Problem in REAL TIME loading

Hi Expert !
The problem is that the REAL TIME infopackage load 0 records.
I build a real time extractor in R3 based on a view (Fi table) .
In BW i created a dso DTP (DTP FOR REAL TIME) infopackage(Adapter: REAL TIME) .
the dtp and the infopackage are assign to DEAMON.
the problem is that 0 records load.
Whats the problem ?
Thanks in advance
Miki

Hi Miki,
I don't think you have any problem.
The data is being loaded into the infocube. When the number of records exceeds the threshhold value (normally 50000) the package will be closed and a new package will be available.
You could go to the infocube and right click -> Change real-time Load Behavior. Then select the first option. The system will then close the request and you can see that there is data in there. Don't forget to put back the option otherwise you can't get new data in.

  • How to avoid the transport request popup when changing real-time load behav

    Hello experts,
I'm often switching between the two loading mode, and I already worked in systems where I don't have the popup for transport request : (so I guess there is a possible tuning anywhere)
How to avoid the "asking for a transport request" popup in BW when changing real-time load behaviour of an infocube
Thanks in advance, I will save precious time
    Guillaume P.

    Hello Krishnan,
i tried to switch all object types from "not changeable" to "changeable original", but still get the popup when switching cube loading mode.
Do you know the particular object type to manage ?
    Hello Vishnu,
same thing, whatever the option is (switch on / off standard) I have the transport popup.
    Anyway thanks for your try.

  • Log for Change of Real-Time Load Behavior

    Hi experts,
is there a log for the change of the real-time load behavior?
I checked SLG1, but I did not find any object / subobject that seemed to be helpful.

    Firstly,
How are you changing the real-time load behavior, are you using any process chain variant,in that case you can look at the process chain log..

  • Problem with Real Time Data Acquisition

    Hello,
I tried to built a RDA data flow according to the SAP-Help and this blog (/people/kamaljeet.kharbanda/blog/2006/11/13/real-time-data-acquisition-bi2004s), but I ran into a problem. Everything seems to be fine, but even though the daemon is running no new data is added to the DSO. I'll explain in detail what steps I took and hope someone can pinpoint my error(s).
System is BW4 on SPS 17. My datasource as well as my DSObject are in the same system
1.) Created a transparent table with a timestamp-field for generic delta as a local object.
2.) Created a generic datasource from view/table (used the above table), marked it as realtime-enabled and used timestamp as delta-specific field.
3.) Replicated the metadata for my datasource and activated it.
4.) Created a Data Storage Object with infoobjects corresponding to the table fields
5.) Created a transformation between DataSource and DSO
6.) Created a DTP from Data Source to DSO. The type is realtime-DTP.
7.) Created an InfoPackage for Delta-Initial Load. Update mode: Initialize Delta Process -> Initialization with Data Transfer.
8.) Then I changed my DTP (step 6) to "normal DTP" and executed it. Then activated the data in the DSO. The datasets from the table (which i filled with an ABAP-program) were successfully loaded and activated. So now my DSO contains 5 datasets.
9.) Changed the DTP back to "realtime DTP"
10.) Created an InfoPackage for RDA. Adapter is set to "Realtime extraction from SAP System"
11.) Created a daemon, assigned the IP for RDA and the DTP to the daemon and started it up.
12.) Executed my ABAP program to added 3 datasets to the table which is used as a datasource.
So now in my source table there are 8 datasets, but the daemon won't load them. In my RDA-Monitor (trx rsrda) it shows my daemon, the assigned IP and the assigned DTP (status green). Under the IP there's one yellow request (that should be right according to the help), but unlike the picture in the blog (link see above) there's no request under the DTP.
Job overview (sm37) shows an active batch job and some jobs that are ready (every 10minutes a new batch starts and the old one is closed). the job log shows, that the daemon runs, but loads no data...
i think it might be a problem with the delta extraction somewhere, because the intial load works fine and there are no errors anywhere.
Edit: perhaps my settings in the data source unter tab: extraction are wrong?
Delta process: AIE After Images By Extractor (can't change that)
    Direct Access: Allowd
    real Time: Real-Time DA Supported
Adapter: realtime data extraction (also tried Access to SAP Data through Service API which seems senseless)
    Data Format: Fixed Lenght
Anyone can explain what those fileds mean and which one i should use?

Hi again, another thing i'd like to try is to just active a business content datasource which is realtime-enabled and has the ability to dynamically add some values so that i can test if it works. but i have no idea what business content would be applicable here, any ideas on that perhaps?

