Problem in the installation process (RESOLVED)

Hi people, I try to install spotify in my computer with windows 7, but the installation process stop working when the program download reach 100%. Any solution? Thanks.

I found this solution for Windows 10 in the support forum: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Help-Desktop-Linux-Windows-Web/Windows-10-and-Spotify-install-crashes-during-installation-fix/td-p/1182709 As for W7: "open up a file browser and in the address field enter %appdata% this will enter the correct path" Going ther and running the install app normally just made it for me. Hope this helps.

I had this problem the best thing to do is make sure you have the Blackdown.org JDK116_v5 for Linux installed. Then:
    JAVA_HOME=/somedirectory/jdk116_v5
    export JAVA_HOME
This fixed the problem for me and I was able to run runIns.sh.

  • Solution: The installation process has encountered an error while installing Shared Technologies

I purchased an upgrade to Elements 11 and Premiere 11 for Windows a couple of days ago. When I tried to install, I received the following error message:
"The installation process has encountered an error while installing Shared Technologies. Please restart your system and try again."
There was an invitation to Troubleshoot using a button that downloaded Adobe Support Advisor. No joy, it didn't find any issues.
I restarted and tried to install again. Same error message. The solutions here didn`t help so I started up a chat with Adobe Support.
The TSR asked me to run  Set-Up.exe in Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 Install\PSE 11\ElementsSTIInstaller. That returned an error about the path being too long. He had me try some other ideas, none worked.
The TSR then asked to do a remote session. After realizing that it would not work from  the install on our server, he copied the PSE11 directory locally. He again ran Set-up.exe from the PSE 11\ElementsSTIInstaller directory. This time it completed!
After that, he ran Setup.exe in the PSE11 directory. This time, the setup completed and I was able to open Elements 11!
Hope this helps someone else who gets this error message!
    Best,
    John

    Welcome to the forum.
Take a look at this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5200642#5200642
That OP found that the problem with their installation was due to Norton running, during the installation, but there are other links, with maybe other solutions.

  • When i try to install i tunes it goes so far down the installation process then i get a message ' could not access network location %APPDATA%\.  Can any one help.

When i try to install i tunes, it goes so far down the installation process and then comes up with a message ' could not access network location %APPDATA%\.  I then retry and it comes up with the same message.
It also tells me i tunes needs 'Quick Time' to support the software.  I have downloaded Quicktime from i tunes seperately and gone through the whole process again, only to get the same message.
    Can anyone please help?

These kind of messages can often be cleared by using the Microsoft Installer cleanup Utility.
Here is a method for cleanup of your old iTunes installation and reinstall.
    == uninstall with cleanup ==
Download a fresh copy of iTunes and the stand alone version of Quicktime (the one without iTunes)
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Save the files on your PC.
Download and install Microsoft Installer cleanup utility, there are instructions on the page as well as the download. Note that what you download is the installer not the program – you have to run it to install the program. The installer doesn't give any message to confirm the installation.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/
(To run the program – All Programs>>Windows Install)
Now use the following method to remove iTunes and its components:
    XP
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925
    Vista or Win 7
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
*If you hit a problem with one of the uninstalls don't worry*, carry on with the deleting of files and folders as directed in the method.
When you get to deleting Quicktime files in the system32 folder as advised in the method, you can delete any file or folder with Quicktime in the name.
    Restart your PC.
Run the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility. (Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up)
Remove any references you find to the programs you removed - strictly speaking you only need to worry about those programs where the uninstall failed.
If you don’t see an entry for one of the programs that did not uninstall, look out for blank entries or numeric entries that look like version numbers e.g. 7.x for Quicktime or 1.x for Bonjour.
    restart your PC
Install the stand alone Quicktime and check that it works.
    If it does, install iTunes.

I get this message: An error occurred during the installation process: error occurred while installing additional adobe packages. when trying to install CS2 InDesign UPGRADE from id 2 on new IMAC 2.4 GHz 4 GB.

Any one else with same issue?

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? (For example, 8007000B.)

I have an error when installing apps on my mac from the apple store. It says "return to the purchase page and try again"... I think it is something to do with the installation process itself. I have tried to clear apple store cache, restarted apple store from debug menu, double checked my apple id account and etc..but doesn't work anyway.

I'm having the same problem and went as far as to delete and reinstall the AppStore and still no dice.

  • Windows cannot start the installation process

I have windows server 2012 datacenter with hyper-v role that I tried to upgrade to R2 RTM.
All went fine until the reboot and the error "windows cannot start the installation process"
I can start windows server 2012
I must say that I used a ISO file using DRAC for the install.
Is there a log to check for errors?

    Hi,
Just a thought, check to see what your BIOS settings are on your computer.
This problem is usually related some potential problem in the disk or BIOS or faulty hardware. The BIOS sometimes limits the read/write scope of boot sectors, to avoid virus attack.
Review the BIOS setting, if there’s any Anti-Virus settings, just disable it, and then start the install again.

  • Stuck in the installation process...

I wanted to install the new OS (10.5) on a friend's Powerbook (G4) but nothing's working!!
The installer tells me I can't install it without erasing the HD, something I don't want to do. I tought there was enough room for the installation (24 GB). I can't repair permission (I can get to that utility window but the option isn't available). Right now, I just want to eject the installation disc and reboot from the HD but I cant! Even if I select the HD for the restart, I'll end up in the installation process.
    WHAT TO DO???

+"...I didn't expect to spend so many hours on this..."+
Understood. The problem is that in many cases a computer will not boot "normally" after a failed install regardless of how early in the process the install fails. You can try the PRAM reset as well as a "hard reset" of the PMU as described here:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=14449
Also there might be something helpful here:
    http://discussions.apple.com/ann.jspa?annID=516
However, since you started out to install 10.5 on this machine, the method I suggested is not really any more time consuming than any other and it might get you out of having to erase the drive and start from zero.

    Hey @10p,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you need assistance with the installation of Norton Antivirus that you received with the purchase of an HP 16gb Pendrive. Did you get the Pendrive with a computer or just purchase the Pendrive on its own?
Once I know if the Pendrive came with the purchase of a computer I will be able to point you in the right direction for support. Good luck!
