Problem in YouTube Widget?

Ok, so I adore my phone. Yes, there are features it's missing, but a majority will come in time. But I'm wondering if anyone's experiencing a tiny issue in the YouTube widget.
When I go to the search area and I have text in the text field, the X button on the right of the text (the circular button with an X that deletes what's in the text field) doesn't register my touch a lot of the time. I keep touching it over and over with different fingers in different areas etc. It'll finally work after a bit of touching, but this doesn't happen in any other application. That X button works great otherwise in other apps.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. If so, I can post it in the tech support feedback and tell them to look into it.

Well, it's only in YouTube I have the problem. I use that x in every other program: Mail, SMS, Notes, web, etc. They all work just fine. Not sure why. I just tried YouTube again and it works sometimes and doesn't others. It's really bizarre.
Oh, well, if it's not a problem with other people maybe it'll work itself out. Not a big deal. Thanks

    It's only Safari/iOS7. Chrome iOS7 works fine.
    Solution?
Go to YT and grab the code.
Paste it in a HTML Snippet.

  • YouTube widget problem

    Hi
I am trying to get the YouTube widget that you can download into Acrobat to work. I have inserted the widget as instructed and then entered the YouTube embed code where indicated but it repeatedly asks me for this information and I cant get the video to play.
Anyone had experience of using this or know what I am doing wrong?
    Thanks

When you go to the YouTube video page and copy the embed code to paste into Joels widget, make sure you have the "Use old embed code" option checked, so the embed code begins with "<object..." rather than "<iframe..."

  • Muse crashes when using youtube widget?

I am aware that this question has been asked before. But the answer provided does not solve the problem. I am using Muse 2014.1 and it seems that the problem with the YouTube widget is still there. It crashes when (1) I try to create a youtube gallery including it in a composite widget, and (2) it crashes also when I use it as a standalone widget. Any thoughts? Similar problem also with the vimeo widget -- Muse cannot create thumbnail.

I've received the initial file and am investigating. Please send the additional files. Please also send the MuseLog.txt file from your Documents folder. It should contain a bit more information about each error you've encountered.
This initial file appears to have a fairly involved menu that's severely corrupted. I'm attempting to surgically remove it from the file but internally many many small objects appear to be involved.
Do you recall anything unusual that may have occured while working with a menu today? The corrupt objects all appear to have been created between 10:30 am and 6:30 pm today your time. If you're seeing this in other files, did those files start as copies of this file or with objects copied and pasted from this file, or are they completely independent?

  • YouTube Widget not displaying video in Preview

    Dear All,
I've embedded my YouTube share code within the YouTube widget, and the message comes up:  "unable to generate thumbnail".  When I got to a live preview of the page/site, the YouTube play box comes up, but says: "an error occurred, please try again later."  I'm working with the latest update on Muse on an iMac 10.10.3 with Java script turned on and the latest Adobe Flash player installed.  I've read all of the bug reports on the YouTube widget, but they were all over six months old and I assumed the bugs should have been fixed with the latest Muse updates.  Any suggestions as to why the widget isn't working and how to work around it?  Nothing crashes, but it just isn't bringing up the video.
    Thanks.A

    Dear All,
I'll answer my own question after a chat session with Adobe support.  When you paste in your video ID from your YouTube share box, don't enter the https://youtu.be/ characters -- just enter your video ID characters that follow after.  After entering the ID correctly, the YouTube preview opened up without problems in my "Preview Site in Browser screen".  Such a little thing to waste so much time over, so I'm posting it for everyone in the future to see and learn from!  I was used to just copying and pasting the entire url, but not so here!  Good Luck to All!

