Problem In Persian(Farsi) Font

hi. im using windows xp on my computer and now im interested in using apple safari browser. but there is a little problem in the pages that written in persian. the word in persian can not be readable and they arent conneted with each other and there is a space between the alphabets. for example consider this word : آرمین . in apple safari this word changes into this kind : آ ر م ی ن . so now i need your help that i can solve my problem. so anyone know the way of solving this problem ?

Hm... I see the example word without spaces between letters. I'm a little confused.
However IMHO you should wait at least for next version of Safari. Notice that "Coming Soon" list on http://apple.com/safari/download have these items listed:

  • Problem in typing farsi fonts in forms9i

    hi,
some oracle users in iran use farsi fonts in oracle forms 9i without any problem.
i don't know what they do?
would you please help me for resolving this problem.
    thanks a lot.
    farshad.

    Farshad,
Only you knows what best for you, Microsoft technology or Oracle, but please be a bit more humble when asking for information.
If you don't get any answers on your question it might be
    1) We don't fully understand your question (I didn't), or
    2) No one have any information/solutions about that topic
    I would suggest
    1) Be more specific when asking a question here
    2) Check out the Forms homepage at http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/
    3) Search Metalink (Best source, I my opinion)
    4) Do a google-search
    5) If above don't help, open a service request (TAR) on Metalink
    Good hunting!

  • Can't write Persian/Farsi in Premiere

    Hi all,
I don't know if my question related to this forum, if it is not please tell me where should I post this.
I have a problem typing Persian/Farsi in Premiere. I've Persian fonts and it works just fine on Google or Facebook and in Photoshop and Final Cut Pro but it doesn't work on Premiere. Anybody knows how to change Premiere's setting or enable the Middle Eastern fonts on it?

As far as I know Premiere does not support Middle Eastern fonts. You may want to ask on the Premiere Pro forum.

Well, it is not imperative you discuss it there; but it would be a good idea.  I think it is safe to say that Persian is something with which most here have little experience.  Since it is unique to Arch, the bug tracker is your best bet.
In any event, you are welcome to discus it here.  You might also try posting in the Other Languages section of the forums to attract the attention of others using your language.
I see that you included test cases.  That is a terrific idea.  You may find that the developer who supports this may not have a mastery of the Persian language and could well use constructive feedback from a native speaker;  I think you could make a significant contribution in that way.

You need to enable a Persian keyboard. This will tell you how
    <http://tlt.its.psu.edu/suggestions/international/keyboards/mackey.html>
Mac OS X comes with three different Persian keyboards. Enable them all, try them out, see which one you prefer. (You can also install a different one, if you choose.) Then use the Geeza Pro font to begin with.
There are quite a few other resources, which you can find by googling. I suggest a closer look at Mellel
    <http://www.redlers.com>
It's an excellent Mac word processor; moreover, it was designed specifically for RTL languages.
I also suggest checking the Iranian Mac User Forum, where you are likely to find more specific advice

  • Problems with Photos and Fonts and Explorer

I am having problems with photos and fonts when my site is viewed on Explorer. The site is Ostyn-Newman.com The problems can both be seen on the start page -though they happen throughout the site. The photo is supposed to be only 30% opaque and it shows fine on Firefox or Safari, but Explorer viewers get the photo being used as wallpaper at 100% and this steps all over the text. Should I give up a using a photo as wallapaper?
Also the font I am using for "Ostyn-Newman Objects for Fine Homes" shows well in Firefox and Safari, but looks really bad on Explorer products. Should I just change the font? I am currently using Snell Roundhand.

See Roddy's posts in these topics:

  • Hi, I have problem with accesing Assets - Fonts (Synced Typekit fonts)!

Hi, I have problem with accesing Assets -> Fonts (Synced Typekit fonts)!
Can You help me with that problem?

    Hi Tarik,
I'm sorry you ran into trouble here. There are a few things we can check right away to start debugging this:
    - First, would you try signing out of the Creative Cloud app and see if this solves the issue? This can be found under: Gear > Preferences > General > Account.
    - Could you try quitting/restarting the Creative Cloud app. Did this solve the issue?
    - Could you try Turning File and Font Sync off under: Gear > Preferences > Fonts. Wait a second, then turn it back on. See if the font/s show up and if not, try syncing again. Did this solve it?
    - Could you tell me if you're on the Windows/Mac OS X and the version?
If none of those worked, would you attach the CoreSync files and send those to our support email: [email protected]?
On the Mac, the folder can be found here:
    /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CoreSync/CoreSync-yyyy-mm-dd.log
(You'll want to open the Finder, click Go, in the menu, hold down the "option" key and you'll see the Library folder.)
    On Windows:
You can find the files under: C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CoreSync\coreSync-2013-08-xx.log
I know this is a lot. Thanks for your help here.
    Cheers,
    Benjamin

  • Persian (farsi) language support for Ipod nano 5G.

I could find the Arabic language support but no Persian (Farsi) support. I am wondering why Apple still does not support this language.
Also I wanted to know if there is any way that we could translate the English to Persian and add into our Ipod nano ourselves.

Apple tells everyone what languages it supports in the tech specs for its products:
    http://www.apple.com/ipodnano/specs.html
To tell them you want another one, go here:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipodnano.html
if there is any way that we could translate the English to Persian and add into our Ipod nano ourselves.
If you are talking about the user interface, the answer is no.

