Problem|Install iTunes problem! help for first time using iPod touch (2G)

Look i try to install the iTunes, but after press the install button, its write:
"The installer ecountered errors before iTunes could be configured.
Your system has not been modifited. To retry these operations at a later time, please run the installer again."
What to do? ****!250 Dollar on this iPod, not for free! i must have it working.
Please help me =]

Computer keeps Configuring and setting up for first time use

I have a toshiba A505-S6980 that has been working fine for a couple years. Recently I had performance issues and suspected virus, spyware so I did a recovery with the original discs I made when I first got the computer. Four of the six discs reloaded fine. It did not ask for the last two discs "Environment 64 bit and Applications and Drives. I also have a System Repair disc. After loading the four recovery discs the computer now keeps recycling between preparing for first time use, configuring system, reboot and then back to preparing for first time use,etc. I think I'm close to getting this, but need a last bit of help.

It's been a couple days since you posted this problem. Did you get anywhere, or are you still stuck in that loop? If it's still stuck, you may just want to perform the recovery again.

SQL Server Management Studio - Configuring the environment for first time use

Hi
I have recently switched my local 'My Documents' folder location to a network drive that I 'make available off line' to allow on-line/off-line work and synchronisation when I am working in and out of the office.
When I load my SQL Server Management Studio 2005 I frequently get 'Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio is configuring the environment for first time use'.
Management Studio them loads and I can continue without problem.
I am guessing it is trying to make reference to some settings file. Any ideas? I wonder if I can change/move these settings elsewhere to a local drive?

X230 - Setup Is Preparing Your Computer For First Time Use

Dear all,
I just received my X230 bought on Ebay and as I first turned on the computer, Windows was frozen and showed "Setup Is Preparing Your Computer For First Time Use" for hours (I guess its a whole day). Since I do not have any recovery media provided, does anyone has alternative solution?

Thanks! It took me a whole day to figure out what happened and I ended up format the whole drive and reinstall the windows. Yes, you are right, X230 is a good machine and acutally I was thinking to puchase X240 since there is kind of back to school program that you can purchase X240 at a deep discount price. After so many bad comments I chose X230 instead for:
1. Physical Trackpad button (which is extremely important as I ONLY use trackpoint)
2. 2 ram slots
3. normal voltage CPU
I am surfing the net with X230 and I am so happy I bought this.

Problems installing itunes 7.2 for windows ?

I recently tried to update my itunes when prompted with 7.2
At fisrt itunes opened then it didn't recognise the ipod
and finally itunes didn't open at all.
i follwed the instructions from the manual i downloaded, and
removed all traces of itunes from my pc, now when i try to
download a new version of itunes it tells me it cannot create the directory as a file with this name already exists
and then gives me the following info

I cannot find this file anywhere so please can anyone help
as i cannot get any form of itunes on my pc

I also had problems with installing recent iTunes.
One time I updated the iTunes that was not the same one I got with the iPod. What ended up happening was that my songs wouldn't play on iTunes and I couldn't put any song files on the library. I ended up reinstalling everything and also ended up losing all my songs which caused me to upload all over agian.
Now I have a couple of video podcasts I would like to see in my iPod but since I don't have the current iTunes, it won't transfer to my iPod. I don't want to install the recent iTunes because I'm afraid I'm going to have to do what I mentioned above. Anyone want to suggest something?

I might be able to piggy back on your thread. First of all have you triedd stopping the service though task manager? Do that and see if there is an error message. I hope someone can suggest a registry hack that may solve this IPOD service issue.

Error with iTunes when connecting for first time.

Here is the error that I get when I connect my phone to my computer:
The software required for iPhone is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes. then install iTunes again.
I have the latest version on iTunes installed (7.3). I have tried removing itunes and reinstalling 4 or 5 times. Evan restarted my computer few times too. I'm running Vista so not sure if that's the problem.

Close iTunes, and disconnect your iPhone from your computer.
Go to "Control Panel", and go into "Programs".
Select "Installed Programs".
Here, find "Apple Mobile Device Support" from the list, and click on it. From the "File" menu, select "Change/Remove", and then click "Remove".
After that application has been fully uninstalled, go to this page, to download another copy of the iTunesSetup.exe installer:
Download iTunes - 7.3.0.54
After you've downloaded the iTunes installation pack again, launch iTunes, and connect your iPhone.
Do you still get that same error message, or not?

