Problem in test run of dep

I am posting dep for the year 2010 in repeat run for only one one asset code the system is showing no document is generated, & it's not showing any error also. what do i do.

Its normaly which period u r posting let me know.if u r running first period dep or 12 period.
if u r running first period we should give first period for planned dep only
when u r running 12 period u should go by batch input session only.now u have select unpanned radio button
I think for this u have to use tc afab.

Hello this is the my problem.
While runninf AFAB test run is successful but no document is getting posted.
Data :
Dep key assigned ZEIN
Cal Methods Assigned :
Base Method 014 Period Control 01 Multilevel ZEI(4.75% of Dep)
Asset Values is there even tthough why I couldnt get the document after AFAB in test mode.
Plz advice ASAP.

Did you look at the spool in SM37 after you ran the transaction to see if it indicated any problems?
Had you run ASKB (or ASKBN) first before running AFAB?

i am trying to run automated tests
i follow the steps in the web but when i have 2 issues that does not solve
1. i created console project and add build definition without drop folder and queue builds that success.
2. i created C# unit test and add build definition and run it from VS and it worked and done what i want to do.
3. i built lab with 1 machine and define the controller on this pc ( the machine in the lab is another pc)
4. i created test suite with test cases and from vs 2013 i associated automation nethod that i created in 2.
5. when i try to associate the builds for the test plan i have a PROBLEM(1):
this happened every new build that i try to assign - all the builds appears after refresh and when i press assign to plan button
a pop up shown with error : " The build that you selected for this plan no longer exist " but he chose it in build in use but there no work item under it - the list is empty even that there are 2 tests under this test suite.
and than when i try to run the automated tests i have this PROBLEM(2):
The build directory of the test run either does not exist or access permission is required. and the test failed.

Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.
According to the error message:
(1) a pop up shown with error : " The build that you selected for this plan no longer exist "
I tried to create a build definition without the drop folder location for unit test solution from the VS IDE, and then I try to select the Build in use option to add the Available builds, then click this Assign to plan. I found that I get same error message
with yours like the following screen shot.
However, when we try to create a build definition with drop folder location for this same unit test solution and then build successfully in the VS IDE.
After you add the Available builds and then click this Assign to plan in the MTM, it work fine.
Therefore, I assume that the issue is related to that you did not specify a build directory for automated test case. MTM need to know where is the drop location of the build building your tests.

In addition, I did some research about the problem 2:"The build directory of the test run either does not exist or access permission is required. and the test failed."
I know that the error message occur in either of the following conditions:
1. The account under which test controller is running does not have read permission on the build directory. (The build directory is same as the drop location of build associated with this test run.)
2. The build directory itself does not exist.
So please refer the following blog to check this issue:

Therefore, I suggest you can try to specify a drop location for build when you run the automated test from the MTM and then check this issue.

If you receive this message when starting the notebook, try the following.
Shut down the notebook. Tap away at f10 as you start the notebook to enter the bios menu. Under the Advanced or Diagnostic tab you should find the facility to run a test on the Hard Drive. Post back with the details of any error messages.
If you receive this message while Windows is running , click the Start Menu, click Computer, left click Local Disc C once to highlight it, right click Local Disc C and select Properties. Click the Tools tab and then click the button to 'Check the Drive for Errors'. In the following window make sure both boxes are ticked and then click Start. Agree to schedule the check at the next system restart and then restart the notebook - this process can take a couple of hours to complete before loading back into Windows.

Problem in Payment Run with Debit Memos

Hi Every one
I am facing the problem in payment run in which vendor debitmemos were picked up but they are in the exception list. I was observing it in various vendors and have tested in QA that as well when there is an invoice to be paid these debit memos automatically adjustedagainst those invoice and hence net amount is being paid. The problem is these debit memos were generated in exceptional list about an year ago but at that time they were not considered in payment as they had no invoice against it to net off. But after that everytime they run payment run they come in this exceptional although there is invoice against them to net off the payment. Can any body help me out in this regard what could be the possible reason for this and any solution for this. Thanks in advance.

In F110 while enteingr the parameters in the free selection choose the document number in the Field name
and give the document numbers of only invoices. dont include the debit meoms.
then you will not get the exception list at all.

Problem in Depreciation Run.

Hi Experts,
During depreciation test run I am getting the below errors in error log.
1) Account 'Acc.dep. accnt.for ordinary depreciation' could not be found for area 20
2) Message(s) when structuring line items for document number ERROR00001
Message no. AAPO510.

Hi,
You have not maintained the GL account for Accum Dep - Ordinary Dep to the asset in AO90.
Please go to AO90 and enter your COD->Your COA->Account Determination->Select your Account Determination Key->Depreciation-> Enter the GL account Number for Acc.dep. accnt.for ordinary depreciation
SAVE and now run the AFAB.

AFAR test run showing the values but not posting in Real run.

