Problem in stack port WLC5670

Since  i mentioned new to this tech,i deployed 2 WLC 5760 in network i connected one  of Stack wise 480 cable in ring type.but my port is down state
when i give show switch stack-port summary both controllers are down state.
What could be the issue can any one suggest me.
Apart from the above issue i configured few of configuration please vlaidate it

why don't you use the "Out Port" and In Port" sub.vis?
I use these ones for Win9x; WinNT & W2k. The only thing you need to know - you need for NT + W2k additional patches (accesshw) - if needed, you can have it from me - write to: [email protected]
Find attached a example, how to use paraport in "parallel" way. This example does not work in bidirectional direction, but I have made more "high end"-ones for direct use of 8255 circuit - this gives direct access to 24 bit at paraport.
Hope this gives some new ideas.

  • Blocked Stack Ports on 2960X-48FPD-L Stack (Unstable Switch Stack!) Spanning Tree?

    I am having an issue where 2 2960X-48FPD-L Switches in a redundant flexstack (stack port 1 SW1 to port  2 SW2 and port 2 SW1 to port 1 SW2) ring. 
    At first running the 15.0(2).EX5 (and earlier EX3, and EX4) version IOS yielded all the ports on the stack master switch refusing to run spanning tree and would only link in amber and not pass any traffic other than CDP information (the slave switch linked in fine). 
    I upgraded to 15.2(3)E and this solved the problem of the ports not linking in green and participating in spanning tree. 
    Now, however, about every week or two I lose connectivity to the switch stack and I was able to go to the switch stack locally and found that for some reason the switch stack is blocking and unblocking VLANs on StackPort1 frequently (see below).  When I was at the site, I sometimes had connectivity, sometimes not.  A stack hard reboot brought everything back up, but this is the second time this has occurred and I would expect the same problem in the next week or so. 
    Has anyone else run into these issues, and have you found a solution?
    I'm guessing that if I either get rid of the redundancy on the switch stack or stack using Ethernet cables between switches the problem will go away, but then what is the point of using stackable switches in a non redundant low speed stack.  It seems to me that Spanning tree thinks that I have a spanning tree loop going on with the stack ports which I didn't even think was possible.   
    What do you think?

    We have also the same problem with our 2960-X switches (access) connecting to a pair of 4500x (VSS) except our issue is with Portchannel with 2 physical links connecting the 2960xs to the 4500.
    If we disconnect one of the physical links from the portchannel everything works fine, but when we connect the same physical link back all users lose connectivity and the physical link starts flapping. Here are some of the messages we see in the logs when both physical links are in the portchannel:

  • Chart - problem with stack

    Hello,
    Ive got 3 problems with stack plots:
    1. In the legend, the first value of table is the last one, why?
    2. Always when i remove one value(in this case i turn off button), the last chart is remove
    3. When I turn off the second button(rest is on), the plot name in legend is doubled.
    Does anyone have an idea what i can do with this?

  • N-Queens Problem Using Stacks Help

    I'm trying to solve the N-Queens problem using Stacks. Quite frankly, I'm completely lost.
    Here's the pseudocode from the book:
    "Push information onto the stack indicating the first choice is a queen in row 1, column 1.

    Check whether the most recent choice (on top of the stack) is in the same row, same column, or same diagonal as any other choices (below the top). If so, we say there is a conflict: otherwise, there is no conflict.

    First off I'll address this:

        }Notice the last line of that. I get what you're trying to do, but think about what the compiler sees there. If you have two variables called 'n', one at the class level, and one at the method level, the compiler must have rules so it knows which one you're talking about. And if it follows those rules, then saying 'n' inside that method must always refer to the same n. Otherwise, how would it decide which one you're talking about? The rule here is that it uses the most local variable available to it, which in this case is your method parameter. So 'n = n' is setting the parameter equal to itself. To refer to the class variable n, use "this.n", like so:
    this.n = n;Now that that's settled, let's address some logic. You'll need to figure out whether two Queens share a diagonal. I can think of at least a couple options for that. First, every time you look at a Queen you could loop through the entire board and make sure that if a piece is in r3c4, that no piece is in r2c3,r4c5,r5c6, etc. Or you could create a new variable for your class similar to your 'row' and 'column' variables that tracks the diagonal a piece is in. But that requires some calculating. And remember, there's 2 directions for diagonals, so you'll need 2 diagonal variables.

    So those could be your variables to track diagonals. What I'm noticing in your current code, is that you never change your row and column variables...so every Queen is always at r0c0. You should probably put values for those in your parameters for the constructor, in addition to n. Then the diagonals can be calculated from those.

  • 3750ME - does the stack-port work?