  • Problems with real-time extraction from generic datasource.

    Hello,
I have a real-time extraction from generic datasoruce with numeric field as a delta pointer. I have created an initilization infopackage, delta IP and real-time IP, real-time data transfer process, real-time deamon. The problem is that real-time extraction does not see delta updates. Deamon creates requests in PSA every minute, but there are all empty. When i delete the deamon and shedule not real-time delta infopackage, it loads delta records correctly. Version of BI - 7.0 SP 18.
The second question: a cannot stop real-time deamon. I stop it in RSRDA, but when i try to shedule standart IP, i get an error, that deamon is still running. So i have to delete it and recreate.
And the 3rd question, theoretical. What real-time extraction is necessary for? As i understand, i can create a process chain that will be sheduled every 1 (5, 10, ...) minute. What are advantages of real-time extraction rather such variant?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    1.Note 1113610 - P17:SDL:PC:RDA:Daemon runs: Do not start delta/init IPackage
    Summary
    Symptom
When a daemon runs or is scheduled, you may not start a 'normal' delta/init InfoPackage.
    Other terms
RDA, real-time data acquisition, daemon, InfoPackage, scheduler
    Reason and Prerequisites
This problem is caused by a program error.
    Solution
    SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI
Import Support Package 17 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI (BI Patch 17 or SAPKW70017) into your BI system. The Support Package is available when Note 1106569 "SAPBINews BI7.0 Support Package 17", which describes this Support Package in more detail, is released for customers.
**********you can apply the correction instructions provided in the note
2.i refered closing of the request in the target i.e DSO not psa.
    3. Note 1000157 - RDA daemon does not get data from delta queue
    Summary
    Symptom
You use Real-time Data Acquisition (RDA) to load data from an SAP source system. After several hours or days, the system no longer reads the data from the delta queue. In the RDA monitor, you can see that the InfoPackage has been executed, however the data transfer process (DTP) has not been executed for a long time. In transaction RSA7 in the source system, you can see that there is already data in the delta queue.

  • The problem with Real-Time Data Acqusutuin

    Hi , all
I created ds with Generic Delta : Delta-Specific Fields pointed time stamp and in settings checked Real-time Enabl . After that created modeling in BW , made initial update like discribed in SAP Documentation , created one more infopackage with adapter :Real-time extraction from sap , assigned infopackage and dtp to daemon and started job of daemon .
Request stay yellow all of time and dosn't bring no one records of changes in R3 . Anybody know what is the couse for that? Maby I forgot to check something anywhere or star trigger anyone!?

The following setup working fine for me
In R/3 for Generic Delta ---
            Filed Name - AEDTM
            0Calday -- Radio Button - 'ON'
            Upper Limit - 0
            Lower Limit - 2
            Real_Time enabl - Check Box - 'ON'
New Status for changed records - Radio Button - 'ON'
    In BI
Create infopackage (init) for replicated datasource
Execute the DTP to load this init data to DSO.
        Do NOT activate DSO
Now create another Infopack (real_time Enable & ) and create real-time DTP.
    In RSRDA
        Create a Daemon
Assign InfoPack & DTP to Daemon.
Now start daemon...Here the message says something like 'one of the request is not activated'.
Now, select DTP under Daemon --> use menu Edit --> Repair Chain --> Execute
(If repair chain is not yet there then Daemon --> use menu Edit --> Repair Chain --> Generate and
once this is done execute the using the above path). Once the chain finishs
        Now start Daemon and refresh.
Now u can see, an open request (yellow) under infopackage.
As soon as the new records gets load into PSA, then an open request starts under DTP.
(Note: If no new data available in PSA, no open request starts under DTP)
Also note that, RDA requests (in PSA & DSO Manage) should always be in yellow, that means Real-Time Aquisition is working.

  • Error "cannot load request real time data targets" for new cube in BI 7.