Full automatic Itunes synchronization impossible for a brand new Ipod touch 5th generation

Hey all,
I bought a brand new Ipod Touch 5th generation which won't synchronize my whole music library through Itunes (very latest version of the app).
The ipod runs IOS8 and the mac mini runs Yosemite latest version.
I already had issue synchronizing music the very 1st day I had the Ipod touch. As a result, went back to the Apple store for changing it for another device, thinking the Ipod was faulty, which Apple accepted and changed my device for a brand new one.
Since then, still unable to synchronize the full music library through itunes. I performed several full resets both on the mac mini and of the Ipod touch with no success. The synchronization seems to run fully normally with no warning pop up saying it failed or whatsoever and the sync process is very very long. But once done, my Ipod remains empty with no data at all.
The weird thing is that Photos are fully synchronized with no issue at all.
I contacted the Apple assistance who argued that my music library might be faulty and have corrupted files in it. So I cleaned it up, suppressing some files I had in double etc.
BUT still, no success, I had to go through the entire library to sync manually, but even then, I was able to have on the device, only half of the library, i.e. around 25 go. once the ipod display 25 to 30 gb remaining, it won't sync no more files.
Although I cleaned up the entire library and reset both devices hundreds of times, I have no clue why even manually, I'm completely unable to have my whole library automatically sync.
I spent hours on the phone with Apple assistance to get some help with no success so far. I even re-installed Itunes completely, still without any result at all.
I was only able to upload on the Ipod only half of the music library, and there are still 25 to 30 GB space remaining on the ipod and 20GB of music to be uploaded.
The automatic sync process always fails any time I try to run it, except for the photos, books etc.
I must say I also have an 160 GB Ipod classic with which I never had any problem so far, and which fully sync my whole library with no issue at all.
I read on the internet that some other users of IOS8 are accountering the same issue with itunes.
COULD SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP, I'M DESPERATE, given the price of the Ipod I really do regret I bought something that does not work properly. Quite disappointed

Yes the system just keep sync as everything is normal, but then no song is actually uploaded to the ipod.
And the remaining space bar shows the ipod's empty.
the automated process will just keep sync as if normal and the last step saying 'applying the modifications" just keep going on and never ends.
I was only able to upload manually half of the albums, all songs comes from different sources; ripped from CD for great part, but also downloaded from the internet from trusted websites.
All songs play normally through Itunes on the Mac Mini.
But then when trying to sync the whole library automatically, nothing happens and I only get tags of the different albums, as if there, but actually it won't play none and the Ipod player just keep skipping as if no musical data is there.

64-bit XP is the clue, Katrina. A bunch of the 64-bit XP Orca-based workarounds out on the web don't work for 9.0.x, because of the way the iPod Service and AMDS have gone 64-bit in the 9.0.x versions. So those folks will often try installing an 8.x instead.
(It's been weeks since I last checked ... so I'm not sure if there are any newer versions of the workarounds available.)

White screen when first time connected ipod touch to mac

I followed the instruction on the quick start manual (open itunes,connect ipod touch to my mac,and finish the registration,sync music etc.)Then the screen is still WHITE. I've tried some efforts including reset and recover,but still white screen! Couldn't believe this!

PS：The touchpad seems to be ok. When I push the sleep button and slide my finger on the bottom of the screen,such a sound like the screen is locked or unlocked sent out.

uncheck the music in itunes and resync to delete her music from your ipod
then create another account using everything the same except change your email address from a ".com" to ".net"
like me, I have an ipod touch and my mom has a shuffle, she doesn't like using credit cards online
so we use mine for both accounts but with [email protected] as mine and [email protected] as hers
that way we can both use the credit card and on the same pc but with different passwords too

Help...Installing Mac X Tiger for first time.

I have been in the shadows running OS 9.2.2 refusing to jump on the OS X band wagon. Well, all that is about to change. I have one concern. I use Microsoft Outlook Express as my email client and I'm worried that installing Tiger will wipe out all my very important emails. I was hoping to back up my emails but outlook wont let me save them off the program. Will Tiger delete all my emails or is there a way to save them?

Did you tell him you had an Intel Mac or just a Mac? If the former then you were misinformed by the person. If the latter then you didn't provide sufficient information so they thought you meant any non-Intel Mac.
Do you have two gray label DVDs that should have come with the computer? They will say OS X Installer Disc One and OS X Installer Disc Two. If you don't have these you need to contact the seller and have him/her send them to you. They should come with the computer and you are entitled to them.
You can return the version of Tiger you purchased and have your money refunded. Just explain that you thought it would work on an Intel Mac and now realize that's wrong. Or tell them the sales person misinformed you.
Unless you have the installer discs that come with the computer you cannot reinstall OS X. If you cannot get the discs from the eBay seller then you will have to call AppleCare and see about purchasing replacements.

Did a test. Copy and pasted a page of my graphics into a new indd file and into a new master. New file works fine for exporting jpeg as well as pdf.
Must just be something wrong with the original. gremlins. No time to wonder why.

HT4972 We synced & updated my daughters phone for first time using my account. It deleted her contact list and inserted mine on her phone. Now she has been deleting the contacts but it is also deleting from mine! How do I get my contacts back?

I need help. I have an Iphone 3GS and so does my teenage daughter. I had not ever updated her until last night and I updated it using my Apple account. I did not think that I needed to make a separate account for her phone as the phone belongs to me and we share apps and such.
The update went well except all of her contacts were deleted. However, all of my phone's contacts were placed on her phone instead of her own. This was not a real problem for her as she did not have a great deal of contacts. But she did need to start delating mine from her phone. It was not until she had deleted all the way down to the H contacts that we realized as she deleted contacts from her phone, they were also delteing from mine!
I need help in retreiving all the contacts that she has deleted. There are important business contacts that I so did not want to lose!
What can be done? And how do we keep this from continueing to happen?
