Hi all
i have registerd one AP report in Oracle apps R12 everything is ok but the labels of colums are not showing properly in report its fine but while running it through application data is fine but the columns are not understandable dont know which language they are comnig can anyone help me wat to do

Problem in Report Display in Browser

Whenever I Display my Reports in the browser i got unwanted Characters Displayed in the header part of the Report. The Interesting thing is that when i develop the Report or Check it in the Report Builder i found nothing going wrong.i am using Report Builder 6i and Internet Explorer 6. My system software is Windows 2003. The Character i got on Screen are " backgroun#000000; "

Hi,
your problem is caused by overlaying boilerplate item(s) in Reports builder layout.
The HTMLCSS format does not properly display overlaying objects.
To fix it remove or reposition any overlapping boilerplate and lines.
Also make sure that there are no spaces in any of the parameter string values being passed to the report while generation of the HTMLCSS.
Remove the background colors if you are using any, as Background (fill) and border (line) colors/patterns for text are not available in HTML.

Problem with Report Result Display.

Hi Experts,
In one of my reports , i need one key figure length of service in years which is report execution date (system date ) - entry date / 365.
Entry date is characteristic and it is in the report display.
I have made a formula and in that i created a formaula variable using replacement path for entry date and got entry date value.
Similarly for system date i got it into another formula using customer exit.
I have made antoher formula length of service in years calculation .Calcualtion every thing is fine.
My output required is show the result value only and hide the single values for the length of service. ....
Here My problem is in the result row for this formula lenght of service it is showing as X instead of the value.
SIngle values are fine .Result row values are coming as X.
I read that if it is formual varaivble using replacement path result values wont be proper.
I treid using calcualte result as ...but i have hierarchy display in my report as a result i am getting warning as
Calculating result as was not executed...
I tried using exception aggregattion even then result is coming as X.
So how i should i get my values displayed in the result row...

Report display problem

Hello,
Let's say I have a report with 16 rows in it, with rows 1 - 15 on the first page, and row 16 on the second page. When I delete the 16th row, my report display again, but I am stuck on the second page, and cannot see rows 1 - 15 (although it says they are there). The only way I can get around this is to log out and log back in again.
I've seen similar postings about this, but I'd like to know if this has been fixed in 2.2?

I set a button named JUMP on the top of Report Region with Target is a URL.
Pagination Scheme is Row Ranges X to Y …
Then into URL target box:
http://koncomp:8080/apex/f?p=101:36:&SESSION.:pg_R_9285751276404338:NO&pg_min_row=181&pg_max_rows=30&pg_rows_fetched=30
36 is the same page. My report has approximately 300 rows, 30 on a page.
When I click on that button the report select exactly rows from 181 to 210.
I think, it is possible to build similar logic to jump to the exact range, but should be complicated.

ICR process for Open item recon.(003) - Report Display issue

I am facing a problem in the data reconciliation report display.The document number "1212121212" doesn't not exist in the SAP system.But "1212121212" is used as the reference number in the another document which is created in the SAP.
Legacy data file.

In the data selection process, i am using the following inputs.

Rule - 300, 400.
Rule - 300 config.

In the reconciliation report display (right side bottom page),
U001->L001->Payables or other way around L001->U001->Receivables (Top Left side).In the either of the two display am able to see two items.
first item (not expected in the report display, bcoz there is no relevant data present in the legacy file).

Hi Ralph,
Yes we are having two company codes.your understanding on this point is rite.
I am using the standard file upload functionality from the presentation server for uploading the non-sap company data.since in the earlier thread i had explained very detail level, so now had made it short.
The only issue that I am having is that I have just one line item in my upload file and it is from non sap company L001 for trading partner u001. File gets loaded (data selected 1 correctly), Then after all the steps when I am in the last step (reconciliation) I see that line getting reconciled with other line available in U001 with zero difference. That looks good because it is matching as per my rule. but I am also seeing some other open items in U001 that are also getting reconciled with no lines in file with difference equal to their values. They should not show up in the bottom part of reconciliation part at all as they are still open in U001 and should not get reconciled until I put their offsetting lines in upload file from L001. So they should stay at the top right side in simple words I am seeing open items as well in reconciliation portion bottom one even I do not have any lines to reconcile them and they are showing a balance in them as well.

