Problem in publishing Captivate 3 trial version

I have created a online demo using captivate3 trial version and am trying to publish the same, but it doesnt happen. Kindly someone help me out in this.

Could you please be more specific? How did you publish: to SWF (with HTML) or to EXE?

  • Publishing with a trial version

    I was using the trial version of Captivate 6 for a while, and I'm now seeing published files that won't display - just a black bar in the middle of the screen with a Captivate logo.
    Is this because I was publishing from the trial version?  I've republished some of the files in the licensed version of V6 that I now have, and they seem to be fine.
    Does anybody know what's going on?

    We started out testing Captivate in our project this summer with our small staff and we are hitting the same wall. We bought license all the way around for everyone, but with assuming the trial was a full working version and no warning that we would need to republish we are scrambling to back track to figure out what ones need to be republished. One is further ahead in the process than the rest of us and even projects that she has made since getting the full version are showing up as expired. Arggg.
    I have had 2 weeks of dawn to midnight, 7 day work week hours to work in enrollments for the upcoming school year, so I haven't even had time to start looking at mine until this evening. I had a massive build intensive during the time of the trial because that was when I would hev the best chunk of time to work on my new materials for this year's classes. I have done a hard drive search and found I have 136 Captivate files. Now I am going to try to figure out what dates I was using the trial version so I can narrrow that number down. I am tired and frustrated that instead of getting a much needed rest this weekend I will be republishing and re-uploading files to the LMS.
    I don't have a problem with crippling the output, but with that there needs to be a warning so you will know to track your projects to make it easy to find the ones that need to be republished and you will know not to distribute them. I shared my projects that I built widely including at the Adobe Educator's Forum so I don't even know who downloaded those that may be counting on them working in their classes.
    About a week ago, just before all this came to light, I had downloaded the eLEarning Suite with the intention to trail the features in it to see if I may want the full suite license. I hadn't had time yet to install it, but I was hoping to have time after the enrollments butbefore classes started up. I think I will wait because I don't want to risk the trail version from that messing up the output from my fully licensed Captivate 6 copy that isn't a part of the suite. If I activate the suite, wouldn't I end up not having trully working output again because of the expiration setup? I cannot risk making SCORMs for my students that will expire with half of the class having test results and the other half still needing to take it. If I have to republish and reupload, I will lose student data from students that have already taken it. To my mind, crippled output causes more frustration than what Adobe Captivate meant to have in this expiration date design for their trail.
    Looks like I will try out the eLearning Suite when school is out next summer instead of the fun I was anticipating in trying it out in the week or two before classes begin.

  • Why doesn't Captivate 7 (trial version) open on my Mac after installation?

    I have installed Captivate 7 trial version. I double click the icon to launch, however nothing. I have restarted, and same thing. I did read something about launching from Flash drives, however I did not read further, as I intended to fully install on my MacBook Pro. It has an SSD. Is this the problem?
    I know this is a product I will buy, however I wanted to run through some tutorials first. Not much point in buying if it won't run on my hardware.
    Any help or suggestions appreciated.

  • Captivate 6 Trial Version Background Issue

    Hi All,
    I upgraded to Captivate 6 Trial Version yesterday from Captivate 5 (while they sort out the purchasing of 6) because I wanted to take advantage of the Table of Contents features in the newer versions. I had created and published a screen capture with audio (about 130 slides; the CPTX is 154 MB; Windows 7 machine). It was perfect when published as an SWF with Captivate 5. Now that I have re-published it in 6 (several times) as an SWF, it is mangling the slide backgrounds on slides that have Typing Text or the Mouse selecting a checkbox. It appears to randomly insert the background from the first slide of the file and sometimes confuses and/or overlaps other background images.
    Any ideas?

    Since your main master slide is blank, you could have activated the 'User Master Slide Background', and this can be done with all slides selected at once (use CTRL-A in the Filmstrip). Would also have been possible (selecting all) for deselecting Project background. But that means that you have that background as a Project background, which seems very strange...

  • Captivate 6 Trial Version

    I had created/published a project in Captivate 6 trial version. Now the published file doesnot launch, it displays a expired message. The .cptx file still works the same though.
    I just wanted to know, if this is a bug or it is designed to be expired after the trial version gets expired????

    This is now a well-known issue.  A project created with a Trial version of Captivate 6 WILL expire, just as the trial will also expire.
    You need to open the project file in a fully licensed version of Captivate 6, go to Edit > Preferences > Project > Start and End, find the checkbox there for the expiry, and deselect it.  Then republish and deploy the project again.

    The text to speech functionality in Captivate only supports English at this moment.  More languages will come later but I don't know when Japanese will be available.

  • Adobe captivate 4, (Trial Version)

    I'm trying to install Captivate 4 (trial Version) and its stuck on "Adobe Captivate 4 Installer: Initialization 90%" At the bottom it says; "Checking System profile"
    I have tried most of the suggestions on the support page to no avail. Please help.

    Sorry for not answering over in the Forum Comments area. Many of the folks there are just plain rude with misdirected posts. It would have seemed simpler to have just moved your post where it should be, but I didn't wish to cause another blamestorm and confusion for folks that should know better. Thanks for understanding.
    Have you tried disconnecting from a network? I've seen reports of users that have issues trying to install while connected to the LAN. That one should be easy to try.
    You may also need to try installing after creating a new user profile.

