Problem installing EPM 10 add-in against office 2010 x64

I have tried installing both SP3 and SP4 of the epm10 add-in on a 64-bit server running office 2010 64-bit. The addin will not load.
The add-in installs by default to the Program Files (x86) directory, so it seems like maybe this is due to the add-in being a 32-bit application.
However, BPC 10 supports 64-bit office. Is there a way to get the add-in to load into 64-bit excel?
thanks,
Tony DeStefanis

Hi John,
Thank you. I think the following statement in the
Master Guide
SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation 10.0
Version for the Microsoft platform
on page 10-11:
The following platforms are supported:Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition or 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition·
Microsoft Office 2003, 2007(32 bit), or 2010 (32 or 64 bit)
is misleading, since it indicates that BPC 10 MS supports Office 2010 x64. Since BPC 10 relies on the EPM add-in for end-user functionality, it cannot support x64 version of office 2010.
Will the EPM add-in be updated in the future to support x64 office 2010?

  • Adobe Acrobat X incompatible with Office 2010 x64! Along with other Problems I found!

I AM VERY ANGRY AS WELL AS LOSING IT BIG TIME!!! MADDNESS!!!!
Can someone FROM ADOBE FIX THESE PROBLEMS? CAN AN UPDATE OR FIX SOLVE OUR SITUATION WITH ACROBAT X?
First off, I cannot see the plugin appear in the Office ribbon, in ANY office program. I tried everything Adobe told me to do. From trying to locate the adding through the list of disabled add-ins (which is not displayed), or the command prompts option which did not work either.
Second of all, I have this message of "Missing PDFMaker files", then after reinstalling Adobe 10 times, as well as reinstalling office 2010 x64 Bit 26 times, reformatting Windows "7" Ultimate x64 Bit 5 times, I still had no results.
Third, yet not least, the other problem is that the option to create blank PDFs no longer exists. In addition, I am unable to edit existing PDFs, even if they do not have security on them. I want a word processing feature added to Acrobat!
Can someone fix ANY of these problems, or may Adobe create an update to FIX ALL of these problems, OR AM I GOING TO DROP ACROBAT IN FAVOUR OF ANOTHER COMPANY?
I NEED HELP SOON!!!! NO TIME TO DO THIS ON MY OWN!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Series of events:
Purchased Windows 7 PC. 64 Bit OS
    Installed MS Office 2003
    Installed Acrobat 8.0.
While I did not have the complete functionality of converting Office documents to pdf's,
I could print documents and emails to pdfs.
I then upgraded my Acrobat to X. Still could print to pdf, but not do conversions.
I then upgraded to Office 2010, 64 bit. After upgrading to Office 2010, I cannot print,or convert documents to pdf using Acrobat X.
I cannot convert, or print e-mails to Pdf's in Outlook 2011. I cannot print or convert Word documents or Excel spreadsheets to to pdf's.
The only thing i can do is "Save As" a Word document into a pdf. I cannot use Acrobat X in Excel or Outlook at all.
Is there a solution to this problem?

  • Installing an add-in for Outlook 2010

We are attempting to install an add-in to Outlook 2010 32-bit on a 64-bit platform.
The installation has been built in Installshield 2012 and on my own profile correctly installs the registry entries (into HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins) and the add-in.
When I log in to the same computer as a user and open Outlook, the add-in does not appear and the registry entry appears in HKCU.
I've followed the instructions in this article (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/vsto/archive/2010/03/08/deploying-your-vsto-add-ins-to-all-users-saurabh-bhatia.aspx) and am a little stuck now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Kind Regards, Sumone

    Hello Sumone,
Make sure that you did all the steps described in the
Deploying an Office Solution by Using Windows Installer article in MSDN. Be aware, you need to have admin privileges for installing add-ins for all users.

  • Compatible  smart view version 11.1.2.1 with microsoft office 2010 x64

    Hello,
My name's Antonio Marcos and i'm trying install smart view version 11.1.2.1 in version x64 the microsoft office 2010.
The documentation, says its compatible, but when installing an error occurs.
Anyone know how to solve this problem?

I'm confused. There's an Oracle Proactive Support blog entry that says it came in with .300:
    https://blogs.oracle.com/proactivesupportEPM/entry/smartview_11_1_2_2
Even Matt Milella 'sorta' says it, here: SmartView 11.1.2.1 x64 compatibility with Microsoft Office 2010 x64
But then the latest New Features (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E38438_01/epm.111223/sv_new_features/sv_new_features.html#sv_new_features_361) definitely lumps it into the 11.1.2.2 (no dot) bundle. And John Goodwin says it. So I apologize if I'm giving out bad information.
But this doesn't help the OP, who is on 11.1.2.1. :)

  • SmartView 11.1.2.1 x64 compatibility with Microsoft Office 2010 x64

The SmartView 11.1.2.1 x64 is compatible with Microsoft Office 2010 x64?
After installing SmartView, Microsoft Excel does not recognize this supplement

11.1.2.2.300 the latest release of Smart View does support Office 64 bit. You can download the latest version here http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/smart-view-for-office/downloads/index.html or on My Oracle Support.
Remember SV is backwards compatible so the client version does not need to match the server version.

