Problem in WAD

Hi,
I have a problem in WAD regarding Jump Query.
We have different x,y,z views in the parent template and when i click on x view and jump to the jump query which should open the detailed view of x and if i click on y in the parent view then it should jump to the jump query which should open the detailed view of y and so on... but for us it every time opening the x view in jump query which should not happen in that way.Earlier they were working fine and after upgrading the system from BI 7.0 SPS 10 these were not working and behaving as i said above.SO pls let me know if we have any OSS ragarding this.

I think the styling of the individual rows by way of highlighting is local to the sheet by way of stylesheets / Excel stylesheets .. not sure if the export to excel program will take that into account...

I have a problem with WAD and export to PDF.
My template (schema):
Group -->
Container Barraher --> Button Group
Container Form --> Tab Pages -->
TabPanel1 --> Container1 --> Analysis1
TabPanel2 --> Container2 --> Analysis2
TabPanel3 --> Container3 --> Analysis3
My problem:
The button exports only the Analysis we are seeing (the TabPanel which is opened) but I would want the button exports the three Analysis. Is it possible?
At the Button Group --> Command Export --> Data Binding --> Web Items:
Analysis1
Analysis2
Analysis3

Hi,
Can you remove the Data Bindings and see if you use the Default if PDF is working ?.
Another way also might be is to save the Same Template with a new Name, then Keep only the Data Providers and the Analysis Grid.
Back on Main Template in the Button Group use this new Template as a Print Template.

We made a test, take a WAD existing and save as, then the same problem persist.

Hi Osvaldo,
Open the template in the web application designer and go to html view. Find the line that says "meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=unicode"" and remove the line. Save the template (don't change view from html to something else before doing this.

Problem with WAD transports

Hi there
We have a problem with transporting templates created in the WAD.
The transport goes through succesfully, but when I run the template(s) in PROD, the changes are not reflected.
If I open the template in the WAD in PROD, then I can see that the changed template is indeed in PROD, but executing it in the portal shows the old template.
We are seeing this problem now with templates, but noticed it about a week ago with reusable library items that weren't updating correctly in PROD. The way we resolved it on that occasion was with a server reboot (J2EE)
I am sure a Java restart will do the trick again this time, but we can't have a situation where we need to restart systems each time a transport is sent through ... that's ridiculous.
I imagine there is some sort of caching holding onto the old items, but I don't know where to look to clear that cache.
Please, can anyone provide some assistance on this?

i think that you will find the cache in 'RSRT' T Code.
and refresh will also help this problem.
If not then find the ABAP Program and regenerate it.

SAP BI comes with its own HTTP Cache and web templates are stored in the HTTP cache of the server and especially when you change a template and execute it again - the previous version stored in the HTTP cache is being retreived.
To overcome this - go to TCODE SMICM
in the menu bar --> Goto --> HTTP Server Cache -> Invalidate -> Global in system
Once this is done your changes will start reflecting....

URGENT::Hierarchy Variable creating Problem in WAD

Hi,
I am using Profit Center as Hierarchy variable in my Queries, when i run the report in WAD portal, and select the profit center on the selection screen, after clicking the check button it appears with compounding Characteristic Controlling Area as prefix.
In the back end for the Profit Center Hierarchy data each node has Controlling Area attached with profit center(value), whereas in master data for profit center we don't have controlling area attached with profit center(value).
For eg: if the Profit center has value P0001 has the controlling area is CA01 then the master data of profit center shows the value as P0001 whereas when we look at Hierarchal nodes it displays as CA01P0001 along with its description.
So when we run the Query we dont get any data because it shows that profit center CA01P0001 node does not exist in Hierarchy.
But in Analyser Query is working fine.
Please suggest some solution.

This issue is resolved with note:
1558066 WAD Metadata corrupt due to invalid entries in RSZWMDITEM
There are some incorrect entries in the table which is causing an issue.
Could you please follow the below to delete the entries manually:
1> Go to Transaction: SE16
2> Enter the table name = RSZWMDITEM and press enter
3> Enter the value for MDITEMNAME = TARTITLE and execute.
4> You will find 3 entries for the value TARTITLE. Could you please
delete all these 3 entries from this table.
After doing the above steps, please refresh the metadata by doing the
below steps:
1> Open Web Application Designer.
2> Go to Tools->Settings - > Refresh Metadata and press OK
now close and restart the web application designer. It should work fine

Automatic Colour settings problem for WAD Chart Column type

In WAD (BI 7.0) Chart Creation i am having issues with colour settings for Chart item Column type with 3D. I have six key fig in query i am trying to show all KF in Chart. But it is showing only one colour for all keyfigs. atlast I have manually assigned different colours for different series, but no use... the issue remains same.. Please help me on this issue

