Problem in Transporting Holiday calender 2008 ....

Hi Experts,
I have prepared holiday calender for the year 2008.
When im trying to transport the Holiday calender from Development server to quality server Im getting message that """ALL PUBLIC HOLIDAYS,PUBLIC HOLIDAY AND FACTORY CALENDERS WILL BE TRANSPORTED ; ALL PUBLIC HOLIDAYS,PUBLIC HOLIDAY AND FACTORY CALENDERS WILL BE FIRST DELETED IN TARGET SYSTEM""".
Will there be any problem if we click the CONTINUE button!
Here im getting the prompt for workbench request.
If i continue should i do with holiday calender and factory calender along with public holidays.
Please advice me.

Hi Rahil,
It is good that you looked back at old posts for your answer, but others would see it sooner if you created your own thread.
If you create a holiday with a specific date - say February 20th and then gave it the characteristic to be "guaranteed", the system will move it to the previous scheduled/next scheduled working day if it should fall on a non-work day. Example, moves to Friday if holiday falls on non-work day Saturday or Monday if falls on non-work day Sunday.

hi
i have defined holidays in Holiday calender assigned in factory calender also. i chked them, they all appeared corrrectly in Red mark on particular dates. and even i chked in the node " generate work schedules manually" in TM. i got all 1 for sundays and Holidays correctly.
my problem is when i am entering attendance to an employee on sunday it is not accepting , giving error message.
but when i am entering attendance for public holiday like festivals it is not throwing any error. will it accept in general, i dont know- where exactly the mistake.

Holiday Calender - Floating holidays

Hi,
My client has holiday calender 3 days A, B, C - out of which
A - Fixed holiday
B & C - Floating holidays.
For year 2008, A, B & C are showing in Holiday calender
But for year 2009 only A is being shown. So I presume, B & C are not showing as they are floating and per std sap function, floating holidays are to be created every year explicitly. Right?
Now I want to have B & C in 2009 H.Calender as well.
Do I have to create one again for 2009, if yes, how?
OR
Is there any work around to make these floating holidays changed to Fixed holidays.
Please suggest....

Hi,
First of all to clear your doubt, there is no need to create a separate holiday calendar if you have created already...
To solve your problem, you have to select the holiday which is already created and then create period as when that particular holiday occurs in the year 2009..
Then you have to select the holiday calendar and extend the already assigned cloating holiday to the year 2009..

Holiday calender - how to change/maintain

Hello Gurus,
I m new to SAP HR.
I want to change holiday calender for few holidays. Currently the holiday calender for year 2010 is exactly same as 2009. But now i need to change few holiday dates in it.
I tried tcode SCA5_U but in this there is no option to change the holiday calender directly.
Also, the holiday calender is marked as used in the Factory calender. Can I change the holiday calender directly or need to do few more configurations?

I was planning to do it from the SCAL screen but then I encountered a message 'All public holidays, public holiday and factory calendars
will be transported. All public holidays, public
holiday and factory calendars will first be deleted
in the target system.'
Am I suppopse to transport the changes from somewhere else? or the message is always there and need to be ignored?

define ur hoidays list
than assign them to ur holiday calendar
later on assign that holiday clanedar to ur Factory Calendar
than check with ur DWS and PWS and DWSR and generate the Work Schedule Rule

Go to SCAL t code
1. Double-click with the mouse on the Execute symbol, select the option Public holidays and choose the function Display.
2. Check whether the list of public holidays displayed contains all the public holidays that you need.
If you want to see detailed information on any public holiday, choose the function Display def.
3. If you need other public holidays, return to the initial screen of the maintenance transaction, and choose the function Change.
4. Choose the function Insert, and now make the following entries:
Public holiday type
Date or calculation rule
Public holiday text (short and long)
If required: Sort criterion, religious denomination or public holiday class (for notes on this, press the F1 Help).
Save the definition.

How to Transport Factory Calender to QTY and PRS systems

Hi All,
I had done a small change to Holiday calender in SCAL. I have read that it's not suggestive to transport it. Can any one let me know the procedure to transport the change to QTY and PRD systems.
The transport button is greyed out .

we created holiday calender from 2008 and 2013...
now once we run the work schedule rule ...its only gives holiday till 2009....
from 2010 its not giving the holidays

Chk the settings(Holidays & Grpng.) once more the range should be the year which you are generating.
the assignment of holidays is much important once you generating the HC.

