Hi All,
I deployed the agent into two machines with OAS.
A host level if sample data monitoring (CPU, network ...) but the forms or http or remains in a state pending .
I review the agent status and is correct

It could be a bad PRAM battery corrupting your PRAM. Typically when I have monitor issues on startup it is a bad PRAM battery.

If you have a digital multimeter you can check the condition of your present battery. It should read at least 3.2V if it is the 3.6V half-AA battery type. A new battery provides 3.67 Volts DC. A bad battery provides under 3.2 Volts DC. Ideally this should be measured while the battery is under load; added recommendation from Hans777:

Alternatively, test the battery while it is still in the computer.
If the battery is more than 5 years old, especially if you totally disconnect the computer from the power regularly, or have left it unplugged for several months at one time, it is likely the battery is dead.

Many of my older ITunes downloads play perfectly well on my IMac but constantly skip to the next song or suddenly stop playing on my IPhone. The problem is the same with both my old 4s and my new 5s. I have tried deleting and re-downloading to the phones.

in Finder, my iMovie folders are all visible and accessible. When I click on a clip from iMovie Events folder, Quicktime opens and plays the clip. ALL my video is not missing - it just isn't showing up in the Event Library!
This happened all of a sudden, while I was working on iMovie project (on both computers).
All my Projects are intact, and play when I open them.

Do you mean you dropped the iPad Air? Is it working properly? Is the screen damaged?
If it is working properly and has no signs of damage, it is probably ok.

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

I am not doing it in ITunes, but i did down load the song from ITunes. I loaded the song on to my Nano, but in my menu selections it doesn't show the song or the artist in any search format. However, when i plug in my nano to my PC I see the Nano library on my PC drive listings and that song and artist are there. I can click on the song and it will play in Windows media on my work PC. I did notice that the format for most all the songs in my library on my Nano are MPEG - 4 audio Files.

I want to be able to draw on the monitor with a stylus

I have a 24" iMac now but often I want to be able to add a drawing or a plan in an email using a stylus on the monitor. I know that this writing on the monitor with an iPad2 is possible but is it also possible on a MacBook PRO?
I do not want something that plugs into the Mac to work. I want a little simple application that will run and can accept drawings done by a stylus.
Then I want to be able to attach that file into an Apple Mail email.
Is it possible on the MacBook PRO? Or should I get an iPad 2 to be able to do it?

Sorry, Mac's don't have the touchscreen technology installed to do that like the iPad does.
The closest you can do is Walcom tablet on the low end

A Mac can't do this yet and would add a fortune to a already expensive machine to cater to artists, thus it's a external add-on device.

A iPad 2 will do that and allow you to draw on the screen, but it's smaller screen and there isn't the fine control like a add-on tablet provides. So your constantly zooming in and out to get the detail you need.
It can work, it's just more work to get the same results.
I don't know how email attachments are handled on a iPad, you need to ask that in the iPad forums.

Redraw problems on secondary monitor with 2 Acrobat documents

When I have two overlapping Acrobat 9 documents open on my secondary monitor and I click on the Acrobat doc in the background to bring it to the front, the image from the Acrobat doc that was in front is captured in the Acrobat document that I brought to the front.
I can't reproduce this problem on my primary monitor with Acrobat, and I can't reproduce this problem with any program on my secondary monitor. And I can't reproduce this problem on my secondary monitor with two document open with Adobe reader 8.0

I have the same problem here, but with either monitor.
Dell Precision T7400 Quadcore Xeon with 4GB RAM & Windows XP 32bit, Quadro 1700, two Dell 2001FPs (1200x1600)
Both my monitors are rotated 90' in Portrait mode. In landscape this doesn't appear to happen.
Acrobat 9.0 Pro, now patched to Acrobat 9.1
I can view full-monitor for a while, but then Acrobat stops redrawing/repainting properly when the window size exceeds a (variable) limit.
As a work-around, I start making the acrobat window size smaller until the window will redraw.
As time goes by, I have to keep making the window size smaller and smaller to get redraw work.
Eventually the window size required for redraw gets small enough that it's just too annoying and then I reboot the machine which makes it all good again for a short amount of time.
This and the OCR bug are my two biggest issues with Acrobat 9.

Problem using dual monitors with Radeon 9000 Pro and 2 x Samsung SM223BW

I really need an expert opinion here:
I am using quite a lot my MDD 1.25Ghz that is still equipped with the OEM ATI 9000 Pro Mac Edition with 64MBs of Video RAM and as most if not all Mac-specific cards it has an ADC and a DVI port. I recently purchased a couple of Samsung monitors; the afore mention in the subject SM223BW. The monitors have two inputs, both DVI and D-SUB (Analog VGA or otherwise plain old RGB).
I have purchased a Formac ADC to DVI converter and connected this output to the DVI input of the first monitor. It works like a charm and the picture quality it is quite good (not as with an Apple Display but I couldn't afford them at this stage). For the second monitor I used a DVI to VGA cable (going from the DVI output of the card to the VGA In of the monitor).
Now here is the problem: The monitor that is connected ADC to DVI has all the available 16:10 ratio option that are suitable for this monitor. The DVI to VGA one gives me only a 1680x1050 and all the rest are 4x3 resolutions.
Would anyone know why this happens? Could it be a monitor issue? Could it be that perhaps TFT monitors offer different resolutions according to the input used. Or could it be the graphics card? Or even perhaps the cable?
Under OS X, same settings and same computer I am given more resolution options. Would that mean that it might be as well my beloved OS 9 in combination with the card?
Or am I stressing this too far?
Please any ideas are more than welcome
PS: I have a dual 2.0Ghz G5 connected to the rest of the DVI and VGA inputs to be able to run both without having to repatch. Otherwise a DVI to DVI connection would have made more sense and solved the problem

