Problem Installing Graphic Card Driver in Lenovo G505s AMD A8

Configuration Processor - AMD A8-5550M RAM - 8GB (4*4 configuration) OS - Windows 10 (Upgraded From Windows 8.1) Graphics - AMD Radeon HD 8650G + HD 8570M Dual Graphics  I have upgraded my system on 30th July to Windows 10 Pro. Now i am unable to install Graphic Card Driver.I Even tried unninstalling the Drivers using DDU(Display Driver Unnistaller) in Safe Mode and tried Re-installing Driver but while reinstalling Driver my system always Restarts and installation interrupts in between I tried this 4 times then i tried using without driver but my laptop used to get thermal shutdown. So Finally i performed a System Restore, but i wanted  to perform a clean install for which this problem must be solved as i won't be able to do system restore after clean install. One more Problem after i've upgraded to windows 10 my graphic driver is recognized differently as R5 M200 but actually its HD 8570M. Observations Whlile installing Driver :Laptop gets Heated and restarts firstly i thought its a Thermal Shut Down but it restarted and i even tried to preform the installation after placing my laptop in front of air-conditioner but it again restarted.Help me out finding the solution for this problem.Warm Regards,Rishabh

  • Help! How to install graphics card driver?

I installed a Solaris 8 system on Intel platform with S3 Savage 4 graphics
card equipped. Seems Solaris doesn't support this card, so I downloaded a
driver file named savage_drv.o from somewhere. How can I install it
under Solaris to replace default standard VGA card I installed during
    installation.
    Thanks

i'm in the same situation. i have solaris 8 x86 and i went to http://www.probo.com/timr/savage40.html and downloaded the savage_drv.o driver as well (because it's the only hope i've found related to running a savage4 on this platform) and i'm not sure how to go about switching out this driver for the VGA driver that's currently implemented. there are no instructions about this on the site, the only real instructions are for linux/bsd and those are pretty much no-brainers anyway.
if ANYONE knows how to do this that would be great. thanks in advance!

  • Installing graphic card driver instructions?

Hi, I have an Intel HD4600 right now, but its opengl feature set is too lacking. Therefore, I'm going to upgrade to a Nvidia GTX 750 Ti. I know in Windows, you first remove the drivers, install the card, and then install the new drivers. Is the process the same here?
    pacman -Rns xf86-video-intel
    pacman -Rns lib32-intel-dri
Change the kernel parameters for booting.
    Shut down and install card.
    Turn on.
    pacman -S nvidia-beta-ck
Will that work? I fear that there's not a default generic fallback driver like there is in windows, and then I will be unable to boot. Also, how is updating supposed to work? Will doing a system update also generate an initramfs or do I need dkms/hook?

    yep that's haswell's igp
I thought so. If you disable the iGPU in BIOS, then it's a simple case of removing the Intel Drivers and installing the nVidia drivers.

  • HP Pavilion DV3 41700-EE Problem-Black Screen after installing graphic card driver

    Hi,
Laptop Model : HP Pavilion DV3 41700-EE Entertainment series.
I download the latest official driver for my lap top from this link : http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-93326-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&...
After the installation i rebooted my device and after the windows loading i got a black screen ! i went to safe mode and unistall the video card and also it's driver from device manager and when i came back the black screen was gone but i have only my onboard Integ graphic which is very slow.
also i went to AMD web site and get AMD Catalyst from their web site but nothing happened after the installation and i think they don't provide an appropriate driver for my lap top.
i also tries to go to device manager and with right click on my display adapter and update driver point to the display driver location on my syste but this time it does not take time the black screen after restart, and in the middle of installation i got a black screen.
Also i upgraded my BIOS Firmware from 16 to 24, but nothing changed.
i just wanna know is it a software problem or hardware problem ? how can i find out that ?
also i don't want this switchy manner and i don't care about the power efficency. i just want to my device work on maximum performance.
What you suggest i do ?

Use the recovery manager to reinstall the original AMD graphics driver and Catalyst Control center.

