Problem in Publishing to INTERNAL site in se80

Hi All,
I have created an Internet Service in Se80. Now i need to publish it in INTERNAL site.
My problem is that INTERNAL is not available in the drop down list.
Utilities-> Settings->Under Tab "Internet Transaction Server" -> Publish " ON Selected Site".
What i need to do, In order to get that in the drop down list.
Thanks in advance.
Pradeep Alex Luke

Hi Pradeep,
It seems that you do not have a RFC Destination called "INTERNAL".
You should have such entry as Connection type = L (Logical Destination).
You may search for this entry in table RSEUMOD, field "ITS_RFCD".
I hope this helps.
Best regards,
Cristiano

We have an internal site that containts some amount of files (*.doc, *.xls and others). Site is a windows IIS web-server. Files renames to "copy" when downloading, just "copy" name, without extension. Other browsers (Chrome, IE, Safari, Opera) do not have such problem.

  • IWeb doesn't publish my entire site to a local folder!!!

    Hello everybody,
a few months now i have a problem on publishing my iweb sites to a local folder! For example i have a website that is 40 pages. When i press to publish it on a local folder, it starts publishing, and then i have "an unknown error occurred". When i check the folder, it has about 25-30 published pages and the others are missing. I tried with another site, that is about 10 pages and worked fine. But site with more pages have problem!
    Any suggestion?
    Thanks a lot!!!

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Launch the Console utility and see what, if any, messages regarding iWeb have been recorded. You might event watch it as you're trying to publish.
Also you can try the following:
    1 - close iWeb.
2 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
3 - go to your User/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete the contents.
4 - launch iWeb and see if there's any improvement.
    If that doesn't help continue:
5 - move the domain file from your User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
6 - launch iWeb, create a new test site and save.
7 - go to the your User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
8 - move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
9 - launch iWeb and try again.

  • DNS Setting for internal sites

    Hello -
I've had terrible problems with my internet connection recently. No internet connection = no DNS (using Google) and therefore I can't even access sites which are hosted within my own network.
Could anyone talk me through adding DNS references to internal sites on SLS ?
    My set up :
ADSL modem (bridge mode) into Airport Express which runs DHCP / NAT
SLS connected to Airport which has DNS server already running.
    changeip -checkhostname returns
    Primary address = 10.0.1.2
    Current HostName = xx.xxx.ltd.uk
DNS HostName = xx.xxx.ltd.uk (changed these entries)
The names match. There is nothing to change.
    dirserv:success = "success"
My domain name is registered with an external supplier - and set to point to my static IP address.
    Thanks for any help !
    Andrew

One thing that did help me though - and this may be obvious to you, but I had problems with Server admin crashing. Changing the DNS server in network preferences on the server itself and the client I was working on to a public DNS helped. Guess that should be pretty obvious though.
If things get wonky, I usually try to run Server Admin directly on the target server box.
Am I safe to reference the DNS server on the client now as dns.mydomain.com ? ie - if that is where the client is getting it's DNS references from, how does it know where dns.mydomain.com points to before it looks it up ?!
DNS servers are referenced by IP address, not by host name. Until the DNS server is available, the DNS names won't work; a bootstrapping problem.
As for testing the server, you can use the dig command to test.
    +dig @ip.addr.dns.server whatever+
Also - I am using an Airport Base Station for DHCP / NAT - but can't see how I can specify a DNS server so that all clients receive it automatically ? (This is fine for clients that don't leave the office, but a pain for laptops)
AirPort Utility > select target AirPort > Manual setup > Internet > DNS Servers

Updated to Adobe Muse 2014 this morning and have worked in it for the last 8 hours. Now when I try to publish the updated site to Business Catalyst for my client to preview it crashes everytime. I have tried just publishing altered files only, then tried the whole site again, and then tried publishing as a new site altogether. Thought I would then try to export as HTML in the hope of uploading the files via an FTP client and Muse crashes and locks up again. I am extremely stressed about this as I am in the last few days of of website I have been working on now with no issues since December. We are due to go live and my client needs to see it. I am desperate for an answer. It is not looking good. I am on an Apple Mac and have not had any isses publishing it for the last 6 months. Not very happy to say the least. Need desperate help.

