Problem in Saving Data Fields to an Object

Hi,
I have a form which includes the User Information when you insert the user Id on to a field. When you enter the user Id in the field and submit the results get inserted into a  UserInfoBean class in java. The UserInfoBean object is retrieved to the getUserDat() in flex. The first time I do this it assignes the data to the  "userInfo" and I include this into the fields as
                           <s:TextInput id="firstNameId" text="{userInfo.FirstName}"/>
The issue I am having is IF I do move to another section and comeback and try to look for another user the "userInfo" becomes NULL but the results.getItemAt(0) has data object UserInfoBean. When I try to print inside the getUserData() the userInfo.FirstName I get Null since the userInfo is NULL and results.getItemAt(0).FirstName I get the values.
The code is attached below.
Is there a way to fix this issue? How should I get the result into the userInfo?
Thank you,
Hass
CODE:
MXML Code
<<UserInfo.mxml>>
<fx:Script source="UserScript.as"/>
<fx:Declarations>
<services:DepositInfo id="userData" fault="Alert.show(event.fault.faultString + '\n' + event.fault.faultDetail)" showBusyCursor="true"/>
<s:CallResponder id="getUserDataResult" result="getUserData (event)"/>
</fx:Declarations>
<s:Label text="User Id:" id="userIdLb"/>  <s:TextInput id="userId" text=""/>
<s:Button label="Show" id="showBtn" click="loadUser()"/>
<s:TextInput id="firstNameId" text="{userInfo.FirstName}"/>
<s:TextInput id="lastNameId" text="{userInfo.LastName}"/>
<s:TextInput id="emailId" text="{userInfo.Email}"/>
ActionScript Code
<<<UserScript.as>>>
[Bindable] public  var userInfo:UserInfoBean = new UserInfoBean();
private function loadUser(){
getUserDataResult.token = userData.getUserInfoData(userId.text.toString());
private function getUserData (event:ResultEvent):void{
    var results :ArrayCollection;
    results=event.result as ArrayCollection;
    if(results.length != 0){
        userInfo=results.getItemAt(0) as UserInfoBean;

Hi,
all development and client independend customizing is visible at once at all clients of an SAP instance.
You have create separate instances like YA1(100) = DEV; YA2(100) = TEST; and YA3(100) = PROD. As a customizing sandbox in DEV a separate cleient might be helpfull.
All instances could be created at the same server in an early stage of the project. Later at least for production a separate server should be used.
Some consultants with some experience could save costs in such a project.

  • Problem in saving 'Z' develpments to Local Object

    Hi Experts,
    Let me explain my the client settings first -
    I'm working on a implementation project. We have a development server having four clients as 311 sandbox, 322 - customizing client (Without transactions and masters), 411 - Testing client and 422 as a golden master with all configuration and master data.
    The path is  322 >> 411 >> 422
    We do not have configured TMS till now.
    While i'm creating any 'Z' development whether report or table or do any changes on the 311 client i.e. sand box and saving it as a local object or save in a request the changes or newly created reports can directly affect the upto client master i.e. 422 without transporting the request.
    Because of this i'm facing problems as if i created any report just for testing on 311 i.e. sandbox it directly appears on every client without transporting request even when it has been saved in the local object. Also if i do any changes in any sap standard screen, program or in any object as per SAP notes on 311 they directly affects whole development system.
    Please guide me how to set the system landscape to avoide this.
    Thanks

  • Problem updating a date field via UnitOfWork - TopLink 9.0.3

    Hello,
    we want to change an exisiting application that employs TopLink 9.0.3, Build 423.
    The data is stored in an Oracle 9.2.0.6.
    The specific table has a composite primary key consisting of four fields.
    I can easily create a new Object (foo)
    uow.registerNewObject(foo)
    uow.commit()
    and see the results in the database.
    If I obtain an exising Object (bar) and change an integer
    bar = (Bar) Session.readObject(Bar.class, expr);
    cloneBar = (Bar) uow.registerObject(bar);
    cloneBar.setSomething(42);
    uow.commit()
    everything is fine.
    But if I dare to change a Date field
    cloneBar.setSomethingElse(cal.getTime());
    then
    uow.hasChanges()
    returns true
    but the update does not happen. It is neither logged nor is the data changed in the database.
    Is this a known bug?
    What have I done wrong?
    How can I avoid using hard-coded SQL to update my Bar object?
    Bye,
    Stephan

    Hello,
    it is very disturbing, but I finally found the reason for this problem.
    After decompiling the Project class file (we have no source code of this third-party library), I saw that the mapping for this specific field is set to "readOnly".
    I did not know that TopLink is able to have specific fields "readOnly" and others "readWrite", but it can handle this!
    So it seems that the behaviour is not a bug but a feature :-(
    We can change the mapping before creating the session, with the result that the field is updatable.
    Have a nice day.