Hi Harsh,
Please try the following options.
1. Try swapping the axes. Certain charts follow the YX convention.
2. Right Click > Edit > Click on 'Refine' > Click on the chart type on the right frame (Bars/Pie etc) > [OK] Vary Category by Color: Enable this checkbox.
3. If you have finished with these settings, you may switch back to Wizard mode to follow up the settings (Step 3 of 6 - Value Properties)
4. Under Categories in Wizard, just make sure you are giving options to suit all the Categories in an uniform fashion. To begin with don't bother to give a fixed Category Count. (As your chart size may increase dynamically based on GRID data)
5. Goto Refine > Click on Global Settings > Choose 'Color Palette' > Tradeshow/Enjoy/StreamLine/Custom : These are the optional themes which may be well adjusted to suit your requirements.

Problem in WAD (The requested query / does not exist on the current server)

Dear Guru's
When i execute a Web Application in WAD in the selection screen suppose if i give Key product as 86000 then check and execute i get correct data. Then if i come to backpage (Selection screen again using backspace) and change Key product as 86022 then check and execute then i get following error
The requested query / does not exist on the current server
System error in program CL_RSR_OLAP_VAR and form BAD STATE (see long text)
Can any one please provide me some good solution...
We are using BI 7.0 sp 16, But i am executing this Wed Application in 3.1WAD.

Problem with WAD Template

Hi All,
I have 2 queries Ex: QAS1 and QAS2.Both have same selection parameters expect Date in both queries.QAS1 is having date (RO1) and QAS2 is having (ROS1) date parameters. I have a common WAD 7.0 template for both these queries and both queries are merged. So when i execte the web tepmplate i will enter either RO1 Date or ROS1 date and the web template should display the query/report output based on date entered.
Can i use web items or Script Item control or any javascript for this issue?Please provide step by step procedure if there is any solution accordingly.
Is there any better solution for this approach?

Thanks for your reply. I tried many ways in the web template but issue still not yet solved. That is I have selected 2 Data providers for 2 Reports in the web template, But same reports output except date fields. Those 2 date fields also displayed in selection variables, when I run the template in WEB. So, When I select one date variable the corresponding Data Provider should fill the analysis item table in web template. If I select 2nd Date field variable in the query selection the corresponding Data provider-2 should fill the same analysis item table in same web template.
Actually these templates are available in 3.5 WAD. But that one with java scripts. Now user want to upgrade same templates in WAD 7.0. I also tried using with java script accordingly 3.5 WAD Template. But no use.
Please suggest me.... what is best procedure we can use for issue?

Variables order problem in WAD?

Actually I am using 5 queires in the template.
In first query President,Group,Cycle,Fiscyer ,Date is the order and it is appearing in my Bex properly.
In next all the queries President,Fiscyer,Date is the order.This is appearing corrctly in my Bex.
But in case of WAD the order of variables is President,Fiscyer,Date ,Group and Cycle.
I am very strange how it is picking?
But my requirement is Presidnet,Group,Cycle,Fiscyer and Date.
Please help me.
I am in the middle of development.

I can not see any attached logo,navigation block,tables.In those places a 'cross' mark is coming.

Problem on WAD Broadcasting with Javascript

Hi Experts,
I have some javascript code on WAD. I put the javascript code in the Script item. It works when I click "execute" icon on WAD.
But when I broadcast this WAD report to portal. The javascript doesn't work. I check the html source, right-click and view source on the browser, there is no any javascript code which I added could be found.
Does anyone know what's wrong on it or any steps I miss?

Problem Publishing WAD Web template in a Browser

Hello everyone,
I have developed a Web template using BEx WAD. When i try to execute the same in my browser. It say page cannot be displayed in internet explorer. I checked with the Basis consultant to see if the port settings were correct. He said everything was OK. Can anyone suggest ay troubleshooting steps i can follow to resolve this issue? Could also use some WAD configuration documents if any available to pass onto the Basis team as they are not well versed with BEx WAD.

You can check the BW WAS configuration using the FM RSBB_URL_PREFIX_GET. Also make sure all the BW Bex Services are active in tcode SICF.

Problem in wad is not functioning properly

in wad i created a input box there i am giving the value <24.07.2007
but in the report i am getting values for 24.07.2007 but i dont want values for
24.07.2007
<24.07.2007 is acting like <= 24.07.2007
how to fix this in wad
is there any other way to give using boolean operators.

Please try executing the supporting query by itself and see if you get the same behavior. Also, if you are trying to input the actual character "<" then that won't work. You would only be able to have the date as input and the "less than" filter would be applied in your query filter.

Hi,
SAP supports up to IE6.0 and has delivered that IE 7 and 8 are having quite a few issues with web reporting. Check SAP notes to resolve it.