Hi Zak, I got onto Adobe Customer Care Live Chat this morning and gave them the error message. After some trouble shooting with them it appears the older archived file of the site still publishes. I have now reverted back to the old file and copied and pasted out of the new file and from some ideas given to me by support I am now able to publish to Business Catalyst. It seems there was something corrupt within the new pages added yesterday. I have no idea if this would have still happened if I hadn't updated but I am glad it wasn't a Muse specific problem. I am loving using Muse and the support from Adobe has been excellent. Thanks everyone. By the way I do love the new version and apart from this hick up that lost me a few hours, aged me some more and gave me grey hair I really love Muse. Thanks again.

  • An error occurred while publishing file "/Web/Sites/iWeb/Jim and Steph's Si

I'm guessing this is a common message most see when they try to publish their website. Reason I say this, is it is the only message I have recieved in the last week when trying to use this faulty software.
Here it is again if you missed it:
An error occurred while publishing file “/Web/Sites/iWeb/Jim and Steph's Site/Jim's Blog”.
I got this MacBook week ago yesterday. Totally excited to share pictures and blog information. Spent 99 dollars or close to it for a mac account to simply share this information on the web. The first four pages (all pictures), I published worked well. Then I updated to iWeb 1.1.1 and tried to publish with blogs and more pictures and it won't work. Now all that I published before does not even come up. I emailed support here on mac.com and got the generic reply that I have already read on this forum. I tired as many fixes as I could to no avail. Two questions:
    1. Any ideas to fix this problem?
    2. Can you get your money back?
    Sorry this was so long.
    Thanks everyone,
    Jim B

    Jim...
Try doing a "Publish All to .Mac" if nothing else works for you. And if I could make a recommendation, it probably wouldn't be a bad thing to simplify your site name (Jim and Steph's Site) and eliminate the apostrophes (also in Jim's Blog). A longer site URL with complexities such as punctuation and spaces and even capitalization can potentially wreak havoc on your site navigation and function. Simplifying your site and page names will at the very least lead to shorter and more recognizable URLs...and when you start to add more pages it will also make the navigation menu at the top of your pages look "cleaner". Think simple names, like "oursite" and "HeSays" or "SheSays"
    Just a suggestion.

Which means that you are only considering half of the problem, but that's your choice.

  • Problems with the windows update site in 32-bit Vista Business

    Hi Everyone,
I am experiencing problems with the windows update site. As far as I know it shold make a link to the Windows Update module on-board and show the available updates after scanning. However, I get to the page that says "Checking if your computer has the latest version of Windows updating software for use with this website" and the next page I get is "The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view". The error number is 0x80070002. I go to the knowledge base and delete the content of the Data Store folder as advised, but to no use at all. Active X controls are enabled Java is working fine. I've cleaned the register and everything, did a complete scan with Onecare as advised by Microsoft, which did not find anything but again the same error message. I am using KIS 2009 and I am sure I have no viruses or any other malware. I even tried to go to the update site with the KIS switched off but to no avail too. On the other hand I don't have problems with the automtic updates and when I run a manual update from the Update module everything is OK. Do you have any suggestion as to what might be the issue with the website updates?
    P.S. I am using 32-bit Windows Vista Business on a Lenovo W500.

  • Can't publish my iWeb site - has index file something to do with it?

Hi, I've been trying to publish my iWeb site (not on a .Mac account but through ftp upload) but it hasn't worked out so far... I phoned my webspace provider's support service and the wguy I spoke to was convinced that it's due to the index file not being an .html file (he thought that the problem lies with the index.xml.gz file). Searching the discussions on this site, I figure that this isn't what's causing the problem after all...
To continue working on the site while using another computer, I copied the 'Domain' over. Now that I've brought it back to the original computer, it seems to be causing these problems. Any idas what I could do or where the problem lies? I'd be really grateful for any hints as it's driving me 'round the bend! Cheers, A

Did you name any of your site's pages "index"?  That can cause problems.
Are you able to publish your site to afolder on your hard drive and open it locally with your browser?  If you haven't tried  do so and see if you can.  If you can and the site works as you designed it then the issue is in the uploading of the files.
In that case you might try using  Cyberduck to upload your site folder and  index.html file to your server.