  • Problems installing Captivate 3 Trial Version

    Hi all,
    Im experiencing a problem with the trial version of Captivate
    3 - i install it and run it for the first time, and when i select
    the trial option, the following error comes up -
    "A problem was encountered while trying to load the trial
    period for Adobe Captivate 3.
    Click Quit to see if restarting your computer or
    re-installing the software fixes the problem. Otherwise, click
    Continue to display a screen where you can enter a valid serial
    number to begin using the product without trial."
    On clicking continue, it throws me back to the previous
    screen, greying out the trial version option.
    I reinstalled and restarted, and the problem persists. Any
    ideas?

    The first thing I would do is to make sure that you have
    disabled any anti-virus software you may have running in the
    background. If you still encounter the same error message then I
    would recommend you contact an Adobe Representative in your local

  • Can't able to open CP (ver 5) file in Captivate 7(trial version)

    I have .cp files, I think those files are from Adobe Captivate 5.0 or 5.5 version. I downloaded trial version of Adobe Captivate but those files are not opening in 7.  Is there any way I can able to open.
    While opening .cp file, its giving error like below screen. Can anyone able to guide to open file in captivate 7?? or any converter avaialble?
    also, I seen some forums where it says there may be hidden file but I didn't get it.

    Only way is to try to get somewhere a copy of 5.5, as an intermediary step. And even then, converting a cp to cptx will need a lot more work. The remake was very drastic, text may shift or change fonts, you have to be sure that everything was AS3 (because CP4 still allowed AS2), question slides, animations will almost certainly cause problems. I really don't know about another way, sorry. After all we are talking about a time lag of more than 4 years, 4 versions (5, 5.5, 6, 6.1) have come and gone since, which is very long in software land

  • I am having trouble getting buttons to work in Captivate 8 trial version using a responsive design template. Any suggestions?

    I have a trial version of Captivate 8 that I am evaluating to determine if it will be an option to replace a software we currently use. However I am having a lot of trouble getting even the simplest of tasks to work using the responsive design template. To troubleshoot I created 2 projects 1st a completed empty project using responsive design and a 2nd blank project using the blank project template. I created an audio file that the button, when pressed, will play. I can place a button on first slide of both projects, rollovers work fine, but in the responsive design project buttons will not work to trigger the action. Is this a known issue in the trial version?

    A Blank project is a normal cptx-project, not a responsive project, it has no breakpoint views like a responsive project, it is meant to have always the same layout but on publishing you can choose to have it 'rescale' automatically.  A responsive project allows you to create slightly different layouts for the three breakpoint views: Primary (desktop/laptop/landscape on tablets), Tablet (portrait on tablet) and mobile (phones, where the browser has much lower resolution than the real phone resolution). The 'look' of a project, whether it is responsive or not will be defined by the Theme that is the default theme at that moment, and with the default theme colors that you have at that moment. I think in newbie mode the default theme is White (not sure, never used newbie mode). If you choose another theme as default theme, a blank project and a responsive project will open with that theme applied to it. All themes coming with CP8 are responsive, but you can use them also for normal projects, in that case you only use the object styles for Primary view. Each object style normally has 3 versions, for the 3 breakpoint views.

    Hello Sharon,
    I don't know this book you've mentioned, but perhaps it's the same trail version as you can download from SAP.
    To uninstall it please go through the steps provided in the first part of the following site --> link
    Then try to delete the D:SAPNSP-folder again.
    Also please check your services-file under C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetc that there aren't any entries like NSP left.

  • Problems starting SAP NetWeaver AS Trial Version

    Here is the summary of problem that I am facing starting SAP Netweaver AS Trial Version (post suucessful installation). I am mentioning successful installation is because on the day of the installation, I could start the NetWeaver AS Server and login using user BCUSER and go into SE80 (Object Navigator). The trouble started appearing thereafter.
    Here is the summary -
    When I dont have MS loopback Adapter activated on my Laptop, I get the following in SAP MMC
    The dispatcher process thread begins but haves a status - cannot connect to the message server
    When I install and activate MS loopback Adapter on my Laptop, I get the following in SAP MMC
    The Message Server and Dispatcher Starts Off, After a while (a minute), Dispatcher status turns to Message Server COnnection OK, Dialog Queue Time 0:00, after a While (a minute), it gives a message and stops. After this point Message Server is shown as running and Dispatcher is stopped.

    Thanks for the reply. I checked NETSTAT command and none of the known ports used by SAP is occupied on my laptop.
    Also, when I use NIPING - it gies me a familiar message WASNOTREACHED...

  • Creating a website and publishing it with trial version of DW CC (Was:'Dreamweaver CC 2014?')

    Hey guys i am taking an elective class in school named "Web Page Design", and we are using Dreamweaver. I first hated the class and now love it. The only reason i took the class is because my parents own there own business, and i want to surprise them by, making a website for their business. I only downloaded the free trial, but i am wondering how long is the trial, and how much does it cost for your own domain & to publish your website?     Each time you launch the software, there should be a countdown timer clearly showing you how many days are left for trialling the software.