Problem when report is exported to excel

HI gurus,
I have one formula in report which gives one number as output.But in report it displays some hardcoded text which has been populated through WAD with the help of classes and interfaces.
So now the report displays the text on web.But when exported to ms excel the actual output(number) of formula is downloaded.
I want that text to be downloaded in excel.Please let me know if it is possible.Plz reply if problem is not clear.

i wil mail you a javascript. give me your id, i can paste it here. But this will only load data for the current page. This is somewhat a work around. BUt this is just for the current page.
If you need entire stuff, raising an OSS message can help, but i believe SAP is already aware of the same.
Just check whether an OSS note already exist.

Font problem in reports 6 character report

hi...
i have this character report. i have set the font of all objects in the report to Courier, point size 10. the report also has a number of bozes and lines i have drawn.
now the report displays perfectly from the previewer and also prints perfectly...as long as i run the the report from within Report Builder. When i try to run the .rep from Forms using run_product, the font goes haywire. it displays everything in some Lucida font and my boxes and lines disappear.
anyone has any idea ?????

Section D1.11 says this is a know problem and to copy one registry entry to another, however, this entry does not exist on the Windows 2003 server this is running on.

D.1.11 Printing and Font Errors When Using In-process Server
The in-process server does not recognize the default printer of a user currently logged on to Windows. This is because the service that runs the in-process server is logged on as the Local System.
Problem
Any of the following:
* Printing to default printer fails with the REP_3002 error. For example, the following command:
http://myrepsrvr.us.oracle.com:7777/reports/rwservlet?report=myrep.rdf&destype=printer&desformat=html
results in the following error: Error:"REP-3002: Error initializing printer. Please make sure a printer is installed."
* Deploying reports containing Oracle6i Graphics (OGD) graphics causes Reports Server to stop responding.
* Font alignment problems in a PDF file output from an in-process server.
Solution
To work around all these issues:
1. Open the Windows registry using a registry editor (for example, regedit.exe). Create a backup of the registry before you edit it.
2. Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Windows
3. Copy the string value of Device for this key. For example: \\MOWGLI\sierra,winspool,Ne02:
4. Navigate to the following key: HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Windows
5. Paste the Device value copied from HKEY_CURRENT_USER (the string value of Device for this key will be empty).

The report displays more than 3000 pages with same content.

I think there is no bad joining. b'se when the querry is executed in sql, it is working properly(means returns only one record) . This problem is not for a particular report. Any report using the "form layout", the same problem occurs.
Why this problem occurs. How can we solve it.

Report "Display Text (Based on LOV)" columns don't like colons - Bug?

This is a bit hard to explain in text, so I've built a sample app: http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=9608:1
The app has two pages, which demonstrate two related bugs in the handling of Report "Display as Text (based on LOV)" columns.
Basically, if the LOV query returns a string that contains colon characters (":") in the display column, the values are matched up correctly, but the colons are stripped from the display.
If the LOV query returns a string that contains colon characters in the return value column, then the matching fails entirely.
Removing the colon characters eliminates the problem.
We actually ran into this in a production environment, after an upgrade from Apex 3.0.0 to 3.2.1. The behavior definitely did not occur in Apex 3.0, but was added at some point between the two versions.

The colon is actually part of our data (the field in question is a URN namespace).
And yes, I understand the function of the colon in Apex URL parameter passing. However, I wouldn't expect that sort of parsing to be used against the results returned from an LOV query.
Also, the LOV is fine in of itself -- a select list based on the LOV displays & returns the expected values. It's only when I use a report column based on an LOV that this behavior creeps in.
We've found a (fairly painful) workaround -- altering both the report query and the LOV query to to do something like replace(column, ':', '_') -- but that's a manual change to a large number of pages for us.
This behavior is new to version 3.2.1. It didn't happen in version 3.0.

Problem running reports

I finally configured and was able to start the reports server on my Solaris box. The listener is running. When I run a report, either by command line using rwrun60 or from a form using RUN_REPORT_PRODUCT, the report kicks off without error but will not finish. I have to kill the process, and no output results. I had no problems when running from NT, so I'd bet the problem is in the configuration not the report itself. Any ideas?

I'm still working this problem.
I have a printer configured, and have no problem generating report in character mode and send directly to printer.
I did have to add localhost access to Xwindows with
$ xhost +localhost
Now I have valid display value.
Unfortunately, still having the same problem. rwrun60 kicks off, but gets hung. I have no problems running forms on the this server. Any other ideas?