Hi Slaxmi,
Go into transaction SCAL.
2. On the SAP Calendar: Main Menu screen, click "on" the radio button for Public Holidays.
3. Click the Change icon.
4. On the Change Public Holidays: Overview screen, click on the Create icon.
5. On the Change Public Holidays: Details screen, select with fixed date and click the Create icon.
6. On the Change Public Holidays: Fixed Dates screen, fill in the correct information and click the Create icon. In our example, fill in a Day of 04 and a Month of 06. Fill in a Holiday Class of 3, a Public holidays shrt of Jo's B-Day, and a Holidays long text of Jo Spencer's Birthday. Then click the Create icon.
7. Click OK on the Transport Link popup.
Now, add the new Public Holiday to the Holiday Calendar.
1. Go into transaction SCAL.
2. On the SAP Calendar: Main Menu screen. Here, click "on" the radio button for Holiday calendar and click the Change icon.
3. On the Change Public Holiday Calendar: Overview screen, select the International calendar - ID 99 - and click the Change icon.
4. On the Change Public Holiday Calendar: Details screen, click on the Assign publ.holiday button.
5. On the Insert Public Holidays into Holiday Calendar popup, select Jo Spencer's Birthday from the list and click the Assign publ.holiday button. The message "One public holiday was assigned" will now show in the status bar at the bottom of the Change Public Holiday Calendar: Details screen.
6. On the Change Public Holiday Calendar: Details screen, click on the Save button.
7. On the Change Public Holiday Calendar: Details popup, click the Continue icon.

How to Transfer Holiday calender from develoment to production

Plz do let me know the process to transfer Holiday calender and factory calender from Dev client to production client.

Changes to factory calendar data are not automatically included in a transport request (correction request).
If you want to create a transport request for your changes. You have to go back to the first screen of transaction SCAL then you will find the transport icon, the the truck icon (or select calendar u2192 transport).
System will display the pop box u201CAll public holidays, public holiday and factory calendarswill be transported. All public holidays, public holiday and factory calendars will first be deleted in the target systemu201D
When you do this, keep in mind that:
1. all public holidays, public holiday and factory calendars existing in the target system are deleted.
2. When you create transport request all the Changes which are carried out will be moved into next system (development u2013 QA u2013 production), Apart from this all the calendars will be over wriiten in the next system.
3. In the Target sytem all Calendars will be deleted and the Changes in the transport request will be Copied into the Target sytem ( This will include the Calendars which are already exitsing)
4. The transports are done between systems (development u2013 QA u2013 production) not between clients, one system can have several clients. all clients share some common settings, while others are client specific.
Once new transport request is created, release this TR by using transaction SE09/SE10 and inform your BASIS team for transporting.
Anyway, to transport the factory calendar changes or creation from development to production system, you should do this in production system directly with opening client (if possible). If this is first time and all factory calendars are new in SAP system then you can go ahead with creating workbench request and do the transport.
It is because when you do the transport of the workbench request, all table data will be transported, it is not only the changes what you have done so this could be dangerous that some other plants factory calendar might changed with this request.

Problem while transporting transfer rules in BW 3.5

I have a problem while transporting transfer rules in BW 3.5.
I have just checked the box for conversion to Transfer structure / Transfer rules of an infoobject and tried to transport it to quality. I got this below error message:
The selections T ZBW_ZBILLRATP_TEXT_BA specify more than one DataSource
Diagnosis
You need to select an individual DataSource based on the selection conditions
InfoSource =
Source System =
Object Version = T
Transfer Structure = ZBW_ZBILLRATP_TEXT_BA
although the select event is not unique.
Procedure
Check the objects to which the selection applies.
Reference to transfer structure ZBW_ZBILLRATP_TEXT_BA not available. No activation possible.
Message no. RSAR436
Diagnosis
Transfer structure ZBW_ZBILLRATP_TEXT_BA should be transported into this system.
However, no DataSource mapping refers to this transfer structure.
System response
The transfer structure was not activated or deleted.
Procedure
Ensure that DataSource mapping, with a reference to the transfer structure ZBW_ZBILLRATP_TEXT_BA is on the same transport request. Use the transport connection to create a consistent request.
Can any one provide me details of how to overcome this issue. I tried transporting all related objects.

Hi Lakshmi,
Befor Transporting the Transfer rules, make sure that you are transporting the Active Versions of your Datasource & DataTarget between which your transfer rules exist.
Also make sure that the Transfer rules are active before it is transported.

Problem during transport

Dear All,
Now i meet a problem during transport my ABAP in dev to prod server. Not sure is BASIS or my problem.
The error is "Request after end mark"
One more question is for the transaction code STMS, the status for production server should be LOCK or IMPORT QUEUE IS OPEN? If it should be IMPORT QUEUE IS OPEN, how i going to do it cos now our status is LOCK?

The "Request after end mark" will be displayed due to the following:
Requests after the end mark are not imported during the next import. The end mark is automatically deleted only when the next import has completely ended. Afterwards, the requests can be imported. You can see the legend information in the following website:

However, as per your questions I understand that the TMS configuration is not proper. Can you check the r3trans and the transport routes/layers again and see what is missing?
