Problem in using 10g Dedoloper suite forms devoloper

I have installed devoloper suite 10g in E:\Datasuite_home1 dir.
My oracle databse is in E:\product\oracle\10.0.2\db_1 dir.
But when I'm opening forms builder and create connection in Database with userid and password,
it is showing as "TNS could not resolve the service name requested".
The databse is running fine as I could connect through TOAD client itself.
Could anyone tell me what has been the exact problem and its solution.

Solution:
As Hub already posted, you need to copy tnsnames.ora from database E:\product\oracle\10.0.2\db_1 dir\network\admin into in E:\Datasuite_home1 dir\network\admin

We are facing one problem, when we access form with oracle 10g AS, the form is displayed, but when we enter username and password, it doesnt go to the other screen, it remains hang there and doesnt do any thing, neither give any error.

Sounds like you cannot connect to the database....
Is there a firewall between the app-server and the database? If yes, could you check with your firewall people that all traffice from db-server is allowed to app-server (from app-server to db-server just 1521, or another port that you used for the listener, is enough)
If not all traffic is allowed, then check the USE_SHARED_SOCKET environment variable (this is the windows name, there is a setting like this for unix too, but I can't recall the exact name by heart. It might be different)

Pc should dectect generic serial port, generic bluetooth modem etc
Enable DUN in blutooth device property(pc)
Create a dailup connection.
In phone no field type*99#
Username and password-blank or call your operator if required.

Problem In using Nokia PC Suite with the new Nokia...

My Nokia Ahs 310 is a new phone I bought and I tried with it to connect internet through my PC using Nokia PC Suite. But, when I connect phone to the PC it tells that it can't find the drivers and install the new device. And in someyimes in Nokia PC Suite it showed as "connected in non compatible USB".
However I can't log into internet using my Nokia Asha 310. Please help me in this regard.

install the latest Nokia Suite. This install the latest Connectivity Cable Driver automatically. Then
install the latest PC Suite (I like its modem handling more)

Works here with my Nokia 310, just tested for you. However, I was not able to use SIM2 for the computer. If neither PC Suite nor Nokia Suite worked for you, please say so!

Problem in using OVI Nokia Suite with c2-03

i use OVI Nokia Pc Suite with my Nokia C2-03, it worked properly. but now a days it is not working properly. sending msgs via pc suites very very late. new sms received is not showing in pc suite but it was showing before some days.
i realize every action done via pc suite is happening very very late. please tell me what should i do?

Execute_query problem on a 10g AS for forms

Good evening
A problem arises on a execute_query forms for AS 10g.
On Windows, a data block is refreshed by a execute_query in a when-new-block-instance.
Under Linux, the action fails.
Would you know what type of problem?

By adding a message in the when-new-block-instance, the message is displayed by my OC4J under Windows.
After copying and compiling on the linux server, no message.
So, logically, when-new-block-instance is not enabled under linux.

Problem - Installing oracle 10G & Developer Suite

Dear Team
I am trying to install Developer Suite and Oracle 10g . but unable to get into Sql. always i am getting a error . where as i changed everything in tnsnames.ora and checked the Listner. In Oracle 9i i dont get the error and very somoothly i can install and configure it . here some times it gives a error as Account Locked etc.,
Please advice how to configure or where I am doing a mistake

Few more details about how you are connecting and which user you are using for connection would be helpful.
With Oracle 10g, assuming that you have created a sample database on the same machine with mostly DBCA...
here some times it gives a error as Account Locked etc.,if you are referring to ORA-28000 error, then it seems the password that you have been using is incorrect and you have exceeded the failed login attempts.
Or you need to unlock the user in first place, since that is locked by default during Oracle installation (assuming you are referring to the sample schemas).

I have encountered a problem about using Oracle Form 6i to connect Oracle Database 10g express.

I use Oracle Net8 Easy Config to create a connection.
According to "tnsnames.ora", the paramater of connection is as follows;

Unfortunately, when I use Oracle Net8 Easy Config to test the connection, an error message is prompted as follows:

The test did not succeed.
ORA-03106: fatal two-task communication protocol error
There may be an error in the fields entered
or the server may not be ready for a connection.
You can check the server and retry, or continue.
After I google it, I still have no idea how to solve the problem. I would like to ask, could anyone mind providing some hints or solution to address the issues.

I don't believe the Net8 Easy Config (NEC) will create a compatible entry in the tnsnames.ora. I have Forms 6i running successfully against a 10g Express database, but I did not use the NEC - I created the entry myself. Here is the entry I use:

How to Run Developer Suit Form 10g

my question is
how to run form in developer suit i was using developer 6I now i want to run my module to developer suit 10g first i install developer suit 10g then database 10g and make a simple module of emp table
now when i run its give me error The HTTP Listner is not runing
i start OC4J Instance then again i run the form its run and install

then its give me again error

i check my firewall setting its check all program and service excluding Remote disktop

How to change character set to arabic in Develper suite forms 10g

Dear all,
Our company wants migrate oracle forms 4.5/6i applications to Oracle developer suite 10g version.
They also want there database to upgrade from 9i to 10g.
They gave me test machine, on which windows xp is installed and i did the following:-
1,Installed Oracle 10g Xe edition database.
2,Installed Oracle 10g Devloper suite(oracle forms, Oracle reports).
3, Configured the connection of Oracle Developer suite 10g to Oracle Database 10g.
4, Loaded Data into the 10g database. *( they are few columns like DEPARTMENT_NAME_ARB, FUNCTION_NAME_ARB which is supposed to show in arabic fonts, as it is in arabic in 9i database, now they are showing in some special characters)*
What I would like to know is: Is there a way through which i can set characterset?
Is it in the database in which i have to make character set change?
Is it in the oracle developer suite application in which i have to make character set change?
Is it in the registry in which i have to make changes?

It is very encouraging to see your replies, i apologize for the late reponse, i still got no success with updating PROPS$,
I relgiously followed all the instructions given to me by all of you. Like u could see in my previous posts
Luckiily, i am able to insert one row at a time manaually iin arabic and in english by pressing (ALT+SHIFT).
When i create datablocks in forms builder, i do see output in arabic.
When i create report in group style i do see ouptput in arabic.
i have thousands of rows(in GB's) which needs to be inserted in this new database 10g XE edition (downloaded from oracle)
I have attempted multiple times insertion of data by just running script, or simply copying numerous insert statement rows from notepad to sql*plus, unluckily it alwayz retreived the special charachters rather than retreiving arabic characters.
Is there a way to insert data in this new oracle 10g xe editon database via oracle developer suite 10g forms/reports?
Do I have to use inbuilt data load/unload utilities in oracle 10g xe edition?
Do I have to install sql*loader separately to load the data?
Do you think TOAD can help in this?
Could you please tell me how to add snap shots in this post?(user10947262)

Certainly Christian, i dont want to screw my oracle 10g database xe edition software and installation, and i agree and hope with this that creating new database and doing exporting and importing will work for me. (XE edition doesnt give option to create new database, i need to install 10g release2 media pack from edelivery)
