Problem in the FI-GL Query
Hi,
We activated the data source 0FI_GL_10 nad loaded data into the cubes,we did the necessary configurations required.
We got two standard queries
1) Balance Display
2) Balance : Cumulative,Comparision to Prev Year
we are able to get the data in the 1st query but when we try to execute the second query it is asking for POSTING PERIOD as input and it is mandatory,we enterd the POSTING PERIOD as 05 and when we execute it is diplsaying as "NO APPLICATION DATA".
We checked with the data source in source system and it is not showing the filed POSTING PERIOD for this particular datasource "0FI_GL_10".
Anybody please guide me with a solution.
With Regards,
Praveen
Hi,
The second query is based on a remote cube also. see the below extract:
General Ledger (New): Balances u2013 Cumulated, Comparison with Previous Year, REMOTE
Technical name: 0FIGL_R10_Q0002
Use
How this query is structured and used corresponds to the query General Ledger (New): Balances - Cumulated, Comparison with Previous Year (0FIGL_C10_Q0002). The only difference is that this query is based on the RemoteCube General Ledger (New): Transaction Figures, Remote (0FIGL_R10). This means that you can display cumulated balances in real time with this query. It is not necessary for the data to be replicated in InfoProviders. The data is read from the OLTP system by means of a BAPI.
Check whether this remote cube is installed and in use

Problem with the icon "Display query on the web" in Query Designer
Hi Friends,
I was told by my PM to give them all FI Modules standard business contenet reports, so for that reason i have installed all FI business content & loaded the data in the Dev Server, now i just want to show the reports, but i want excute these reports in Internet Explorer using the Icon "Display Query on the WEB" in query designer, when i click on that it isn't getting displayed in the browser.
the URL coming like this, "http://itcchqbd:8100/sap/bw/BEx?sap-language=EN&bsplanguage=EN&CMD=LDOC&INFOCUBE=0FIAA_C11&QUERY=0FIAA_C11_Q0001&VARIABLE_SCREEN=X&DUMMY=1"
getting the message in the page, the page can't be displayed,
How to solve this problem & how do i have to show the standard business content reports to all FI Superiors ?
awaiting for ur answers
Regards,
BalajiBalaji,
first check if you have enabled web reporting on your BW server ( there is a how to paper for the same )
another way to check out the same is to find out if there are existing web templates being published which would make the server web ready.
As for FI content - activate the FI relevant areas in Business content and then activate the respective datasources and then load the data.. or go trough the best practices for BW-FI ( service.sap.com/bestpractices) wnd then activate the best practices for the same.
Hope it helps.

When you use EXEC() AT, I would execpt to see an SQL string to be passed to EXEC(), but you are passing an XML string????
If you explain why you think this would work in the first place, maybe we can help you.

'&' character creating a problem in the reports query
Hi
I am facing a problem with the '&' character in the reports
The top level reports return data .One field in the top level report contain certain values that have '&' character in it.
When we navigate to the second report,it says "No Data" .
On checking the query at the backend,it displays data as soon as we comment this particular "WHERE" clause containing the '&' character
EG:WHERE Name ="a&b"
the query takes the &' character in "Name" column as an input fileld and hence it fails.
I checked some blogs on this.But all explains on using SET define off/Or use CONCATENATE to iinsert this kind of data
But how do we make the server understand to read this &' character also as a normal text instead of taking it as an input parameter?
Is there anything that can be done at the OBIEE RPD level?
Thanks in advanceHi,

