Based on the above, I tried to generate a report utility for AME.
the value returned by step is 'Post-AME.B'I want to do the ff:
1. Login to AME Application using "Approvals Management Administrator" responsibility.
2. Search for your transaction type
3. Click on the transaction type
4. AME-Internal ID of the choosen transaction type will be displayed.
Note: Please note that the AME Internal ID (Application ID) is usually a negative integer.
Make a note of the AME Internal ID
How do I get the AME-Internal ID ? based on the page below:

  • Oracle Workflow VS Oracle Approvals Management

    Hi,
    I am new to Oracle Apps. I would like to know the difference between Oracle Workflow and Oracle Approvals Management. I a bit confused. Why we need to have Oracle Approvals Management module if the same can be achieved through Oracle Workflow. Am I missing sometiing here.
    Thanks
    IB

    Hi
    I'll try to explain the difference. Workflow is the background process which is followed by the self service transaction. The workflow consists of a series of tasks or functions and exh function will return a 'result'. The routhe through the workflow process will depend on the rersults. For example, if the workflow task is 'validate input' and the result can be 'valid' or 'invalid', after this taks the workflow will follow either the 'valid' path or the 'invalid' path. Eventually, the workflow will reach an 'end' task when the tranaction is complete.
    AME is a process of determining approvers dynamically from the transaction data, or during the transaction. AME is called in different ways from each module in the e-Business Suite. In HR for example, it is usually called during the 'review' process. It will execute a rule based on conditions (which must be true). The conditions are in turn based on the values of attributes you define in AME. Effectively, you can define a business rule such as IF ORGANIZATION = ABC THEN APPROVERS ARE FIRST 2 SUPERVISORS IN SUPERVISOR HIERARCHY.
    AME is usually embedded into a workflow task.
    I hope that explains it in simple (relatively non-technical) terms!
    Regards
    Tim

  • Problem with console in Oracle VM Manager

    I have installed Oracle VM 3.0.3 and Oracle VM Manager 3.0.3 is install on Oracle LINUX 5.6. I cannot get the console to work from either the Oracle VM Manager server itself using firefox or remotely from Windows running IE or Chrome. After looking at version posts I have installed tightvnc-java-1.3.9 and ovm-console-1.0.0. The symptoms are different locally and remotely. First locally on the OVM Manager server with firefox. I click on console and a pop up asks if I want to run ovm_rasproxy-ws.jnlp click OK and things go crazy, multiple tabs open and keeps going until I kill firefox or the server runs out of resources. On the remote PC I click console and things just hang and nothing happens. Checked firewall settings, iptables is not running, I can telnet to port 15901.
    Any ideas
    Richard

    maybe this will help
    local ( oracle vm manager )
    ovm_rasproxy-ws.jnlp --> need open by javaws . search the javaws path . or maybe you can install sun java version 7 1st . remote pc
    need install realvnc and java jre ( try install java version 7 )
    version 3.0.3 - for IE need IE 9 and above.

  • Problem with ADP in Oracle Enterprise Manager

    Hi
    I have a issue with ADP installation in OEM 12c.
    I installed manager and agent successfully, but through the OEM console i'm not able to see any performance and load inside ADP.
    It only shows the servers and deployed application in target (agent) at the left side of the ADP window (in OEM console) except that it doesn't provide any information related to war, ear files and its servlets and jsp pages.
    Do anyone know why my ADP is not providing information related to the applications.

  • Shell script called from .sql fie in oracle concurrent manager

    Hi
    I am running a request set through Oracle concurrent manager.
    The manager calls a .sql file. The sql file internally calls a unix shell script.
    v_body VARCHAR2(10000);
    v_body is set as followed in the sql program.
    v_body := 'ATTENTION :' || CHR(10) || CHR(10) ||
    'Your invoice number ' || r_error_rec.invoice_num || ' cannot be paid at present due ' ||
              'to one of the following reasons:' || CHR(10) || CHR(10) ||
              ' - The Purchase Order number quoted on the invoice is invalid ' || CHR(10) ||
              ' - The Purchase Order number has not been quoted at all on the invoice' || CHR(10) ||
              ' - The Purchase Order number is missing on one or more of the lines on the invoice' ||
              CHR(10) || CHR(10) ||
              'To avoid any further payment delays, please advise us of the correct Purchase ' ||
              'Order number(s) by emailing ' || r_error_rec.sender || '. Please note that it is not ' ||
              'necessary to re-submit the invoice.' || CHR(10) || CHR(10) ||
              'If you do not know the Purchase Order number, please contact the employee ' ||
              'who ordered your goods/services for this number. For future reference please note that ' ||
              'it is the responsibility of the vendor to ensure that an approved Purchase Order ' ||
              'number is received before supplying goods/services to . The purchase order is ' ||
              'evidence that the order has been approved by management.' || CHR(10) || CHR(10) ||
              'This invoice will be held as pending until the valid Purchase Order number can be provided.' || CHR(10) || CHR(10) ||
              'Thank you,' || CHR(10) || CHR(10) || ' Accounts Payable' || CHR(10);
    The sql now calls a unix shell script as shown below.
              l_request_id := fnd_request.submit_request (
                                            'CFI',                                   'CFIECAPEMLSH',                         NULL,                              NULL,                              FALSE,                              r_error_rec.sender,                          v_recipient,                              v_ccrecipient,                          v_bccrecipient,                          v_subject,                                   v_body,                                   v_attachment
    So here the problem i am facing is that the shell script is not getting called.
    If i keep v_body= 'Test' the shell script is called and program is working fine.
    Is it a problem with CHR(10) or the size limitation of v_body i dont know.
    I tried to keep v_body VARCHAR2(10000).
    Still it did not work.
    Plz help me if u know about this.