    Hi All,
WE have recently upgarded our SCM system from 4.1 to SCM 7.0 which incorporated BI 7.0.
I am using BI 7.0 for first time and ahve the following issue:
I ceated a new infocube and data source of flat file and succesfully created transformation, and Data Transfer Process. Everything looked fine. I added flat file and checked preview and could see data. Now when I start job to load data in infocube the follwing error is shown "cannot load request real time data targets".
I checked cube type in setting in infcune is shows as Standard.  When I doube clicked on error the following message showed up
You are trying to load data into a real-time InfoCube using a DTP.
This is only possible if the correct load settings have been defined for the InfoCube.
    Procedure
In the object tree of the Data Warehousing Workbench, call Load Behavior of Real-Time InfoCube from the context menu of the InfoCube. Switch load behavior to Transactional InfoCube can be loaded; planning not allowed.
I did not understand what it is meant and how to set changes. Can someone advice and follow me through.
    Thanks
    KV

    Hi Kverma,
Real-time InfoCubes can be filled with data using two different methods: using the transaction for entering planning data, and using BI staging, whereby planning data cannot be loaded simultaneously. With Real time cube you can select the method you want to use for update as
Real Time data Target can be loaded With Data; Planning not allowed &
Real Time data Target can be Planned; Data loading not allowed
You can change this behaviour by right clicking on cube and selecting Change real time load behaviour and select first option. You will be able to load the data then

  • Replacing jar files real-time in classpath

    Hi All
I have a swing application and It runs perfectly. I have created a update manager that can download jar files for the application. This update manager downloads jar files and replaces the jar files that are currently in the class path. You could say the update is real-time.
After the files are downloaded I get errors like class not found and other really strange Java errors. The class not found errors indicate that the application cant find classes that are in the downloaded jar file.
Is there any way to prevent this from happening?
    Thanks in advance,
    Martyn Hiemstra

I am currently just saving the downloaded files into the classpath directory, so in short I'm replacing them while the JVM is running.
The problem is that my Java application is installed using install4j meaning that the application is started as a .exe file. The problem is that I would need to create an external application to update the files but the external programme would have not idea where to put the newly downloaded files. T o overcome this all I want to create an updater within my own application.
Is there a way to shutdown real-time loading of jar files in the class path? That would solve the problem since the newly loaded jar files arent detected until the application is started again.

  • Real Time updates

    Hi,
We have recently purchased a version of  Xcelsius Engage 2008 version 5.0.0.99 and have problems with real time updates when linking to an existing  Excel  sheet that has auto refresh queryu2019s the sheet is updating as expected but neither the preview nor exported flash files update.  Is it possible to do the above with this version of  Xcelsius?
    regards,
    Joe

    Hi Joe,
It sounds like you have a connection tied to the Excel spreadsheet which updates your data.  If this is true, then this will not update the SWF file produced by Xcelsius.  When previewing or exporting the SWF file, it only translates the data/formulas used in Excel in actionscript to produce a self-contained SWF file.  The connection between the SWF and the original Excel file is then severed.
The Xcelsius SWF files can only be updated in run-time via XML or web services.

  • Capturing real time movies - HDV

    Hello,
When I try to capture HDV in real time with QT 7.2 using Canon HV20 I can't get any pictures. I can record but the final movie will be an empty white screen.
QT recognizes the Canon HV20 but will not record HDV format movies.
Is there anything I'm doing rong with QT?
    Thank you.
There is no problem capturing real time SD movies.
MacBPRO 2.33   Mac OS X (10.4.10)   Logic and FinalCutXpress

I doubt the mac has the power to do real time encoding of HDV like you want - even iMovie uses a time delayed import with a conversion to Apple Intermediate Codec to keep up with capturing. Real time seems terribly unlikely.

  • Real Time Counter

    Hi all,
I have a problem regarding Real time counter. I have a field in the output structure that have unique values. The name of the field is unique document name.
For example I sent a message today with a unique doc name of test-00001. How can I send another message so that its unique doc name would be test-00002? The message could be sent anytime (right after test-00001 or tomorrow).
I understand that we can set counters for messages that are passed from 1 source. What if there are multiple sources?
    Regards,
    IX

    HI,
Just red these comments from the same blogs. See if it helps you in your case otherwise you have to go for creation of custom z-table.
Why ot just use the built in counter for the file name? In the receiver File communication channel, Processing tab,
set the file construction mode to Add Counter, and then set the counter parameters accordingly.
This is a standard feature and requires no workaround...
Why not use the built-in counter?

    the limitations of that would be my point 5;
    5. Counter option in the adapter - Only helps if you are using the NFS protocol
and also only if the counter is needed at the end of the file name (before the file name extension)

  • Error while data loading in real time cube

    HI experts,
I have a problem. I am loading data from a flat file. The data is loading correctly till the DSO but when i am trying to load it into the cube it is giving an error.
The cube is  a real time cube for PLANING. I have chnaged the status to allow data loading but still the DTP is giving an error.
It shows an error "error while extracting from DataStore" and some RSBK 224 ERROR and rsar 051 error.

