Problem in Service Tax Calculation in PO taxes tab [CIN].

Dear Experts,
For external services procurement, i have configured service pricing procedure for the pricing application - MS.
Service basic prices and other pricing stipulations are maintained in Services tab [PO Item Level].
For service tax following condition types are maintained -
1] JST1 - IN: A/P Service tax
2] ZSED - IN: ECESS Services
3] ZSHS - A/P SHECESS Service
Condition record in Transaction - FV11 are maintained for the tax code only [Key Combination]
Condition table assigned to the service access sequence is assigned with tax code field.
I have maintained the condition record for all above mentioned condition types. for example Tax Code - S1.
But in Service Purchase Order, when i am assigning tax code, it is adopting tax percentage in taxes tab but
not copying or not adopting the service prices at or for the Condition type - BASB - Base Amount.
Please Guide me on the issue.
or please guide me on SAP service tax configuration.
Thanks in Advance

I have Check it in case of material procurement i mean for the basic excise duty and other taxes it is adopting the value for basb.
The problem is only with service tax conditions.
Please give me the steps for service tax configuration.
please provide me the steps for cin service tax processing.

    Hi
By default the system will calculate Withholding Tax for whole amount, if we want to change the value of Tax we have to manually change the Withholding Tax Base amount in the Withholding Tax tab of the Document Entry Screen and Change the Base amount to the amount for which the Withholding Tax has to be deducted then the system will calculate the Withholding Tax for the Base Value entered by us.

  • Tax calculation in backend and in SRM (classic and standalone scenario)

    Hello,
I have an issue regarding calculation of tax. 2 scenarios are used in common: classic and standalone. One node of Organizational structure is using classic scenario, another node is using standalone. So I have 2 Accounting Systems defined (one for each node).
    Requirement is:
    - For classic scenario, setting the tax calculation in backend
    - For standalone scenario, setting the tax calculation to no tax calculation
Problem is that I can not customize the system this way. I do not know any mean to set 2 ways for tax calculation. Would you have any idea to do this?
    Thanks,

  • Tax calculation in SRM and passing onto R/3 PO

    Hi,
    We are on SRM_SERVER 550, SP07 and R/3 4.7 backend.
    1. We have a requirement wherein we want the tax determination to happen in SRM. Basically there is no logic for determining the tax codes, but the user himself selects it per line item when creating the cart.
    2. We want this to be transferred to the backend PO line item. The tax codes in SRM and R/3 are identical.
Can this be achieved by standard configuration?
I checked that there are 4 choices for tax calculation in SRM
    No tax calculation
    Tax calculation occurs in backend
    Customer specific implementation'
Tax calc occurs via external system
    tax calc occurs via TTE
I am not sure which one we should be selecting (currently its no tax calc). I am also not sure if the tax code which is selected in SRM will be passed onto R/3 Or should this be mapped in the BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW Badi?
The option thro development is to provide a custom field where users can enter the tax code/choose from a list and then map it to the tax code(TAX_CODE - MWSKZ) field in badi BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW. But we would prefer to stick to the standard options if they are feasible.
Any pointers to this would be very helpful.
    Regards,
    Srivatsan

    Hi,
If you have a classic scenario where the PO is created in the backend only the standard configurations will work for this.
    1) Determine System for Tax Calculation--- R/3 Tax calculation occurs in backend.
Tax calculation occurs in the Backend System
Tax calculation occurs via RFC in the backend system in Financial Accounting. If an external system is connected to the backend system (Vertex or Taxware, for example), this is automatically called from the backend system.
    2) Enter tax code :
As you mentioned use the same key and also the description here. Make the zero tax as No tax and make it as default also ( which is safer for all users).
With these two config steps you will get an F4 help in the for all the tax codes defined whereas the system will suggest the zero tax as the default.
The other config steps are optional where you can have tax codes for you product category. Please do configurations in these steps only if required.
This SC tax code will be there in the PO created from SRM provided if you have entry for this in FTXP in the R3 system.
As far as we have configured you dont need BADI for this standard Tax calculations.
If the invoice is made in R3 with reference to this PO then this tax code can be changed.
    Best regards,
    Sridhar.

  • MM-SUS: SUS invoice creation without default tax code and no tax amount

    Hello All:
When i create SUS invoice based on accepted GR(GR is transfered form MM per program RPODDELVRY and my system has implemented note#1351489) , the SUS invoice tax code in item is default from SUS customizing, but not from MM-PO item tax code.  On the other hand, the tax amount is always zero even if  i change the tax code and press "update price".
So then i press "send" to transfer SUS invoice to MM, system jump following 2 error messages:
    Errors:Error in parameter transfer ( Item 1 )
Errors:Active status of document SUS Invoice 5000000035 is Incomplete . No changes are possible.
My SRM Server release 701, and business scenario is MM-SUS
In MM: customizing OBCA/OBCD/OMRY  is completed
In SUS:customziing SRM server -> cross application basic settings -> tax calculation is completed.
1.determine system for tax calculation --> R/3 tax calculation occurs in backend
                2.enter tax code --> I1 = 17% default sales tax, I2 = 13% sales tax
                3.Assign enterprise buyer tax code to FI system -->  I1 = MM J1 , I2 = MM J2
Please advise what's the sulotion, thanks.

