Problem in personalization..urgent

Hi.
Am trying to add a field to the existing page.
I have set the VO and the attribute value to the created item.
Can somebody guide me what to do next.
i want the steps involved next in detail please so that i can populate the VO attribute value into the newly created item.
its a bit urgent.

hi mani, thanks for the reply.
Actually i refered the document u asked me but when ever i add a text field and comeout of personalization to the main menu and try to goto the page which i personalized, its throws an error refering the new field i have created.
What to do for now?
IN the properties of the personalizatio, i have given assigned the VO name and the attribute name to the textfield properties.
please guide me

Triggers problem - please help - urgent !!

Using Oracle 8 Rel 8.0.6
I have 2 tables (table Y, table Z).
In the 'after insert upd del on each row trigger' (lets call it
AIUD trigger)on table Y, based on certain criteria, I insert a
record in table Z.
New requirement is that whenever a record is inserted in table Z
(fyi, inserting any record in table Z is possible only when
records are inserted in table Y as mentioned earlier thro the
AIUD trigger - i.e. there is no frontend way to insert records
in table Z), if certain (new) criteria is satisfied, I should
insert 1 record in both, table Y and table Z.
I tried to create meet the new requirement by adding code to
existing AIUD trigger but ran into mutating tables error. So I
dropped this idea.
I have now created 'after insert on each row trigger' (lets call
it NEW_TRIGGER) on table Z to meet the new requirement but have
these 2 problems :
1) the trigger always compiles with errors
2) if I still go ahead and insert a record in table Y, I get the
foll error msgs :
ORA 4098 - NEW_TRIGGER is inv
ORA 6512 at line xxx on AIUD
ORA 4088 error during execution of trigger AIUD
What is the best way to work on this requirement or what am I
doing wrong ?

Your restatement of the problem merely confirms what the previous
posting said. You cannot write a trigger on table Y that inserts
a record into table Y: that's the mutating trigger problem
(there's oodles of postings on the subject, not to mention
online Oracle docs). You could write a trigger on table Z that
inserts into table Y - but you need to be able to see the value
I3 which (presumeable) you can't.
One solution is to use code the trigger on table Y to submit a
call to DBMS_JOB which initiates a procedure that inserts a
record into table Y.
You must remember that the new record in table Y must never
include the value I3, otherwise you'll end up w/ an infinite
loop.

Problem with spreads - urgent!

My problem here is that when I want to print my 18-page document, InDesign have decided to make these 18 pages in to 10 spreads.
The result of that is the printer printing 2 pages in one page, in stead of what I want; 1 page on 1 page, thank you!
I have tried to make a new document with the same amount of pages and so on, but it still won't work.
How do I turn it off? Please help me, it's for school and kind of urgent...

I am having a similar problem. I am using CS5 and am making a portfolio, for online submission. I want the portfolio to be viewed online as spreads, but be printed out as 8.5 x 11's. This is because I am not in charge of printing out the document, I have to give it over to someone else as a part of an application. I have tried all the ways suggested in this thread, but have not been able to achieve my goals. I feel like perhaps this is something that needs to happen at the level of the PDF in a program like Acrobat if it is possible?

Performance problem with Personalizations

We are doing iProcurement customizations on 11.5.10 instance. We are done with our personalization and extensions with iProc module. Majority of which are personalization and 8-9 are extension which requires hardly 2-3 lines of code changes. We deployed our all customizations but after that we are facing major performance problem. In Checkout page of iProc module after clicking Next button, it almost takes 7-8 minutes. In the same way on Submit and Review page, after submitting requisition it takes almost 8-9 minutes.
I checked the OAF personalization guide and it has mentioned that Personalization will not affect performance. And about Extension, we just replaced changed class files and one substituted VO and imported JPX file to 11.5.10 instance.
Can anyone please suggest any workaround or any more things to work on or any patch to apply or any setting to improve performance? That will be great help for us because we are really facing performance problem on high priority.

