hello nokia, i have problem installing new email and calendar update version 3.6 (5) in nokia 701 fp2...i have download it when it appears in my software update and after download installation start and i waited for the installation to finish up but the phone switch off its self ...phone starts again n again i try to install but the phone switchng of itself ...i try many times but it didn't work...so need help guyz love nokia thnkz

It's an anti-virus related issue. First tried to disable only protection, firewall, etc., but it did not work fine.
As suggested, so I deleted KMS (but keeping the application settings and objects in quarantine), and was finally able to complete the installation of the update.Then installed again KMS and everything still works fine.
No experience of Wi-Fi issues.

Hi, if you have an antivirus software on your e7 then this could be the cause. Uninstall it and it probably will work.

Thank you for posting.
Before the phone restarts, do you get any error message when trying to update the calendar and the email? Are these updates for the email or calendar apps, or just for their contents? Aside from these two apps, are you able to download the updates for the other apps if there are any? It would be easier for the community to answer your query if you can provide more details about it.

Hi Guys!
I have a problem and i don't find any topic about it.
So, i run nokia suit and i saw there is an update for email and calendar. i clicked the update and it start to install but in half way my phone is restarting and got an error message without code. The message was: " Connection lost with the device.
Installation not be completed because the connection has been lost with the device. Connect the device with an USB cable and try again.
Is there a sollution or i can't update my apps?

When I wanted to install the update "Mail and Calendar" phone "died" in the middle of the installation (colored bars have sprung up on the screen, the phone does not respond and there was an automatic restart) after a reboot I tried again with the same result.
The problem was the ESET (antivirus) I deleted it.
I installed the update, everything was ok until when I wanted to connect to wi-fi.
Was connected but after 15-30 seconds disconnected. Transfer of data (internet [tel-router-ips])did not work. I checked on the router connected - internet connection was ok. The computers also checked - worked (the Internet). Even turned off the phone and take out battery for 5 minutes. It did not help. I typed on the keyboard * # 7370 # and hardreset - helped. I wonder why this happened. I won't install that update. Phone: Nokia 500 Software: Nokia Belle Refresh brand Playmobile version: 111.021.0028. Sorry for my English

Thanks for the response. It's a mixture of different things -- for example, my email syncs (over the air) but not my calendar. Others are experiencing no syncing at all.

Hi Brendan. Thanks for your clue but unfortunately that did not solve the problem. Prior to posting my query I had already checked out the article you're referring me to (whose URL is http://support.apple.com/kb/PH3605). It may well be that I'm not being crystal clear owing to my far from perfect English but the whole point is precisely that I'm not able to import contacts which ALREADY appear on my iPad - being the outcome of syncing my remote MS Exchange account with the device - into iCloud. The procedure described in the quoted article simply doesn't work (for that matter, no such Setting sign pops up under ICloud contacts). In fact, it appears that the only contacts which I'm able to keep under iCloud are those which I directly create from scratch within iCloud Group itself. Since I'm likely to have my MS outlook account ( which is mirrored into a MS Exchange one for remote usage) forcibly deleted in one month time or so, I started worrying about how to keep my contacts alive/ intact after that deletion. Start with your finger at the bottom of the screen (about even with the home button) and swipe in an upward motion. There should be a row of icons at the top of a grey field. if the quarter-moon icon is bright white, tap it. If it was (and still is) dark, take the iPhone in to be evaluated by a qualified technician.

Error updating RSS feed, email and calendar

About 2 weeks ago my Droid X running Gingerbread, stopped updating RSS feeds, email and calendar but other apps/widgets seem to work fine.
If I go in to the RSS feed and try to subscribe to a new feed I get the following error message, "Can't add news subscription now. Try again later."
Also noticed that Check for update gives "Check for update is not available at this time. Try again later."
My thought was to try to manually reinstall Gingerbread. Followed instructions found on other forum sites but when trying to reload GB from recovery I get the following error:

Thanks for providing your experience on refreshing the RSS feeds on your device. Based on the information you have given and what Cody21 previously stated, I recommend as factory reset also. Before doing a reset, I suggest verifying that your contacts are saved on Gmail and/or backup assistant and calendars are backed up on your Gmail account. This is to ensure that your personal info can easily be restored after the factory reset. Any digital media, like pictures and videos, will be saved on your memory card & won't be erased unless you wish to do so.
Once the reset is done, try to access and update your RSS feed to your preference to confirm that the issue is resolved. If so, please respond to this posting so other can benefit from your experience. If not, then feel free to elaborate on your experience after the reset so we can further assist.

HT5625 Here's my story: I "signed out" of my account on my IPAD. Then I DID NOT hit "create a new ID" - I simply filled in the top information with new email and password (the ipads new owner) - this got all set up but now when it wants to update anything

I also recently changed the email associated with my own account
because I will be moving and will be unable to use that address much longer...
now I am not yet sure I can update my own apps (will it ask for old email and password?)
on the given IPAD - with the new Apple ID and password it is asking for
my present but soon to be disabled email with password - but it does not
recognize the password (i dont think it will recognize it when i upgrade as well!)
QUESTION
How do I straighten this mess out to be able to update all future apps on two

Apps are forever tied to the Apple ID under which they were purchased. If your friend wants to be able to manage apps on their device using their own Apple ID, they will need to delete all the apps purchased using your Apple ID and buy their own.
Hopefully, you just updated your own Apple ID with the new email and didn't make the mistake of creating a new Apple ID. If you created a new ID, stop using it now, don't buy anything using it and go back and update the ID under which you purchased your apps.

I have a question about email. I have several thousand emails in 10 or so days. How can I select multiple emails for deletion in stead of one at a time? How do I designate emails from a given sender as junk or block certain senders?

I'd suggest converting your old videos to one of those formats
handbrake is a free program which does this for you
itunes used to be able to too when I right clicked incompatible media but don't see the option any more
or maybe it only show when one right click incompatible media and currently my lib don't have any

if they are acc protected have you tried to remove the DRM this can be don using itunes as

What do you mean you can't delete it... in the Service Books?
Highlight one, don't click on it. Press Menu > Delete.
