Problem in Sybase Metadata accessor information
Hi!
I am accessing Sybase database thru JConnect 5.5. If I try to access Metadata information, it throws the following exception. As per JConnect documentation, to access metadata info, one has to run a stored procedure i.e., sql_server.sql(for versions lesser than sybase 12.0 - I am using sybase 11.0.1) which is available with JConnect 5.5. I did the same. But still I am not able to access the metadata information. It throws the following Exception:
java.sql.SQLException: JZ0SJ: Metadata accessor information was not found on this database. Please install the required tables as mentioned in the jConnect documentation.

The docs are saying:
To support JDBC DatabaseMetaData methods, Sybase provides a set of stored procedures that jConnect can call for metadata about a database. These stored procedures must be installed on the server for the JDBC metadata methods to work.
If the stored procedures for providing metadata are not already installed in a Sybase server, you can install them using one of two stored procedure scripts provided with jConnect:
sql_server.sql installs stored procedures on an Adaptive Server database.
sql_anywhere.sql installs stored procedures on an Adaptive Server Anywhere database.
I executed the script but i am still facing the same problem.

RaymondI did a little searching on the Sybase website.
It appears that you must run a few scripts during server installation.
'sql_server.sql (ASE) or sql_asa.sql (ASA)'
However I do not know Sybase. Seems this would be a good place to search for the answer:

you it
can't find the stored procedures it needs. I suggest making a JDBCconnection
in a small standalone program using the Sybase dirver directly withno

We have problems with Sybase Database for Collection Manager in a SCE2020. The status is:

We restored the Sybase database, but we have problems to access the database from Collection Manager and we can't obtain reports from SCE 2020.

Problems Filtering by Metadata
Are there known problems filtering by Metadata is PSE 7?
I have a few thousand photo's in my collection, and want to be able to filter by the camera they were shot on.
Some of my pictures are from a Panasonic Lumix compact (I'm able to see that data in the exif properties on the shots I know are from that camera : Make = Panasonic, Model = DMC-LX2).
However, when I set "Find - By Details" to Camera Make contains "Panasonic", I only get some of the correct pictures. The ones it is showing (around 53) are correct (so no false positives), but I know there are many it's missing. I have located several which have metadata which should be a match and they're definitely not coming back in the search.I imported that pic into a test catalog, and Find > By Details > Camera Make = Panasonic found it.
I suspect that what's stored internally in the PSE catalog is different than what the Properties pane is showing under Camera Data (Exif). To troubleshoot this:
1. Make a new test catalog with File > Catalog > New and import a problem pic into it. Does the problem still occur?
2. In the main catalog, select the problem pic and do Edit > Update Thumbnail, which causes PSE to reread metadata from the pic back into the catalog (except for keyword tags). Does the problem still occur with that pic? -
Adobe Muse - Big problems with SEO/Metadata?

I recently completed mysite using adobe muse but I'm having major problems with the metadata tool, essentially it does not work.
I cannot find my site anywhere on google unless I type in the domain itself despite the fact that I have inserted a full description and several keywords. When it does appear the description isn't what it's supposed to be. Rather than take the actual description it just takes a paragrapgh from my site.
Does the metadata option on Adobe Muse actually work? Has anyone used it successfully. Seems to be a major flaw in the Adobe Muse product.Thanks so much sir but a few more questions..(I am a Wordpress user) Where do I find or how do I *** " semantic properties to your pages by creating paragraph styles, applying them, and then choosing the tag type in the paragraph style options. I am trying to learn this Muse..seems very positive but I cannot figure out how to do seo with muse as I have not figured out where to insert Meta info , header info or tags like i can with WordPress. Do you have any suggestions on this...also, have you had any luck with contact forms in Muse?..is it possible to export some of the new widget features of Dreamweaver CS6 into muse somehow.

If you notice the text for below one it is PO Number where Number starts with upper-case N and it iis not the one which you changed.
Also this is a hyperlink to sales header order data screen.

