Problem installing j2ee1.3 sdk - help plz

I have installed j2ee1.3 in my machine (winxp). when i try to run the server by running the command "j2ee -verbose" i get the following error.
C:\j2sdkee1.3\bin>j2ee -verbose
'C:\Program' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
C:\j2sdkee1.3\bin>
I have set all the env.variables like java_home,j2ee_home, path to appropriate directories.
can anyone please help in this regard?

That was the ticket. I installed J2SE 1.4 and now J2EE works just fine. I owe your a beer... or, three.

I have downloaded JAVA 2 SDK, SE v.1.4.0 and Forte for Java CE 3.0 without any trouble, but when I go to install it, I get stuck at the SDK installation screen, and nothing happens.
I did restart my computer after downoading the file, but that did not help. I have been looking at the installation screen now for about an hour. What do I do? Please, somebody help me.

I had a similar problem with J2SDK 1.4.0 and Forte
3.0 on a Win98 box. Realizing that J2SDK 1.4.0 is a
BETA release, I dropped back to J2SDK 1.3.0_02. It
works fine!

Problems mounting usb Maxtor disk Help PLZ

Usb maxtor disk that already has 2 OSX partitions does not want to mount in 10.4.9 updated mac mini.
Disk utils in 10.4.9 is smoking some weed and does not / or want to do anything with the usb Maxtor.
Tried on windows with Macdrive 7.0.4 trail and nothing mounting as well.
Success on windows with Macdrive 6.1.5 trail and it mounted.
Any idea what is going on here as it used to mount perfectly in osx sometime ago but not sure if it was in 10.4.8 or earlier.

Indeed, I too have externals, both USB and FW attached to Macs running 10.4.9 and have no similar problems. I think the signs are that 10.4.9 is fine and that the issue in this instance is with your Mac or drive. Understanding that should help focus attention where it needs to be in order to resolve the problems you are experiencing.
First things first - if you are using a hub, shut the Mac and drive down, disconnect the hub and connect the drive directly to the Mac. Then power up the Mac, and once booted, power up the drive. Open Disk Utility (in Applications>Utilities on your mini), select the external drive (the entry giving the make/model/size) and select 'repair disk'. Next, select the first partition on the drive in Disk Utility, and repeat the repair disk. Lastly, select the second partition on the drive, and again, repair disk. If you get an error with any of these repairs which then reports a repair cannot be effected, the drive has damage - likely data rather than physical - which will either require a utility such as DiskWarrior or Tech Tools Pro to attempt to resolve, or a reformat after you have backed up your data. Problems of that sort can often result from drives that are powered down or disconnected while writing or updating.
If Disk Utility reports no errors after undertaking all three repairs, or the system continues to be unable to read the drive correctly, the problem is with the MacOS install on your system. In that instance, first try to repair permissions on your internal hard drive (also using disk utility). An SMC reset may also help.

Cant Instal Itunes...Help plz..

Every time i try to instal itunes it tells me that the older version of Apple Software Update cannot be removed. Ive tried many time to delete the older version but it says its blocked.....Plz..Help.

Problem installing CS2 Premium (please help)

I bought a copy of CS2 a couple of years ago ("free" support has now expired). I installed it on my desktop and laptop (both running XP). Worked fine.
Last year, I upgraded the laptop and wanted to de-register (or whatever the Adobe term is for deleting that machine from their database) and install it on the new database. The de-registration appeared to work, but the installation on the new machine didn't. All of the Adobe software (not the Macromedia stuff) would start and stop, due to the inappropriate registration. I called customer service, and was informed that my "free" support had expired, but that someone "might be able to help" for $50/hour. I declined and have just used the software on the desktop.
Last weekend, the desktop machine died and I replaced it. Now, as far as I can tell, I have no way of de-registering either installation (the funky version on the old laptop or the one on the dead desktop), and no way to keep using a software package that cost me a couple of thousand dollars.
Really frustrating.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HUGE problem installing FCP 7 -- Please HELP

I know that the people in this forum are ridiculously smart -- I REALLY need some help!
For the past six days I have been trying to install FCP 7. I had a version of Final Cut Studio 2 and I wanted to upgrade to FCP 3. So I put the install discs in and it automatically made me skip over installing FCP 7. I am attaching a screen shot below. You'll notice that for FCP is says "SKIP" under actions. I thought that this was due to an issue with Installer reading my old serial from FCS 2, because I never had to enter the serial number for FCS 3.
OK, so I downloaded FCS Remover and got rid of Final Cut Studio. I put in my install disc and I did have to enter the serial number. It went through fine BUT I got that SAME EXACT screen with FCP amid others being told to "skip." I do not have the option to change this.
Is there anyone else out there that can help me with this?

Both Final Cut and Compressor are unable to be checked....Most of my projects were saved in FCP 6. My partner tried to give me a project in FCP which is why I tried to upgrade. Right now I can't even access FCP 6. I might try to wipe my hard drive clean and reboot from a Time Machine backup that had FCS 2.
I might try to bring this to the Apple Store. My Macbook Pro is under warranty, though I'm not sure if they would know anything about Pro Apps
Wow, this whole ordeal has really been a nightmare.