    Hello ALL,
I am also facing same problem, although on different version SRM 7.0 SAPKIBKV06
We are having issues as stated below....
    1) Tax code in PO line item should be defaulted while processing SUS Invoice.
As per the current behaviour SUS invoice tax code in item is defaulted from SUS customizing, but not from MM-PO item tax code.
    2) In SUS Invoice the tax value is not getting populated even though the setting in IMG is R/3 tax calculation occurs in backend and for this all relevanat attributes related to purchasing org. BUK and ACS are maintained under PPOMA.
    3) Finally when I try to post the invoice in SUS system get the below error message
Errors: Error in parameter transfer ( Item 1 )
Errors: Active status of document SUS Invoice 5000000XXX is Incomplete . No changes are possible.
All the relevant config is maintained
    In MM: customizing OBCA/OBCD/OMRY  maintained
In SUS:customziing SRM server -> cross application basic settings -> tax calculation maintained.
    Appreciate your quick reply,
    Thanks,

  • Tax calculation at the time of creating service entry sheet.

    Dear Experts,
    I have got a Company Code : P320 having the Plants : P324, P325, P326.
I am making a Services Purchase Order by using the Item Category as u201CDu201D and Accounts Assignment as u201CKu201D for Cost Center and Order and u201CPu201D for WBS element.
    I am entering a Tax Code : 29-Service Tax 10.30% and Jurisdiction Code : IN00 for all the Plants : P324, P325, P326.
The tax calculations in purchase order are displayed properly.
But on preparing the service entry sheet for Plants P324 and P325 for Accounts Assignment u201CKu201D and u201CPu201D, the service tax amount is getting calculated and posted correctly along with the base amount.
But on preparing the service entry sheet for Plant P326 for Accounts Assignment u201CKu201D and u201CPu201D the service tax amount is not getting calculated and only accounting entries for base amount is posted.
For example : Suppose the value of the SES is Rs. 10000/-. Service tax [((Rs. 10000 * 10.30)/100) = Rs.1030).
The accounting entries for Plants P324 and P325 are for Rs. 10000/- + Rs. 1030/- = Rs. 11030.
The accounting entries for Plant P326 are for Rs. 10000/- only.
Please suggest what could be the problem and how can it be resolved.
    Thanks in advance
    AJ

    Hi.
Th service cost is 1000 an tax is10.3% (130 rs). Hence the amount shoul be 1130. In your case it is showing 1000only. Am i right? Thouigh you have seleceted apt tax code and tax is not getting updated means please check the tax code linkage in tax determination procedure. Please cross check the tax determination procedure and the tax code assigned in SES is correct or not. I hope this will help you. Thanking you.

  • Service tax calculation on payments

    hai  sap gurus.
my client has nine company codes and in every company they want to calculate service tax at the time of receiving payment from customer.i think this is not possible with f-28.can any one suggest me the solution for this trouble some problem.
      thanks in advance.
    R A J I N I

Service Tax is NOT Income Tax.  So, you would not calculate Service Tax downpayments.  Service tax is applicable only on Service rendered and does not concern whether it is paid.  (Though, if you want to avail Service tax credit, you'll have to pay for the service, which is mandatory as per the Indian Tax laws).
So, Service Tax is only calculated from the Invoice.  As long as no invoice is raised, no Service tax is payable / deductable.
The above is true for India and most countries.  You have not mentioned which country are you working with.  If such a scenario is appropriate in your country, you'll have to consult your country version documentation.
    Ravi.

  • Service tax calculation on unplanned deliver cost

    Hi,
While doing MIRO if we are give negative amount in unplanned delivery cost than system calculating service tax on the total value of GRN.
For example MIGO (GRN) has been done for amount 100,000
But while doing MIRO if I put (-20,000) in unplanned delivery cost than system still calculate service tax on 100,000 not (100,000-20,000= 80,000)
We have also implemented two notes 1402621 and 1300860 but problem still the same.
Please advise whether we are missing some configuration or something else.
    Regards,
    Abhinav Sharma

    Hello Vishal,
There is one settings in SPRO - MM - Logistics Invoice verification - Incoming Invoice which asks for the default tax code for unplanned delivery costs. You can put V0 there as zero tax calculation for unplanned delivery costs But am not sure whether it will work if we are posting the unplanned delivery costs in the same line item of material values. Check the same from your side. Now i dont have access to the system and i will check from my end also for the same and get back to u.