IN EXCUTIVE SQL TASK . I was write the stored proce:
Sp;
reate procedure USP_GETEMP2333
AS
begin
Select eid,ename,dept,salary from emp
end;
create table #temp(eid int,ename varchar(20),dept varchar(20),salary int)
insert into #temp
exec USP_GETMP02333
go.
It was executive correctly.
I was taken another sequence container. In the sequence container iam creating one executive sql
In 2nd excutive sql task: sql statements is
if object_id('emp_fact_sal') is not null
drop table emp_fact_sal
select eid,ename as emp_name,sal_bar=
case when salary<=5000 then 'l'
when salary >5000 and salary<=7000 then 'm'
else
'h'
end
into emp_fact_sal from #temp.
and one falt flies it was taken to designation .
iam changing all connection properties:
in oldeb connection:
in excutive sal task properties .
delay validation is true,
and retain connection maner is also true,
and package mode is 64 bit is false.
But iwas excutive in 2nd excutive ql task .
Iam getting this type of errors,
[Execute SQL Task] Error: Executing the query " if object_id('emp_fact_sal') is not null
drop ta..." failed with the following error: "Invalid object name '#Temp'.". Possible failure reasons: Problems with the query, "ResultSet" property not set correctly, parameters not set correctly, or connection not established
correctly.
Please help meArthur suggestion works but you shouldnt even be doing this on a SQL Task.
Use a data flow task. You'll have better control over the data that is being transfered and get better performance because no staging table will be used.

Urgant problem for the updating problem HELP
Dear sir/miss,On 2008.12.01 one of our partner company consultant,setup an update(SAPKH50016 AND SAPKH50017) page on our production system without and test in the test system.
Now our transaction code CV03N,CV02N,CV01N can not be used,jump out abap problems as below:
It's already give us very big impact to our SAP system,so please tell me how to deal with it.
"Runtime Errors MOVE_CAST_ERROR
Exceptn CX_SY_MOVE_CAST_ERROR
Date and Time 2008.12.02 08:23:43
ShrtText
A dynamic type conflict occurred during reference assignment.
What happened?
Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "CL_EX_DOCUMENT_MAIN02=========CP" had to be
terminated because one of the
statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
date.
is especially useful if you want to keep a particular message.
Error analysis
An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below
. The exception, which is assigned to the class 'CX_SY_MOVE_CAST_ERROR', wa
neither
caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure
"IF_EX_DOCUMENT_MAIN02~D100_BEFORE_PAI" "(METHOD)"
Since the caller of the procedure could not have expected this exception
to occur, the running program was terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
A 'CAST' operation ('?=' or 'MOVE ?TO') tried to assign an object or
interface variable to a reference variable.
However, the contents of the source variable do not fit in the target.
Source type. "\CLASS=ZCL_IM_DOCUMENT_MAIN02"
Target type: "\INTERFACE=IF_EX_DOCUMENT_MAIN02"
How to correct the error
If the error occurred in one of your own programs or in an SAP program
that you modified, try to correct it yourself.
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
use the following search criteria:
"MOVE_CAST_ERROR" CX_SY_MOVE_CAST_ERRORC
"CL_EX_DOCUMENT_MAIN02=========CP" or "CL_EX_DOCUMENT_MAIN02=========CM007"
"IF_EX_DOCUMENT_MAIN02~D100_BEFORE_PAI"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and you wish to send
an error message to SAP, include the following documents:
1. A printout of the problem description (short dump)
To obtain this, select in the current display "System->List->
Save->Local File (unconverted)".
2. A suitable printout of the system log
To obtain this, call the system log through transaction SM21.
Limit the time interval to 10 minutes before and 5 minutes
after the short dump. In the display, then select the function
"System->List->Save->Local File (unconverted)".
3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
supply the source code.
To do this, select the Editor function "Further Utilities->
Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
or which actions and input led to the error.
The exception must either be prevented, caught within the procedure
"IF_EX_DOCUMENT_MAIN02~D100_BEFORE_PAI"
"(METHOD)", or declared in the procedure's RAISING clause.
To prevent the exception, note the following:

A problem with LOV and my query. Help to solve, please...
Hello!
Here is a query:
SELECT FULLNAME||', '||(SELECT NAMEOFGROUP||', '||(SELECT CITY FROM CITY WHERE PRKEY=TLL.CITY) FROM GROUPS TLL WHERE PRKEY=TL.GROUPOF) t ,PRKEY r FROM MINEUSERS TL
In SQL DEVELOPER it works fine. But in APEX - when I try to save my "SELECT LIST" - it falls with error - "If your query contains an in-line query, the first FROM clause in the SQL statement must not belong to the in-line query."
How can I reassemble my query to fix this problem - I have no idea... :(
ThanksYou may create a pipelined function returning two values, display and return, to return
the result from your query. After that, your LOV should work. See example here:

A problem about the policy of RMS which is added more than 500 principals
Hello specialists ,
I've a question about RMS , when I added more than about 500 principals (users & groups ) into a policy in the RMS , it will report an error for any operation about the policy , and I find the error message as followed (for theconvenience, I paste all of the logs in the weblogic).
We have tested all of our environments : Weblogic , JBoss , Websphere , each of them makes the same mistake . those operations include : try to open the documents protected by this kind of policies , to disable or enable the policies, to look the detail from the "adminui" . when decreasing the principals for this kind of policy to almost 450 (I am not sure the clearly number) with java code , the results will be ok .
So anyone can help me ? It's really very important for us , becuase our customer refused to pay the left money of this project till this problem is resolved . and I have reported this problem to the Enterprise Support in Indian (the case is :181916446), but , obviously , it seems they are burning my patience . At the same time , I think it's a problem of the product , I think the SQL is really very bad ,at least , not so good .
Any help will be very appreciated !

No data in WEBI report - but plenty of data in the underlying Bex query...
HI all - I have a problem with my webi queries - which are sometimes breaking...
We run in the XI 3.1 ans SAP int, kit - SP 2 on both.
Sometimes af perfectly well functioning webi report suddenly returns no values - stating that the query didn't find anything. However - if I run the bex query with the same selections I get plenty of data. So there is data. Therefore it might be a Int. kit problem - however, when I bulid a new webi report - similar to the first one, with same dimensions etc. but without all the formatting - It runs fine too!!!!
So it seems like somehow the original webireport has lost the connection to the measueres which it holds - has anyone any idea to what the cause might be and how to fix it?
By the way - I havre refreshed the Universe and there is nothing to update.
BR
JessHi Ingo - the MDX statement from the MDX trace - does not yield any data - However, if I make a similar selection in the BEX, there i data avaiable - so it might be a problem with the how the MDX statement is generated.
I've trouble shooted further and my learnings are so far:
The problem is caused by a combination of 5 dimensions
If you remove either one of the 5 dimensions - the query returnsdata
If you add a specific meausure (a restricted bex key figure) - data is also returned - also in the other measures.
The MDX statement looks like this:
SELECT { [Measures].[D6ZWIC1Q7MOA2YCJM1LAPRQNG], [Measures].[D6ZWIC1Q7MPTG70294GIUMJ70], [Measures].[D6ZWIC1Q7NGQDWFMH0MZ7LEP8], [Measures].[D6ZWIC1Q7NI9R53543I7CG78S], [Measures].[D6ZWIC1Q7NWVQXAK7CQUMKQEK], [Measures].[D6ZWIC1Q7NYF45Y2UFM2RFIY4] } ON COLUMNS , NON EMPTY CROSSJOIN( CROSSJOIN( CROSSJOIN( CROSSJOIN( CROSSJOIN( [0CALMONTH2].[LEVEL01].MEMBERS, [0REPTT].[LEVEL01].MEMBERS ), [0EMPLSGROUP].[LEVEL01].MEMBERS ), [0PAYSCALEAR].[LEVEL01].MEMBERS ), [0ORGUNIT].[LEVEL01].MEMBERS ), [ZBOORGUNT ORGEH 01].[LEVEL00].MEMBERS ) ON ROWS FROM [ZMPHPTGL1/ZDQHPTMN1] SAP VARIABLES [0P_CALMO] INCLUDING [0CALMONTH2].[12] [0P_CALYE] INCLUDING [0CALYEAR].[2009]
Where all the measures in fact are restricted keyfigures from the Bex query. The dimensions are business content characteristics, as are the variables used.
The above MDX statement returns nothing - but if you remover either one of the dimensions in the cross joins - the expected data is returned.
Any ideas to why that happens?
BR