Problem installing on iMac - please help

I have been having nothing but problems with this Leopard install on my iMac (though it seems to be working on my Macbook Pro). Here's what happened:
- The iMac install was going just fine. I selected the hard drive (no yellow exclamation or anything like that) and it began to install. After about 2 minutes it kicked me out and said there was an error.
- ok. So I rebooted and tried it again. From this time on, whenever I tried to install Leopard on the hard drive there was a yellow exclamation, and I got the infamous "Can't install OS X on this volume without changing installation settings" (basically erasing the disk)
- Then I tried Leopard Disk Utility. When I tried to verify the disk, it gave me an error saying the disk has the incorrect number of extended attributes (should be 0 instead of 238) and it needs to be repaired. But it wouldn't let me repair it, even if I rebooted off the DVD.
- Next, I went back to Tiger's Disk Utility and verified the disk and repaired permissions. There seemed to be an error that was corrected, so I thought that would do the trick. Wrong! By the way, I checked the partitions and the disk is formatted with a GUID partition.
- Even after the repair and verification with Tiger, I still get the same problems. When I go to install Leopard, it doesn't work and I get the same errors if I run Leopard Disk Utility.
I can't afford to lose my settings, etc. Does anyone know how I might be able to get this to work?

Problem installing DrJava- can anyone help?

I am very new to programming and am currently taking my first introductory course in Java programming. I tried to install DrJava onto my home computer (which uses Windows XP), but I got stuck after I ran the Install Wizard.
I am quite confused about how to run DrJava, and am having problems setting the Path Variable (actually, I'm not really sure what this is either or how to create a path). Could someone kindly explain, in simple terms, how to set the path and access DrJava? I have read over the Installation Notes many times and still don't understand.

If my javaw.exe file is located in a folder named
j2sdk1.4.1 in my C:\ drive, what would my complete
path be? In that case (which is hardly prabable), the full path is
C:\j2sdk1.4.1
(probably C:\j2sdk1.4.1\bin would be your actual case.)

I want to install and use iText SDK for creating pdf files. I'm using Sun ONE Studio 5 and I just can+t get it working. It says that cannot find import libraries. What to do??

Mount the IText libs and/or jars in the Explorer; S1S creates its own classpath from mounted directories and jars, ignoring any classpath that you set outside of S1S - as I believe all IDE's do.

3 seriouse problems with my new Z10 help plz

Hi I just got my new Z10 BB but I was a little disappointed about the BBM first I have 800 contacts and its and sending them a BC by selecting them one by one is a real torture!!! is there any comming update for the BBM to fix this issue and make sending BC to large contacts by catogery? second current view way for the contact list make it almost impossible to look for a certain contact at least they should give the user the applity to close and open the catogery list! and finally all other smart phones has instagram app when we will see the app on BB! seriously Im not happy about my new device and I regret buying it hope there will a soon software updates for all these issues I bit if these problems fixed Z10 will be the best smart phone ever

Problems installing ...please help..running out of time

Iam trying to install 9ias application server 1.0.2.0 on win NT, and iam getting the error..
THE SPECIFIED KEY VALUE WAS NOT FOUND WHILE TRYING TO GET VALUE.

We may need more information on the circumstances associated with the user's
machine and their install session, but here's a few tips to share:
1. Ensure that the user is logged in as Administrator or equivalent and has
write access to the registry.
2. If running from a network drive mapping, make sure the drive mapping is
permanent or persistent so after login it will be remapped if your system
requires a reboot during install.
3. Make sure the user is launching the install from the iSetup.EXE located
in the root of Disk 1 and not from any other SETUP.EXE. The sole exception
to this is for silent installs, which is covered in Chapter 6 of the install
guide.
4. If OUI displays an error message, don't panic. Most OUI dialogs have a
help button with some useful information, and other errors will be written
to the InstallActions.log file, located in the C:\Program
Files\Oracle\Inveltory\logs directory. When an error is displayed, don't
click OK before you have had a chance to open this log file and review the
last few lines in the log.
Looking in the log file will be particularly useful for this error because
the OUI script appears to be looking for a registry entry that is not
present on the user's machine. Most likely, the user didn't launch
iSetup.EXE from the CD root.

Problem Installing Jive Portlet(please help me)

i am installing the Jive Portlet on OralceAS 10g on a new instance of oc4j, but got errors.
i extracted the OracleProviderForJive.zip, but when we run the test URL:

and when i want to add it as external application when i login to this external application

"itunes encountered a problem and needed to close" - help plz

I've been using itunes for a while but when my sister got a new ipod she wanted the upgraded program so i downloaded the new program on top. It worked until we rebooted the computer and since then it would come up with an error. Afterwards, I uninstalled the program and reinstalled itunes 7.0, but when we went to open the program it said it couldn't read the itunes library, so i then deleted those files and now instead it says "itunes encountered a problem and needed to close" whenever i try to open it. Can someone please tell me what to do?

wanpedro I tried what you suggested but have again got nowhere.I tried to uninstall QuickTime it just wont.I uninstalled iTunes & reinstalled it with QuickTime from Apple website.I'm back to where I was with the error message
"iTunes & Quicktime have encountered a problem & need to close tell Microsoft about this problem" When one does that there is no feedback from MS With Qucktime uninstall a message says Fatal error on installation.

Problem installing Quicktime 7 Pro, help inquiry.

Hi, Im on 10.6.2, I already had Quicktime X installed on the machine, which came with Snow Leopard, But I just purchased Quicktime 7 Pro, and wanted to install that, when I tried, it would not let me because QT X was already installed, so I throw QT X in the trash, then try and download pro, but still, it says that QT X is still there.
The reason I want QT Pro over QT X, is that with Pro I cant take still photos and make them into a video sequence, which I believe X cannot do.
Any idea how to get this QT X off my system, so It will let me install QT Pro.
