Problem in Print Out of ALV report

Dear All..
I am trying to take print out of an ALV report. there are 36 columns in my report. when i try to take print out, warning appears which says system cannot print the last 277 columns of report.
i have tried using different formats for printer like :
Format                  Description

but every time the same message appears even on A3 size paper..
i am using REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY to display ALV.
Please help to to take out prints(can be in condensed mode) so that all columns appear on the print out..

Dear all,
I have encountered the following message when I tried to print out SAP Crystal Report at client pc:
Could not load file or assembly 'CrystalDecision.Windows.Forms, Version = 12.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, Publickey Token=692fbea5521e1304' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
On the other hand, there's no error when I print out the SAP Crystal Report on server.
Can anyone advice on the error message as above?

Problem in print out of Dynamic ALV

Hi ,
I am using dynamic ALV to address a requirement. The ALV is working fine and the output is also coming corretly, even in spool.
But if the width of dynamic table exceeds a limit, then nothing is coming in the print out.
If anyone has faced similar problem or knows how to tackle this problem, please advise what can be done here.

Problem with Page Break In ALV Report

Hi
I have got a problem in my ALV report. I have a checkbox in the user input screen where users decide whether they want a page break or not in the print preview (or print) page. Now i also have the option to have layout name in the input screen. so If i leave the layout box empty the check or not check of page break works fine. but if use a save layout name in the layout box the add check box doesn't work anymore. If i have a layout name in the layout box it doesn't matter whether i have checked for page break or not it does the same thing.(in one report it always puts the page breaked)
Any ideas where to look for the error?
here is the code for the page break. Opt5 is the check box.

Never mind it was acting like the page break was not working because the layout was saved with the page break on/OFF.

Printing logo in ALV report

Hi,
I've created an ALV report with a logo in the header.
But, when i'm taking the printout ,the logo is not printed.
How to solve this problem,..please help me .

It is not possible to Print the logo, which you are showing in ALV Grid.
But you have to work with Cl_DD_DOCUMENT class
Check this program DD_ADD_PICTURE, Here you can print the logo.the same you can try to implement if you want.

Overlapping of Columns in the Print Preview of ALV Report

Hi ,
I have created a ALV report which has 62 columns, when i see the print preview, the rows overlaps one another. I want a printout where no line items or rows should overlap each other. Never mind if the extra overlapped columns get truncated. Kindly help me to solve this problem.

Data missing when Exporting or print preview from ALV report

I have a alv report which is showing fine but when i try to export it to say excel sheet or do print preview some of the data is missing. Can anyone tell me how to fix this. or at least point to some document that discuss this problem.

When you export to excel, the character fields and numeric columns gets re-arranged, but all the fields will be displayed in this case.

Enhancing print functionality for ALV report

Our client requires a special Print at click button in few reports and screens in such a way that there is no effort in setting page sizes etc.
For one particular report, there are many columns. When I try to use List -> Print, only first few columns are printed. I want that all the columns are printed in landscape manner in different pages and the first column is repeated in both pages (it is frozen in report).
How to make these happen?

You can try following steps,
1) Goto transaction SPAD and create Page formate according to your requirement.
2) Create format and copy action from standard format.
3) create device type
4) assign that device type to custamize output type.
When ever you take print out of that ALV use your custamize Output Type

Error in print preview in ALV report

I have developed a ALV report. It is displaying all data properly. The problem is...
When I am pressing the print preview button... it is getting dump.
The dump short message is....... "Field symbol has not yet been assigned".

Print settings for ALV report

I have a ALV report output with LINE-SIZE 1023. But when I try to execute the report in background the output row is not coming in one line but in 2 lines. When we run the report in background I gave the printer as 'LOCL' (local) and displayed in spool. In the PRINT SETTINGS I don't see FORMAT for 65 X 1023. Do I need to create one? If yes, how to create it? Or if there is any other way go get all the cloumns in one row of a ALV output.

Change the font on the X_65_255 paper size :-
This tip was taken from the SAP-R3 mailing list, and is by Sheila Tichener.
If you need to use a large line-size to get all your data in I know the sap version of X_65_255 for hp laser jet 4 gives an unnecessarily small font . You can change it in SPAD (or copy to Y_65_255) as follows.
Example:
Choose Device formats, Change
hplj4
x_65_255
Execute
Double click on printer initialisation
Change from:-
# select Courier 16.67 CPI normal font
e(s0p16.67h0s0b4099T
to:-
# select arial 24 cpi 15 point normal
e(s0p24h15v0s0b16602T
Also bold as follows:-
# select arial 24 cpi 15 point bold

Also the error you get when changing a format in the output screen is only a warning and can be overidden by pressing the green tick.
If the sap standard formats don't fit your requirements you can create your own eg Y_65_170 . It seems to be the numbers in the name that somehow triggers which one the abap chooses

Problem in Auto Mail of ALV Report : Urgent

Hello All ,
I have created one ALV Report contain 240 Columns . This report is need to schedule for auto mail in HTML Format.
My Problem is when I am sending this report manually the html output displays all the columns in the mail attachment. While it is scheduled thro' SM36 in background mode the HTML format displays only restricted columns (say upto 132 columns)
Also, we have tried to create new page format X_65_512/2 to accomodate the output. However this option did not work.
Any solution to resolve the same is most welcome !

This problem was not resolved. I tried few things but not good. So what we did we created a few profile like MM/SD/FICA and we executed report based on profile and sent them only the column relevant to them.

Problem with subtotal calculation in ALV reports

 I am doing one program for calculating subtoals in ALV . For this i want to display subtotal text at each envey subtotal 's row.
For that i have created one form 'SUB_SUBTOT_TEXT' and it has given to IT_EVENTS-FORM. But SUB_SUBTOT_TEXT Form is not called by IT_EVENTS event.
what are all the mandatories for displaying subtotal text.
