while installing ios 6, the ipod otuch turned off alone. when i turn it on, the apple appears and then the screen goes white and appear in this a gray line in the bottom of the screen. someone did the same? Can you help me please?

OK my friends, It seems like we encountered an important bug of IOS 6 affecting IPOD, I just have revive my Ipod Touch by connecting it to another USB port, maybe you'll have to connect it to another computer if doesn't work. Then if you are lucky, a minute later (at least) iTunes will show up, then a message of Restoration required will appear, do it, no other solution I have found. The bad news is you'll lose your Ipod data. I will never trust blindly in a new IOS version, I can't synchronize my Ipod anymore,please IF ITUNES ASK YOU FOR IOS UPDATE for your IPOD to version 6, SAY A BIG NO, THANK YOU.

FB 4.5.1 problem installing iOS application

I have gone through one of the Adobe tutorials to create the Twitter Trends mobile application using FB 4.5.1. I then went through the well-documented process to install this app on my iPhone (signing up as an Apple developer, setting up the phone, etc). I am able to produce the .ipa file needed to install the app on my iPhone. However, when trying to install via iTunes, I get the following error:
The app "<appname>" was not installed on the iPhone "<iPhone>" because it is not compatible with this iPhone.
Has anyone seen this error before? The iOS is up to date (4.2.1) as is my version of Flashbuilder.

So sad ... guess I can't read. Need to trade this thing up anyway.

Apple's servers are probably very busy. You may want to wait for a little while before trying again.

Problems installing iOS 7.0.3 on iPhone 4S

What a pain! It hung during the update, got stuck in one of the verifying phases (while connected to iTunes), went into recovery mode, then I kept getting the "USB Device needs more power" error message, which messed up my restore. Finally I plugged it into a direct USB port instead of one of the ports on my keyboard, and it seems to be restoring (finally). Never had a problem with an update before til now.

What did not work?
If help is desired, stop being vague and provide specifics of the problem.

IPAD 3 Trying to download IOS7. Downloading goes along until it says "preparing for installation. Then up comes error message. No number on the error.

I would hold down the lock screen button (top) and the home button (on screen) for about ten seconds. The ipad will turn off then the apple icon will appear. Let go when the icon appears and then try again.
Also you can update your itunes and then just use itunes to update your device.

Thank you very much for your quick response. It took two tries, but it worked, it through me a curve, it directed me to plug in to my computer and go to iTunes, so that is how I did it. I am not very iPad savvy, so for me , it was a challenge . It also brought the iPad back to original set up. Had to set up all apps again. Oh we'll, I appreciate your help. Thanks again.

IPad Retina installed iOS 8.0.1 before they yanked it... what do I do?

I was lucky with my phone and I ended up like these guys (Problem installing iOS 8.0.1) and I was able to remove the worthless install file that cannot be installed by going to Settings -> General -> Usage and then waiting for the list to populate and then selecting iOS 8.0.1 and deleting it. I was not so lucky with my iPad. I have the botched 8.0.1 update. What do I do? I was on 7.x before a couple hours ago.

Just like Chettown, my iPad is also stuck in some sort of recovery loop. iTunes regularly mentions that I have an ipad waiting to be restored all the while continuously downloading the same "update".
Completely pointless, and in the meantime my ipad simply displays an image asking to be hooked up to itunes. The only other thing I can do is turn it off.

IPod touch Battery Problems Since iOS 7 was installed last year.