What was the resolution to this issue.  We rae having the same issue only with external system (not a flat file).  We get the  RSAR 051 with a return code of 238 error message, like it is not even getting to the rfc connection (DI_SOURCE).  We have been facing this issue for a while and even opened up a message with SAP.

  • Real time deployment problems

Im some having problems deploying my realtime applictation to my RT target.  Im unsing Labview 8.6 in windows and Real time 8.6.1 on an PXI-8110 target.
When I first deploy the VI after the RT target boots,  The following error appears on the target screen:
Error loading 'ws2_32.dll':missing export 'RegNotifyChangeKeyValue' from 'ADVAPI32.DLL'
If I then try running it again, it will work fine without the error, deploys fine and the program runs fine.  Ive been ignoring this problem thoughout the development of this program because I just get the error the first time deploying it after the target boots.
Now that my program is finished im trying to deploy it as a built application and set it to run on the RT controller at startup.  The program builds fine with no errors.  When I try to deploy it to the target, it fails to deploy.  There is no explanation in the error, it justs says that it failed to deploy.
If I then go into the project explorer, right click on the main VI that the application is built with, select deploy, It deploys without error. after i do that, the realtime application I built will deploy without error.  However it will not run a startup, the controller boots, states it is loading the startup realtime application, then does nothing. Im wondering if the dll error before is related to it.
Another note, I had this program running fine and deploying fine a few months ago with Labview 8.5 and Realtime 8.5 on a PXI 8106 controller.  These errors started popping up when I upgraded to RT 8.6.1 and labview 8.6.  I have tried formatting the controller and reinstalling everything but I get the same error.

    Mike-
Take a look at the KnowledgeBase 3UJACBE9: FTP Transfer of Files between Host and Real-Time Targets in MAX.  As far as exactly what you will need on your PXI-8110 for your project, that can’t be defined on generalities.  These controllers are used for so many different applications, modules, toolkits, and different combinations of hardware, it would be impossible for National Instruments to say this is the perfect setup for everyone.
ADVAPI32.dll is a System32 dll as described in this forum.  I would suggest taking a look at that thread for more of an explanation.

  • The Problem about Monitoring Motion using PCI-7358 on LabVIEW Real Time Module

    Hello everyone,
I have a problem about monitoring the position of an axis. First let me give some details about the motion controller system I’m using.
I’m using PCI-7358 as controller and MID-7654 as servo driver, and I’m controlling a Maxon DC Brushed motor. I want to check the dynamic performance of the actuator system in a real time environment so I created a LabVIEW function and implemented it on LabVIEW Real Time module.
My function loads a target position (Load Target Position.vi) and starts the motion. (Start.vi) then in a timed loop I read the instantaneous position using Read Position.vi. When I graphed the data taken from the Read Position.vi, I saw that same values are taken for 5 sequential loops. I checked the total time required by Read Position.vi to complete its task and it’s 0.1ms. I arranged the loop that acquires the data as to complete its one run in 1ms. But the data shows that 5 sequential loops read the same data?

Read Position.flx can execute much faster than 5 ms but as it reads a register that is updated every 5 ms on the board, it reads the same value multiple times.
To get around this problem there are two methods:
    Buffered High-Speed-Capturing (HSC)
With buffered HSC the board stores a position value in it's onboard buffer each time a trigger occurrs on the axis' trigger input. HSC allows a trigger rate of about 2 kHz. That means, you can store a position value every 500 µs. Please refer to the HSC examples. You may have to look into the buffered breakpoint examples to learn how to use a buffer, as there doesn't seem to be a buffered HSC example available. Please note that you need an external trigger-signal (e. g. from a counter of a DAQ board). Please note that the amount of position data that you can acquire in a single shot is limited to about 16.000 values.
Buffered position measurement with additional plugin-board
If you don't have a device that allows you to generate a repetitive trigger signal as required in method 1.), you will have to use an additional board, e. g. a PCI-6601. This board provides four counter/timers. You could either use this board to generate the trigger signal or you could use it to do the position capturing itself. A PCI-6601 (or an M-Series board) provides can run a buffered position acquisition with a rate of several hundred kHz and with virtually no limitation to the amount of data to be stored. You could even route the encoder signals from your 7350 to the PCI-6601 by using an internal RTSI cable (no external wiring required).
    I hope this helps,
    Jochen Klier
