Problem in the USB K9A

hello ,
I have a problem in usb ,
When insert any device in the USB port, the computer stops working and The only solution restart the computer, what is the problem please
??

32-bit. What ports? Both front and back?
What USB-things? If it/they come with a driver, you install that first. And normally you do not attach USB-things until you are well into Windows.
400 Watt can be good, can be poor. Can you find a list of what the PSU can do, on the side of the PSU box?

  • Problems with the USB Ports

    Hi there,
I writing this because I'm having some really big problems with my USB ports.
A few days ago I plugged in an USB-Hub that was quite cheap. Suddenly a window popped up saying that a USB device was deactivated because it "needed" to much power. Since this happening, two of those windows keep popping up everytime I boot the MacBook. I called Apple and got some help: I had to delete some .plist files and clear some caches. The man who helped was able to find the error and deactivate the notification, he also told me to make a PRAM- and a SMC-reset. The man said that it's just a software problem and that I have to reinstall the system if we don't find a solution. So, one day later I reinstalled the system (Lion) and not only didn't it help, the two notification windows were popping up again...everytime I booted the Mac. So I decided to formate the whole hard drive and install Snow Leopard -> still the problem with the USB ports. After that I installed Lion  -> still the problem with the USB ports. I even tried to extract the .kext files that are important for the USB functionality from an earlier Combo Update, but it didn't help either. The point is, that the Mac doesn't recognize my external hard drive or any of my iDevices. Sometimes it recognizes USB sticks, but only after 20 seconds. The data transfer on both USB ports is also very slow. If I'm lucky and Mac recognizes one of my USB sticks, it takes like an hour for 1GB to be transfered on the USB stick or from the USB sticks to the Mac.
I really don't know what to do and need help, especially because my backup data is on my external hard drive which I can't access because of this problem.
I really hope that someone can help me, I'm very thankful for every answer that could help me!
PS: Sorry for my bad English, I hope that everyone understands what I mean, please tell me if you don't get what I'm trying to explain in the text above.
    Sincerely,
    iLoud
[UPDATE] I downloaded "USB Prober" and copied the Output file, maybe it helps:

  • Problem with the USB-connection after upgrade to P...

    Hello to everybody!
    After upgrading PC-suite, I can't establish a USB-connection with the phone.
    Here are the facts:
    1) My phone is the E90. Latest software installed (300.34.84)
    2) PC-Suite version 7.0.9.2 english. I also tried the greek version, same problem with it also.
    3) Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver 7.0.2.1. I also installed manually a previous version of the driver (7.0.2.0), but this didn't solve the problem.
    4) I didn't have any problem with the older version of PC-suite.
    5) I don't have a problem with the cable because the data-transfer-mode works fine.
    6) Prior to any installation attempt, I always first uninstalled PC-suite and Cable-driver manually with the windows-xp uninstall program. This was not the fact, only in my first attempt, where I upgraded the pc-suite from inside the program itself.
Please help, because I can't backup and this is very important for me!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Thank you all for your suggestions but nothing of the above worked for me.
After of hours and hours of installing and uninstalling of several versions of the pc-suite I solved the problem as following:
    1) Uninstall manually (windows - control panel - add/remove programs)Nokia-PC-Suite, Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver AND PC Connectivity Solution!
    2) Restart PC
    3) Download and install the new version of Nokia-PC-Suite.
The tricky part is that you have to uninstall the application called "PC Connectivity Solution" manually and since the title of the application dosn't include the Nokia-Name you have first to find out that this program is Nokia-related!
Once again, thanks to everybody who took the time to make suggestions and especially to cricfancy who made me aware of the fact that PC Connectivity Solution is a nokia application!
Finally, I would like to make a statement for Nokia:
People, if you are not sure about an update then keep it in beta and don't make it available to the public!!! I lost hours and hours on search and made countless installs and uninstalls to find out what was wrong. Under the line, I had made no mistakes in my update from the start and the whole problem was based on your software! This is not acceptable!