Hello, I've had recurring battery problems with my iPod touch since the iOS 7 update was installed, and I find myself having to charge my iPod touch (5th Generation) a lot more frequently since I installed this update.
On iOS 6, I had never experienced any problems with the iPod touch's battery, as I was able to let the battery drain down completely, and let it charge for 4 hours (recommended). After the iPod touch was fully charged for 4 whole hours, I was able to unplug the lightning cable, and the iPod touch on its own would last a few days to at least a week or two weeks.
On iOS 7, since it saw its general release on the 18th September last year, I have found that the iPod's battery has drained so bad, that it dies too quickly, and when I put the iPod touch on charge, in almost an hour, the iPod touch tells me that it is 100% charged. However, when I take the iPod touch off its charge after it fully charges for that hour, it quickly drains down again.
I have gone through the standard procedure of restoring my iPod touch to its factory settings, and I have seen absolutely no improvement on the battery life whatsoever. I mainly back up whatever is on my iPod touch (I back up pictures, videos and also transfer updates that I have installed for certain apps onto iTunes), though I have seen how some people have backed up the data on their iPod's or iPhones, only they find their iDevice draining so quickly.
Even turning off certain features in the Settings app to improve the battery life doesn't help, as there is almost no difference that solves the problems I'm currently having with the iPod touch's battery.
I recently heard about the free iPhone battery replacement program which is now available, so I'm starting to worry whether I have to pay for a new replacement battery for my iPod touch.
Your help in this matter would be gratefully appreciated.

I mainly charge the iPod touch itself for four hours and it still doesn't make a difference. I've had my iPod touch for almost 2 years and since I installed iOS 7, it still doesn't make a difference.
I was wondering, if the article you have provided doesn't sort the problems with the battery out, is there another alternative??

Has anyone had the same problem with IOS 6 install and McAfee flagging certain IOS 6 install components as Malware?

I was using ITunes to install IOS 6 on my 64GB IPad 2 when McAfee on my IMac (Software OS X 10.8.1 (12B19)) reported that it had found Malware and had put the offending file into quarantine. The IOS 6 install process then tried to re-write the file. This happened with three seperate files that the IOS 6 install process was attempting to write, effectivley causing a stall in the process. The only way I could get the install process to complete was to go into the McAfee preferences and change quarantine to notify. The process then completed. Has anyone else come across this problem?

Hmmmm... That did not work. I did the full restore on the ipod touch (Losing that is the lesser of the two evils if I screwed it up) and before I resynced it, I unplugged it and tried to plug it into the wall adapter. But it would not charge. Plugged it back into the computer and it popped right up with the lightning bolt on the battery and began charging.
So I resynced it and at least all my stuff is still there. Not going to bother trying with my phone if it didn't work on the ipod touch.
I can assure you my 4s is out of warranty. I've had it for 2 years.

I never thought that I would forget the fact that before downloading some software from Internet, I should disable my antivirus, firewall, anti spyware and cos.

I restored my settings my I got the new phone but I think I heard that with the iOS 6 updated that can be an issue and it is better to start from scratch rather than restore your settings.

reset all settings
settings- general- reset - reset all settings
now reconnect to wifi
settings - wifi- click network name - enter password - join
if issue persists backup info and restore via itunes

There are many people experiencing the same with the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4S. The hardware in these devices is barely adequate to run iOS8. You can look for obvious menu settings (like turning off or minimizing background app refresh) but there is no getting around the fact that these two devices are barely up to running iOS8.

Problem with Photoshop Express IOS 8.02 - I recently installed IOS 8.02 on my iPad Air and Photoshop Express cannot access my full library of images. Also, when opening the app, I'm not given the option of selecting "Open from Adobe Revel", "Take a Picture" or "Open from Camera Roll".......I am taken directly to a small selection of images. The only images that show up are the saved photos previously adjusted through Photoshop Express. I also updated my iPhone 5s with IOS 8.02 and Photoshop Express works perfectly on the iPhone with all images in my library visible.

Yes, the Old Master file has a folder for each year where I find all photos from that specific year. I am attaching a screen shot of the file.
In the meantime i have managed to download all photos (it did not download any video files though in mpg, avi, 3gp, m4v,mp4 and mov format) to a new iphoto library. Unfortunately the photos are quite mixed and often doubled up. I ma considering to purchase iphoto library which checks all duplicates in iphoto. this will save me a lot of time. What do you think?