    I have an application for a 2-switch stack of 3750ME.
    I read somewhere on CCO that stacking is not supported on the "ME" flavor although the stack ports exist.
    Can anyone tell me:-
    a) why its not supported
    b) if it works at all
    Is it codified or is it an engineering recommendation?

    As Thomas pointed out, 3750 ME doesn't supports Stacking.

    A. No. At this time, the Cisco Catalyst 3750 Metro Series does not include StackWise stacking capability and cannot stack with other Cisco Catalyst 3750 Series Switches. The Cisco Catalyst 3750 Metro Series does contain StackWise stack ports, but they are not supported.
    Q. Does the Cisco Catalyst 3750 Metro Series have Cisco StackWise technology?
    A. Yes. The Cisco Catalyst 3750 Metro Series does have Cisco StackWise technology, but there is no plan to support this feature.
    It does includes the stacking interfaces but looks like this is disabled in the IOS code itself, meaning the switch does has the capability but must be disabled in the IOS.

  • Sg500x stacking - can you LAG stacking ports?

    I have 2 questions about stacking with the sg500x switch.  We have 3 of them.
    question #1 - can we LAG two stacking ports together, to increase the stack bandwidth to 20gbps?  I'd like the increased bandwidth, and you can LAG the regular 10G ports together but the manual and the admin UI doesn't appear to support two stacking connections between two switches.
    question #2 - the manual indicates that you can configure all 4 10G ports as regular or stacking ports as needed.  However, after digging a bit it appears this may be an error in the documentation.  Elsewhere in the documentation it mentions that by setting the stack configuration to "standalone" the 2 stacking ports will automatically be reclaimed as standard non-stacking ports.  So that explains how to get all 4 configured as regular ports, but how do I configure all 4 ports as stacking ports?  Of course, this doesn't matter with my configuration if I can't LAG two stacking ports together.  My hope was to have 2 10G ports to each switch from each of the other 2 switches.  Like this:
    switch A S1 & S2 <->  switch B S1 & S2
    switch A S3 & S4 <-> switch C S1 & S2
    switch B S3 & S4 <-> switch C S3 & S4

    Thanks for the response. I did as you suggested, re-configured all 3 as standalone, then setup ports XG1 & XG2 in a LAG on switches A & B and connected them with 2 SFP-H10GB-CU1M SFP+ Copper Cable modules.  Interestingly, the LAG speed shows as 1000M when I would have expected it to show as 10G.  I haven't run tests yet to determine if this is just a display issue or what.
    I intend to then connect switch A & C using a LAG on ports XG3 & XG4 using SFP-10G-SR SFP+ optical module.
    FYI - the documentation wording which was a bit confusing was on page 51 of the 500 Series Admin Guide.  Under "stack ports" it had this text,
    "You can manually reconfigured S1/S2 and S3/S4 as network ports or stack ports as desired.  All the stack ports on a device operates in standalone mode will automatically become regular Ehternet network ports."
    This suggested to me that all 4 ports could potentially be configured as stack ports. The wording could be a bit more precise.

  • Aggregate Bandwith of Stacking two Sg500 using both stacking ports?

    Is the bandwidth 2Gbps when using both stacking ports to connect just two switches together?

    No. If you're using both ports in a two-switch stack, you're using a ring topology and Fast Stack Link Failover will cause the inactive link to be used if the active one fails. Only 1Gb of bandwidth will be available on a single link.
    If you want to maximize the bandwidth between the stack members and the switches have close physical proximity, you can use dedicated copper stacking cables (SFP-H10GB-CU1M) to get 5Gb out of each link.

    Hi! I just got an iPod and I am having problems with it. My computer doesn't have a Hi-Speed USB port, even if it's 9 months old. Some of my friends don't have it either but they still are able to transfer songs onto their iPod. For mine, it keeps saying "Do Not Disconnect." I waited for 5 hours last time I got it and it still isn't working.
    I also updated my iPod software today and the iPod icon isn't appearing on the bar to the left in iTunes. I'd really appreciate any help on this! As well as if I really need to do something about the ports or if it could function like this normally.

    just this Macbook air that I just bought is not allowing the hub to work.
    The devices plugged into the Macbook air work ok when directly into the computer?
    I called APPle Care and they said no issues but I read on Amazon and GOOGLE others
    are complaining about using Hub with the air not working but Apple care Senior advisor
    says no issues so what can I do?
    I will take it in to Apple to check the Computer out with this hub and see if it is the hub on another

  • If you're having problems with USB ports, read on...