Wireless problem since the "pros" are answering on June 2nd come and answer this
How is there not a recall for this line especially the older ones. Here is my justifiable reason and if anyone else has the same problems key in because the "pros" are looking for today and yesterday only. Then they can't deny that they don't know of any problems with this line.
Well let's begin.
So you might not admit it buy you most definitely know that there are numerous problems with the tx1000 line. Multiple complaints about people not having wifi work. A little less that have constant BSOD. Some booting black screens. Fingerprint stops working etc.
Well mine is wifi does not work. It hasn't been working since 2-3 years ago, just never got enough time to troubleshoot and complain.
The problems are so widespread that there is even the "hair dryer" trick which I did not try. That is how widespread it is. Maybe you might know of another product that has a trick to it that involves a towel? Yeah that's right another product rid with problems, the Xbox 360. But unlike HP Microsoft has admit to their problems and have extended their warranty as well as refund people who have paid. .
I have complained once every year to see if you finally have a recall but never do. I actually never troubleshooted using your steps before because I just didn't have the time. Well since now I have the time, I have decided to do some major testing. I have bought another laptop obviously not HP. It has a Intel 5300 AGN. So what good way to test than to do some swapping. Put in your broadcam wireless into my other laptop. In 2 seconds Windows Generic Drivers install and get it working. Put in Intel 5300 AGN in the tx1000. Um.... yeah doesn't even notice a new card was installed and still have the amber light. Play around installing drivers for it HP Wireless Assistant. Anything. Even updated the Bios. Nothing makes it work while on my other laptop it works perfectly fine. Not just the Intel 5300 AGN but the wireless card that was in the tx1000. What does this mean? It is a board problem which makes sense because the only reason why people could be losing fuctions one by one such as wireless, fingerprint read, SD card reader and come up with Black Screen booting and constant BSOD is a mobo problem. Why haven't HP recalled this line and treat their customers like customers? I don't know but with a move like this they put many previous customers to stop recommending them. I currently have 2 HP Desktops an HP Printer and this tx1000. The 2 desktops broke one way or another. Thankfully both still in warranty which they then are forced to repair. HP Printer works fine which is a miracle. Not a great printer though.
By the way anyone know what the first result is for google when you type tx1000 and see the list. Drumroll......
-tx1000 recall
-tx1000
-tx1000 motherboard
-tx1000 specs
-tx1000 wireless card problems
-tx1000 problems
What do you know don't you think its odd for this laptop that recall tops everything even tx1000 itself and tx1000 specs. Followed by motherboard probably people looking for a replacement motherboard. And after specs is wireless card problems that is guess what, the problem I have. Followed by the general tx1000 problems.
Because of this I have stopped recommending HPs which I have recommended for a long time especially on the printer side. People ask me Dell or HP and I would tell them HP now I say do you have to choose between those two? If you do then go with Dell but ASUS are making some great laptops. For printers I have started recommending EPSON, which I just love their Artisan line.
To show you how widespread this is I have attached a petiton which I did not start but I found.
http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/hp_tx1000_problems/
If you have problems with this line sign the petition even though I am 99% sure it won't do anything. But it will just show others what kind of company HP is. Better yet though reply to this on HPs own forum to show the problems of their tx1000 line
At the time of this posting there are 224 complaints and remember those are just people who found the petition and actually signed it thinking it would have done something. Most probably found it but didn't even bother because what would an online petition do right?
/end rant
Well if you read all this Thank You for your time I guess.
Haha tried to add problems to tags and they don't allow it. What is that?
Bunch of links to problems of same kind posted on HP forums.