  • Problems with the USB Super Multi-Burner Drive (LS)

I allready used the Drive and it worked fine but today I wanted to try how well Red Alert 3 would run on my X200.
But when I put the DVD into the drive in begann to spin and then span down and up and down and it did not recognise the DVD. It just continued doing that 'til I ejected the DVD.
I tested the Disc on 2 other PCs and there it worked without a problem. I also plugged the drive into another PC and there it also didn't work.
I used the external power chord. Windows Vista Business (32Bit).
Is this fixable via software, or is the drive damaged?

It can't be the USB speed, as a DVD-rom even at 20x is only read at 27MB/s. More likely it's a case of the copy protection acting up. Red Alert 3 uses SecuRom, which is known to not play nicely with many optical drives. You won't even be able to play from a copy on your hard drive, as SecuRom doesn't allow this.

  • Problem with the USB ports

The usb ports work, but when i start up my computer, occaisionally the mouse won't work.  I'll have to unplugg it from the usb port, wait ten seconds, and plug it back in and it'll work fine.  I was just wondering if anyone knows what might be the problem here. I'm on XP Pro, and i have the K7N2G-6570G-ILSR with the latest drivers installed.  thanks to anyone who can help

  • Problem with the usb drives

After re-instal of the Lion my Macbook pro does not see any of the external hard drives, usb, phones etc. What can be the problem?

Several thoughts ... when you're having interface problems, do an SMC reset instead of a PRAM reset, as often USB/Firewire operations issues are power-related:
    1. From the Apple menu, choose Shut Down (or if the computer is not responding, hold the power button until it turns off).
    2. Unplug all cables from the computer, including the power cord and any display cables.
    3. Wait at least 15 seconds.
    4. Plug the power cord back in, making sure the power button is not being pressed at the time. Then reconnect your keyboard and mouse to the computer.
    5. Press the power button on the back to start up your computer.
Are there any driver or firmware upgrades for either of the drives? If you haven't, you might check on the manufacturers web site.
Also, does the firewire drive also support USB? Have you tired it on USB, for comparison?

  • Wierd problems, says the USB device not recognized

I have a 5 generation iPod, bought it Christmas, worked fine until two weeks ago, then whenever I connect it to my computer it sort of "works" for 5 seconds, then windows says "USB device malfunctioned, object not recognized" then the iPod freezes...
    Can anyone help me?

I am having a similar problem. I have a new iPod 30GB video and the computer won't recognise it at all. I have restored, reset, downloaded Updater 2006-01-10. Very angry first timer.

  • My computer will not recognize my iPod Nano when i connect it. I tried my laptop instead but it said the same thing - one of the USB devices attached to your computer has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it. Can i fix this?

My 16 gig iPod Nano 7th gen was put of power. I connected it to the computer and it started to turn on (the apple appeared in the middle of the screen). Then left it two minutes and the computer went into sleep mode. My iPod nano had gone off and now it will not turn on, or connect to the computer, so i cannot charge it. I am not sure if it is a problem with the usb cable. When I conntct the cable to the computer nothing happens, but then when i connect the iPod to the cable it says 'one of the USB devices attached to your computer has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it'. Please don't say its broken already

It probably needs to be reset. The procedure is different for different Nano models: http://www.apple.com/support/ipodnano/assistant/itunes/

  • Problems with the ipod

I have already researched this problem to the max, so any other suggestions are welcome, but I have already read all the discussions on it as well as the Apple Documentation. I am coming here on the off chance someone knows soemthing and so I can document for the benefit of other ipod users.
I get "Disk cannot be read from or written to" when trying to synch ipod. The error message does vary a bit.
I have seen other users referred to this artile.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301267
This documentation is pretty useless as it says that everything can be wrong.
So far I have restored my ipod many times, formatted it for windows, checked it for errors in windows, updated my ipod software, updated itunes, tried various methods described all to no avail. It is not a problem with a specific file because I have tried transferring only 100 out of the 2500 files in my collection to no avail.
I will try updating my ipod from a different computer with a different library of music later tonight. So far I have not had access to a computer with a firewire drive so that I can make sure it's not a problem with the USB cord or interface.
Suggestions are welcome! If updating it with another comp does not work I guess I'll try to use the ipods warranty. If that doesn't work I'll try to replace the harddrive myself.

