Problem in saving file

Hello Experts
From a few days we are facing one problem in which if a user execute the analyser and then tried to save the file in 2003 format then it throws an error, where as a few days back there was no such problem.
we have 2007 MS Office.

The Problem is with MS office Only, Try Un-installing Office & then Re-install that...Check the query now by saving in Office 2003.

Having problems getting saved files in PS CS3 to show up in folders in Vista - help?

My sincerest apologies if this has floated across oyur screens before, but I don't seem to be pluggin in the correct set of keywrds to bring it up in the search if it has.
Here's my dilemma. I just bought a new computer which came preloaded with Vista, and uploaded my old copy of CS3 onto it. The program seems to be working fine, except that when I open a file in Photoshop and edit it, then save it in a new file (as I do for most of my photoshoots, etc), or even when I save it in the orignial folder, the new "saved" file will not show up in the Vista folder. If I go back to Photoshop and open the folder via File>Open, I can access all of my pictures, but to I cannot access them to upload to the internet, email, use in other programs, etc.
If I go into "Recently Changed Documents" I can find them, but they seem to be in a temp folder in the Adobe folders. But again, if I go back to Adobe, it says they are in the folder I put them in.
Any ideas what's going on here?

They are hidden for whatever reason, either you have a permission problem or they are registered incorrectly with Explorer. Open the folder, then check Extras --> Folder Options. Disable the Hide System Files option and then the more generic Hidden Files section a little lower. If that reveals the files, it's time to check the File Types tab in the same panel and see, why it actually thinks your documents are system files. the simplest solution would be to remove the PSD association and then create it new, when you open a file wit6h a double-click. Of course al lthe above assumes that not some security tool or another application is "stealing" your file type associations. If you have such tools, checking their config may already solve the problems.

I use FW since 2002,
I am having an anyoing problem:
when I save the file, let's say logo.png, I save it in the folder of my client clientxxx
I want to export the file into jpg, and I try to export and by default the export command opens the desktop and I have to navigate all the way to the folder where the clientxxx files are, why? that didn't use to happen in the past versions, is anoying because everytime I have to save the logo lets say a modification I have to navigate to the correspondent folder.

I think that Fw works in this way (some of its logic):
1) If you have saved client-logo.fw.png in folder D:\MyClients\Client1\, then exported the file as client-logo.jpg in folder D:\MyClients\Client1\ and then saved the .fw.png file again, next time you will open client-logo.fw.png and try to export again, it will automatically go to D:\MyClients\Client1\ -- the PNG file will "remember" where you exported it last!
2) If you have saved client-logo.fw.png in folder D:\MyClients\Client1\, then exported the file on the desktop, then saved the .fw.png file again, next time you will open client-logo.fw.png and try to export again, it will automatically go to desktop for the exported JPG version! -- the PNG file will "remember" where you exported it last -- like, Desktop!
3) If you have saved client-logo.fw.png in folder D:\MyClients\Client1\, then exported the file on the desktop, then you DID NOT save the .fw.png file again, next time you will open client-logo.fw.png and try to export again, it will automatically go to the *last* folder you have used to export some Fw PNG file! It could be Desktop, My Documents, or D:\MyClients\Client1\.

Problem when saving files (file already exists-)

Woking in CS5.1.
When I save a document (as opposed to "save as"):
I get a message "some of the specified files already exist in the target location. The files marked below will be replaced".
The file I am working on gets saved, but creates a second version "file name-01.ai"
Any ideas?

Works fine here CS5 on Windows.
When I save, it will warn me only if the file with the same name already exists and if I choose to replace it it will replace the existing file keeping the name I'm saving it with.

Problems with saving files

I'm on Mavericks 10.9.01 on a MACPRO. Whnever I save a file on my Philips 273EL I am unable to see the files names in the various folders I want to save, while the folder Icons and names are visible.
If I open any folder again its content names are totally unreadable
How to solve this problem if anyone has it?
I already find very unuser friendly the toolbar without colours as the colors helped before and I do not understand what is good about that change ...
With the same monitor using a Snow Leopard system this doesn't happen. Hence I suppose is not an hardware problem but something in the Mavericks system I might be able to adjust with so help from this community.