Hi,
I'm having a problem with the stabilization all of a sudden. I did an analyze. The amount of shake isn't terrible but it's there. There are no squiggly lines in the clip I'm trying to stabilize. As you can see in the screenshot that it allows me to click the "Smooth clip motion" but the slider is not there for zoom. Any ideas why this is happening all of a sudden? It happens on all clips in this event. The entire event was analyzed after importing.What program are you using for this editing?
We can ask a Host should move your query over to that forum. -
Problems in the creation of a MOLAP Cube with DBMS_AWM.
I want to create a MOLAP Cube with the package DBMS_AWM. So I create the ROLAP Cube and the Dimensions with the Enterprise Manager Website, and all works perfectly. Then I executed the code to create the multidimensional dimensions and the multidimensional cube (awm dimensions/cubes), but I had some problems in the first dimension.
This dimension has the name D_DESTIN, and has the following hierarchy:
+DESTIN_DESC_H3
|
+---DESTIN_DESC_H2
|
+------DESTIN_DESC_H1
|
+---------DESTIN_DESC_H0
The name of the hierarchy is H_D_DESTIN.
The following code is the code that I used to create the first multidimensional dimension:
set serveroutput on
execute cwm2_olap_manager.set_echo_on;
execute dbms_aw.execute ('aw create ''WTESTE''');
execute dbms_awm.create_awdimension('EXEMPLO_OLAP', 'D_DESTIN', 'EXEMPLO_OLAP','WTESTE', 'WD_DESTIN');
execute dbms_awm.create_awdimload_spec('D_DESTIN_LOAD', 'EXEMPLO_OLAP', 'D_DESTIN', 'FULL_LOAD');
execute DBMS_AWM.SET_AWDIMLOAD_SPEC_PARAMETER ('D_DESTIN_LOAD','EXEMPLO_OLAP','D_DESTIN','UNIQUE_RDBMS_KEY','NO');
execute dbms_awm.refresh_awdimension('EXEMPLO_OLAP', 'WTESTE', 'WD_DESTIN', 'D_DESTIN_LOAD');
commit;
execute cwm2_olap_manager.set_echo_off;
execute cwm2_olap_manager.end_log
When I executed the code above, I got the following error:

I donât know what is wrong. The ROLAP Cube is valid according to Oracle Enterprise Manager Website, and it is possible to consult its data with "OracleBI Spreadsheet Add-In"
What is wrong?
Regards,
Rui TorresI executed the same code in a different user and the MOLAP Cube was created successfully.
But, I donât know what is the privilege/role, that permits this second user to create a MOLAP cube with the package DBMS_AWM.

Can some one please tell me what is the problem in the below pl/sql block
Hi, I have problem with the following pl/sql block, I need this with bulk operation.
-- Assume the following scenario, we are validating dept (master) and emp(child) which are my temporary tables and updating the status back to
-- dept ( for all the validation errors, even if we have any validation at child it has to update the header record with error message),
-- upon successful validation insert the data into dept3, and emp3 interms of batches
-- I have give the sample example with dept and emp, but i have around 10 million records which has around 30-40 validations,
-- I would like to process them in terms of batches using bulk collection as this would do fast processing
-- Can some one please tell me how to insert them in terms of bulk with every set of 1000 records in each batch in this example,for every set of 1000 records
-- i need update batch id with unique number in dept table
-- with current data i can have 50 batches , I need to pass, deptno as parameter to my emp cursor.
-- can some one please tell me how to make this validation and insertion more efficient. so that while inserting the data for every batch it should insert batch id
-- Tried with LIMIT clause as well but not working
-- I am correcting the code as per your comments Request you to please suggest me so that I can correct , I am new to PL/sql, started learning now.