  • Hi, After I installed Mac Lion, I have problem with the tamil font while typing in Neo Office. Especially with the letters "e-Ex: தெ" and "ai-Ex:தை". Please help me I know its not bug from Apple It shd be some problem in neo.

Hi, After I installed Mac Lion, I have problem with the tamil font while typing in Neo Office. Especially with the letters "e-Ex: தெ" and "ai-Ex:தை". Please help me I know its not bug from Apple It shd be some problem in neo.

Is your problem due to the keyboard or to NeoOffice Characters? You have to change probably the font. Not all fonts are supporting all Unicode sets. Which font you have in your NeoOffice set to write Tamil? Try with Arial Unicode MS for example.
Are the letter e-Ex and ai-Ex right in your posting? If they are right, how you inserted these letters in your posting? By copy and paste or by typing? If by typing, your question is related to NeoOffice. Probably you should reinstall or update NeoOffice? Or switch to OpenOffice?

  • Farsi fonts in Pages

I have to do a lot of proofreading of articles that come out of Iran and also China. I know that I can use 'International' in the preferences to input different fonts, but how do I get to read them in a document that is predominantly in English.
In the case of the Chinese font, I have searched the internet to find it, but the only link I have found is for Windows.
I also have to use Word for the final document, but, even Word for Mac, does not have these fonts.
So, my question: How do I get to read these fonts in a predominantly English document?
Any help would be really appreciated.

If I understand correctly, the original documents are in Word format? Provided they come from a late version of Word, it should be possible to open at least the Chinese ones in Pages. If Pages does not find the original font, it usually finds another font which contains the character.
However, that is the theory, and I know reality is not always the same.
You can also try to open the documents in TextEdit and NeoOffice or OpenOffice.
Farsi being written right to left has problems in both Pages and Word 2004 for Mac. It may work in TextEdit or NeoOffice or OpenOffice.
It has been claimed that the best Mac application for right-to-left scripts is Mellel. You may want to have a look at that one too.

  • Are There Any Farsi Fonts That Work On Macs?

Any Farsi/Iranian fonts that you guys know work on a Mac. They're not as popular as Windows here, which is stupid, so I've had a hard time finding any.

Farsi, if memory serves, was supported in WorldScript in around 1990. I am not sure if you are looking for support for the specific style favoured by speakers of Farsi and Urdu, that is, Nastaliq, or if you are looking for support for the Farsi writing system within the Arabic script.
If you are looking for a Nastaliq, then this is supported in TrueType 2 / TrueType GX (: through cross-stream kerning), but there are no shipping Nastaliq fonts for TT2 as the number of ligatures makes this style of the Arabic expensive to design and develop. Monotype has updated its Nastaliq, introduced in 1981, which is now available in OpenType.
If you are looking for support for the Farsi writing system, then begin by opening System Preferences in Mac OS X 10.4 or higher, then opening International, and in the Input Menu select Persion. There are several TrueType 2 fonts for the Arabic script in Mac OS X, and they should work for you although they are in the Naskh style.
Below on Persian language support in Mac OS 9 which includes several fonts. One, if I remember rightly, is Mashad. These fonts should still work, although I am not sure:
TITLE: Mac OS 9: About Persian Language Support
    Article ID: 60467

TOPIC: This article contains the Read Me document for the Persian Language Support feature of Mac OS 9. The Persian Language Kit Support disk image is included on the Mac OS 9 disc in the CD Extras folder, in the Language Kit CD Extras Folder.
Note: The Persian Language Kit requires a component of Mac OS called WorldScript I. The Read Me
below does not mention this. Before following the installation steps provided below, use the Custom
Install feature of your Mac OS 9 install CD to install WorldScript I. Select Customized Installation for

  • Arabic / Hindi digits problem with Myriad Arabic font

    Hi,
In Indesign Middle Eastern version we have the option to change the digits (numerals) between Arabic and Hindi (1234/١٢٣٤).
I having a problem with flipping the digits to Arabic (Latin typface) instead of Hindi (Arabic typface) when typing using Arabic input language in my keyboard.
The feature works when you type using English as an input language but as soon as you change your input language to Arabic the numbers are typed in Hindi digits and the feature of changing them to Arabic digits (Latin typface) doesn't work.
I'm using "Arabic Myriad" font for my project but I tested "Adobe Arabic" font too and both have the same problem, I'm not sure if the problem is from Indesign or in the fonts?!
    Any help is appreciated

but as soon as you change your input language to Arabic the numbers are typed in Hindi digits and the feature of changing them to Arabic digits (Latin typface) doesn't work.
    Which "feature of changing them"?
If I use the numeric keypad and the English keyboard, the digits keyed respect the language setting of the text in ID. If I use the numeric keypad and the Arabic keyboard... the digits respect the language setting of the text in ID. If I use the flyout from the Character panel to change to Arabic numerals, or Hindi numerals, or Farsi numerals, then all of the numerals change accordingly, no matter what language setting I use. Were you already aware that language is a character-level formatting quality in ID?
My hunch is that you're not changing the Language setting of the text. If I'm wrong: does it happen in all files? Only new files? Only one file? Also, which platform are you using? Windows or Mac? Which version?