  • Income Tax Calculation problem: Urgent Help Needed

    Dear Gurus,
I am facing a unique problem. Our client has two incentives –
    1) Product Incentive
    2) Sales Incentive
Every month incentive figures get changed. These two are Monthly Regular Income (Cumulations Class 24) i.e. included in annual tax calculation.
Now for tax calculation, my client wants "Actual Earning" and "Estimated Earning for the rest of the year" to be different. But Income tax calculation in SAP (for the month of April 2007) takes Actual Earning and multiplied it by 12( i.e. 11+1) to calculate Estimated Earning. But my client wants this Estimated Earning to be different.
Now please let me know is this possible in SAP system and how to calculate this?
Your help will be highly appreciated
    Waiting for an early reply.
    Thanking You,

  • Service Tax Calculation for Condition Types

    Dear Experts,
In an Import Purchase Order for Coal, along with the Basic Price of the Coal, the following Conditions are also entered, in the Condition Types maintained in the Import Pricing Schema
    -        Water front royalty
    -          Port Dues
    -          Berth Hire Charges
    -          Port terminal charges
    -          Surveyor charges
Each of these conditions may have a separate Vendor, hence the Purchase Order creator will select each condition and assign the required vendor.
Each of these conditions is subject to Service Tax, Educational Cess and Higher Secondary Educational Cess, the User want that separate service tax calculation be made available in the pricing schema for these individual conditions and the relevant vendor be assigned to these condition.  the service tax on individual conditions be paid to the relevant vendor along with the basic value for the condition.
Separate Condition Types (15 nos.) for each of the above conditions for Service Tax, Educational Cess and Higher Secondary Educational Cess can be prepared and added in the pricing schema, the user will have to enter the percentages in the relevant conditions.
The user wants that the Service Tax be automatically calculated for these conditions, instead of manually entering the same. Please guide how can this be achieved.
    Thanks in advance.
    AJ

    Hi,
For this you have to maintain the all your charges in your pricing procedure along with each charge you have to maintain 3 condition types for service and chesses.
    Ex:
step counter cond.type des.                   from                 to
    1 1 P000 Gross Price
    1 2 P001 Gross Price
    25 0 JM00 Water front royalty                 1
    26 0 ser1 service                                  25
    27 0 edu1 educationcess                      26
    28 0 edu2 se.edu.cess ;                        26
    29 0 jm01 Port Dues                                1
    30 0 ser1 service                                   29
    31 0 edu1 educationcess                       30
    32 0 edu2 se.edu.cess                           30
like this you have to built your pricing procedure in a m/08. after that for you want the service tax automatically so for that you have to put the accesses sequence in you service condition types (ser, edu1,edu2).in m/06.
After that you have to maintain info record for that material and import vendor. in me11 in that in condition tab you have to maintain percentage for ser, edu1, edu2 . the system will  calculate the service charges automatically.
    Thanking you,

    Hi,
please check additionally the following OSS notes:
    495316     Taxes with services
See consulting Note 498878 for information about the functioning of
    taxes for service documents.
For service orders, you can set in Customizing (Transaction ML100 or the
following path: -> Materials Management -> External Services Management
-> Taxes at Individual Service Level) whether the taxes are calculated
at individual service level or at item level.
If you set the 'Taxes at individual service level' indicator for a
country, you can maintain tax data (tax indicator MWSKZ and tax
jurisdiction code TXJCD) in a purchase order at service level AND at
    item level in Customizing.
The tax calculation only occurs at service level.

  • Tax calculation in Service POs

    Dear All,
While creating a service PO I am maintaining Tax code at invoice Tab. But while clicking on Taxes button to see the tax calculation it is not apperaing. Also at condition tab total taxes condition type showing no amount.
For the same tax code if i create a Material PO then system is showing tax calculation after clciking on Taxes button also i can see the same amonunt at condition tab against condition type.
is it stnadard that we can not see tax calculation in service POs, only while doing SES we can see the tax calculations.
If not what could be the reason that i couldnt see tax calculations in service POs.
    Please guide
    Regards,
    Rakesh

    Hi,,
Check you are doing service PO  and this require Account assignmnet cat-K  and Itemcat-D
    and mandatory is -Material Group.
If you are using TAXINN  -Then you need to maintain Service tax -conditions like,-Example -JSRT,JEC3,JSE3-
Service tax  ,Ecess on service tax,SHECess on service tax  has to maitain for
Plant and material Group Access sequence . in FV11.
    Then only you can get.
where as for the material you are already conditions are maitained so you are getting the tax details.
If you are using TAXINJ- For blank  you maintain chaper ID with Plant in J1ID  then you will get the taxdetais.
i think you are clear what i mean to say
    with regrads