Problem executing reports

Hi Experts,
I am having some problems getting any reports to be delivered into SharePoint. When I looked into the logs (SCL system transaction SLG1) I could see that it was saying
No logical port defined.
Export of output data of report /IWCNT/RP_DEMO_USERNAME_LIST failed.
In the deployment guide (http://service.sap.com/instguides) I found this note in the reporting section:
Note: To use the local reports:
a. Open transaction SE38.
The ABAP Editor: Initial Screen is displayed.
b. In the Program field, enter /IWCNT/DEMO_REP_LP_CONFIG.
c. Click Execute.
This program will configure the required RFC destinations and logical ports.
I ran that program successfully.
Then I tried to rerun the report and I got the error in SLG1:
SOAP:1.023 SRT: Processing error in Internet Commu
Export of output data of report /IWCNT/RP_DEMO_USERNAME_LIST failed.
Can anyone help? This report is just a local report on the SCL as far as I know, not something coming from BW. Should I have run that program to create the logical ports for local reports?

It appears that I have no gotten past that particular ICM_SSL error but it is still not working....
In the in /n/IWFND/VIEW_LOG everything looks fine (all green).
Then if I look into SLG1 after about 1 minute I see the errors:
Error | ERROR_WEBSERVICE_RUNTIME_INIT Logical port 'DUET_E | No long text exists
Error | Export of output data of report /IWCNT/RP_DEMO_USERNAME_LIST failed. | Long text exists
The long text of the second message is:
Export of output data of report /IWCNT/RP_DEMO_USERNAME_LIST failed.
Message no. /OSP/MSG303
Diagnosis
User may not be a Duet user.
SAP system not configured or changed on add-on.
SAPID passed was not present in the master system.
Procedure
Please check the add-on server for more details.
I then went and looked at the logical port via (transaction LPCONFIG)... for some reason it was marked inactive... I then activated it and now I get a new warning message in SLG1:
Warning |     Execution of report "Display User names as a list output" failed due to following reasons:     | No long text exists
Warning | Report output does not have data     | No long text exists
So I tried to run the report directly (/IWCNT/RP_DEMO_USERNAME_LIST) and it does show me data...???
Any ideas?

Report displayed based on Select List condition

Any help would be appreciated.
I have a report and a select list, P55_MISSING. The select list contains the column names in the table that the report displays.
If I select one of the column names, I would like to display all records where that column name is null.
The sql I have at the moment is:

In order to doe this you will have to use dynamic sql (so you have to change your report type to 'SQL Query (PL/SQL Function Body Returning SQL Query)').
It would then look something like this...

Interactive Report Display

When a report is grouped by one column, is there anyway to have that column display once instead of for each record? I can do this easily in Crystal and we're in the process of loading BI Publisher...just wonder if it's possible in coding the reports directly in the Apex report display.

Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver

I rummaged around in here looking at opengl topics and others associated with the above error, but I'm not seeing what I'm encountering (or I am and I don't recognize it!).....
I bought CS4 a week or so ago, and installed it on a system running XP32 with service pack 3, 4GB of ram withe the /3GB switch set, nVidia 8600 GT card (which according to the list is supported), and multiple spindles for images, scratch, applications, and so on. I found other topics earlier so I downloaded the most recent drivers for my video card.
I'm not crashing and burning, but I'm getting some messages...
I opened an image, and while working on it I wanted to do a transform/warp. I got the message that Photoshop couldn't perform the operation because there wasn't enough memory. It didn't crash but I had to shut down CS4 and restart it to do the warp.
Most recently I opened a couple images for a panorama, and while doing the merge I got the message that "Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver and has temporarily disabled gpu enhancements." It tells me to check for the latest drivers - I've ALREADY got the lastest drivers. Again, no crash, just the warning. It completed the panorama.
There have been a couple other occurrences of messages of this type, so I'm curious if there's some set of preferences or system settting I need to adjust to optimize things? I've alrady adjusted the nVidia settings because I also run Lightroom and they're having problems too.
I've read the tech notes for the video and such and didn't find any set of optimizations there so is there a set of adjustments beyond the preferences that needs to be adjusted to improve memory and video performance? And if so, can someone point me to them.

As I understand it (suspect at best) XP32 can address 4 gig of memory. the /3gb switch lets the applications get at 3 gig of that. If my video card takes the first 256MB, and XP is guaranteed the other 750 of the 1st gig, and in the CS4 performance preferences I should be giving it from 1462 - 1895 MB (I've given it around 1890), that leaves me with another gig or so... Is that limited to applications or can XP use it? In any case, I'm not crashing, I just get the message every so often about being out of memory. I don't recall ever seeing this with CS3, but new version, new oddities...