  • Lenovo G510 Graphics Cards Driver Problem

    Hi!
I just bought the Lenovo G510 Laptop, with an Radeon 8750, and installed Windows 8 64 Bit.
After installing the drivers from the provided CD, I get the following Bugcheck error code in WhoCrashed
    0xA0000001 (0x5, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0)
when rebooting ,or when I try to open the Catalyst Control Center.
Actually the AMD graphics card driver seems to be responsible, as this problem does not occur until I install this driver.
I tried to use the driver provide at the Lenovo support page too (for both Windows 8 and 7), with the same result. The ThinkVantage System Update does not install an AMD graphics driver at all.
Accordding to WhoCrashed atikmdag.sys causes this error.
I would highly appreciate any help!

    Hi Aimor,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
I’m sorry to hear that the Wireless driver is not getting installed in your G510 Laptop, I suggest you to download a fresh copy of the driver from the below mentioned link and while installing the driver right click on the downloaded file and select “Run as administrator” option to get it installed without any error:
WLAN Driver (Atheros, Broadcom, Realtek) for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit)
Do post us back if the issue still persists.

  • Can't install a graphic card driver.

    Hi,
I recently installed Windows XP Home Edition on my Mac succesfully and installed all the drivers etc...
But one day, I decided to install an official updated graphic card driver from the nVidia official site. When I run the install process, it says that it can't find compatible drivers with my hardware, even though I downloaded the correct version of it ( 9M GeForce series for notebooks for Windows XP 32bit, and my 9600M GT was in the list of compatible cards)
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that my Windows isn't really a PC or something, that it is emulated I dunno. I haven't installed an anti-virus yet, maybe it's because of that ?
Please note that I installed Windows only to play games, so is it a problem not having the latest graphic card ?
    Sincerely.

sometimes I wonder why respond when it is usually just to direct people to other forums, which seems to be a habit, and they would have directed you to VMware or Parallels site normally.
I figure people do know what they are doing after a while, and don't install drivers unless they are running Windows, and I detest the "I'm running Boot Camp" which is senseless, Boot Camp is just not something you can "run" and is only a set of drivers (and services or tasks).
Okay... as I alluded to, XP doesn't allow installing graphic drivers. Not embedded or mobility. People had to run to modified drivers from laptop2go or elsewhere. It is up to Apple etc to normally provide such drivers.
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebookwinxp_195.62whql.html
And yes, IF it was a PC, and if drivers were kept current, and if you could boot into BIOS and make necessary changes.
With Windows 7, uninstalling graphic driver in Device Manager and let Windows install its own might work.

  • Software problem? Installed graphics card does not meet minimum requirements

Ok - I seem to have just met the same problem that others have experienced. MB Pro, less than 3 years old, graphics card NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256MB.  I have been using Aperture up until about 1/2 hour ago with no problem.  Just now trying to sync my iPad, and Aperture (which launches automatically) responds with "installed graphics card does not meet minimum requirements".  All software is fully up to date, running latest versions of all Apple software.  What is going on please?  I have restarted several times, tried Command/Option/P/R on restarting, but nothing seems to make it work.

You might try to reboot again, this time with the Shift-key hold down to boot into safe mode. This will clear some caches and reset the graphics card. Aperture will not run in safe mode. You will have to reboot a second time.
Do you use an external Monitor? Then disconnect it, before rebooting.
    Regards
    Léonie
P.S: Do you use a blue tooth keyboard? If you turn it on while booting, you may accidentally boot into Safe mode without noticing it, and then Aperture will give exactly the above error message.

  • Have Upgrade Graphic Card Driver, But Still Cannot Adjust Screen Brightness and Sleep Button Not Showing After Clean Installation of Windows 8.1

I have done clean installation of Windows 8.1 on my HP Pavilion G4.
Then I realize that I cannot put my computer on sleep mode and cannot adjust screen brightness.
I understand that those problems caused by the graphic card driver.
My computer is running on AMD Radeon HD 6400 series.
Thus, I manually search on internet and found a latest graphic card update on microsoft site that is claimed compatible on windows 8.1 (link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/dn344644.aspx).
I've upgraded it into the latest one. I've check on Device Manager, the driver is running well.
But my problem did not solved!
    Please give me the solution!

