to Mac which did so successfully. I was able to modify, add my logo and render out.
The following day i opened the file again and it gave me the follwoing error:
"After Effects Warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands"
What is confusing to me is that this issue would normally appear if my graphics cards did not support OpenGL, and it would not have opened in the first place if it was not supported.
My graphics card is a - ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB - running Mavericks OS. So i know that this card does support GPU acceleration.
Please could someone point me in a direction that will fix this.

If I look at my display info, the card says OpenGL engine. Does this mean anything?
If it's not supported, then what's the point in purchasing a Mac If you cannot use AE's full capacity. Mac doesn't put Nvidia cards in there machines and on the Adobe website, ATI cards ate not listed; but in the same breath it says that most ATI cards that have come out in the past 5 years are supported. Surely Adobe and their technicians must have spoken with Mac technitions.
I am considering to buy the new Mac Pro; but am definitely going to change my mind if I cannot use AE's full compatibility. I don't see why spend so much cash if the cards aren't great.
Please could you then tell me what functions to switch off in the project file. I'll get the guy whom I bought the template from to switch of those functions.

Returnable packaging process-Vendor-Company-Customer

Dear SAP Gurus,
I have searched through the internet as well as on this forum but I was not able to find the information I am looking for.
I have the following issue concerning the Returnable packaging process in SAP:
I need to gather overall information concerning the returnable packaging. The info concerning returnable packaging in relation 'my company' - 'customer' is quite accessible, however what about the process from vendor's side?
The process is as follows:
My vendor provides me with some materials that come with returnable packaging (e.g.Pallet01) -> Assuming I am just a middleman, I sell the goods to my customer and also send them on Pallet01 (one day my customer must return the pallet to me and I must return it to the vendor).
- What are the settings I must set in customizing and in material master?
- How would the process look like in the system?
- In what report I can see how many Pallets I owe to the vendor and how many Pallets each customer should return to me (is there one report that would show everything or do I have to use separate reports)?
- How do I proceed if the vendor decides to invoice me for the pallets or I decide to invoice my customer (I would like to know the best practices)?
If there is an existing topic here (I was no able to find one) or any materials on the net I would be also grateful for the links.

ex- create a po for 100 material send to vender then vendor send 100 materials to u then u migo finally stock is in ur plant ,
then u sold that material to customer that is SD come to the picture if customer send faulty material to you then u receive that material to send faulty store , that material u will check ur system it will track all movement , then u will get to know which vendor u procured the material then go to migo return to vendor put that po no which po u procured the materials ,enter it will display all material what ever material u procured at that time then select the material & quantity and save ,it will goes to vendor
before u should have customize MM-SD-FI integration

Problem on creating process order

Dear Team,
I have a problem on creating process order thru COR1 where the basic start date only accept and follows current date. Basic finished date, no problem. Previously, i can set the basic start date using previous date / date in the past (in the same current month). I'm using "Only capacity requirements" for scheduling type.
is there anywhere in the SAP config that i can check?
and why this problem occured?

I got the mechanics of adding packages working and successfully installed the packages for x11 support. Next I need to add some packages to install Oracle database. Packages are listed in the database Installation Guide.
First, check to see if the required packages are already installed:

Ah, the devil is always in the fine print. I am planning on installing Oracle 11.2, so from the Database Quick Installation Guide

The following packages (or later versions) are required for Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2) on Oracle Solaris 10:
I overlooked the proviso "on Oracle Solaris 10". There was no separate listing for Solaris 11.
Also, going back and double checking the entire section on software requirements, I see that only Oracle 11.2.0.3 or later is supported on Solaris 11. So if I want to install Oracle 11.2.0.1, I'll need to drop back to solaris 10.

Problem importing packages...

I am learning Java for a while. I have a very strange problem with packages. The problem is the next one:
When I import the complete package like this:
import ThePackage.*
I got the following the next errors:
main.java:8: cannot resolve symbol
symbol : constructor Class1 ()

Class1 C1=new Class1();

main.java:9: cannot resolve symbol
symbol : constructor Class2 ()
location: class Class2
Class2 C2=new Class2();

In order to use this packages, I have to use it this way:
import ThePackage.Class1;
import ThePackage.Class2;
My question is if I have to import every class I am going to use per package? Or why I can�t import using asterisks ('*')
My other problem is when I use class within the same package, I have to import them too. I have to put the "import ThePackage.*;" in every class within it.

You can try to compile with javac -verbose and see what happens. It's because the class you want to compile is not in a package, and you want to import a whole package. But how would the compiler know if you want to use the Class1 and Class2 that is not in a package or those that are in a package?! First it checks if there are those classes which are not in a package. It doesn't find them, but it finds the java source code, so it attempts to use that (which will fail becuase you have package declaration in them). So sudha_mp is right about that you have to remove the source code, then you should be able to compile your code (or the class you want to compile has to be in a package).

"Internet Mail - Problem during delivery processing" email received

Every email I'm receiving as of this morning is accompanied by an email from [email protected], entitled "Internet Mail - Problem during delivery processing"
Is this an issue on the Mac server side or a problem with my Mail app?

My Wife and I both have an Ipad and an iPhone, I use an iMac and my wife a MacBook Pro.
I have this problem with all my devices.
My wife has NOT got this problem.
We both use a [email protected] email acount.
Just compared the settings:
For "Incoming server" I have p03-imap.mail.me.com
My Wife has p02-imap.mail.me.com .... and has not got this problem.
I have setup a new rule for incoming mails (for the meantime):
move all incoming emails from [email protected] to trash and delete it.
Works fine for now,......until APPLE deals with the problem.

Packaging Process in BYD

I have created the logistics unit and tried to link this unit to the Package in the Outbound logitic. But the Logitics unit id is not showing in the Insert Package Button.

Returnable Packaging - Process

What is the process of returnable packaging in MM??
We bought a drum full of 40 Lt of chemicals. We have paid the price of chemical and the material has also been consumed. But now the vendor demands the container back. How to capture stock of these containers in SAP?
Please help!

Problem in Backorder Processing

I am facing a problem in backorder processing
Let me explain the scenario
System shows available quantity as 100 quantity for some x material, now I place order for 100 quantity for that material but the system confirms only 70 quantity when check the availability overview in co09 there was an open order for 30 quantity dated 2 years ago when I tried to do the backorder processing thru co06, the system doesnt allow me to select that particular line it shows the error please select the line that can be changed.
I checked that order in va02 in that status for that material is showing completed that has been delivered and billed completely. I dont know what to do now kindly guide me to solve this issue

If it is showing as open order qty of 30 that means that it is assigned to an order but the order is not completely delivered i.e. goods issue is not done or some other thing.
If you want to cancel that order, so that 30 value comes into your stocks, you have to delete that order. For that first you have to delete the delivery using VL02n and then the order using VA02, once that order is deleted you will get that stocks for your use........
