Problem in Pointbase databse version update during JES 2005Q4 Installation

I am installing JES 2005Q4 on Solaris 10
During component selection under Sun Java System Aplication Server Enterprise Edtion 8.1, subcomponents Pointbase Database and Sample Applications are in conflict with the version.
Please let me know if there is any suggestion in that line

Is this first time you are attempting to install application server? or Do you have any installation on the system from prior versions?
This normally happens when the prior version of components or any incomplete installatation are found on the system.
You can run the uninstaller from '/var/sadm/prod/SUNWentsys4' to clean up any partial / incomplete installations from the system. (In case, You've attempted to install something before).

    I am trying to add SAS driver during Solaris 10 installation. I selected option "Apply device driver update" (option # 4). It is asking to insert driver disk. But only showing floppy (f) and cdrom (c).
    IBM server 3550 doesnt have floppy drive and I have the driver image only in a USB stick. Unfortunately, Solaris 10 installation is not showing usb device during driver installation.
    Is there any way we can add usb device to the driver update disk list??

  • Map version update during Jan 13 ?

    Hi all
    I use maps on my 5800XM (I have v3.06 11wk10b01), and periodically check for updates using the in-app "Check for updates" button. I recall updating the map version some time last year, but since then every time I try it says I already have the latest version (can't remember what no. that was). When I try now, it says I have the latest version (00.02.46.103) but quotes a release date of 9/1/2013. Now, last time I updated it took around two hours of faffing around, and I certainly did not do that during January. Was there some kind of "silent update" ? If so it's not a good update because I can easily find bits of map that are several years out of date. Or has something gone wrong, and it thinks it's updated itself but hasn't really ? How do I find out whether I've got the latest version if I can't trust the "Check for Updates" facility ?

    Actually an update was released sometimes during December, 2012 which was version 00.02.47.103. But there was a major issue with that update as Offline Navigation was not possible. Nokia released another ROLL-BACK update (v 00.02.46.103) on 09.01.2013 which is the same as one released in May, 2012 ..so you may not find any changes from what you already had.

    Recently, I updated B.Objects XI R2 from SP2 to SP5 and I stumbled with some problems. The biggest one is that the SQL View inside SQL Editor doesn't show GROUP BY statement when Autogenerated SQL radio button is activated. For example:

    With this problem I have incongruities in my new reports, but it's odd that reports made with SP2 maintain the same old structure with SP5.
    A solution is to check "personalize SQL" radio button, but I can't use it because my client demands it. So, does anyone know why B.O. does this? Even more, does anyone know a trick or a way to solve this problem?

    Hi,
    Is this problem for only one report or no.of reports. If it is for a no. of reports  then the universe on which these reports are bulid i.e in universe parameters -> options (last tab) -> there some parameters related to grouby clause
    Try to enable them and check it reporting level.

    When I start the installation it is not copying any files to any folder. On the screen only this message showing:

    and after the installation I am checking the folders but there is no file copied under appserver, dssetup , or any other thing all of them empty. How can I fix this problem. I have downloaded this file PS7.0Installer_Linux (475 mb). I have unzipped and there is installer. I have run it like this ./installer . And I have selected portal server and enterprise aplication server. I have made configuration on setup. But there is no file copied? What I have to do? my os is
    "Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 1)"

    And where did you look? Normally it'll put this stuff under /opt.

  • My current version is Adobe After Effects CS6 11.0.3. It's problem is I can't update 13.02 version

    I have a problem with After Effect version update because when I saved my After Effect project file at my Mac laptop, After Effect Verison was 11.0.3. So When I went to Mac desktop in edit suite room in University and tried open my project on the Mac desktop. The message pop out and said this project must be converted from version 11.0.3 (Macintosh 64). The original file will be unchanged.  So Mac desktop have After Effect's version is 13.02 and I can't update my Mac laptop because I can' find After Effect 13.0.2 update file anywhere in the internet.  so Can you help me to solve this problem, please because I will hand in my university assignment next month.

    Until your project is finished, you can ONLY work on it using your laptop.  Don't try to work on it using a different machine.
    Unless you RENT CS6 -- that is, you didn't purchase it, but pay a monthly fee to use it -- you won't have acess to 13.0.2.
    This isn't a simple update -- this is installing a new VERSION of the software, and beginning with version 12, the software is rented.
    So get your project done on your own machine, then worry about whether or not you should incur a monthly expense to have the latest version of AE.  Don't change horses in mid-stream!
    Now, there IS a way to work on both your laptop and that other machine, but it is downright messy!  It also involves having access to AE Creative Cloud (aka Version 12) on that machine -- so until you can confirm that fact, I'm not even going to describe the messy process.
    I stick to my original advice -- keep the project on the laptop unless you enjoy missing deadlines.  Or due dates.

    I have my application installed on few systems using webstart. All the jars(including third party are signed by my certificate).
    After that, during an update, I signed all the jars using a new certificate.
    I have placed new jars in the cache server(Tomcat 5.0) and started it.
    Now I made necessary version changes in the JNLP file(while the server is running).
    When I started application on client machines, it tried to bring get the jars of updated version.

    I have JRE 1.5.0_14 in the client machine.
    Once this exception comes, no matter how many times I tried to relaunch the application same exception (cannot verify signature block is shown. Once i restart the server, its working fine.
    Regarding jardiff, Yes. we use it.
    Also, this exception is not shown on every machine which are trying to download same update. Only on few..
    Any idea regarding this, please share it.

  • Automatic version update - some problems

    on SQLD startup (1184) info about new updates has appeared.
    After dowloading and installing (check for updates dialog) I was prompted to restart SQLD. After restart I looked in About/extensions (see below), all components seem to be 1.3 and up.
    Then I have just for quriosity started "check for updates" once more and it found 3 more updates (while they were already installed), I have installed them, then repeat the cycle - seems that these 3 updates will be shown as new available updates forever.

    8) After that - all my connections ar gone (oh, the pain...), and help/about shows that I'm still using version 1.0.0.11.84 / Build-MAIN-11.84
    Environment - Windows 2k, some connections to multiple databases were open.
    9) I tried automatic update again, using the same scenario (update only SQL Developer) but this time it shows that no updates ar available.
    EDIT:
    BUT the closing bug seems to be gone, something must have happened.

    iPhoto 9.3 requires OS X 10.7.4 now. You can use your actual version of iPhoto or upgrade to Lion (or wait to Mountain Lion)

    Where are you and where did you get the phone? All iPhones come with a 1 year warranty from the original date of sale.
    Make an appointment at the genius bar of your local Apple Store and take it in for them to have a look at.

    Move or Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer or the backup of the old computer to the new computer.

    You may take a look into the upgrade log file:
    C:Program FilesSAPSAP Business OneLog directory,
    filename should be
    B1UpgradePid[xxxx]_[YYYMMHH.....].txt
    You can find information inside !
    If the upgrade failed, please check this file, look for notes, or report the issue to GSC.