BIB - problem with retrieving metadata

When I'm trying to run sample bibdemo, I receive messages that connection to Olap Service was established but failed to retrieve metadata

SlawekSorry but with the limited information it is difficult to figure out the problem. However, my first question would be do you have the Windows 9.2.0.2.1 patch set installed correctly? A lot of users have failed to perform the Post Install steps from the readme such as running catpatch.sql. (Understandably so because the readme is HUGE!) Please take a look at my post on this OLAP forum with the title "9.2.0.2 Patch". There you will find abbreviated install instructions regarding the 9.2.0.2.1 patch set. Make sure you have actually completed the install process.
Also, the BI Beans have posted on OTN a client configuration diagnostic utility. The purpose of it is to gather information about your configuration that will help you and Oracle Support Services diagnose problems. You can find it at the following OTN link:

Problem with reading MP3 tag information
This may be a simple fix, but I'm having no luck figuring it out. I've got an application here that scans through a given directory for all files. We are going to assume that all files below the given parent directory are *.mp3 files. Every file we find is going to have its path stored into an ArrayList. After the ArrayList is created, we will then through the ArrayList, getting the String value which is a path to our MP3 file.
The application works well when I am simply printing out the ArrayList to the console. It's printing out everything in the ArrayList. The ArrayList consists of both directories and paths to actual files. The problem comes when I am trying to take the String from the ArrayList, pass it into my getID() method. Here is the code. i've commented the line in my main method that is giving me problems.

If I type in an actual String that is a path to an MP3, such as:

Exporting Metadata (caption information) from JPEGS to a comma separated value (CSV) file
Here is my dilemma. I am an archivist at an arts organization and we are in the process of digitizing many of our materials to post them on the web and make them available to internet users. One of the principle components of our collection is a large trove of photographs. We have been in the process of digitizing these images and embedding metadata (in the Caption/Description, Author/Photographer and Copyright fields) via PhotoShops File Info command.
Now I am at a crossroads. We need to extract this metadata and transfer it into a comma separated value form, like an Excel spreadsheet or a FileMakerPro database. I have been told that it is not possible to do this through PhotoShop, that I must run a script through Acrobat or Bridge. I have no clue how to do this. I have been directed to a couple of links.

The BSExportMetadata script allegedly exports the metadata from files selected in Adobe's Bridge into a comma separated value (CSV) file suitable for import into Excel, Access and most database programs. It installs as a Bridge menu item making it simple to use. The the Export Metadata script provides you with an easy to use wizard allowing you to select associated information about a set of images that you can then export. This script requires Creative Suite 2 (CS2). This script sounds like it does exactly what I want to do, but unfortunately, it no longer exists.
Then I found this:

I tried this procedure, but nothing seemed to happen. I also tried to copy the script into the JAVASCRIPT action option in Acrobat, but I received a message that the script had an error. We have about 2000 jpeg and tiff files, so I would rather not go through each file and copy and paste this information elsewhere. Problems with Sybase 12 to Oracle 10g migration

I'm using SQL Developer to test a migration between Sybase and Oracle and it doesn't work (both online and offline)
I've create a dedicated user account and connection, with the roles and privileges required (as seen in http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B32485_01/doc/appdev.110/b31695/migration.htm#i1005739)
I've created the migration repository without any problems (using the above user account).
QUICK MIGRATION
- select the source Sybase connection: OK
- select the target Oracle connection: OK
- select the referential: OK
- verify privileges before migration: OK
- migrate tables only and click Next

CAPTURE SOURCE SYBASE DATABASE
- right click on the Sybase connection in the Connections pane
- choose Capture Sybase

I can't find any relevant logs or trace from the application.
I even tried to use the capture file sybasemigration.zip from the "Migrating a Sybase Database to Oracle Database 11g" web page (http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/hol08/sqldev_migration/sybase/migrate_sybase_otn.htm), but the result was the same.
Does anyone encountered the same problems? Does someone knows where are the logs (if any)?

What version of SQL Developer are you using?
Can you browse your Sybase connection in SQL Developer, to see its tables for example?
If not, then you may need to point SQL Developer to your JTDS 1.2 driver again.
Are you capturing a non system database ? SQL Developer wont migration master or tempdb ...
Can you try running SQL Developer from the command line and watch the command line for any errors during the capture.

Problem with SharePoint metadata (People Picker) in Adobe Reader X.
Have a problem related metadata that is in SharePoint 2010 when I try to upload a PDF from Adobe Reader X (Online site). I have a few mandatory fields such as; Document Owner, Document Type, Date, etc..
When I save the PDF to a document library, so fetches Adobe metadata from the designated document library. I am forced to fill in my field, but when I get to document owner field the people picker don´t work. So I can not complete the transfer/upload of the
document.
Any ideas or solutions?!?!

What did you mean for “upload a PDF from Adobe Reader X (Online site)”? Whether you mean that the SharePoint 2010 site is an online site.
Per my knowledge, when you upload document into SharePoint, the metadata of the documents cannot upload to SharePoint. If you are using a third solution or party tool, I suggest you ask the third solution or party tool support for help.
In addition, I am not an Adobe Reader expert, I suggest you ask the Adobe Reader support for help.