    Hi,
How about go to Device Manager, then uninstall Graphic driver and restart your computer, system will install its build in graphic drver. You can have a try.
In addition, access to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Brightness and set its value to 100 for test.

    hi Ashish1793,
If you're running on Windows 7 64bit, can you consider the following:
    1. Navugate to the Control Panel (icon views) > Display Adapters and uninstall both the Intel and AMD Display driver then reboot.
    2. Install the Intel Display Driver first then reboot.
    3. Install the AMD Dislpay Driver (the files will be extracted drivers to the C:\Drivers\VGA folder - overwrite if prompted and reboot if necessary)
When finished,  you should now have both the Intel HD Graphics 4600 and AMD R5 M230 in the Device Manager > Display Adapters
If you get a Code 43 error on the AMD Display Device Manager, try to install the AMD R5 M230 driver directly from AMD website and observe.
If you have Windows 8.1, download the Intel and AMD Display driver from the G50-70 drivers page and install them respectively.

  • Update graphic card driver

Hey, guys. I have a macbook pro with 330m nvidia card on board. I started to play Skyrim(a game) in windows 7 a few days ago. Knowing the graphic card driver is not updated, I have been always ponderring on if it worth a try to update the driver on my own, instead of waiting for Apple to do it. Basically, I am not sure about the risk. Will the latest official driver overheat my laptop? Also, should I install the whole package (including Physix and others), or only the graphic card driver? Anyone who have experience please help? Thx.

Boot Camp has been a great asset for we who desire to play PC games on our Macs. A problem I see emerging is the thinning down of the laptops. Faster chips and less space means more heat to get rid of. Because of this I think we are seeing some compromise in the Macs. Until the latest round of new models the MacBook Pros pretty much kept up with the gaming PCs in regards to the processor, graphics, and RAM.
Here is a comparison of what is currently available for maxed out 15" laptops from Apple and Clevo. I assume the compactness of the Mac precludes the use of the higher performing components.
    2012 MacBook Pro Retina
    2.7GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7
    16GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M, 1GB GDDR5
    2012 Clevo P150EM
    2.9GHz Core i7-3920XM Extreme
    32GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM
    NVIDIA GTX 680M, 4GB GDDR5
As an aside I have become an Elder Scrolls enthusiast. I started out with Skyrim in January and am still working on visiting  all the places on the big map. I have also acquired Oblivion, Morrowind, and Daggerfall which are in various stages of completion. Here is what hardware I run them on.  Happy gaming.
    Skyrim - Clevo P150HM (2011) Win7
    Oblivion - MacBook Pro (2010) BootCamp/Win7
    Morrowind - MacBook (2006) BootCamp/WinXP
    Daggerfall - MacBook (2006) BootCamp/WinXP

  • Installed graphics card does not support the opengl features recommended

I've installed FCP6 on my PowerMac (PPC G4 DP 1.25GHz), and when I run it, I get a warning ("...installed graphics card does not support the opengl features recommended...") and the program ends. The graphics card is the ATI Radeon 9000 Pro (64MB)
I'm looking for a definitive answer regarding my hardware compatibility with FCS2 (specifically, FCP6). I'm NOT looking for an answer along the lines of: your system is too old to run this.
I've checked the minimum system requirements from the apple website (http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/specs/
    and http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/download/):
    * A Macintosh computer with a 1.25GHz or faster PowerPC G4, PowerPC G5, Intel Core Duo, or Intel Xeon processor
    * 1GB of RAM
    * An AGP or PCI Express Quartz Extreme graphics card (Final Cut Studio is not compatible with integrated Intel graphics processors)
    * A display with 1024-by-768 resolution or higher
    * Mac OS X v10.4.11 or later
    * QuickTime 7.3 or later
    * DVD drive for installation
I have all that stuff. What I'd like is to know which component of my system is FCP6 complaining about (vis-a-vis the error message above), alternatively, if someone has had success with a similar configuration, I'd like to know anything they think might help.
Thanks in advance for any helpful advice you may have.

The minimum would probably be an nVidia Fx5200 or an ATI 9600...

  • How to check Graphic Card driver?

How can I found out what Graphics Card driver I am running on my MacBook Pro? I open About This Mac, click on More Info, look at Graphics/Displays, but I'm not sure which number or whatever is the driver.

I'm going stick my head out on a limb and guess you are recent PC convert and are used to having to keep on top of the latest drivers and such. If that's the case with a Mac you don't need to do that and cannot download graphics card updates. What you can do is run Software Update and if there are any new updates (graphics or otherwise) it will let you know. It will then download and install those updates to your system. I believe what you are looking at is System Profiler which (as you have already seen) doesn't provide any more specifics than what you have already seen.

    Roger