  • Problem in saving data.

    Hi all.
    i am using oracle 10g forms & reports.
    i have tables EXPHEAD and EXPENSES.
    i populate a list item in EXPENSES using the following code:-
    declare
         obj_name varchar2(40):='OBJ_G';
         status number;
         groupid recordgroup;
    begin
         groupid:=create_group_from_query(obj_name,'SELECT exp_name, TO_CHAR(exp_code) exp_code FROM exphead');
         status:=populate_group(groupid);
         populate_list('expences.exp_name',groupid);
    end;
    DECLARE
    vStatus NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    vStatus := POPULATE_GROUP('OBJ_G');
    POPULATE_LIST('expences.exp_name', 'OBJ_G');
    END;
    when i change values in list items (Exp_Name) exp_code change automatically like:-
    when i select RENT (Exp_Name) in list item its code (1) automatically shown in exp_code text item, i used this code on WHEN-LIST-CHANGE:-
    :expences.exp_code:=:expences.exp_name;
    now the problem is that data in the fields shows correctly but when i store data, in both fields exp_code is store.
    means in Exp_Name field data of exp_code inserted.
    hope u understand my problem
    Regards
    Saqib
    Edited by: Saqib Alam on Jan 4, 2012 7:52 PM

    means in Exp_Name field data of exp_code inserted. Yes, that is the whole point. A list item shows the description of a code. Like the department code 10 has description ACCOUNTING. You don't store ACCOUNTING in table EMP, you store department code 10 in EMP.
    :expences.exp_code:=:expences.exp_name;That is a pretty strange line of code (giving a code a name).

  • Problem update a date field

    Hi,
    I have one table with a date field.
    For display all rows in a table component i'm using a dateTimeConverter object with format 'dd/MM/aaaa' and work fine.
    Bat when i update a data provider with follow code:
    public String update_action() {
    // TODO: Process the button click action. Return value is a navigation
    // case name where null will return to the same page.
    try {
    myDataProvider.commitChanges();
    myDataProvider.refresh();
    } catch(Exception e) {
    error("One error: " + e.getMessage());
    return null;
    return from brawser the follow message:
    Number of conflicts while synchronizing: 1 SyncResolver.UPDATE_ROW_CONFLICT row 2 Data Exception -- No Applicable Cast Operator. from SQL type BINARY to SQL type DATE
    Anyone help me!
    Thanks.

    If you are getting the date from a calendar you have to convert it before storing it, for example, in the following code, the date got from the calendar is converted to a java.sql.Date
    java.sql.Date date1 = new java.sql.Date(calendar1.getSelectedDate().getTime());
    I hope this helps =)

  • Is anyone else having problems with Apertures Date fields?

    After experiencing a sysems failure I began restoring my images from backups.  I have had no end of problems with Image dates.  I have come to the determination that Aperture is NOT using either the "Create Date" or "DateTimeOriginal" as the image "Date" or "Date Created" data if other fields have other dates.
    Here is a clip from my image metadata using exiftool:
    Create Date                          : 2006:02:20 11:51:12.10
    Date/Time Original              : 2006:02:20 16:51:12.10
    Modify Date                          : 2006:02:20 11:51:12.10
    And here is what Aperture utilized on import
    Date:                               9/23/12 7:53:15 PM EDT
    Date Created                         9/23/2012 7:53:15 PM
    So Aperture utlized the File Modification Date/Time as the Create Date despite that the fact that the Create Date field is present and is properly formatted in the original image.
    According to the Aperture mapping table, this shouldn't be happening.
    Now, before someone recommends that I use Aperture's Date Adjust utility - I'm talking about  slightly over 30,000 images.  Editing images one at a time, or in blocks when you don't know what field Aperture is using as the Create Date would require individual inspection of each image followed by manual adjustment of each image.  That approach isn't acceptable.

    Hmm ok, let me restate the issue then, I thought I was clear.  I could have pointed out in my original post however, that only the EXIF and IPTC date fields were displayed from the metadata dump.
    The data set presented in my first post is the EXIF dataset from the file which clearly shows the image was captured by digital camera at
    Create Date                          : 2006:02:20 11:51:12.10
    Date/Time Original              : 2006:02:20 16:51:12.10
    (The delta of 5 hours is the result of Zulu versus local time offset)
    But, when I ingested it into Aperture, the import routine utilized the IPTC field
    File Modification Date/Time     : 2012:09:23 19:53:15-04:00
    which is updated by the OS whenever you move the file around outside of Aperture. (a number of image data fields are updated by the OS - filename for example is another.).  This resulted in the image date fields being stamped in Aperture as:
    Date:                               9/23/12 7:53:15 PM EDT
    Date Created                         9/23/2012 7:53:15 PM
    Which obviously came form the File Modification Date/Time field and not (either) the Create Date or Date/Time Original fields.

