GE60 2OC Intel HD Graphics Drivers stop responding & Optimus
Hey,
I got my GE60 today, I'm not sure from the model but I think it's 2OC. It's similar to this: notebook.de/msi-gaming-ge60-i750m281fd-intel-core-i7-4700mq-240ghz-dos-p-57394
It's FreeDOS, and I had some problems installing it, as Windows didn't want to install to the hard drive, but then I changed the booting mode to Legacy and the installation worked.
I installed all drivers (from CD) + Nvidia's own 750M driver + Intel's own graphics driver.
Now it's doing this:
The image is somewhere from the internet, but it's basically the same (I have Win8 and it says Intel HD Graphics Drivers with me)
That happens like every 5-10 minutes, 2-3 times during writing this post. Can I fix this somehow?
Also, I would like to disable Optimus, as it sucks imo. I want to use the full potential from my notebook whenever I need and want to. Disabling it would probably also remove the problem as I wouldn't have to use the Intel graphics card then.
I hope that nothing is broken from the laptop, other than software ;pQuote from: naf on 25-July-13, 05:22:04
Which drivers exactly? I have installed the drivers from the official CD, but of course, they might be outdated.
Should I remove something before installing?
Windows' own troubleshoot with the advice to edit the registry didn't work either.
e: I installed the MSI's driver for the Intel Graphics, but it didn't really help :/
e2: it stopped responsing after the installation, but while after that, it has worked perfectly. let's see where this is going..
e3: uh oh, it did it again.. :(

Ima kinda desperated here, because Ive donwloaded from the hp support site the last driver, but it keeps showing the yellow exclamation on it. How should I do to instal the Driver correctly : (sorry bout english)
You can download and install Intel HD graphics driver from below intel website and check if graphic drivers are installed properly.

Intel HD Graphics driver on Yoga 2 Pro fails after Windows 10 upgrade
Yoga 2 Pro. Everything working fine under Windows 8.1. Upgraded to Windows 10 RTM version. Intel HD Graphics device failed, message in Device Manager is "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". Installed the latest Windows 10 driver for Yoga 2 Pro from the Lenovo support site (driver dated 7/15/2015). This did not fix the problem. Interestingly, the first time I installed the driver from the support site (I tried it twice), I received a message stating "I already have a newer version of the driver installed". I chose to overwrite/install anyhow, as this was the supported driver from Lenovo. In addition, the Intel Graphics Control Panel (that installed with the driver) fails to come up as well. Is this a known problem? Is there anything else to try? How do I determine exactly which version of Intel HD Graphics I have (there seems to be many versions listed on Intel web site).

Update: I've not had stability when using the Windows 8.1 driver on my Yoga 2 Pro running Windows 10. The Intel HD Graphics Family driver shows "Working Properly" after first reverting back to the Windows 8.1 driver and the Micro-HDMI port works initially. At some point though, I end up with the device showing disabled and I'm also having Audio issues. I decided to upgrade the BIOS which went OK (upgraded from Kona BIOS Version 76CN31WW to Version 76CN43WW). Then I re-installed the Windows 10 Intel HD Graphics Family driver from the Lenovo website (Version 10.18.15.2040 showing a data of 7/15/15 on the website but 6/16//15 once installed). However, the driver shows disabled as not working properly so I'm not happy. I'll continue to consider purchasing a support option but figure it'll only reap an apology and perhaps some information confirming the problem but I expect paying for support won't result in a working Windows 10 driver any sooner. I'm not aware how to report a problem like this to Lenovo without paying them to hear about the trouble they're causing me.Let me stop you from wasting your money. I too had the problem you described. What I made sure of was that once I installed that 8.1 driver, and in my case, the one dated March 2014, I went into Windows Update and disabled automatic updates. That is where it kept getting updated for me. That was a week ago and still have stability using the old driver. Hope this helps. Intel needs to make a stable Windows 01 driver like yesterday. -

Flashing is what some other sites specialize in, or even troubleshooting non-Apple cards.
There is an AMD Mac Edition 7950. Now. As well as EVGA GTX 680.
All of those were tested and reported on by Barefeats - back in March-May 2013.
Apple? not interested in PC cards other than they have quietly added more driver support in 10.8.3 and especially above. Not in 10.8.2.
Be interesting to see what Maverick support provides as far as GPUs.
And netkas and others are up on PC graphic cards, not Apple, even if they don't write drivers, they do often write how to flash a PC card and support. Apple and this discussion, no. -

Problem: I have a New Mac and my iPod is formatted for Windows
My old computer (PC with Windows) crashed and took all my music with it.
I got a new computer, a Mac. I have looked at many different programs for moving music from the iPod to the computer and many are appealing (Podworks and iRip). However, they do not seem to be working because my computer is not recognizing my iPod. I set my iPod into disk mode by following the instructions on this website. However, that has not helped.
The problem may be in the fact that my iPod is formatted for Windows and I am no longer using Windows. I cannot reformat my iPod for a Mac at this point because my iPod is the only location of my music. Reformatting it now would erase all my music and I have no backup!!
When I am plugging my iPod into the computer, I am holding the Option+Command keys to make sure that the iPod does not automatically sync. Is this necessary? I ask this because my iPod has no connection with this computer's iTunes and I have doubts that it would automatically sync. It seems that by holding the Option+Command Keys I am preventing the computer from recognizing the iPod. A brief iPod icon appears on the desktop and then disappears.Have you failed to maintain a backup?

