    Hi,
This is regarding "[wldeploy] java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out; No available router to destination. Ensure the url represents a running admin server and that the credentials are correct. If using http protocol, tunneling must be enabled on the admin server."
Login to your weblogic server console. Navigate to Environments -> Server -> AdminServer -> Protocols
You will see a check box with the name Tunneling, just enable it and save the configuration.
Try now, the above exception will not occur.

  • Weblogic Managed server not starting after installing OIM 11g

    Hi All,
I have installed OIM 11g successfully and I am able to start the WL Admin Server. But when I try to start the Managed Server for OIM (oim_server1), the screen just disappears and do not generate any logs.
I haven't used the WL JDK while installing, used seperate JDK. Does it create any problem in starting the managed Server.
    Please help in solving this..
    Thanks,
    anag

    Hi,
How are you starting the managed server, is it like this?
    xlStartManagedServer.cmd oim_server1 <URL of admin server>

  • Problem in OIM Installation in Linux-64 bit environment

    Hi,
    Components used
    1. Oracle Database11gR1
    2. Weblogic Application server 10.3.0(installed in non clustered mode)
    3. OIM 9.1.0.1
Also ensured the above three are compatible.
I'm facing problem at the end of OIM installation in RedHat Linux-64 bit environment.
The error details in setup-weblogic.log file is given below
    ===================================
    setup-startscript:
    setup:
[echo] Setting up weblogic for xellerate complete.
    [ant] Exiting /oracle/oimserver/xellerate/setup/weblogic-setup.xml.
    BUILD FAILED
/oracle/oimserver/xellerate/setup/setup.xml:443: The following error occurred while executing this line:
/oracle/oimserver/xellerate/setup/weblogic-setup.xml:196: Could not create task or type of type: wlst.
Ant could not find the task or a class this task relies upon.
This is common and has a number of causes; the usual
solutions are to read the manual pages then download and
install needed JAR files, or fix the build file:
    - You have misspelt 'wlst'.
    Fix: check your spelling.
    - The task needs an external JAR file to execute
and this is not found at the right place in the classpath.
Fix: check the documentation for dependencies.
    Fix: declare the task.
    - The task is an Ant optional task and the JAR file and/or libraries
implementing the functionality were not found at the time you
yourself built your installation of Ant from the Ant sources.
Fix: Look in the ANT_HOME/lib for the 'ant-' JAR corresponding to the
task and make sure it contains more than merely a META-INF/MANIFEST.MF.
If all it contains is the manifest, then rebuild Ant with the needed
libraries present in ${ant.home}/lib/optional/ , or alternatively,
    download a pre-built release version from apache.org
    - The build file was written for a later version of Ant
Fix: upgrade to at least the latest release version of Ant
    - The task is not an Ant core or optional task
and needs to be declared using <taskdef>.
    - You are attempting to use a task defined using
<presetdef> or <macrodef> but have spelt wrong or not
defined it at the point of use
Remember that for JAR files to be visible to Ant tasks implemented
in ANT_HOME/lib, the files must be in the same directory or on the
    classpath
Please neither file bug reports on this problem, nor email the
Ant mailing lists, until all of these causes have been explored,
as this is not an Ant bug.

Further, I have identified that the ant was unable to launch a custom web logic task, wlst.
This custom task of web logic task is invoked by ant using the following script in <OIM_HOME>/xellerate/setup/weblogic-setup.xml.
    <target name="setup" depends="setup-startscript">
<echo>Setting up weblogic for xellerate complete.</echo>

    executeScriptBeforeFile="false"
    failOnError="true">
    </wlst>
    <antcall target="stopServer"/>
    <antcall target="startServer"/>
    </target>
Also I have ensured the all the environmental variables, JAVAOPTIONS, USER_MEM_ARGS, ANT_OPTS are properly set before installing OIM.
I have tried several times but still getting the same error.
Please help me to resolve this issue.
Did anyone face this issue before??????