  • YouTube Widget on FIOSTV unusable

Maybe there's something I'm missing but Youtube on FIOS TV seems to be unusable by design, at least if you have a slowish PC or in-house network is slowish (e.g. wireless).
I get to the Youtube widget on my FIOS TV, get the lists of videos from YouTube, choose one and select. However, it is unviewable because it stops and starts.. (The feed is too slow for real-time video via my wireless network and laptop I assume and there is no buffer.)
OK. No problem I think, this often happens on PCs too - Just pause the video, wait for the feed to download some more of the video, then play and it will be able to keep up..
Well, nope - As soon as you pause, the widget stops downloading so it never gets a buffer loaded!
OK, Well surely you can just restart the video (under "options") and, since many seconds are already loaded, you have a buffer and it will work right? Nope! The "Restart" option thows away what you have and starts reloading from the beginning again while trying still to play in real time!
OK, Well then exit to list and re-enter. Maybe it will keep the buffer then? - Nope! Reloads from the start forgetting everything it loaded previously...
Well - My conclusion is "YouTube Widget on FIOSTV is unusable"
    What did I miss??
(or do I need to use a fast desktop and wire it direct with cat5 cable to the router which would be a real pain!)
    Thanks for any help..

I have media manager running on a wireless computer and I am able to see video and audio with out any skips or drop outs. Of course the video plays in a small window and you have to click another button to get it to go full screen. The programming is a kludge. Playing one video after another causes the screen to flicker a few times and drop out a few times.
Verizon should only put this out a beta software. That way if it works for you.... great and if not OH well it is beta... People expect this to work. I have a blue ray player that will play YouTube videos and transition between vids with none of these problems. Verizon needs to down to the local high school and get some real programmers that understand what people really want.

  • YouTube Widget and SmartShapes

    Hi,
I am using a YouTube Widget and I want to use a smartshape to introduce or set context for the video - see pic below.  The problem is that the smartshape does not show up when I F11 - view whole project.  Somehow it seems to override it.  If I take the widget out the smartshape works.  I have tried to not have the widget appear until after the smartshape but that doesn't work.  Can anyone help me clear this up?

A single button won't work because I need to put a few sentences of text.  It looks like the z order is changed from what I have on my timeline.  Do Widgets take precedence somehow?  Is there a way around this?

  • Z-Index / layer issues with new YouTube widget!

    Hi!
I am experiencing a problem with the new social media "youtube" widget. I currently have two layers in my projects. It is a parallax scrolling project where the menu initially scrolls and then sticks to the top. When continuing to scroll, the embedded YouTube video widget does not scroll underneath the menu as it should but scrolls over the menu. This is strange, as the YouTube widget was placed on level 1 and the menu is on level 2. Shouldn’t the menu then always be on top? Could it be that that the new widget doesn’t set z-index correctly?
You can view my web draft (and look at the code) here: http://www.firstlight.at
    Any help greatly appreciated!

I was able to fix the problem and I believe this to definetly be a bug in Muse....
In order to prevent iframed Youtube widgets to swim on top of all other Divs, I had to change the code, adding wmode="transparent" and wmode="Opaque" to the iframe class. This only works if you change all the other parameters behind the src tag from "&" to "&amp".
Here was the original code generated by Muse. This couldnt prevent my "2nd Layer" to slip below "Layer 1".
    <iframe class="actAsDiv" width="487" height="275" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/X6GBk42nLOE?&;autoplay=0&;loop=0&;showinf o=0&;theme=dark&;color=red&;controls=0&;modestbranding=1&;start=0&;fs= 0&;iv_load_policy=3" frameborder="0"></iframe>
Making the following changes to the code, forced the Youtube widget below all other divs again (I have hightlighted all changes to bold, so you can see the needed changes easily):
    <iframe class="actAsDiv" width="487" height="275" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/X6GBk42nLOE&am?wmode=transparent&amp;autoplay=0&amp;loop=0&amp;showinfo=0&amp;theme=dark&amp;color=red&amp;controls=0&amp;modestbranding=1&amp;start=0&amp;fs=0&amp;iv_load_policy=3" frameborder="0" wmode="Opaque"></iframe>
Make sure, that you dont miss the following change: You need to change all "&" adders to "&amp" otherwise this procedure will not work!
After the new release, I am sure the Adobe team is working hard to bug bust the latest release. But I do hope this one will be busted soon, otherwise users using the youtube widget will have to recode Muse output everytime we make a change and this is exactly what Muse is striving to prevent (; Afterall, in Dreamweaver you could hardcode the change and it would stick!
Hope this will be of help to someone!