Hi Friends,
i have an issue with AFAR recalculating the depreclation. The details are as below;
1. Asset value date is 15.07.2010. but ordinary dep. start date was set as 01.01.2010 manually by the user.
2. The Period control method 11, the dep. is calculated for entire year for acquisition.
3. we have already calculated depreciation from period 12 2010 to period 04, 2011.
4. Now, we have changed ordinary depreciation start date for 5 asset records from 01.01.2010 to 15.07.2010.
5. Therefore, we recalculated AFAR for these assets for 2010 and test run is showing the values for these 5 asset. The same was expected by the business.
6. When we execute the real run, it is not posting and no change in asset explorer for period 12, 2010 or in current period. No error message is available in spool / job log.
We have opened FI periods as well.
My question is that why the system calculating the values in test run and if it is calculated in test run, why it is not posting in update run?
As per the period control method, the depreciation should not recalculated for half year even we change the ordinary dep,start date from 1st Jan to 15th July.
I request you to clarify my doubt and help me to understand the error which is stoping the values in update run of AFAR.

Sorry...it is not worked out. Alternatively, i tried the shift factor with variable depreciation and i achieved the values which appeared in AFAR test run.

Remove test run from Load Test Manager in Visual Studio Online Load Testing

I have been using the Visual Studio Online Azure load testing for a while now, and I have a number of test runs that I would like to remove. I am not referring to my local Load Test Results Store (on-premise SQL DB), as I can remove test runs no problem.
I mean, how to remove them from "the cloud" so we can no longer re-download the test results.

've recently upgraded to FireFox v22.0. Originally, a legacy XBAP I use always opened correctly in FireFox and had no problems displaying or running. As of v22.

I have the windows Presentation Foundation 3.5.30729.1 installed, which is the same version I have been using in older versions.

Hi, I have a similar problem. I did attempt the *.rdf fix on a test system, but it didn't work (em:maxVersion was already 22).
We got about inflow of phone calls from our clients experiencing the problem mentioned above from the 2nd of July onwards... and more are phoning in.
All the complaints come from clients (+- 10 so far and rising in number) using Firefox v22 (we have checked), and all of them have said that it was working previously.
We downgraded one of the clients to an older version of Firefox, and it worked again. So far we are telling our clients to downgrade until a fix comes out, or use Internet Explorer (*blush*)

Test simulation or Test run in program RFBIBL00

I am trying to use the program RFBIBL00 for invoice posting...
I have filled the relevant data in the strucutres and populated the file...
Now i need to simulate/or do a test run to check the data is correct before the actual posting...
There is a checkbox for "Check File Only"... is this checkbox for the same purpose of simulation or test run?
Have anybody done the test run using this program, Do let me know
Also i am getting an error "Not able to open the file"....what could be the problem..(i have created a txt file and placed the same in the presentation server/desktop with some data..still there is an error)

Check file only checks the validity of the data in the file. The file must be sitting in app server.

Error in afab test run in background - very urgent

Friends
I have a problem with one of my clients.
Depreciation ( AFAB) has been run in test mode in foreground. - Run without errors( Successfully)
The same has run in back ground ( TEST MODE), we are getting errors? ( There are no changes of master data)

can u please clarifly this error is before removing test run and executing the deprecaition run in background or
after removing test run and execting the run in background.
If it is after than take the asset which is showing error and for that assets in afabn run the repeat run. and check whether it is giving any errors.. if yes than go to error log and check it.. if not that
again run the run in background.

Asset   Depreciation - In test Run Value got posted

Hi All ,
1. I did the test run in 'AFAB' . SAP throwed the error becasue of some problem in Cost Center.
2. So i fixed that bug and tried again .
3. But when i see the Asset Explorer for that asset '1234', Asset value of the Error Doc got posted in 'Test Run'. How can i able to reverse back that asset value which got posted.
I want to know, why it got posted eventhough i selected the " Test Run ".
I want to reverse back that posted value . (onlyError Doc got posted). Or I want to do the depreciation without this asset number '1234'. How can i block that asset number for not to perform the depreciation.
Kindly advice Pls.

Hi Vivek,
In my experience,
- If you selected "Test Run" then it should be not posted value. So I think there was an accident.
- You cannot reverse depreciation which has been posted.
- If depreciation for asset no : "1234" has been posted , let say in period 11, then when you repeat the depreciation for period 11, system will not post duplicate value. So here are what you have to do :
1. Run AFAB using parameter Reason for Posting Run = "REPEAT RUN". Please tick "TEST RUN"
2. Check wether asset "1234" will be posted again ( See in Column "Amount to be posted").
3. If you're okay with the result then execute AFAB again but now, untick the "TEST RUN".

Test Run with BAPI_PRICES_CONDITIONS

Hi,
I am using BAPI_PRICES_CONDITIONS in my program to create pricing conditions.
BAPI is working fine and it creates pricing conditions. I can see them in VK13 and in table A9**.
The surprising thing is - this BAPI creates pricing conditions in database, even if I am not calling BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT or COMMIT WORK in my program.
In fact, I need to have two options as below in my program:
1) Test Run --> Just to display the return messages from BAPI (no DB update)
2) Create conditions --> Actual creation in Database
Now the problem is that condition records are created in both of these cases.
So, I am not able to achieve functionality of option-1.
Has anyone faced this problem before or can anyone help me in this?

DME format tree - after test run, not displaying file.

Hi experts,
After creating DME format tree , I ran Test run for that. At that time for some format trees, it is displaying the file.
But for some of the format trees , while running test run , the file is not displaying.
Can any one help me out in this problem?
