Problem Installing/Downloading App

I just recently got a new Macbook Pro and had to go on a trip the next day. When I was away I tried to dowload an Alarm Clock app on hotel wifi. As most people know hotel wifi can be kinda shifty at times. By shifty I mean that it will work one minute and then not the next. So I understood this and patiently waited for it to download. I guess it got interupted partway through because I had to go back to the appstore to resume. But when I tried to resume the bar show that 15.9/15.9 MB had been downloaded and it was about to install. Then I get a little pop up saying that an error occured and I should try again from purchases. I have tried about 30 seperate times over the past 4 days and I have constantly gotten the same message. And before anyone gives me a link to one of the Apple Support pages telling you how to resume a download, I have already looked through most of them and have had no luck so far.

    Same problem here in Brazil.
    It seems to be a problem with logging in App Store in the Mac (Yosemite 10.10.2).
    When I tried the very same userid and password I was able to login in to use my iCloud account from the same computer and also from my iPhone.

    Here is the process i follow
    1. Send app from OVI store to my phone - Successfully 
    2 . Text message received containing download link 
    3. Open link - Link opens successfully 
    4. Click on download button 
    Now this is were the problems start 
    Nothing downloads and the screen just goes back to the text LINK 
    Any help would be great

    I have a problem with downloading app (Twitter) from App Store. I don't want this app. It is not downloaded yet, the download is still in progress.  I have limited data plan and I don't have a chance to finish the download via PC. The size of the app - 33 mb. Could you please cancel the download process so I will be able to remove the icon.

    Most of the people on these forums, including myself, are fellow users - you're not talking to iTunes Support here.
    Are you able to connect to a wifi network - tapping the app should pause the download of the app and change it to 'waiting', so you should be able to pause the download until you have access to a wifi network.

    I am having problems installing downloaded applications.  After I download an application, I can see it in my "downloads" folder.  When I double click it, instead of finding the package, I am taken directly to my "terminal" screen, and then cannot install.  Is there a setting that is the problem, and if so, how can I correct it?  Thanks in advance for any help.

    I have read the post above but cannot really follow the advice & it doesn't seem to help me. I have downloaded two applications which do not load; (1) a plugin for Photoshop & (2) some Nokia sync software for my phone. I can see the downloads, but with (1) - which is a .dmg file - when I click on it, it does nothing; doesn't open or install anything. With (2), it tells me it is downloading to 'Macintosh HD'; but when I look on the HD I cannot see it anywhere.
    Can anyone assist please?

  • Nokia N8 Problem, cannot download apps.

    Hello,
    I own a Nokia N8 (Symbian Belle) and have  Nokia Suite 3.3.89 installed on my PC.
    I tried to download some apps from store.ovi.com but to no avail.
    The download buttons are greyed out and when I press the info button it tells me "To install this app with your PC, connect your phone via USB cable or Bluetooth and make sure Nokia Suite is running."
    My phone is connected with USB cable and Nokia Suite is running, but I still can't download.
    Your help will be very much appreciated.

    I also face a similar problem....My problem is nokia ovi store is working good when I tried to download a application, after selecting the application I just select download. Then a black color display appear and it didn't download the application. I waited too many hours but still that black color screen is there. How can I fix this problem?

  • Problem with downloading apps. "Unable to download application" error.Help please!

    I'm having a major issue with updating or downloading apps. They won't download! I try to download an app, it's says "waiting", then it looks like it's about to download. Then, suddenly, the "loading"  bar gets halway filled, then it goes back to saying "waiting". This cycles about three or so times and then I get this message: "Unable to download application. Could not be downloaded at this time" with choices to be "done" or "retry".
    I have tried EVERYTHING to fix this. I tried pausing the download and restarting, I tried soft and hard resets, I tried signing out and back into the App Store, I tried resetting my settings, I tried restoring the phone as a new iPhone, nothing works! I am at my wits end! I have an appointment at the Genius bar tomorrow, but I'm hoping someone here can help me so I won't have to keep that appointment.  I've tried searching for my problem in the forums but none of the results are like mine. Could someone please help?
    EDIT: I also tried checking the iTunes queue. No purchases are stuck in the queue.

    Just wanted to update, since I can no longer edit my original post. I tried disabling bluetooth. That didn't do any good, either.

    We removed the many posts with screenshots as your description is quite clear and these posts do not really add any extra information. Have you attempted to do a fresh install of your device?  Follow the procedure below to do a full device reset and (re)install of the system firmware:
    If you have data on the phone you wish to keep create a backup using Nokia Suite but when asked deselect the option to include settings in the backup. You can start a backup through Tools>Backup in the Nokia Suite menu.
    Now disconnect your phone from the PC and select the offline profile, press the on/off switch and from the menu which appears select and activate the profile offline.
    Enter the code *#7370# followed by the security code 12345. Please be aware this reset may take a while. Your phone will restart when finished.
    After the phone restarts go through the Device First Use sequence to setup the phone correctly.
    Now connect the phone to your PC again and let Nokia Suite install the requires files on phone. After this (re)install the latest system update. When you go to the update screen in Nokia Suite your will either be presented by a system update or you can choose to re-install the current (up to date) version again.
    After the update verify if there are any additional updates and install these as well.
    After this you can restore the backup if you made one.
    It is possible that your device storage area requires a full rewrite to allow the installation of these apps, if the above does not resolve the ability to install the apps please visit a Nokia Care point for further assistance. You can find the nearest one through the 'Contact us' section on this page.

    When you get an app from the App Store, it automatically downloads and installs. The installation process is not separate from the downloading process.     "Install Nokia PC Suite version 6.82.21 or later before installing Nokia Download!". Then it quits.
    However I have PC Suite 6.85.14.1 already installed.

    I had the same problem and tried unsuccessfully several times to install this update though the software update. I did download and install in manually, and it worked with no problems.     Since last 2 days, whenever I try to download app from my iPod(5.0.1) from office it allows me to download. But when I am trying same thing from Home it not allowing to do so. I even tried to download on iTunes on my mac but its telling me time out or server error. I have BSNL broadband connection at my home. Is this problem is with Internet provider?
    Even its not allowing me to restore my iPod(verifying restore) and cannot restore. Rest I can surf on safari from iPod, can use all the previous apps as usual. But not able to download.

    That solution works, if you have been diligent in backing up your phone and haven't overwritten it after the 4.3.2 update. Apparently this new software update was done to route jailbroken app function and those who have changed Apple ID accounts. The account change is what has gotten me and I will not be able to reinstall or use any apps since I have a different account now. If you have changed Apple ID's, either revert back to your previous ID or you lose all your apps. I cannot revert, so I am one of those people who just lost 50 some dollars worth of applications. Thank you Apple.