    i'm reading that alot of people on here are having problems with their front (or top) usb on their cases not working with their k7n2 boards.  i have come across the correct solution to this problem in one of the posts (after having solved the problem on my own), however noone has posted the solution by itself on this forum so everyone can easily see it.
    The trick is to make sure that pin 10 (at least on a K7n2 delta-L), the pin labeled USBOC (USB Open Connection), is wired to NOTHING.  If the connector to your front usb ports is fused into one giant connector and it HAS a wire that will connect to this pin (labeled GND2 or Shield or something), CUT THAT WIRE.  Pin 10 on JUSB2 (at least on a K7n2 delta-L) must be OPEN.  If this pin IS connected to something (even if it is only GND), the motherboard will think something is connected to this usb port and you will get many unknown devices listed in your windows device manager and the rest of your usb ports may or may not work.
    As a general rule of thumb, if a pin on a motherboard is labeled OC for "Open Connection" and you wire something to it, you're asking for trouble.
    If you cannot understand this you should not be attempting to wire a motherboard in the first place. 
    Here is a picture to go along with this discussion.  If you cannot see this picture, I am sorry for it has probably been removed from the place I posted it online as I cannot attach pictures physically to this post.  If someone here has a way to permanently host this picture and post it to this thread permanently, that would be wonderful.
    In summary: all usb ports/headers have only four pins associated with it (VCC, USB+, USB-, GND).  If the connector (whether it's one big connector or individual sockets) to your front/top usb port has 5 sockets, don't connect the 5th socket to anything.  That goes for any case/motherboard combination.  This is what i'm talking about above.  I have no idea why motherboard and case manufacturers have a 5th pin involved in any way on either the pin or socket side.  It is not used for usb.
    EDIT:  I just noticed this has already been discussed in the trouble shooting guide in the above sticky post.  oh well, now we have a pretty picture to go along with it (i hope).

    as promised I come back here to give the results of my tests... and I have to say that you saved my day (even if I had to open back 60 secured cases).
    So the solution was the right one, when I unplugged the "ground" end of the front USB connector cable from the USBOC pin, those connectors finally worked as expected with USB 2.0 compliant devices.
    So thank you really much for this very usefull information !
    And even if maybe it's not only MSI's fault, I still believe that more information on those connectors in the user's manual would be really usefull (who knows what USBOC means except a few people and who could imagine that pluggin on it a "ground" cable would make it unserviceable ??). And who ever saw a user's manual bundled with a case ?? it's pretty unusual  
    Hope that someone at MSI will read that and take it into consideration, not for me (because now I'm aware) but for the thousands other consumers that will feel a little bit "annoyed" with that issue. I don't think that adding one line about it in user's manuals would be so much expensive  
    But I'm quite lucky myself... being able to understand and write english (even if I still have some progress to do  ) gave me the possibility to find the solution... but a lot of my french fellows can't do that... and there's no french forum here... How can they do ? They rely on user's manual

    So I recently got a Macbook Pro Retina and I'm having some trouble with my USB ports especially when syncing my ipod is involved. For some reason, the ipod has trouble connecting and it fluctuates from connecting to not connecting and sometimes, the computer says USB devices are disabled. I've looked this up before and tried the PRAM reset or whatever, but it still doesn't work. I'm not really sure what's going on because when I try to charge the ipod with a wall charger, it works perfectly fine. However, trying to charge it with my computer is a different story. I've tried charging my ipod from both sides of the port but it still does not work. (Also can someone explain how to know whether the USB is 3.0 or 2.0?) Thank you:) This problem does not involve my ipod because I recently just got it back from servicing.

    I went through all said steps.
    It is not acknowledging the fact that I have my iPod plugged in at all under the Universal Serial Bus. Or that fact that the USB port is plugged in.
    Any more advice??

  • Problem with USB port in HP 15-G009AX

    I have a HP 15-G009AX notebook with windows 8.1 (64 bit). Previously all USB ports were working fine when I had the 32 bit version of windows 8.1. After installing the 64 bit version, one of the USB 2.0 ports on the right hand side is not working properly. When I plug in an external HDD, there is no response at all from the system (the HDD light does come on). Also, when I plug in a USB mouse, it gives me an Error 43 ( says "Device decryptor request failed" in Device manager ). I have tried uninstalling all USB devices and restared my laptop several times. My sister has the same laptop which had Windows 8.1 32 bit earlier on which I installed Windows 8.1 64 bit and all the ports are working fine on that. kindly do help me out.

    Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!
    I understand a USB port is not working on your computer, due to a 43 error in Device Manager. This error normally indicates a that the device has failed, for one reason or another. I will see what I can suggest!
    If you follow the steps in this Microsoft document, you should be able to fix this error: Code 43: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems
    If that doesn't help, you may want to reinstall the OS. A problem may have occurred because something went wrong with the installation of Windows 8.1 64-bit.
