Problem installing Elements 2.0 on my new pc

I've just bought a new Dell Inspiron and am having trouble installing Elements 2.0 from the disk. The installation seems to work but when I go to open Elements I'm getting an error message saying there's insufficient virtual memory to run Elements. It worked on my old rubbish PC - so that can't be right, right? What do I do?

I just entered the wonderful world of Mac and I am really enjoying it. Too bad I waited so long. However, I have a problem installing my printer, an HP LaserJet 1018 printer, on my new MacBook Pro intel based computer. I checked at HP's website and it says that the printer is not supported for the Mac environment. Could there be other possibilities with drivers to download or should I buy a new printer?

When the manufacturer says they don't support something, it's generally best to stay away from it.
There's almost always 3 ways to do any 1 thing, but you may need you printer to do more than 1 thing and therefore you're going to have issues with all the other things.
Printing to a printer sounds like 1 thing, but it's not.
It's many things working together to get ink on paper.
My advise is get a supported printer and live without a headache.

Problems installing elements 7

I'm just trying to install elements 7and it's coming up with "the cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and can not be used" does this mean there is something wrong with the disc or is it my pc?
Also, if i do manage to get it installed in the near future i may be getting a new pc could I uninstall it from my old one and put it on the new one?

The answer to your second question is 'Yes' (install on new PC with the original CD).
Googling for 'Data1.cab' gave me a lot of hits. Based on what I saw, I would start out this way:
Check if Photoshop Elements shows in Windows as an installed program. If it does then uninstall it.
Run the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301).
Reinstall Elements.

Wicked Problem Installing Elements 2.0

Trying to install Photoshop Elements 2.0 on Windows 8.1 (says scratch disk full) Tried several times. Adjusted scratch disk size, etc,, Found a Forum where someone was succesful. It can be done. I just can't do it. Any/All suggestions PLEEEEEEEZ! LOVE IT! NEED IT! QICK! SIMPLE! ALL I NEED! AND I REALLY NEED IT!!! You're help will definately be appreciated. I'll PAY IT FOWARD in any way you'd like.

HI, Trying to install elements 2,0 in windows 8.1 intalls but when I open it screen freezes with the error message scratch disk full. I read that having 2TB of disk space results in this problem. I adjusted it. Can't remember where. Still same problem.

Problems install Elements 11

When trying to install Elements 11 when the registration window appears and I enter my
Adobe Password a popup appears as says "you must enter 6-12 characters with no
spaces or colons" and will not let me proceed with the install. Can anyone help? I was on
with their live chat support for 45 minutes and he finally said the would contact me
through email in 2-3 busniess days.

Problem installing Elements 8 on new Acer win8 laptop

I have downloaded my old Elements 8 program from the Wacom partners site to my laptops desktop . I still have my keys to unlock and I understand it should be compatable. I deactivated the program on my win7 desktop machine.
When I try and right click to open or run it from the desktop Icon all I get is a list of apps to run it, non of which will open or run the file -(folder) I cannot even choose run as administartor .
is this a compressed file folder? Do I first need to unzip it ?

The file downloads to the desktop titled adobe- pe8 1.6 GB with the image of a blank page, no logo or anything else, ( takes about 8 minutes).It is a file not a folder. and the properties indicate it is indeed 1.6GB
Problem is I cannot go any further to open it, it is not zipped, and there is no choice to 'run' it ,or open an 'executable' to start a setup procedure .Upon double
clicking or right clicking the icon, all I get is "what program do you want to use to open this file" from the computer, and a pop up list many of my loaded programs, non of which a applicable.
According to the Windows compatability site Elements 8 should play nice with Windows 8.
The same thing is happening on my other Win 7 computer so I imagine the whole file is corrupt or not being sent properly by Wacom who still has it on their server in my chosen "bundled software" from when I purchased the Intuos 4 tablet.I might take it up with wacom and see if they might know what's going on.
I have loaded many many programs over the years both as downloads and from CDs, and never experienced a problem like this with any of them.

Problem installing elements 12

I had a trial version of elements 12 that expired after 30 days. I uninstalled it and then tried to install a purchased version. When I try to use the program, it gets to the intro screen and tells me that my computer is not hooked up to the internet, or that the clock is wrong. It is hooked up to the internet and the clock is correct. I have tried to install it at least 8 times, doing an uninstall after each attempt. What am I doing wrong, ro what needs to be fixed? I am using a newer Windows 8 computer.