I am not certain but when I was installing OIM 9.1.x with wls 10.3.0 on windows I had a failure too and it turned out I didn't create the wls domain user and group for OIM. The docs for OIM 9.1 does not talk about it so you may want to create this account and group and re-try the install. The steps are below:
Log in to the WebLogic Admin Console using your new account by pointing a web browser to the following url:
    http://<hostname>:7001/console
    1. Select Security, then Realms, then myrealm, and then Groups from the navigation panel on the left.
    2. Select the Configure a new Group link in the Groups page.
    3. Enter User for the group name in the Name field under the General tab and optionally enter a description for the group.Click Apply.
    Note:
The group name User is case-sensitive.
    4. Select Security, then Realms, then myrealm, and then Users from the navigation panel on the left.
    5. Select the Configure a new User link in the Users page.
    6. Enter Internal for the user name in the Name field under the General tab and optionally enter a description for the user.
    Note:
The user name Internal is case-sensitive.
    7. Enter and confirm a password associated with the user name Internal and click Apply.
    8. Select the Groups tab.
    9. Add the User group to the list of Current Groups for the Internal user by selecting User from the list of Possible Groups and clicking the --> right arrow button. Click Apply.
Please post back if it works,
    Thanks,

  • Error while installing OIM 9.1.0.1 server.

    Hi,
I installed database10.2.0.1 with DBA Group: oinstall. i also installed the weblogic 10.3.0. Now I am trying to install OIM server 9.1.0.1 on linux.
Before installing it i tried to run the prepare_xl_db.sh file by copying it to oracle home directory, i am getting the following error
"user doesnot have DBA priviliege. you need to part of dba group to run this script"
Can anybody help me how to solve this issue.
    Thanks & Regards

You need a group on your box called dba. The user that installs the database should be a member of this group. Then you should be running the prepare script as a user that is a member of the dba group.

Hi, running RHEL 4 32Bit Linux. There's an installation of the SOA Suite 10.1.3.1 (Release 2) on /u01/app/oracle/OracleAS_1, and I am installing OIM on /u01/app/oracle/OraHome_2
Near the end of the installation, when it's installing the recommended configuration assistants, I get an error while the OC4J Instance Configuration Assistant piece is running.
    Here's the full readout:

  • Installing OIM 11g on windows XP

I am a complete newbie to OIM.
Is there a document available for installing OIM 11g on windows XP?
Also can we use sunone directory server as the LDAP server with OIM?
    -Arnold

    Thanks a lot.
    That was really helpful.
Need bit of help on Oracle Identity manager (IDM). We have installed IDM on windows and when we wanted to configure domain and configure the managed server instances (in weblogic server) by clicking config.bat from common/bin, we were not able to see the Identity manager instance in the list. What could be the reason?
Should IDM be part of same domain as webcenter spaces? When we were trying to work with sapces it was expecting oracle identity server to be running.
When installing the identity manager it was asking oracle home. Does that mean oracle db has to reside on the machine where IDM is installed? Could be this be affecting the IDM instance not appearing in the list?

  • Install OIM 9.0.2 on Linux with JBOSS or OAS 10.1.3.1

    Hi all,
I try to install OIM on RHEL 4 update 3 .
First I installed OIM 9.0.2 in Oracle 10.2.0.1 with JBOSS and I obstacled with errors during compilling adapters of OEBS and OID from Connectors Pack.
After that I desided to install OIM in existing Oracle 10.2.0.1 on OAS 10.1.3.1 during installation I obstacle with follow error "Oracle Identity Manager installer has found that Oracle Application Server is not running. So, start Oracle Application Server and then proceed with installation."
I tested my OAS and I's starting
Please give me advise about my abilities with installation OIM 9.0.2 on Linux.

    For JBOSS I use
    ./java -version
    java version "1.4.2_13"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_13-b06)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2_13-b06, mixed mode)
    For OAS 10.1.3.1 I use
    ./java -version
    java version "1.5.0_06"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_06-b05)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 1.5.0_06-b05, mixed mode)
After all, I installed OIM 9.0.2 on OAS 10.1.3.1 but I have same problems which I have with JBOSS installation:
    1. I have warnings during import xml files of adapters such as
    OID User
[Warning] Warn:Target has more recent definition.
    Lookup.OID.Department