The only way to add color back is using a program to hack the system. I keep sending feedback about the lack of color.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Open Create Replace problems with saving file patterns

Hello, I got a problem with open/replace/create function. Could you please clarify each function how it works? As you can see in my file, I try to save into the specified file path. The values appear in the text file but when I change some values in the data mainstream, it replaces the old value it has been. I want to have the whole data in one file till I close it and open another file for the operation.
How can I do it??

Hi,
I can't see your VI as it is in a newer version of LabVIEW than I have, so if you want any more specific help you'll need to save the VI as a previous version. (File -> Save as previous version) I have LabView 2009.
However, I have made a quick little example you could use. You don't need to use Set File Position if you use Shift Registers, as shown in the attached picture.

Problem while saving files

Hello everyone,
I have problem while wanting to save my projects. Nothing appears when I click on "Save" or "Save as". Ctrl+S doesn't work either. The only option that remains to me is closing my project, then it asks me if I want to save or not, then I save. But once it closed without asking me, I lost my work It's kind of annoying.
I'm using Photoshop CS5
Could anyone help me?

You likely don't have a display with a minimum of 768 pixels vertically.
Hard to believe, but Photoshop's Save dialog will fail if you don't have a display that large.

Problem saving files to PDF in Illustrator CS4 [Mac]

Hi all,
I'm having a problem with saving files as PDF's in illustrator CS4 - something I've happily done for years until about a week ago.
It seems to be something to do with the "Save As" command. When I select Save As and then select PDF, the PDF saves as a copy of the current file rather than it saving as a file itself. It also doesn't rename itself properly. Saving a file in the .ai format seems unaffected.
The multiple page function also seems to be affected - I can create multiple pages no problem, but upon saving the PDF reads as a single page PDF in both Acrobat and Preview. Reopening the same file in Illustrator reveals that the extra pages are there, but not showing in the PDF.
Any thoughts? I've trashed preferences and repaired permissions, but no joy....

Im having problems with saving files on my computer, from Mail and Safari. I have 900gb free diskspace, but i simply cant save anyhow, it says my disk is full.
Have i accidentally locked something up?

Saving files to a specific folder

I used to be a PC, now I am a Mac, learning fast, but I have a problem in saving files from the web. I am using OS 10.4.7
I am using Firefox and Thunderbird.
When I try to save email or a picture from a web site I am presented with a Menu; Save as, Where and Format. The 'Where' is the problem.
When I click 'WHERE', I am presented with a list;
Network
Mac HD 80
Mac HD 60
Desktop
MCMP (HOME, where all my different folders are)
Applications
Movies
Music
Picures
When I click on MCMP, my home with all my sub folders, there is no way to save the file any place but just in MCMP. I have no options which folder in MCMP or sub folder of a main topic folder. Saving to MCMP just puts the file in with all my different folders.
How do I direct exactly which folder the item is to be saved into.

Spring loaded folders: Drag a file to a flder, hold it over it and the folder will open. You can use this to drop files into sub folders and so on. The timing on how long you have to hold is controlled in the Finder preferences -> General Pane.
Another possibilty for your original question is to use Default Folder X, a shareware, that makes navigating open and close dialogues very easy.

CS6 & OSX 10.6.8 - saving files directly to the server does not work (most of the time)

we just switched from OSX 10.5.8 to 10.6.8
OSX was installed on a new partition of the harddisk
Then installed CS 5
Then installed CS 6 via (adobe creative cloud)
With CS6 we got also the problem with saving files to the server (program error)
It happens mostly with photoshop, sometimes with Illustrator.
I read a lot of posting regarding the same problem but didn´t found a real solution yet.
I am also wondering that there seems to be no solution for this now, because most of the posting i read are 1 year old.
Working locally is not really an acceptable workaround for us or anyone who needs to work with Creative Suite in a professional way.

Saving files in .jpeg - Photoshop Elements 10

Most likely reason is that the image is in 16 bit format not 8 bit - a JPG can only support 8 bit formats.
Try changing the mode: Image -> Mode -> 8 bits/channel
If you use RAW images, you can set the colour depth when yo first open the image (see center of window at the bottom).