Problem 3G help urgent

My carrier says its not their problem so i'm stuck using a fix i found on another thread;

Carrier;
Automatic off, 5 sec;
Automatic on, untill you get your carrier back;
Automatic off, pick your carrier manually, then you should have 3G.
Works almost every time, Crazy!!!

In sldapicust transaction, i have assigned PIAPPLUSER user and set the password. But i do not see this user in SU01 transaction. It says this user does not exist. Is that ok?
Moreover, when i try to login to http://<host>:<port>/sld with PIAPPLUSER user, it says, I do not have permission to view the SLD. Minimum required: UME role with permission com.sap.lcr.LcrUser and J2EE role LcrUser.

Problem with personalize link in masterhead

Hi All,
I need to activate the personalize link in the masterhead of my theme.
I had tried doing it from my masterhead iview properties "Show Link in Masterhead: Personalize" to "Yes". But, could not succeed. The link does not displayed.
Even, i tried with assinging eu_role to my user. Still not showing.
and i can view the link in default theme.
What might be the problem with my theme...
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Sunil ,
I guess u r checking the wrong masthead iview. Just open u r desktop on which u want to see the personalize option.
Now it would contain a default page and theme , Open tht page and check it would contain a masthead iview . Select it and check the property window of this ivew . Now Check for the "Show Link in Masterhead: Personalize" property.
Please set it to Yes.

I am doing a personalization on Control Block Button. But the cursor is not navigate through Tab or Enter and there is no WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE trigger applied on that Buttons.
how can i do the personalization?
i mean If there is no WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE then how to personalize on that item??

Problem on personalization for information space

HI all,
Environment:
BO BI - Explorer 4.1 SP3/SP4
IE 11, Firefox 31
Java 1.7 update 51/67
I have done a personalization for my information space and now i can't delete it. I just join two universes (.unv) on my information space with some facet filter.
When i try to reset all the modification, and uncheck the personalization i can't save the information space.
You will see below two screenshots which describe the problem.
The two universes are link by the year and it works.
Even if the OK is active i can't click on it.

The way this was solved was, I created 4 new explorer services in CMC.
1- Explorer Exploration Server
2- Explorer Indexing Server
3- Explorer Master Server
4- Explorer Search Server
After creating the new ones and running them, I deleted the old ones. Then I Indexed the Information Space and everything seemed fine.

Log4j problem ---- VERY VERY URGENT PLEASE

I am new to log4j. In my project( web application -- a testing framework ), there is a requirement to log the errors in a different filres for different requests ( the request may come simultaneously ) , by taking the log file path from the user interface.
To achive the requirement , I am taking both the log file name and log4j.xml file path from the user interface and updating the log4j.xml at runtime, So I am able to log for different requst in different files , but while the 2nd log4j.xml ( the log4j.xml for 2nd request ) is configured ( using DOMConfigurator.configure ) , the errors which are belongs to 1st request are also wrriten in the 2nd log file ( which is configured by log4j.xml -- 2n request ) .
Please help me to find out the solution for this problem( to log in different files for different request distinctly ).

JCheckBox rollback problem.. Urgent

Hi All,
I hv 2 JChkbox and 2JTextField. I want the prev state of the JCheckBox when the cancel button is clicked.
Ex:
I hv Maximum value and Minimumvalue checkboxes.
When the checkbox is not selected I'm enabling the corresponding textboxes.
The problem is, When i open my panel and the Chk boxes is selected and i deselect both the chkboxes. I enter min valu = 10 and max val = 5 and i click the cancel button. Now when i click the cancel the chkboxes sh go to prev state as they are when the panel is opened.
Is there any way to trace it out or any methods to it.
Kindly help me. As it is very Urgent.

Isn't it a simple matter of remembering the state of the check boxes etc (in other words their 'model' data) when the dialog is popped up and then restoring them to that state if cancel is pressed?