  • Installing new Secuirty provider on the WebLogic Server

    Hi Everyone,
I think you guys can find a solution for the problem i'm facing in configuring
the weblogic server. I'm evaluting the server a possible client and need to relpy
to him regarding the possible purchase before the mid of next week.
Problem: The problem i'm facing is as follows. I wrote a web service, I'm trying
to install a new service provider on the server. I did copied the jar files to
the java_home\jre\lib\ext directory and did made the change to the java.security
file as suggested in the "Professiona Java Security" book by wrox publication
. But when i run the code it doesn't works on the BEA Server. Even though i tested
    successfully on the java server.
The client wwritten in Java works fine. but the server, when tries to make call
to service, it fails on the call to the Encryption algorithm class.
Does any one of you have a solution for this problem. I'm waiting for your reply.
    Thanks in advance?

    Hi Boris,
Looks like you have not run the post upgrade script for 10.1.3.4.
You need to install SOA 10.1.3.4 Basic Installation. Then start following : http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12524_01/core.1013/e13058/weblogic.htm#BHCIIBFB
You basically, first install 10.1.3.4 basic SOA install, Apply the Opatch 7337034 (HOTPLUG: SOASUITE 10.1.3.4 ON WEBLOGIC 9.2 - CHANGES FOR HOTPLUGGABILITY). Install WLS 9.2 MP3.
Now, Download the Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 WebLogic Server 9.2 : patch : 7490612.
Then , Modify the following mandatory installation properties in the Weblogic_SOA10134_Base\SOADomain.properties file as per the documentation above.
    Cheers

  • Problems Installing OBIEE 11.1.1.5 on Windows XP32 step ASInstance Creation

Problems Installing OBIEE 11.1.1.5 on Windows XP32 step ASInstance failed
    The problem starts here
weblogic.Deployer invoked with options: -adminurl NAR-GMIKOLAY:7001 -username weblogic -name NonJ2EEManagement -source C:\oracle\OBIEE\Oracle_BI1\opmn\applications\NonJ2EEManagement.ear -nostage -deploy -upload -noexit

    then evolves into

    Caused by: oracle.as.provisioning.engine.CfgWorkflowException
    Caused by: oracle.as.provisioning.util.ConfigException:

    Caused by: weblogic.deploy.api.tools.deployer.DeployerException: PermGen spac
    Caused by: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space
I have tried reinstalling 6 different times each after cleaning registry and Middleware folder and environment variables, installation folders,
deleting middleware home. I cannot get past this "step ASInstance failed"
I am using the Simple Install.
I've tried so many of the ideas suggested out here, from verifiying the loop-back adapter in hosts in windows/system32/drivers/etc/
pinging the host computer to verify
some suggested turning internet off while installing OBIEE
    I need some help.
I have 4 GB installed memory
    Oracle Database Enterprise Edition 11.2.0.1
    Oracle RCU 11.1.1.5
    OBIEE 11.1.1.5
    oraparam.ini JRE_MEMORY_OPTIONS=" -mx768m -XX:MaxPermSize=768m" ( cannot change these during simple install)
    Cannot run software install only
I tried same with OBIEE 11.1.1.6 using RCU 11.1.1.6
Cannot get past the step ASInstance failed.
On top of this, there is the humiliation of hearing people set up 11.1.1.3 with 2 GB memory on Windows XP32.
Now I understand, size-wise there is major difference between 11.1.1.3 and 11.1.1.6 and 11.1.1.5
But I cannot get through this process anyhow and 11.1.1.3 is not available
of course there is a windows 32 install so, given the memory requirements and memory limitations of Windows 32 bit, and other people's success I cannot understand my reason for failure.
    Please help

Please check the System Requirements for OBIEE 11.1.1.5, Windows XP might not be supported.

after install OIM, i how to start OID server?

    Hi,
    1) Make sure that Weblogic Node Manager is running at background.
    2) Make sure that all weblogic Managed Servers related to OIM (port 14000) and OID 11g LDAP Port 3060, LDAPS Port 3131, wls_ods1 (DIP & ODSM) is running on 7005 and WebLogic Admin Server is running on Port 7001.
    3) Check whether all the OID Services are running by following commands
    a.     export ORACLE_INSTANCE=/u01/app/oracle/admin/oid1_inst
    b.     $ORACLE_INSTANCE/bin/opmnctl status