Message was edited by: 888025Hi, I have problem with the following pl/sql block
Well, as Hoek already said, that is the understatement of the century.
I can't be absolutely certain but I think that set of DDL and code that you posted has just about every possible error and design issue that there is! It would make an excellent addition to BluShadow's FAQs an an example of what NOT to do.
I don't think it is even possible to 'fix the basics first' as Hoek suggested. IMHO the first step needs to be to create a functional requirements document (FRD) that explains in detail WHAT needs to be done. That doc should also contain info about how any errors/recovery/restart is to be handled. It is premature to try to implement ANY solution without first knowing what is needed functionally.
Once the FRD is done you should do a walk-through based on your current architecture and sample data to make sure that the document really covers ALL of the steps that need to be performed and that it adequately explains how to deal with any processing or data issues that might arise.
The next document you need is the TRD - Technical Requirements Doc that covers the different technical implementions of the FRD that can be done and the advantages/disadvantages of each.
Then you can start working on a prototype.
1. The DDL you posted isn't coherent - there are CREATE table statements and then later ALTER statements that add additional columns. There doesn't appear to be any reason for not including ALL of the columns in the CREATE table statement.
2. You are using PL/SQL types instead of SQL types. That makes it impossible to use those types in SQL statements and makes it much more difficult to test since it is much easier to test a query in SQL (e.g. using sql*plus) that to embed the query in PL/SQL.
3. You are defining the same type twice but giving it different names.
TYPE dept_t
IS
TABLE OF dept%ROWTYPE
INDEX BY binary_integer;
TYPE dept_i_t
IS
TABLE OF dept%ROWTYPE
INDEX BY binary_integer;
Those are both based on the same DEPT table! Why the duplication?
Also you are using associative arrays instead of just using nested tables. Get rid of the INDEX BY clause.
4. You have some serious architectural and data model issues
-- Assume the following scenario, we are validating dept (master) and emp(child) which are my temporary tables and updating the status back to
-- dept ( for all the validation errors, even if we have any validation at child it has to update the header record with error message),
Why would you do that? You say 'it has to update the header record ...'. Says who? That is just one indication that you are trying to implement a 'solution' before you have adequately defined the 'problem'.
Typically you would NOT alter any of the data tables; any validation errors/issues would get inserted into a table specifically designed to hold/log those issues. That table would contain key field values to correlate with the source of the error.
Those 'master' and 'child' entities are two SEPARATE things. Issues with a 'master' row have NOTHING to do with any possible child rows.
And issues with a 'child' row have NOTHING to do with any possible master rows. The ONLY connection between 'child' and 'master' is the foreign key that correlates them.
So you don't necessarily have to validate the 'child' rows in sync with their 'master' row. In many cases you would have a procedure that performs validation of the entire set of 'master' rows and log those issues/problems. You would use a different procedure to validate the entire set of 'child' rows and log their issues.
Those validation procedures can often work with ALL of the data using SQL statements instead of bulk processing.
5. You are using loop constructs that are not valid for the type of processing you are using
LOOP
FETCH c1 BULK COLLECT INTO hdr_tbl;
EXIT
WHEN c1%NOTFOUND;
END LOOP;
There can be NO exit since the bulk collect with either get EVERYTHING or NOTHING. Possibly that is just a holdover from your attempt to use the LIMIT clause but you removed that clause from the FETCH; I don't know.
There is so much wrong with what you posted it is really rather pointless to try to 'fix' it.
I suggest you start over and clarify and DOCUMENT the actual requirements without prejudice about the solution that someone seems to want to force on you. -
Problem using the FederatedSearch / Result set empty
Hello,<br>
<br>
I've the following problem using the FederatedSearch:<br>
In my KM-Folder I've two documents.<br>
I created a simple search AbstractPortalComponent to search in the special KM-Folder.<br>
If the query is "*" I will get the right number of documents.<br>
But If I will access them the iterator is empty...<br>
Please see the code below:<br>

IQueryEntryList qel = sqb.buildSearchQueryList();<br>

response.write("- "+session.getNumberResultKeys()); ### writes 2-ok-<br>
ISearchResultList sresults = session.getSearchResults(1,session.getTotalNumberResultKeys());<br>

ISearchResultListIterator iter = sresults.listIterator();<br>
response.write("> "iter.hasNext()"<br>"); ### writes "false"!???
<br>
while (iter.hasNext())<br>
{<br>
...<br>
}<br>The plan is to be running with more than just two sites (though at the moment I am testing with only two).
What happens is a client comes on-line and requests a list of sites from a router. It then picks one of the sites from the list and adds that as a replication site in the repmgr.
It then goes about opening up the database and doing some other bookeeping. Finally we start the replication manager and once the NEWMASTER event is recieved a sync is done.
So while this DELAYCLIENT/rep_sync is a bit overkill for the two-site test I am doing now, the design I am working towards will be a multi-site setup.