  • Problem with the date field in Table Control

    I have created a table control in my module programming. One of the column in the table control is a date field which is I/O field.
    Now if I enter a value in date field column and hit enter the date field is reset. I dont want the field to get reset and accept valid date field.
    I have set type of the column as DATS and I havent used any dictionary fields. The column is from the internal table in the program.
    Please suggest

    In your PAI, in the LOOP AT <itab> did you
    - check date validity
    - update internal table
    * Sample
    LOOP AT itab.
      FIELD itab-field MODULE checkfield.
      MODULE updateitab.
    ENDLOOP.

    Matthew Kelton: Thanks for the solution i am adding outer loop so that i can increase the number of row. I am using it for some application which require me to save data several time and i used random number here but originally instead of random number there will be power meter reading and i want to save it every hour and plot it. I am also attaching a file what i made I don't know is this a good way or not. Actually i will also beneeded to plot a graph. But again how to increase a row and without replacing previous data i can write another row.
    Yes i want to make one row for each iteration.
    I attached both files in 2009 version.

  • Discoverer 2000 : Problem in sorting date field on report

    Hello,
    I am not able to sort on date field on report
    it is giving error as
    ( illegal operation).

    Thanks Savitha.
    I found one more way of making that code work, just want to share this.
    If we add the following statement, the same code works without having to add the time part along with date.
    "DBMS_XMLSave.setdateformat(updctx, 'yyyy-MM-dd');"
    note the format is case sensitive. Instead of MM, if you give 'mm' it won't work, it uses java format.

    I've changed the architecture to something that is way better then the sequence structure you had (State Machine).  Just to give you an idea on how it could be done.
    Still the dynamic data type is in there (which I don't like), but I'm not going to change your method.
    I've cleaned up your code a bit.  It's still not perfect, but it's done in 2mins.
    I do have one question though : why are you saving an entire column (the last) of data which contains the same value (namely the total time the test ran)???
    Kind regards,

  • Problem with current date field...

    I want to display the current date and time, but when I change the data format in the binding tab to "Date and Time" and assign a pattern that includes date and time, all I get is the current date, NOT the time. TIA!

    I have tried applying these scripts in the initialize event to all manner of objects, text field objects, date/time objects, numeric objects, current date objects, and it shows nothing. If I could just edit the date/time format of the current date object when it is set to "Runtime Property-Current Date/Time" I MIGHT be able to use it. I really appreciate your help thus far. Would it be possible for you to share a pdf file that you've made where this works so I might disect it? No matter what pattern I specify in the "Field" palette, it shows it's own formatting.
    UPDATE: I did go back after trying it a few times to change the value after Page1 to match the name of my field.
    UPDATE 2: Here is a link to what I've done. Take a look and let me know what I'm doing wrong, or change it and share it back. Thanks so much for your help!!!

    I have found 3 more variants. You can write below code on initialize event. It will automatically display the current data & time during the preview
    1.   xfa.form.form1.Page1.TextField1.rawValue
    = util.printd("dd.mm.yyyy HH:MM", new Date());
    2.  xfa.form.form1.Page1.TextField2.rawValue = util.printd("dddd d. mmmm yyyy HH:MM ", new Date());
    3.  xfa.form.form1.Page1.TextField3.rawValue = util.printd("date{EEEE, D. MMMM YYYY} time(de){HH:MM:SS Z}", new Date(), true);

  • Problem with saving data in text file in Application server

    Hello Experts,
    I am trying to save a text file in application server.When I text file have less that 60000 (i.e 59999) records, it saves the file successfully, but if records in text file (saved in application server) is more than 60000 (i.e 60002), it creates a new file at the 60000th record with the continued records.
    Can anyone please advise, why it is creating a new file if records are more that 60000. I tested it with 59000 records in my internal table and it is working fine. I have not given any restriction in my program to create a new file if records are more than 60000.
    The logic I implemented is the following:
    *Open file
      open dataset g_accnt_file for output in text mode encoding utf-8.
      if sy-subrc = 0.
        clear g_header_record.

        transfer g_header_record to g_accnt_file.

    *Validation file
        loop at gt_csks into gs_csks.

    Can u check the concatenate statement with one more data. Check the no of lines for a single file.