  • Compose/Edit Locally then publish to SharePoint Site

Sorry for the cross-posting ... This applies to both/either SP 2010 or 2013
    Here is our current process.
Our Technical Writer creates MSWord-document job-aids with headings, tables, lists and screenshots to show the steps to complete common procedures (e.g. How to fill out an expense report).  Screenshots are captured and altered using desktop software,
then pasted into the Word file.
The document is saved locally, converted to PDF and the PDF saved to a SharePoint Document Library
    Either:
Users visit our internal company SharePoint site Document Library and download the PDF Documents, or
We send out links to documents in newsletters, personal emails or Lync chats
In the past, these documents would have also been printed, bound together and used as part of training.  We are quickly progressing past that paradigm.  Our users are much more comfortable with accessing documentation online.  I want to get
out of the "PDF" and printing business all together.
We have looked into re-creating all of these job-aids in SharePoint's KnowledgeBase template but due to the significant number of screenshots that we employ having to save each screenshot separately, upload to a folder, then to embed in the Knowledgebase
template article is a significant increase in total effort.
Ultimately what I want is a solution where:
Our Technical Writer can create a procedure locally including cut/paste images
The procedure can be saved/published to our SharePoint site with images being named/saved/uploaded automatically
Users can search/browse/link to the procedure
If changes need to be made, the Technical writer can open it in the local application (return to Step 1).
Having some workflow (such as copy editing or manager approval stages), user ratings/comments, metadata/keywords, etc. would be icing on the cake.
In the "old days" I would be able to crack open Adobe Dreamweaver or MSFrontPage, set up a site template and do almost all of this except the images still had to be saved first -- but that was when there were a million variables in terms of the
webserver.  With a fully integrated Microsoft set of tools, I am hoping there is some combination of Sharepoint, Word, Sharepoint Designer and/or InfoPath that can meet my needs.
BTW, we are currently using SharePoint 2007, but will be upgrading to 2013 soon (OR I can migrate to SP2010 if it will work, too) -- which if I can find a workable solution, I can start budgeting my team's time for the migration to a new paradigm.  Thanks

lots of options here.  first, you could just use publishing and then the only thing standard users can view are published documents, whereas site owners can edit pages/documents and work with the unpublished draft and publish when wanted.
also, if you want to automate the word-pdf process, 2010/2013 have word automation service app.  the demo and code sample for using automation services is a snippet that does word-pdf conversions:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/ff181518(v=office.14).aspx
ideally, in 2013, you have cross site publishing abilities.  you could basically allow your writer to edit the list items in the source site and when published, they are presented in any way you like using display templates on the destination:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj635883(v=office.15).aspx
...realistically, for your current process, I think just enabling publishing would work for what you want.  sharepoint only indexes fully published content and users only see published content (unless they have perms ot edit it), so it should work great.
combined with word automation(requires 2010+, but the same code/config either way), you could keep the docs as pdfs for archival purposes if desired.  although sharepoint will keep previous versions if you want, so keeping the pdfs for archive isn't as
    necessary.

  • Issues with publishing my iWeb site to .MAC - Progress bar freezes at 100%

Well, as topic says, i'm having troubles publishing my iWeb site to .MAC now since upgrading to '08. The progress bar reaches full circle, but then nothing. Left it uploading to .Mac for well over 2 hours one time while out of the house...nada. Sometimes i get an error message, sometimes not and have to close iWeb while it's still publishing.
    Any feedback regarding this?
    Thanks in advance.
    /Rich

Update: After 36 hours, I have successfully managed to upload my entire website via the "Publish All to .Mac" option. I now have blue indicators on the left side of my iWeb program in place of those pesky red ones. How did I do it? Well, I'm not sure. But on my last attempt I looked at the problem from a different perspective, so I took an alternate approach. I had a feeling that I was experiencing a network timeout issue caused by a 3rd party software, so I created a Whitelist entry on my website filtering software that allows unlimited access to "idisk.mac.com";; and "web.mac.com";; domains. I've got two kids at home, so I'm running the free OpenDNS Dashboard service on my network which provides content filtering (blocks adult site, phishing site, etc..). I started using this service two weeks ago. My last website update was a week before that. I figured I had nothing to loose by trying. To my surprise, it worked. Now, it took almost two hours to publish, of which the pie indicator was in the  "filled" position for a nerve racking hour. To reconfirm,  I then made a minor change to one of the pages on my website and re-published. This time using the "Publish to .Mac" option in place of the ALL option and once again it worked. It took less than 5 minutes. Now, I'm not sure if this is a coincidence, maybe Apple fixed the problem, or maybe my website filtering service was causing some type of time out issue all along??  Don't know.. But at least for now, I'm a happy camper since I have my site up.