    You cannot have varchar2 > 4000.

  • Installing Oracle Access Manager - 11.1.1.5

    Hi
    I am very new to Identity Management and have been trying to set Oracle Access Manager in Windows XP.
    Downloaded ofm_iam_generic_11.1.1.5.0_disk1_1.zip from OTN.
    I cannot find the RCU for 11.1.1.5 version from the website directly. All I could see is only RCU for 11.1.1.3 and 11.1.1.2 version.
    Can anyone send me the download link for RCU 11.1.1.5 and step by step installation guide for setting up Oracle Access Manager.
    I tried creating OAM Domain after installing IDM Suite and running RCU 11.1.1.3 version.
    When I run the WebLogic and OAM server I am getting error
    Caused By: oracle.security.am.common.policy.admin.PolicyManagerException: oracle.security.am.c
    policy.admin.PolicyManagerException: OAMSSA-06251: Unsupported policy store version detected.
    ed "11.1.1.5.0" but found "11.1.1.3.0".
    Also unable to login to OAM console.
    Thanks,
    Ram

    Daren,
    Do you have OAM 11.1.1.3 running and now you wish to upgrade it to 11.1.1.5 or
    You wish to install new 11.1.1.5 ?
    If this is later then better you should use 11.1.1.5 RCU to create schema as this is straight and easy process with no upgrade.
    If you are running 11.1.1.3 and wish to upgrade to 11.1.1.5 then there are steps to apply 11.1.1.5 oatch in My Oracle Support(earlier metalink) Procedure to Upgrade OAM 11.1.1.3.0 to OAM 11.1.1.5.0 [ID 1318524.1

  • Problem installing Oracle Identity Manager Server  9.1

    Hello,
    I try to install oracle identity Manager Server 9.1, but I'm having a problem.
    Oracle identity manager 9.03 is already installed with jboss-4.0.3SP1 and j2sdk1.4.2_15
    and oracle 10.2.0
    So I follow these steps to clean out the db:
    1. Drop tablespace: drop tablespace oimtbs including contents;
    2. Drop user: drop user oimuser cascade;
    and ran prepare_xl_db.bat as instructed. No errors in the log.
    I ran the DiagonasticDashboard : the db setup was fine.
    When I ran the installer "setup_server.exe", i haved this message :
    Folowing Error occured during schema creation
    Error encountered while loading database script
    E:\OIM_Install\OIM9100\installServer\Xellerate/db/oracle/xell.sql
    Please contact your DBA!
    maximum key length (1478) exceeded
    Does anybody have any idea what this error is about ?
    Thanks.

    Index IDX_LKV_LKV_ENCODED on Table LKV (Column :- LKV_ENCODED - VARCHAR2(3000)) is failing on 2k block size. Though all the Indexes are working fine with the 4k block size.
    But OIM Dev team recommends to create the 8k block size for the Index storage.
    Because the blocksize affects the number of keys within each index node, it follows that the blocksize will have an effect on the structure of the index tree. All else being equal, large blocksizes will have more keys, resulting in a flatter index than the same index created in a 2k tablespace. A large blocksize will also reduce the number of consistent gets during index access, improving performance for scattered reads access.
    HOW TO CREATE THE INDEXES IN LARGER BLOCKSIZE TABLESPACE
    In the existing database:-
    Create a tablespace with the 8k blocksize, For Example
    First,
    Set the system cache size for that particular db block size
    sql> alter system set db_8k_cache_size=100M;
    sql> CREATE TABLESPACE db_8k_tablespace DATAFILE 'C:/oracle/product/10.2.0/oradata/8k_file.dbf' SIZE 100M BLOCKSIZE 8192;
    Then
    Reorganize the Index using command:-
    sql> Alter Index <Index_Name> Rebuild tablespace <Tablespace_Name>