  • Windows 7 64bit doesn't recognize the USB External HDD Stor E art 3.5"

I purchase the External HDD Stor E art 3.5" and pass a few days the windows don't recognize the HDD. Try to connect the drive to other 2 USB ports and nothing happen. Use a USB pen drive to see if was a problem with the USB ports but all 3 are OK. Try it on the Asus notebook and windows 7 recognize the HDD. I formated the HDD in FS NTFS. In the disk managment don't show the external HDD. What can I do to resolve this problem?
My notebook is a Qosmio F60

One last thing you can do about that.
Install OS again using original Toshiba recovery image. After doing this you will have clean preinstalled OS and everything should work well again.
If the same will happen again you should contact nearest Toshiba service and try to clarify the situation.
I know it is pretty radical solution but, believe me, most effective to check notebook functionality.

  • Unplugging the USB Cable

I'm having problems unpluging the USB from my iPod Nano. The thing just won't budge unless I get lucky.
Is there a little trick to make the calble slide out or am I just not pulling hard enough?

Are you squeezing the sides of the plug, not the long sides the narrow sides? Its like a button on the side that will pull in the little hook like things on the plug.

  • Problems with wireless usb adapter on MSI K8NGM-V

    Hi!
I have a 3Com (3crusb20075) wireless usb adapter, and a MSI K8NGM-V Mainboard. Very often the usb disconnects from the network and i have to reinsert it to work again. A friend of mine have the exact same adapter and that one fails too. He uses mine without problems. I therefore belive that this is a problem with the usb ports on my mainboard. Have anyone heard of anything like this? I wanted to try to update my bios but i don't have a floppy so msi live update wouldnt let me, and i could find the bios files on the msi webpage so i cant burn them on a bootable cd. Help please
(I trying turning of power save mode on the usb adapter, without any luck. Tested it in linux. Same result)

The ability to access the network, but not the Internet, typically indicates that the computer is not able to either find or negotiate with the DNS servers. The proper DNS servers would be provided by your ISP using DHCP. In turn, the AirPort would use DHCP to provide these to both the wired & wireless computers connected to it.
    Please try the following:
For each PC that is unable to access the Internet, temporarily include the following OpenDNS servers:
    o Primary: 208.67.222.222
    o Secondary: 208.67.220.220
You would enter these in the network TCP/IP settings for the respective PC's wireless network adapters. You may need to restart the computer in order for these DNS settings to "stick." After restarting, can you access the Internet with either or both of them?

  • How reliable is the USB modem?

I want to buy a Macbook Pro this fall (i'm waiting to see if any upgrades are announced at the WWDC). There is NO high speed internet available where I live, so I am forced to use the modem. I have an old ibook with a built in modem that is 100% reliable, but my parents have an iMac G5 with a USB modem that is absolutely terrible. The USB modem can't seem to connect faster than 28800, it disconnects after about 50 seconds of use, it disconnects when a music CD is placed in the drive and sometimes just disconnects for no reason at all.
My question is, is this a problem with just the iMac/USB modem or is this a problem with the USB modem? I'm considering just buying an Apple Extreme Base Station and using it's modem rather than buying a USB modem.
Can someone here tell me the quality of the USB modem when connected to the macbook pro?
    Thanks,
    Eric

I'd say, depending on how much mobility you need, that you would be better off with a wireless router which supports dial up.
That way the router would be able to connect to the internet vi dial up and you could connect to the router wirelessly. When broadband or dsl arrives, you could use the same router. Might not be easy to find, you basically need a wireless router that supports dial-up as backup.
Only disadvantage is that this is not something you could carry around, but very few people carry modems around.
You can do it by having a dial up modem with ethernet output which you then connect to a wireless router. If you already have a dial up modem with ethernet output then you can plug that into a wireless router for less than the Apple modem would cost.
    Best of luck
PS - You might want to look for an early Apple base station - 802.11b - it will way outpace your connection speed and will be much cheaper.