I bought these monitors for their dual input functionality. The reason that I have the G4 connected to VGA is because I have another G5 connected the other way around in order to be able to use both computers, at any given time, with two screens.
Perhaps to make clear the connections I've done (if of course anyone is interested :)) ...
The G4 connects via ADC to DVI to the DVI input of Monitor No.1
The G5 connects via VGA to VGA to Monitor No.1
The G4 connects via DVI to VGA to Monitor No.2
The G5 connects via DVI to DVI to Monitor No.2
Another question would be why simply one mac isn't connected solely via DVI and the other one via VGA? The reason is that the VGA input looks awful on these screens for whatever reason. The image is seriously not sharp, the fonts looks horrendous and even with a lot of tweaking from the monitor settings, still I'd say the image is minging. If anyone knows why a VGA input can look that bad and still a monitor being in the market please let me know. It could be that this monitor is aimed to PC users and with the accompanying PC-only drivers all such are non-existent...Anyway I decided to go with the half DVI-half VGA solution to get the best out of the situation.
But on the question asked, I decided to use a 2 DVI input Avocent KVM that I've got with interesting results. I am pretty sure it is boring to read but if anyone has spare time here it goes:
The G4 connects via ADC to DVI to Monitor 1.
Monitor 2 DVI output connects to DVI KVM Input
The G4 connects via DVI to DVI to KVM Output 1
The G5 connects via DVI to DVI to KVM Output 2
The G5 still connects via VGA to VGA to Monitor 2
In this manner I am guaranteed to utilize the DVI inputs for both monitors, at least on my G4 and the G5 be forced to utilize one VGA. The plus side of the situation is that I can use both systems with the flick of a button without having to get up to change the Source on the monitors plus of course one keyboard and a mouse. Now here is the interesting bit:
Under OS 9, with the resolution 1280x800 on Monitor No.1 (the one connected via ADC to DVI) flips to - I think - 1680x1050 - it could be higher than that - with a thick black frame around the Desktop occupying a good chunk of the screen and the actual OS 9 looking minuscule at the center of it.
Monitor No.2 (the DVI to DVI connected one) looks just fine.
Now on top of that, when the G5 is switched on but the KVM is outputting the G4 desktop on Monitor No.2, whenever the mouse cursor slides on this monitor, it goes black! Just simply black and when I move the mouse cursor back on Monitor No.1 goes Desktop again.
Under OS X, none of the afore mentioned problems exist. Everything runs fine and I am give more 16:10 resolutions as well.

TS1258 Is there a way to re-set the monitor with an external keyboard, since my internal keyboard is not working?

My internal keyboard and mouse have stopped working, so I have attached an external keyboard and mouse. But now I need to re-set the monitor. Can I do it with an external keyboard?
I have the dark bands at the bottom of the internal display.

You cant switch off the power to the monitor but you can send it to sleep.
1 - Apple > System preferences > energy saver: set the monitor to sleep at the shortest duration
2 - While the second display is connected and powered on, System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement: deselect the Mirror Displays option
While the presentation plays on the secondary display, the Mac display will go to sleep as there is nothing on the screen during play, entering display sleep within seconds.

My iphone 5 has started to have a problem controlling the volume with the buttons on the side? How to fix?

Like I read in many other posts I'm starting to have Wi-Fi trouble.
Known networks that were no problem recognizing and connecting to automatically with IOS 7.0.2. and downwards are starting to have trouble. Network not found or when found a connection is not made automatically.
Also then trying to connect manually is a problem, as the network jiggers / flickers between the upper Wi-Fi connection field and the field 'known networks'....
So I point near the network with my finger I want to connect to al the time....
Normally this kind of thing is funny and I can laugh about it.
But now I wish I could downgrade to IOS 7.0.2...

After syncing Pc-Ipad my Photo's are out of order. In the folders they don't follow the Date-order. I use Itunes 10.6.1.7 and Ipad 5.1. The Problem is the same with XP and Windows 7.

After syncing PC-Ipad my Photo's on Ipad2 are out of order. In the Folders/Albums the Photo's are no longer in the order of (EXIF) dates. I have updated Itunes to 10.6.1.7 and IPad2 to 5.1. I have reset the IPad2. I cleaned the Photo-cache and removed Itunes and Installed again. I tried it with Windows 7 (64) and XP, makes no difference. I tried it with one Album, Photo's also out of order. It doesn't seem to happen with my Ipad1 older software version. I there a bug in the newest software? Thanks for Help!

problem solved after updating itunes to 10.6.3

Iphone 4 makes an continuous intermittent vibration/buzzing sound when plugged into any of computer's 3 usb ports; does not show in itunes or Windows Vista device manager. No problem charging the phone with other power sources. What's going on?

This problem happened intermittently in the past but now happens every time I plug in the phone. I suspect it might be a problem with my computer, an Acer Aspire 4530, perhaps with it's charging function via usb ports? The phone makes the same buzzing sound twice when I connect to other power sources, but continues when connected to computer. I have this issue even when the phone is 100% charged.

Strange display problem on the Internet with jpgs

Hi,
For some time now I have problems with jpgs on some Internet sites. They don't show up properly. But only on this MAC, every other computer is ok. Here is a screencap of what I see:

It happens only on specific websites but now it also happens on MY OWN website (http://www.patrickeischen.com)! I didn't change a thing on this page, it was ok 'til now.

What do the jpgs look like? Sometimes I get a small square and question mark on some webpages where images should show but I just fault the webpage, or internet. Sometimes a reload works.
Sounds like a software glitch on your PM G5, Have you repaired permissions recently?