  • Essbase Add-in and Office 2010 double clicking drilling down issue

We have Office 2010 and Essbase Add-in 6.5.4 and some users are having issues when double clicking to zoom in. When using the double-click to drill down, it flashes a few times and drills down to the lowest level even though it is setup to zoom to the next level. It works when you use zoom in from the menu and this doesnt happen to all the users. Does anyone have a fix for this issue?

We had similar issue but with lower versions of excel where a double click acts continously till the lowest level is reached for the member selected. Notice that all the members are not at the lowest level, it only happens for the current selected cell in excel.
In my case a re-install of add-in worked. Have you tried re-installing add-in. See that unistall is complete before re-installation. As you understand the problem is not with all machines/users, hence it should not be an issue with add-in.

  • OBIEE 10g - Office Add-in - MS Office 2010

We have all users on MS Office 2010 and our BI app is on OBIEE 10g. Unfortunately the OBIEE 10g Office Add-in doesn't install with MS Office 2010 (It works with Office 2003 and 2007 only). Does anyone knows how to resolve this?
Other options I tried is to install Office Add-in from OBIEE 11g - It gets installed with Office 2010, but I am not able get OBIEE 10g reports.

I got the solution. Thought I should share it. The add-in available with latest version of OBIEE 10g i.e. 10.1.3.4.2 works with Office 2010.

  • Add-in in Office 2010, doesn't work, shuts down Word/Excel

    I have Acrobat Pro 9, Office 2010 Enterprise, Windows 7 64bit
I just got my computer back with the upgrades.  When I try to use the acrobat in the tab/add-in in Word or Excel, it won't do anything, on all but one choice that when I click preferences, it shuts down the Word or Excel and I get this:
"Word experienced a serious problem with the acrobat pdfmaker office com addin' add-in.  If you have seen this message multiple times, ( I have), you should disable this add-in and check to see if an update is available.  Do you want to disable this add-in?"
I saw another person asked last year but didn't find a solution.  Any suggestions now?
It is very frustrating!  I use Acrobat often at work and at home.  I've disabled the add-in.
    Please help!  Thanks in advance.

Acrobat 9 does not support Office 2010.
If you have Office 2010 32-bit, then Acrobat X Pro will work fine. Currently there is no Acrobat support for Office 2010 64-bit.
See this link for a full matrix of plugin support.

  • Problem installing VSTO Add-In

In our environment we need the ability to unload and re-install VSTO Add-Ins
    RECREATION STEPS
    Remove AddIn:
    File | Options | Add-Ins
From "Manage COM Add-Ins" ... click GO
Select the AddIn and click the remove button.
    ReInstall AddIn:
Double click on the addin (e.g. MyAddin.vsto)
Below is the error message we get.  How do we remove the AddIn so that there's no trace of it and we can safely re-install it?
    OS:  Windows 7 Professional SP1
    Outlook: 14.0.6112.5000 (32-Bit)

    Hi,
You might want to manually remove it by editing the registry.
In the RUN box type "regedit" and click
Yes. Then navigate to the following registry keys:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\product\Addins\addinName (all users entry)
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\product\Addins\addinName (current user entry)
Find the add-in that you want to uninstall then delete it. Restart the product for the change to take place.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to Add PDFMaker to Office 2010

I currently have Microsoft Office 2003 and Acrobat Pro X installed on my computer. I want to upgrade Office to Office 2010. How do I get Acrobat PDFMaker added to the newly installed Office 2010, where Acrobat X is installed (i.e. was installed before Office 2010)?
    Thanks you.

Try a repair of Acrobat. You may also have to activate the plugin in OFFICE.

  • MS Office 2010 x64

Does  iTunes support Microsoft Office 2010 64 bit yet?
iTunes seems to think I have no Contact/Email etc on my PC.
    Thanks

There are many incompatibilities with the 64 bit versions of MSOffice.  MS made the 64 bit version of Office for people with really big Excel spreadsheets and such that need a lot of memory.  But even Microsoft recommends installing the 32 bit version of Office unless you have a specific need for the 64 bit version:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word-help/choose-the-32-bit-or-64-bit-version- of-microsoft-office-HA010369476.aspx
IMPORTANT    The 32-bit version of Office 2010 is the recommended option for most people, because it prevents potential compatibility issues with other 32-bit applications, specifically third-party add-ins that are available only for 32-bit operating systems.
I initially had Office 2010 64 bit, running on a Windows 7 64 bit machine to sync a Windows Mobile 6.1 phone, only to find out that the built-in syncing services of Windows 7 don't work with Outlook 64 bit.  Even Microsoft didn't make the 64 bit version of Office fully functional with their own products!
Unfortunately, you cannot install the 32 bit version of Outlook if you have any of the 64 bit versions of the other MSOffice pieces.  So unless you have a specific need, you should uninstall the 64 bit version and reinstall the 32 bit version of Office.  The 32 bit version of Office will run just fine on a 64 bit version of Windows.

I found I could fix this by removing the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\eventlog\Microsoft-Exchange-Troubleshooters/Operational
    and everything underneath it.
My guess is that wevtutil didn't like adding an event log where it already existed but was slightly different in setup (no idea how, exactly).
After 24 hours I'll try post again - giving things time to make sure they are actually working.
