Problem in re-setup of my yahoo account on E72

Hi,
I have been using the email messaging service (yahoo) for the last 3 months. Suddendly 3-4 days ago my device stopped receiving new messages in the inbox.
I logged onto the email.nokia website and re-registered by email address. However; every time i try to setup my email account on the E72 handset, it shows as if setup is complete but the mailbox does not reflect under the email or any other section. I have tried setting up the email account multiple times on the device with no success.
Please assist in troubleshooting this problem.

Yahoo account cannot be used for signing up for nokia Messaging using internet  explorer.
Yahoo account has to be added through the mobile only.
Try to delete all access points leaving behind only Service provider data plan.
Pull out the memory card.
now try to configure ........

    Mail has recently stopped working with my yahoo mail account. I've tried restarting the ipad and deleting the yahoo account, but neither has helped.  the error message says the user name or password aren't correct, but I've verified that my password is correct (both that I have it typed correctly and that it is correct). I can still check Yahoo thru the web, but it's not as convenient as the mail app is.  The odd thing is I have a Ymail account also (which is a yahoo product) and it is still working properly. Any way to troubleshoot this besides the usual advice of restarting the ipad and deleting the yahoo account and resetting it up?

  • CANNOT SETUP MAIL WITH YAHOO ACCOUNT

    I've tried over and over to try and setup my mail account on Mail and it always ends up saying that it it failed to login into the mail server "plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com." I retyped all the account information and double-checked to make sure the user name and password was correct but the same thing happened. I don't have a Yahoo Plus account, just a regular one so I tried putting in "pop.mail.yahoo.com and once again, no juice. May I please get some help with this??

    no one knew why i couldn't get my messages from the pop server at att/yahoo into my mail on my mac. there were no answered questions to the support topic why can i see mail activity....messages on the server, but not coming into the mail box? sending is fine, but for some reason, it suddenly stopped 3 days ago and for 3 days i searched for a fix. the only way i found this was a mail access error on the web mail thru att.yahoo where my messages showed up (they were also showing up on the i phone, not the mac)...had to verify the email....and while waiting, i found the att yahoo help page that cleared the whole problem
    not removing files and putting them back in while opening and shutting mac....all the ports and ssls were checked and correct
    apparently you have to clean your cache

  • TS3899 Problems sending mail on my iPad3 Yahoo! mail account

    I've had my Yahoo account setup on all of my iPad iterations and have had this iPad3 since they were released.  The mail has always worked fine...until today.  I'm able to send on my laptop without a problem but sending from my iPad today has been touch and go.  There are currently 3 emails in my Outbox with exclamation points next to them.  Just pulled down on the left side of the screen to refresh and they all were sent in less than 5 seconds.  What just happened?  Is it a device problem or server?  My wifi signal is fine because there seems to be no delay in receiving emails and my Safari works fine.  I did a speedtest.net run and it also agrees that the wifi is good.  Any ideas why today there is an outbox flow problem?

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
    Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • I am trying to setup a yahoo account on my 4s.  I am getting verification sent to yahoo account.  I won't verify on the iphone.

    I am having trouble setting up an additional yahoo account on my 4s.  I have one setup already and it works fine.  When I start setting up the account I put in the information and touch next it doesn't verify the account.  It gives me a pop up window that says verification sent to yahoo mail.

    Contact Microsoft. They provide support for their products. Or look at the Office for iPad support website.

  • Since I updated Firefox I have to constantly re log-in to my Yahoo account such as email. Every time I leave the page I have to log-in to get back into it. I also run OPERA and I do not have that problem with them. I stay logged in. Any suggestions?

    I have windows Vista and have the updated version of Firefox. I also can run OPERA and LUNASCAPE with no problems. When running Firefox I have to constant re log-in to my Yahoo account every time I leave the page. For example: I log in to check my email on Yahoo and then leave my email page. Then when I return to recheck my email I have to log in all over again. I can't stay logged in. If I run my OPERA browser I stay logged in for days without having to sign in all over again.

    Delete the account.
    Add the account back using the correct settings.

  • I need to reset my Apple ID (a Yahoo account). My problem is the Yahoo account is disabled and can't be recovered and I don't remember the answers to the security questions. How can I reset my password?

    I had to reset my IPhone device to the factory setting, but when I wanted to start using the IPhone, it requires the original Apple ID which I do not recall the password.   • I can't receive mail from my verizon/yahoo account on my imac running snow leopard.  I checked all settings with verizon but still have the problem

    My mail application on my imac will not download mail from my verizon/yahoo account.  I contacted verizon and confirmed my settings to be correct.  I don't get any error messages, I can send mail but I can't retrieve it from V/Y.  Connection doctor shows all connections with a green light.

    Outgoing Mail Server(SMTP):  smtp.verizon.net:your email [email protected]

    Tools menu > Account settings > server Setting
    Setting the retention there actually deletes stuff on the server.
    I like delete immediately.
    Point 2
    Thunderbird keeps track of where it is up to with the server using a file popstate.dat that is stored in your profile folder. If the file is damaged or not updated (usually the anti virus cut the connection to quickly) then the situation you see occurs as the "where we are upto" information is gone.
    Point 3
    Tools menu (alt+T) > Diskspace > provides further options for managing mail on the server (and in Thunderbird) including automatic aging.

    I have just created a new Yahoo account and want to send and receive e-mails with it through Outlook 2003; however every time it tries to send and receive, I get a message saying the POP3 server needs my password (which is already saved).  When I enter it, the message disappears and comes straight back up again.  I'm able to send but not receive mail through the Yahoo account.
    I also have an AOL account that I have been accessing via Outlook for several years, and this works fine.
    Any suggestions would be gratefully received, as I have spent hours trying different settings with no luck - thanks!

    I have a new mac book pro (new mac user also!). I cannot get the mail app to 'talk' to my yahoo account. My husbands works fine and we have exactly the same setup. His account works on his mac and on mine, my account works on neither!
    I can get my mail no problem on my iphone and on safari on my mac.

    Does your husband have a Yahoo Plus account? If you have a free Yahoo account, typically (unless they've changed something recently) you can't actually use the account through a mail program like Mail or Outlook. Details from Yahoo are here: http://overview.mail.yahoo.com/enhancements/mailplus

  • "Cannot Get Mail" When Checking Mail on Yahoo Account after 1.1.2 update

    I recently updated iPhone to 1.1.2 and now cannot get yahoo email. 1.1.1 worked fine. When I attempted to check for e-mail on iPhone it returns error "Cannot get mail: The user name or password for "imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com" is incorrect." I have checked my username and password and I am positive that it is correct. I just logged onto the yahoo mail website with the same username and password that I entered into my iPhone. BTW, I have only alphas for a password and I also tried updating my password online and then modifying the iPhone to match. It authenicates the password when updating the account but will receives the same error above when attempting to update e-mail. I just have the standard yahoo account which shouldn't matter because it is the one that i used on 1.1.1. I have tried everything i can think of and just cant seem to get it to work so I'm hoping someone here can help me out. Thanks

    I have a new iPhone with 1.1.2 and have this same problem. My Yahoo mail is set up correctly, and I can send mail from the mail client, which shows up when I check my 'sent' folder on yahoo using the browser interface from my computer.
    I can't check mail - I get the "The user name or password for "imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com" is incorrect. Since I can send email from the iphone, and then see what I sent on both my work email and in my 'sent' folder, it's not a user or pw setup problem.
    I tried turning it off and on and that didn't do it. I have a free yahoo account, so I believe I have to use the Y! option.