  • Youtube Widget not working when publishing to folder.

I am having trouble adding youtube videos into my site. I am publishing to a folder than uploading, and all goes fine except the youtube widget doesn't activate when uploaded. Any thoughts on why this is happening? I did a quick work around using html widget, but would rather it been clean and the iWeb way...

    Hi,
I too have the same problem. I looked at your link and it seems that you have the problem solved as I could see the clip. How'd you do it?

Make sure that both the web browser you're using and its Flash plug-in are up to date. Google Chrome has its own Flash plug-in it updates on its own. Firefox, IE and other have separate plug-ins.

  • Youtube Widget bugs

    Hello,
I am having some issues with the Youtube Widget.
The Fullscreen does not work even though it is selected to do so.
Also, the I noticed the settings do not work when the Reduced Branding is selected as well.
Although it does work when it is not selected.
I did try seeing also if the Fullscreen problem was "Branding" issue and it is not.

    Hi,
Okay . Can you please Quit Muse and try to reset the preferences of Muse.
    In Mac,
    1) Quit Muse.
    2) Go to desktop > click on Go > "Go to folder"
    3) Type "~/library" without the quotes and press enter.
    4) Go to folder named "Preferences"
    5) Go to folder named "Adobe  Muse"
    6) Move folder "Local Store" to desktop.
    7) Re-launch Muse and new Local store folder will be created resulting in re-creating preferences.
    And In WIndows,
    C:\Users\ronair\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Muse CC
Just Rename this folder as well as rename this folder:
    C:\Users\ronair\AppData\Roaming\com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.2014.0
Once you have done this can you create a new site and use the Youtube widget and test it whether its working fine or not.
    Thanks,

  • YouTube Widget and HD

    Questions on YouTube widget
    1) The HD button in YouTube does not show up in widget until after it has been played once, then it shows you (even if movie is stopped). Logically, the HD button should show up before the viewer 1st clicks to play. Is there a way to make the HD button always show up in widget?
    2) the HD button does not show up if widget is sized smaller than some width (say around 325px). This means the widget has to be pretty large, or the HD will never show (before, after or during playback). Is there a way around this?
    3) if you click once on the widget, the youtube plays. If you click twice (by accident?) it takes you to youtube website to play. Is there anyway to disable this double click that takes you out of your web sit to youtube?
    Thanks

Robin ~ Glad that worked out — can you provide the URL(s) to your newly embedded HD videos?
By the way, I noticed you've started an iWeb blog with one entry. Before you add more, you may want to consider using a dedicated blogging platform instead — problems with iWeb's blog are a recurring theme on these forums: Lost all blog entries, or all comments, or unable to publish, or unable to open iWeb, etc.
For a success story using a non-iWeb blog hosted on WordPress, see this old thread:
To blog or not to blog
As an alternative to setting up a basic hyperlink to your external blog, you can link to it from iWeb's navigation bar:
Create a blank internal page titled "Blog" (actually you can name the page whatever you want.) Then in that Blog page add an HTML Snippet with the following code:
    <script type="text/javascript">
parent.window.location = "http://www.yourblogname.com"; // change this to your own URL
    </script>
...Once published, clicking on "Blog" in the navbar will immediately redirect to your external Blog page. (Thanks to Cyclosaurus for the code).

  • Muse crashes after changing video id in Youtube-widget

If I change the Video-id in a Youtube-widget Muse often crashes. Is this a known issue?

Yup, that was it. The site muse file was on an NAS; I moved it to my local drive and the problem went away. Inconvenient to be sure, but at least I can work. I'm going to try to put the site muse file on an external USB drive, maybe I can make it portable that way.
    Thanks for the response.