Good evening I would please help me, IGood evening I would please help me, I have problems with flash player when update on my computer Flash Player for windows 8, gives me error in the installation that is not apply on my computer. Please help. Thank You
First, confirm that ActiveX Filtering is configured to allow Flash content:
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/867968
Internet Explorer 11 introduces a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.
You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11
If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative. -
Not installing intel hd graphics hp oficcial site driver and brightness problem
after downgrading to window 8.1 to window 7 (64 bit ) issue of intel hd 4400 in hp 15 r0-14tx does not install the intel graphics (SHOWING ERROR : SYSTEM DOES NOT MEET MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS) PLZZZZZZZZZZZ help how to fix itzzzzzz.......
AND I also dont have recovery drive it is deleted by meeeee....You have tried any other unsupported version of graphics driver???
If yes then uninstall it and reinstall your computer then try to reinstall driver which you have just downloaded.
If you dont have installed any unsupported driver then try the following
1) Right click on computer
2) Click on manage
3) In left panel select device manager.
4) Find your graphics controller (Mostly found in display adapter)and right click on it and choose option update driver software.(You need to find your graphics controller yourself because it was diferrent for diferrent models i.e. I have Intel(R)HD Graphics in display adaptars)
5)If this was doesnt fix your problem then try Intel driver updater or Driver navigator tool -

Welcome to the HP Forums!
It is a superb place to find answers and ideas!
For you to have the best experience in the HP forum I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide Learn How to Post and More
I grasp that you had to replace the fan on the notebook and you have installed Windows 8.
How did you install Windows 8, was it an upgrade or a complete install from a Windows disk?
When I checked the HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide for you notebook I see that you have switchable graphics.
As your notebook is a CTO (custom to order) I am unsure if you have dual AMD GPUs or Intel +Amd GPUs so I am including both links.
Here are links that you should find informative and helpful.
Overview of Switchable Graphics or Dual GPUs
Switchable Graphics on Notebooks Configured with Dual AMD GPUs
Switchable Graphics on Notebooks Configured with Intel and ATI GPUs
Here is a link to the HP Pavilion dv6t-6b00 CTO Quad Edition Entertainment Notebook PC Drivers.
Download and save the chipset driver, and both graphic drivers.
Delete the current drivers the chipset
Install the chipset driver and restart your notebook. Restarting the notebook is an important step and must not be omitted.
Delete the graphic drivers
Now install the graphics drivers.
Restart your notebook.
If you are still unable to install the driver, I suggest contacting HP support for assistance.

How do I install the builtin graphics drivers for my Dell Latitude D620 in Windows 8.1?
Hi, I would like to be guided through the correct driver installation for the in-built integrated graphics driver for my "Dell Latitude D620" Laptop PC which is running Windows 8.1 Pro (32-bit). By default, Windows 8.1 includes ans installs the
"Microsoft Basic Display Adapter driver" to maintain compatibility with the OS. I would like to install the original and genuine graphics driver supplied by Dell Inc. (not by Microsoft) on Win 8.1, how can I achieve this? please
help.Yes, Dell will have better answer for this issue
Since this PC quite old, I suggest contact Dell
Based on product spec, your Laptop maybe using 256MB NVIDIA® Quadro NVS 110M TurboCache or
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 (Up to 224MB shared5)
http://www.dell.com/us/dfb/p/latitude-d620/pd
there is no driver for Windows 8.1 32 bit
http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/Product/latitude-d620
This is Windows 8.1 system requirement, I suggest discuss with Dell

Unable to update Intel HD graphics drivers on my new computer
Hi,
I just recently bought a desktop HP Pavilion PC with Windows 8 64-bit which includes an Intel HD Graphics card but when I try to download the latest driver for my graphics (version 15.33.18.64.3496) on Intel's site it says I need to download it from PC manufacturer.
When I search for this update either on HPs site or using HP Support Assistant, it is not appearing so I cannot download it. This is causing me to run games in 'fair' graphics to lower the framerate and the games all say i need to update my video card.
Please help, growing frustrated!!
P.S. i've now upgraded to Windows 8.1 but still not resolved the issue.
Thanks,
Admurphy85Thank you for the additional information.
I normally recommend a PSU with at least 500W. However, 600W is better for future upgrades. Here is a Corsair PSU that will do a good job. Corsair makes enthusiast quality products for a good price. It is best to measure the existing PSU to assure that the new one will fit.
As for video cards, I like XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order. I came to these preferences from being on many enthusiast/gamer forums over the years. You should pick a video card and get the measurements. Then, make a template the same size and to see if it will fit into the space provided. You should add at least one inch if the card has extra power connector/s. Normally, a card in the range of 9" to 9.5" will work fine. Newegg is a good place to shop for cards. Their specifications are more complete than other etailers. It would be good if you find a card. Post a link and I will review it for you.