Problem installing elements 7 on windows7

I have elements 3, 5 and 7 for Windows.
I have Installed the 5 and 7 on my XP without problem.
But, I can't install my photoshop elements7 on my windows7.
I have the message :
" we can't create the folder "C:\windows\Fonts\Fonts" because the folder exists. try to rename it or delete the folder."
Of course, I have the admin right. But the problem is :
- the folder "Fonts" in C:\windows\Fonts doesn't exists (I haven' C:\windows\Fonts\Fonts)
- the folder Fonts (C:\windows\Fonts) is a system folder, and is in "read only", I can't delete or rename it (when I try , I have a new message : "you can't delete this folder, only the trustedInstaller has the right to delete this folder (trustedInstaller which is a componant of windows (for update, I think))
- I have tried to do that in "Safe Mode" ("mode sans échec" in french), but it's the same problem, I can't install with the same message " we can't create the folder "C:\windows\Fonts\Fonts" because the folder exists. try to rename it or delete the folder.").
So, how can I install elements7 on windows7, plesae ?

I will second what Barbara said, please use small caps while sharing your issues on the forum. We are all just trying to help here and to me as well, big caps indeed looks like someone is shouting.
Try to remove any bits of PSE 7 installer on your machine by following the below link, then follow what Barbara said that is create a new admin user, diable antivirus and then give it a try again.

Problem installing Mac OSX 10.5 on new HDDc

Hello, I needed to replace my HDD and I'm trying to install Leopard on my new blank HDD. I have the install disk that came with my macbook, but it's not working. I insert the install disc and restart the macbook holding down the C key. It starts from the CD. So I choose the language and it gives me message "Mac OS X cannot be installed on this computer. This software annot be installed on this computer" with two options OK, that does nothing, and Restart. My old HDD was the original one, that came with the mac and is broken. The new one is a Samsung SATA 320gb model HM320II/SRA. Reading about the problem in the Apple Support website I found something about updating the firmware, but I'm not sure if it applies to me.

Your 10.5 must look like * unless it was prebundled with your Mac, when you bought it from an Authorized Apple Dealer. You can't use a 10.5 disc that came with another Mac.
Also your machine must be older than the 10.5 disc if it has the image pictured above.
Once you make sure you have the correct disc, be sure to format your new hard disk GUID with the Utilities menu -> Disk Utility -> Partition -> Options button in the installer program. The default format won't allow installation of Mac operating systems.

I have had problems installing Elements 13 on an iMac running 10.9.5

I installed trial copy of Elements 13 on an iMac running 10.9.4.
All seemed fine...merged a panorama brilliantly. Filled in gaps...saved image.
Turned off iMac.
Next morning iMac would not turn on.
When eventually sorted with Apple tech support....iMac turned on and refused to print o Epson printer. Would print to HP.
Eventually had to do a harddrive erase and reload from internet.
iMac then behaved OK.
I would like Elements 13 but am very wary of installing inc axe the same thing happens again.
What reassurance can you give that Elements 13 is not bug ridden and will load Ok without screwing up my iMac completely?

Well, I would look around this forum. How many people are complaining that PSE 13 destroyed their Macs? Don't you think that if that were really happening there'd be plenty of posts about it and lots of articles on the rest of the internet?
There are a fair number of problems with PSE 13 for various people (as there are with any version), but ruining hard drives isn't one of them.

Problems installing Adobe Prod Premium 6 on new laptop

I uninstalled Adobe Production Premium 6 off of my old laptop and attempted to install it on my new Asus Windows 8 laptop. Once it asks for Disc 2 (there are 3 discs total), I press Continue, and it will look like it resumes installation, but then asks me to insert disc 2 again shortly after. I've restarted the computer and reattempted installation twice, but it still gets stuck at the same spot. Help!!! I have projects to edit asap!!

if you have a problem dl'g, you didn't follow all 7 steps. the most common error involves failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).

Problems installing Final Cut Studio on my new Macbook Pro

I just got my new 17 inch Macbook Pro, and am trying to install Final Cut Studio 3. It installed just fine, and accepted the serial number. The problem is that every time I open the application, I have to reenter the serial number. Once I do that, it runs fine, but the next time, I have to reenter the info again. Anyone have an idea of how to fix this?

Installing Elements 10 & Acrobat 10 on new laptop

I have bought a laptop and no longer use my pc. I need to install Acrobat 10 and Photoshop Elements 10 on the new machine. I have the serial numbers for both. Can I do this? Anyone have advice?

So long as you have the install media (disks) or a saved download you can do this.
